We thoroughly we enjoyed our stay, right from when we checked in the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Thank you, we look forward to coming back.

However, was a bit mislead by the pictures showing a balcony facing the beach when in fact most of the apartments are side on but still with a small view of the beach/water. The apartment was clean and comfortable but nothing to rave about.
We appreciated the early check in and good communication on this but was a little surprised to be denied a slightly later check out (11am) and to get a knock on the door at 10.03am checking to see when we were leaving. We stayed in the apartment approximately 9 hours so didn't think a 1 hour later check out was too much to ask.

Waterfront cafe closes at 5. Only dinner option was the local bar with just okay food. Not a big deal for 2 nights but any longer stay you’d likely want to venture out for dinner or cook.

The evacuation process was concerning. No one took control or cordoned off the area or gave any information for over 2 hours. With over 9 for and rescue trucks and 3 police cars you would think someone would facilitate the guests and people on the beach . It was very interesting to watch.

Sehr netter und unkomplizierter Empfang. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt! Kleiner Supermarkt direkt im Haus.

Die Einrichtung war eher nüchtern. Die Nachttischlampen waren extrem hoch an der Wand angebracht, was sehr unpraktisch war.

Reviewed Nov 1, 2025Ausstattung, Lage, Komfort - alles top! Zählt zu den Favoriten auf unserer Rundreise. Die Sonnenauf- und untergänge waren traumhaft. Als Ausgangspunkt zum Abel Tasman Nationalpark perfekt.
Eine Kaffeemaschine wäre toll gewesen - die fehlt aber in fast allen Unterkünften in Neuseeland. Der Kaffee vom Store unter dem Apartment war aber top!

Reviewed Sep 7, 2025Modern well designed apartment with views over the beach from the sheltered balcony. Quiet at this time of the year, beach just across the road so easy to access for walking. Handy to the tavern for meals. Staff at reception were very friendly and phoned promptly to advise that we'd left clothing behind.
Not a major, but it would be great to have direct access from the apartment carpark to the apartment stairs, rather than walking around the front of the building.

Reviewed Aug 30, 2025Die Wohnung ist sehr schön gelegen und recht klein, sodass die Räume schnell aufgewärmt werden können. Es ist alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Direkt unter der Wohnung befindet sich ein kleiner Supermarkt, falls man kurzfristig etwas benötigt. Die Aussicht ist sensationell.
