No heat in the room , tv wouldn’t work, poor communication. Waist of money

The staff was very friendly and the room was very clean. Close to shopping, restaurants and the beach.

-Kitchen needed attention - aluminum pans dirty, needed to be changed; preparation area streaky. -No spare roll of toilet paper. Couldn’t get heat. Cold. Needed more covers on bed. Woke up at night, cold. Needed socks and jacket. - receptionist friendly, told us how to lock door. Unable to help with getting TV to work. -clean but needs upgrading.

Neighbors were yelling and arguing all night and then started hammering the walls at 4:30 am

Great location!! The beach is across the street and there are many dining options within close walking distance.

The place is very close to the beach and splash park which is its biggest plus. Property is outdated but clean. Towels were either old or bad quality, they left lint on us after shower. Fridge was freezing great. There is coffee machine which is great but no kettle.

This property is dirty and the individual rooms are worse. But the thing that stands out the most is how unsafe it is. Rooms are on the ground floor and the windows do not have locks on them, they can literally be just pushed open from the outside. We had to stick coat hangers in the ledges to make them secure, this combined with the transients in the area made us feel so unsafe that we only stayed the one night and checked out early.

Probably won’t be returning. Smoke detector was beeping the entire time. Staff was in no hurry to help.

The bed was OK and the room was cleaned as best as it could be but the room’s fixtures, furnishing and kitchenette needed replacing. Bathroom sink had a large hole and crack in it, only 2 of 4 light bulbs worked, no hair dryer, fridge had serious ice build up, bugs in ceiling light fixtures. Just needs a complete redo.

Did not end up staying the night. Found a discarded adult diaper in the front closet. Family did not want to stay.

went to make coffee in the morning coffee pot was dirty coffee left in it it smelled old could not open blind or close it .parts of the blind was broken and dirty.The railing around the patio was rotten wood if you leaned on it could be bad the guy behind the desk was nice.IF they put new blinds and did up the patio cleaned the window i slipped at the bottom of the steps it was muddy and slippery i did not hurt myself but someone could

Staff are friendly, location is great however the room is outdated, smelly and very dusty, It smells smoke and musty. We barely can stay in the room coz of the smell.

I liked that it was very close to lake. Was noisy, felt like I was bothering the staff when I spoke with them.

The location is convenient.

The rooms are very musty and smell of mold and smoke. The strong odours were too strong for our daughter to tolerate. We did not stay and turned our key in within 5min of arriving at the property. Very unclean. Streaks all over the counter tops, stained carpets. The room charge was $242 for one night and no refund option from the hotel. We ate the $240 to save ourselves a stay in unsanitary conditions. Do not waste your time. There are tons of better options.

The other cohabitants were questionable. We were stuck between two large families, all of whom ranged from 8 months old to 24 yr old young people. That took away from the quietness we were looking for.

I picked this place due to the reasonable reviews given on this website. But I am surprised at the high ratings it has received After experiencing this motel. But I will tell you that the biggest problem with this Motel is that they offer long-term rental . I think this attracts transient people. I found that there was small groups of men but I believe a few were drug users. This made me considerably uncomfortable and I decided not to even stay at the motel. I could not imagine if I was a woman staying here. The front desk clerk was friendly and accommodating though so the service was not that bad. The room appeared to be clean I did not trust the mattresses. The management of the motel needs to rethink its long-term rental Arrangements and the clientele it attracts. I would not stay at this Motel ever again until it cleans up its Act.

I am not a smoker and I wasn’t able to sleep well because of the smoke smell, I was sneezing the whole night and got a head ache from that stinky smoky smell.

This property is located by the lake and within walking distance of a lot of restaurants and shops. Unfortunately it is very run down and not as portrayed in the pictures. We arrived late on our 1st night, while the host was friendly, we were presented with 2 keys on rubber bands and told not to lose them. Our room was barely the size of a small bedroom. It had no desk or counter space to put anything. The kitchenette was a small fridge with a microwave on top of it, and a coffee maker on top of that. Overall not what was in the online photos.

It’s an old building, close to Sylvan Lake so called beach, but it’s normal in Alberta to have such obsolete from last century hotels. Go to Canmore, Banff that direction, it’s more like Switzerland…. Too expensive for what it is, Charged at the hotel some 3,10$ tourist tax - ridiculous !!!

Not much. Wifi was good.

No heat. Didn't work. Needs major maintenance, never mind updating. Plugs and switches loose. Bath faucet plunger to turn on shower broken. No face cloth. Only 2 towels. Needed a good cleaning through out.

The rooms could use an upgrade. Carpet especially. Beds were very comfortable and the room was warm. We were concerned as we could see light coming in between the door and the frame. Very reasonable rate.

Not fancy but exactly what you need for a weekend trip. Was clean and the kitchen was well stocked. Very friendly staff. Definitely coming back

Booked a suite on Expedia website when we arrived there were no suites. Property was old needs updating. Taps in bathroom were loose. Kitchenette out of the 60's. Staff were very accommodating

Convenient location

Broken blinds, that were actually kitchen blinds so you have sunlight at 6 am in summer. The AC is extremely old so it’s impossible to sleep with the noise. Everything is way too old. The bathroom lights are connected to the fan and -not surprisingly- it’s so loud that you wake up everyone if you use it at night. Also, if you have to charge something (which you will in 2024) you have to disconnect the microwave or the tv. The mismatched furniture is a bonus.

The air conditioner does not work well

Great place older however one of the best beds I have slept in at a hotel. Staff was kind and helpful, right on main drag so a quick walk and everything is close.

Everything. Was horrible. Was charged a pet fee when we arrived despite no communication that there would be one. Was old and run down. Gross stains in the bathroom. 1960’s kitchenette. Bed squeaked. Was lumpy. Was horrible and terribly overpriced.

A bit old, but it was a great location (walkable to the beach). Good steak house right next door too. Property could use some upgrading forsure but the kitchenette was great.

Average stay

This is a basic motel but was clean and decently comfortable. We didn't need much so it fit the need. I have no major complaints.

It was nice that there was air conditioning in the room however it was very loud! Kept making louder noises throughout the night which made it difficult to sleep but without it was too hot! The exterior looks worse than the interior, makes the place look run down but was decent inside. Perhaps they need a refresh of the outside!

Overall the room was very clean. The staff were friendly and accommodating.

The building and outdoor areas are in disrepair. The bathroom sink and faucets in our unit needed to be replaced as they were rusted and old to the point of dirty looking. There wasn’t a hair dryer or tissues - items we’ve come to expect.
