Staff were great, really welcoming and friendly. Made us feel like part of the family instantly!
The first room we were shown, room 12, was right next to the kitchen. It stank of food and was very noisy from the kitchen fan. We declined to stay in it and we were offered a room which had none of these problems. It was clean and spacious with a comfortable bed and a very nice bathroom. Unfortunately the TV remote didn’t work despite the efforts of staff to fix it and tractor on the premises, roared to life very close to our window at 6.10am. We ate on the premises and found that the things we wanted were not available, apparently because it was Monday. The charming waitress offered us one free starter which was kind. The building itself sits in beautiful grounds but needs some tlc. The breakfast was excellent.
Food exceptional. Grounds beautifully maintained. Friendly and very comfortable bed. Highly recommend.
Parc La Breos House is a Victorian (mostly) pleasure. Our room (6) was a good size. The view was over the farm buildings which aren't the most picturesque, but it is nice to see a working farm. It did mean the farm vehicles started up about 7am, but that is to be expected! The grounds are beautiful and very well kept by the brothers who live there. The lounge has gorgeous paneling and a spectacular fireplace that was brought from Italy with Seville tile inset. It would be a wonderfully cozy place in winter. The winding drive takes some careful navigating as it is rather long and single track with only a few passing places. The breakfasts were plentiful and a good choice, from full Welsh to Eggs Royale or waffles. The dinners were frankly better than we expected. We ate there two of the three nights we stayed and everything was very good. We especially liked the popcorn cockles! The prices were very reasonable. The wine list was short, but varied enough to find something to suit. The only tiny flaw was a cheap toilet seat that was loose. The rest of the bathroom is very well fitted out, so that was a minor niggle. There is no air conditioning, but luckily we brought our own fan and were comfortable even though it was fairly warm. The Gower Heritage Centre at the crossroads to the hotel is a very interesting place to visit with a working water mill. Shepard's Store is also worth a visit. If we are in the area, we would definitely stay here again.
A fantastic stay at Parc le Breos. The staff were extremely accommodating to our needs which made the stay even better. We will definitely be back! Thank you for looking after us so well!
Brilliant stay, stayed as a family of 4 room had plenty of space , it was clean and comfortable, definitely stay again
Comfortable stay with excellent breakfasts Complimentary tea and welsh cakes on arrival was a nice touch. All staff were very helpful Information on local walks was useful.
Amazing hotel and grounds.
service really good, staff are super nice and the place is very scenic to stay
Lovely place to d
Excellent location and very tranquil. Staff very attentive to detail and the breakfast was awesome.
A homely and comfortable country house in which to enjoy a few days exploring The Gower. The staff are so very friendly and obliging. They could not do more to make you feel welcome and to assist in any way. Breakfasts and evening meals are excellent, and the lounge with wood fire is a joy. Parking is convenient. I highly recommend the afternoon teas too. Our thanks go to everyone.
Lovely little hotel with amazing service. Would highly recommend staying here for a nice wkd away. Only downfall was the thin walls you could hear your neighbours but we were so tired from our hikes it didn’t matter. We would 100% go back here.
Lovely relaxing place to stay. Staff friendly and accommodating. Location great for nearby 3 cliffs beach. Approximately 20 minutes walk. Would definitely stay there again.
Beautifully maintained property and garden. Great service and excellent food
What a beautiful hotel and stunning grounds. Characterful and comfortable communal areas and delightful staff. Mattress/pillows were a little substandard by contemporary standards
We liked the whole atmosphere surrounding the house and gardens etc. the staff were super and very helpful. The breakfasts were great especially the Welsh breakfast! We will be coming again. The only downside was that we paid £310 to Expedia as opposed to £254 if we had booked directly with you!! A lesson to be learnt.
Amazing hosts, loved our visit! Will come again!
Very lovely main lounge area with woodburing stove - great breakfasts with especially great staff too for breakfast and dinner service and Bar on the evening the restaurant was closed. Would very much like to come and stay again - Other guests had walked down to the 3 cliffs bay and we did not have enough time for this - easy drive to university where we were seeing our daughter .
Lovely hotel and staff. Very welcoming and thoughtful. Afternoon tea a delight. Easy walk to the coast too.
Wonderful B&B in a very special area
This is a wonderful hotel. It is beautiful situated in a park-like landscape. The drive to the hotel is fun and beautiful. The house is just gorgeous both inside and out. The room was clean and comfortable with the best shower we had anywhere in the UK. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful. The restaurant is really good and the food is phenomenal. Breakfast was excellent. Recommend the full English breakfast. Highly recommend.
We felt like royalty, the food is 5 star for sure.
The greeting at reception was excellent, providing a great amount of information about the house and services.
Lovely place, good breakfast, staff all very nice. Would definitely return
The property is well located for he Gower peninsula , the house and grounds are beautiful. The staff are friendly and helpful.
We had five days at PlB and it really was a positive experience. The hotel projects a feeling of days past with lots of dark wood and panelling but very comfortable. The staff are really accommodating and helpful. The grounds are well maintained with lots of space. A great stay and good food.
Très beau lieu en campagne, excellent restaurant, service courtois!
A beautiful country hotel in a stunning setting. Super friendly welcome and very comfortable. A proper treat.
Hotel was authentic in Beautiful grounds, excellent service.
We loved the location of the hotel and the friendliness of the staff. The grounds were kept immaculately tidy.
The hotel is in beautiful country grounds. The approach is off the beaten track, but well worth the drive. The hotel is very much kept in Stately home manor style. Rooms are very much in keeping with the hotel, bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was the best I’ve ever had in a hotel. Choice was fantastic! The staff were super polite and nothing too much trouble. Went for a walk around the grounds, superb!! I will definitely go back next visit to Swansea.
Stayed over the bank holiday and was highly impressed, couldn't fault it and looking forward to future return trips. Easy to get to, well sign-posted, free parking out front, spacious facilities and lovely grounds. A good base for getting out and exploring Gower. Very friendly, attentive staff; we were told on check-in to treat the place like home, which was a lovely touch. Food is amazing, make sure to book an evening meal. Bit of advice: The shorter walk to the beach, across the hotel lawn, involves a very steep path followed by high sand dunes and we found the longer walk down the drive, over Parkmill a lot easier!
Great hotel that was cosy and friendly. We travelled as a family with two boys 7 and 14. The staff were extremely friendly and we felt very at home. The main room was a great place to have a drink and play board games by the fire. The room was lovely with big windows overlooking the grounds and really comfortable beds. The breakfast was fantastic and as it was Easter the staff had hidden some eggs in the front garden that my son enjoyed finding,
Incredible food, beautiful accommodation and surroundings. Highly recommend, we will be back!!!
Great stay....felt really safe....everything was Covid secure. Staff were excellent.
Well run country house hotel, the staff are very friendly and an excellent restaurant. Highly recommended. Near three cliffs bay with plenty of walks nearby.
Hotel is set in superb settings, nice atmosphere, log fire, quiet comfortable rooms, Great service and friendly staff will return again
Really lovely location, fabulous room spotlessly clean, and very friendly staff.
Friendly, good service, quirky Access a little difficult
From the moment we walked in the front door, we were greeted by all members of staff we met. Friendly, polite and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was spotless and cosy with beautiful views from the window. The only meal we had was breakfast, which was delicious - so much choice. The grounds were spectacular and we had a relaxing walk before we had to leave. On our list to return.
Friendly, welcoming, homely, lovely grounds, excellent decor and cleanliness, great breakfast. Very highly recommended.
Wonderful idyllic location near incredible scenery. Outstanding level of service and very friendly staff. Great stay.
Gorgeous place with a beautiful garden. Stayed with two small children at Easter. They enjoyed the Easter egg hunt organised by staff. Garden has a pond and working farm with cows and ducks. Woodland is amazing and there is a public footpath to the beach. Staff was friendly and helpful. Food was amazing, they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner too.
Such a great boutique hotel with lovely features. The staff were very attentive and helpful
Old fashioned building in need of upgrading but I’m truly lovely setting tho in slightly remote part of Gower Penninsula. Friendly helpful staff. Food average.
Fantastic old Victorian hunting lodge set in the countryside. Food excellent, staff very pleasant. Good walking from the house withe the Gower beyond. An excellent choice.
Lovely b&b, very friendly staff. Evening menu is delicious, would recommend eating there. Breakfast nice too. Room was a decent size with a nice view of the grounds. Would highly recommend.
We had a few days at Parc le Breos. The deluxe room we had was spacious and comfortable. Lovely large comfortable bed. We did 3 walks from the guest house which were excellent. The directions (which we downloaded from the website) were really clear and took us across becahes, over hills and through the woods. NB if you are taking a bus home from one of the walks, it's best to check the timetables as they can be pretty infrequent. Breakfast was ideal, including a couple of specials. We also had an evening meal in the restaurant which was reasonably priced (and included a great steak). The residents kitchen was particularly helpful as when we got back from a long walk we could just make ourselves a tea/coffee which we drank on the terrace overlooking the gardens. We would thoroughly recommend a stay at Parcle Breos.
Wonderful location for walking the Gower coast. Comfortable and very friendly hotel.
Lovely friendly staff. Thank you to Ash who welcomed us on arrival he arranged for drinks, taxi and went that extra mile to make us feel special.
A bit like staying with your nan!.... lovely helpful staff, very nice food. A nice clean and comfortable stay. House is a period property. Internally it’s quite old fashioned but very clean. Lovely communal lounge with a big fireplace. I was disappointed that the games room was out of action when we stayed as that was a draw when booking. Great location - 20 min walk to Three Cliffs beach.
Habitaciones confortables. Entorno de prados y bosques muy bonito. Bastante aislado. Recomendable si gusta la naturaleza.
Beautiful location and they try very hard. However it is not a cheap option and I would not give it four stars. They were cheery and kind but it was very old fashioned (not in the good sense) and was like stepping back into the 70s. The food was plain but ok. Over cooked rather than undercooked. However the gardens are beautiful and the room was very pleasant - but what I would expect from a hotel rather than “deluxe”.
Perfect hotel, very peaceful location .Delicious breakfasts. A few more pods of milk would have been good- only had 2 for one of the days, and perhaps a few biscuits after a long journey would be most welcome .
Lovely family run hotel, set in beautiful surroundings close to some of the best beaches on Gower. We spent a long weekend there at the end of March, we were incredibly lucky with the weather and made full use of the walks on the website. It is a comfortable hotel, the staff are friendly and go out of their way to make it a pleasant and relaxing stay. The Gower Heritage Centre is a short walk and well worth a visit.
It was a warm, friendly and comfortable two-night stay. Ideal if you're looking for a small operation, staffed by a hard working and friendly group who are eager to make your stay as nice as possible.
