Holman's Heritage Suites

Suite was clean, cozy and comfortable, original home touches with modern conveniences. Owners and staff were very helpful and courteous. Was very walkable and we enjoyed the outside garden and family ambience of the ice cream parlor.

Great historic property with charm aplenty. The principals were very accommodating and went above and beyond to ensure a late check in. And yes, the Ice Cream is a must!

The room was very quiet, clean and comfortable and the price is very very reasonable.

Stayed in a 2 floor apartment with a small kitchen. We could park right outside the door. The property was close to dining options and right above the ice cream shoppe. It was clean, roomy, and quiet. We would recommend. The location was a good jumping off point for visits to Cavendish and the North Cape.

If you're looking for a home-like atmosphere rather than a chain motel, this is definitely the place to go! Very spacious with quality vintage furnishings. Incredibly comfortable and relaxing stay. It was a pleasure to interact with the owners and staff. We will be staying here for all our annual PEI visits. Highly recommend!

Quiet, clean, charming, close to waterfront, etc. As a bonus, a delicious ice cream shop in same building on main foor!

Our stay at Holman’s Heritage Suites was truly wonderful. The house was spotless, comfortable, and filled with antique charm that brought Anne of Green Gables to mind. The kitchen had everything we needed, the location was excellent, and the ice cream shop downstairs was absolutely delicious. We also loved the beautiful garden and the local performances. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, which made our stay even more special. Visiting PEI for the first time with our children was unforgettable, and we left with such happy memories. I would highly recommend this place to friends and anyone visiting the island!

Fabulous and huge suite above the ice cream parlor. Quiet, lovely, and a piece of history.

We stayed in the Holman executive suite. The accomations were wonderful. The full kitchen was perfect for saving on meals. The space was clean spacious and perfect for the family. Some perks included the best ice cream doqnstairs and the ability to do a load of laundry. The owners were very nice and available if you needed anything. This stay was nothing less than perfect for our family of four.

We stayed in the executive apartment. It was much bigger than we realized. It has a private entrance from the ground floor, a living room and kitchen on the second floor of the home and a bedroom with two Queen beds, a big walk in closet and a bathroom on the third floor. We enjoyed exploring the island and coming home to the most delicious ice cream every night!

We stayed for 3 nights and it was a great base for exploring central PEI. It was an easy walk to lots of places to eat and to the boardwalk for sunset. Ellen’s garden suite was clean, comfortable, and very cute, with chairs on the patio if we didn’t want to sit right in the garden. The ice cream shop conveniently located below was a great place for a treat in the evening! Check in / check out was very easy and having laundry available was another excellent perk!

This was a homey experience. The apartment was very comfortable and worked great for our family. The location was beautiful and convinient. The host was fantastic and communicated well before and durning our stay. We woukd 100% stay here again!

Holman Suites is a fantastic place to stay! The second floor apartment has a kitchen (full refrigerator, toaster, toaster oven, hot plate, kettle & microwave…no oven) The kitchen is well stocked. There is a living room, bathroom and separate spacious bedroom with a comfortable queen sized bed and wardrobe with lots of windows offering natural light. It’s 2 blocks from the ocean and is above Holmans Ice Cream parlour…the ice cream is so yummy! Free onsite parking This is my second time staying here and highly recommend it! The staff are so friendly!

A lovely and well cared for property with everything you need. The suites are soundproof and well stocked. We ate the most delicious ice cream every day, sat by the outdoor fire, enjoyed the gardens and loved every minute. We will definitely be returning.

The weather was amazing during our stay July 18-20, 2025 the room was well air conditioned so you could sleep comfortably. The fact there was an ice cream parlour downstairs was a big added bonus. It was also very quiet in the room you would never know there was an ice cream parlour downstairs. It was close to anywhere you wanted to go. It was my son and nephews first time to the island so it was a great experience for both of them and they really enjoyed themselves. I would recommend Holmans to anyone looking for a place to stay on the island it’s a home away from home.

Such a lovely gem. We were happily surprised by how large the suite was. The smell of ice cream was often whafting through the floor of the living room and we had to make sure to have a visit downstairs to try it! Communication with the owners was thorough and check in was so easy. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it again.

The suite was large and clean. The charm of the heritage building added to the warmth of the place. The remote "check-in" was easy.

Nice location in heritage home. Downtown there is the most delicious ice cream business in PEI, they are very busy, it did not affect our stay. Lots of space with bedroom, kitchen area and living room.

We booked for the CBMF weekend, the rate was very reasonable, and the room offered everything we wanted. The check-in was contactless as we had received instruction and a door code in advance. We had no issues whatsoever. It is a lovely property, our suite was perfect with a separate bedroom, pull out couch in the living area and a kitchenette. Parking was included and on the property. We checked out early Sunday morning, and realized when we were unpacking at home that we had left a souvenir from the festival in the room. When I called, Daniel was very helpful and quickly sent me a picture to confirm what had been forgotten. He arranged to have the item shipped back to us. Fantastic service!

Clean and spacious, steps away from some of the very best ice cream in PEI

My daughter and I really enjoyed our stay at Holman’s! We had a beautiful studio. Close to everything in Summerside and walking distance to pier and restaurants. We also enjoyed our evening scoop of delicious Holmans home made ice cream right downstairs!

The apartment was quite comfortable and spacious with a separate living room. It is situated above an ice cream (excellent by the way) parlor and parking is easy and secure. Access is easy and staff was well prepared for our arrival. Message exchange with owner prior to arrival gave all info required for easy access. Only drawback is you cannot control temperature in the apt as it is controlled downstairs by the ice cream parlor. Depending on the season of your visit it may not be an issue. In between seasons, it is a little different as you may want warmer in the bedroom but cannot adjust. I assume if it was an issue, the owners would cooperate and help you out. They want you to be comfortable.

We liked the quiet and heritage property.

Our apartment above the famous ice cream shop was spacious, clean, well appointed. The gardens downstairs are just lovely and the perfect spot for an early morning cup of tea. The location is near downtown, the waterfront, and the walking trail. We highly recommend the apartments.

Nice spot during our visit to PEI and the ice cream was great. The construction beside us started really early so no sleeping in. Daniel was very helpful and made good recommendations on local fare. Thank you

We loved staying at Holman’s Heritage Suites. Our room was the Sister’s Parlour Room. It is a large suite, with large bedroom, comfy bed and plenty of living space. Some nice antique pieces with a mix of modern makes the room lovely. All very clean. Having the Holman’s Ice Cream Parlour below us made it very easy to buy a few tasty ice creams. I loved the outside gardens.

Everything was great ( room, staff, area). They took great care in communicating several times leading up to our stay on such things as the check in, room, directions, ice cream parlor, parking, etc. The only thing that we didnt have was cable to watch the hockey games at night. There was a large screen tv with roku, disney+, and netflix, so we had lots to watch, except the playoff hockey game lol. We would definitely stay there again!

We enjoyed our stay at Holman’s (I mean, it’s above an ice cream parlour…) - we stayed in Suite 2. It was comfy and a great hub for our adventures in PEI. Full kitchen, streaming channels on the TV and a great comfy bed. The bathroom was also great - nice water pressure, fluffy towels and lots of room. We stayed a few weeks before the season opened so the island was quieter. And the ice cream - we had rocky road and tin roof. So yummy! Highly recommend staying here!

Beaucoup d’espace. Entrée privée. Cuisine pratique.

Clean, quiet and friendly. The bonus was the homemade ice cream shop below and the use of the laundry facilities. Lovely walk to the water just two blocks area.

We came to visit PEI for the first time from Colorado. We found the staff incredible in wanting our visit to be perfect.... and it was! The rooms are sizable and quiet in a stately Summerside home.

Quaint and comfortable property with delicious smells wafting up from the ice cream & waffle parlour downstairs!!! What we didn’t like….LEAVING

This suite was spacious and clean. We loved staying here.

A wonderful blend of historic characteristics with modern and complete amenities; has beautiful gardens, suite is part of heritage building with ice cream parlour, where ice cream is beyond fantastic; close to Confederation trail for walking or cycling; excellent hospitality

The suite above the icecream parlour was roomy and beautifully appointed. We felt right at home. A lovely place to come back to after touring. Loved the music on Saturday morning.

What an amazing property you have!!! We enjoyed our stay very much! We didn’t spend a ton of time in our room as we were out exploring PEI…but our room was very clean and comfortable…when we come back this way this will be the place we stay at!! The ice cream is amazing as well…the best bubblegum ice cream I’ve ever had!!!

Enjoyable, clean and great location for walking.

Good location for Summerside. Owners were very responsive. Some of the best ice cream I have ever had. Quite noisy until 11 PM some nights. Beautiful gardens on the property.

The suite was beautiful, clean, quiet and perfect for our stay.

My sister and I stayed in the "Sister Suite". Loved that it is a beautiful heritage home and we enjoyed tea on the upper balcony. Would highly recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay here. It’s a charming suite. Thank you very much for having us. We would definitely book again!

Quaint suite in a heritage building above an ice cream parlor ( better than Cows). Big suite. We rented it because it was an efficiency but they dont provide a stove or hot plate to cook anything.

We were pleasantly surprised upon the arrival of our room. It was quaint and comfortable offering all the modern amenities

Grande suite/appartement ; propre avec le personnel très sympathique. La crème glacée en bas était un plus !

The beds were very comfortable, and the bedroom had a screened window that opened wide to let in the beautiful fresh sea air, so we slept very well. The kitchen/living area was nice and bright. And the beautiful garden was perfect for enjoying our morning coffee (with Summerside's best coffee shop just two blocks away). A very relaxing place to stay!

The rooms sit on top of the best ice cream shop in town! Our room (#2) was huge and had separate sleeping, lounging and kitchen areas. The location is perfect for exploring the downtown and waterfront areas. We were very comfortable and would stay here again.

Loved everything about the property. The location was walking distance to the waterfront and coffee shops. The suite was clean, spacious and had an antique charm.

What a great place to stay. Perfect setting and very relaxing. I would definitely recommend this property.

Absolutely wonderful suite in a historic home. Close to downtown with off street parking.

This property is truly amazing. Ken and Jenny's hospitality is truly flawless. They have thought of everything. The morning we were set to arrive I received a message that they had received a last-minute cancellation and they were upgrading us (a family of 4) to their executive suite (we originally booked the sister's parlor, I believe). It was beyond thoughtful. Their communication was so clear before, during, and after our stay. Not to mention the AMAZING ice cream downstairs. It was a child's paradise staying above an ice cream shop. Thank you so much Ken and Jenny!! We will be back and will tell everyone that is visiting PEI about where to stay for sure!!!!!

The Holman’s was quite a surprise ! A beautiful, safe and convenient place to stay. Fully renovated Victorian home with historical charm and wonderful aroma from the ground level ice cream parlour!

Excellent accommodations, friendly staff and room was great.

Old heritage house very nice and clean… comfortable and everything we needed was there for us , would go back anytime!! ❤️

Ken and Jenny we're wonderful hosts. The ice cream is amazing too.

Overall a great experience!

Ken and Jenny were wonderful hosts: great communication and very responsive. The Sisters Suite was super clean, nicely decorated, and fully supplied with everything one could want. Keypad entry codes for the front door and apartments made coming and going easy. We woke every morning to the smell of waffle cones, and the ice cream was fantastic!

Wonderful family run business with ice cream parlour below! Suites are well equipped, lovely and comfortable. Just a couple blocks to the Summerside waterfront.

The property was laid out very nicely. Love the picnic tables with napkins available on them. Plenty of sitting with a bonfire pit. Everything was kept up. Nice and clean. Staff were friendly. In walking distance to some attractions.

Wonderful place to stay in Summerside. You are greeted by the smell of fresh ice cream cones.

loved the ice cream\

Ken and Jenny are amazing hosts….this quaint old house has so much charm, due to how thoughtfully they have done the 3 suites….we had a most memorable experience there. As well their homemade ice cream is off the charts delicious. Would highly recommend to those who love suites in an older home….loved every minute there. Planning on returning again Thanks Jenny and Ken! You are number one in my charts! Diann Cooke

Ken was very accommodating when we needed to move the date of our stay up. The suite was very comfortable and spacious. We especially appreciated having laundry facilities as we were travelling for some time. Ken was available to help with all of our needs and very friendly.

My Wife and I really enjoyed our stay. Lots of room and some great antique furniture! ... and an Ice Cream shop downstairs! What more could one ask for?

Excellent emplacement directement dans une cremerie ! Maison d’époque dans une belle petite ville tranquille, sans hésitation je vous le recommande !

beautiful historic property.,good location, nice property

Lovely heritage home, well appointed suites, in an ice cream parlour. What is not to like.

Great location, and who wouldn’t love to be directly above a delicious ice cream shop! Comfortable bed, spacious living room area, and plenty of hot water for showers. Oh, and they have a guest laundry they provide Free of Charge! Coffee maker, fridge/freezer, microwave...only slightly missed not having a hot plate in the room. Wonderful staff, thank you!!

The rooms are above an ice cream shop - ice cream and waffle cones are homemade and are amazing -blueberry ice cream and the waffle cone were worth going all the way to PEI for! The property itself was immaculate. Seriously I think it was the cleanest place I’ve ever stayed at. The room was well cared for, Ken approachable and friendly!! I would stay there again !! Check out JMK fish market - we ate lobster for breakfast lunch and supper! We had great mussels and haddock at Deckside as well! The sunsets at Summerside were something to behold as well!

This was a great place to stay for us and our children, lots of space ,clean and the ice cream parlour is a must ! Five stars !

Lovely suite in a heritage house. Easy check in/out. Clean and well decorated.

It was a great place to stay even in the winter time caught in a snow storm. Ken was great to deal with. I enjoyed my stay and will come back. Thank You & Best Regards JC Richard
