Centrally located

Dated outlook, not very clean

The location was great for us. The rooms were connecting, which was nice as we traveled with kids. Breakfast had quite a lot of variety

Breakfast was varied and generally very good quality. Staff were all extremely friendly, welcoming, and responsive. The location is a busy street in Samarinda--accessible by hired car/Grab, but the area is not very walkable.

The fitness room was small and cramped and had outdated equipment. Some updates would be very welcome.

- Aircon is great - Room is spacious - Bed is amazing - Breakfast could be better

- Room (825) is not soundproof yet i got a lot of noise from 823 due to connecting door - glassware/coffee cup is not clean, a lot of stains remain - No Minifridge - Ice Cube were deliver with a bowl without 'cover' - Sink was clogged and none of the HK staff notice - Room is DND but staff ring the bell

The breakfast buffet had a lot of options which is nice.

I booked for 1 Non smoking Executive room and 1 Non smoking Deluxe room but I was given a Smoking Executive room. They said "Well since you booked using Booking.com we can only give you the available room. And only Smoking Executive room is available." My husband had terrible sinus and congestion because we stayed in a stale smoking room for 4 nights. Not good!

The room, the location, and the bed is very comfortable. the staffs were friendly. my go to hotel when i visit Samarinda.

We don't have breakfast at the hotel, locations local from my family.

The hotel not have a fridge, I'm asking family room ,they give me seperate room from my children.

Hotel design is thoughtful. Room size and interior design were calming and relaxing. Carpet alley combined with beautiful pictures are my favorite, they were delightful. Lighting also adding a warm mood but not too dimmed, it was pleasant! Bathroom is function well; water heater, basin drainage, shower drainage no clog. I am happy. Also AC is all well, no smell coming out, this is important. Bed and pillow are unexpectedly comfy, I slept well everytime. Staff services are provided so well. From concierge, restaurant, house keepers, laundry, room service, also some help/tips on front doors are useful. Plus the free newspapers. Laundry results are excellent. Room service food also good, except on the chicken wings (sorry). Lastly, we got towel origami from the housekeeping, it was heartwarming. Thank you so much!

One night, I was dropped off by good friend with a motorbike. One of the security was not too friendly and rather judgy. He was not welcoming but rather asking where am I going... I am staying here and I am going back to my room, I replied. It was not a pleasant experience. Water station: The water dispenser on my floor (9) was not clean and this issue has been addressed to front office. There was white gooey/jelly hung on the tap. I just realized it after I filled my bottle and had to throw it after. I would suggest since water station can draw germs and viruses, it has be cleaned in better regular basis with maintenance on the pipe. Room cleaniness: Understand that room floor and bathroom floor are grey, but picking up and cleaning on hair can be more thorough and detail. Window glass also can be better every new guest arrived, mine had many wax/fat from nose print/finger print. Bed side table was dusty, this also can easily be improved. Breakfast: Salad bar was so so. Carrots were dry, dressing options were just creamy, there was no one option for lighter version like thai or italian. Coffee was too thick too intense, almost like putting cheap coffee rather than good quality coffee. I was adding 1:5 with water to dillute and achieve near a long black.

comfortable room not too big. many varieties food at breakfast and good food. the hotel facilities quite good and the staff really helpful. all the staff are very courteous and caring, good place to have relaxation and enjoying weekend...

The syatem still manual, you have to provide the booking receipt, while my name already in the system. Check out pretty manual, need their staff to check the room in person. Do not stay in this hotel if you rushing for your airplane.

綺麗でまだ新しい 朝食も美味しかった タオルがなかったのは驚きましたが、ちゃんと持ってきてくれました。忘れてたんでしょう。 近くにコンビニがあり、ホテルの隣に安くて美味しいご飯が食べれるお店がありました。 早朝の大音量のイスラム教のお祈り？も聞こえませんでした。快適でした。

This is by far the best in term of payment. You can book via website or application and pay at the hotel without the need to provide credit card. For other things, it just the usual. The lobby is amazingly spacious though. Seat arrangement is great. The staff are all friendly and helpful. Check in and check out process are quick. No deposit required. The room is great. Spacious, clean, and tidy. No liquid soap, if you're into that. The pool is standard with opening hour up to 9.00 PM. Breakfast is great. Good taste. But the variety need improvement. But, hey, you don't need all to satisfy your hunger in the morning, so, no complaint there. Overall, great experience.

First of all I wanted to thank Mr. Oniel, the receptionist guy whose superfriendly, to served me a quick check in without waiting, in a high floor non smoking doublebed room as I wish. After a long exhausting trip all you need is a quick release in a hot shower and comfy bed. Thank you! It's quite hard to find good hotel in Samarinda. Most of them are old bnb, and the others are way too costly for its class. Lucky me to finally found Midtown Hotel and really satisfied with it. Location is great, right in the heart of Samarinda, the enter point is easy to access. Get hungry? Foodcourts are around.. pick as you wish. There's also affordable spa next to the building if you think hotel spa is too fancy. Cleanliness seems to be their motto, the corridor and the room are fragrant, no dust or stain. Breakfast also delicious, wide variation, and they provide Samarinda signature dish like Nasi Kuning with Haruan Bumbu Habang, and Gangan Patin. Their table service is a four stars standard. I've never been served like that in another three stars hotel. Will come again no doubt on my next visit.

Midtown Hotel Samarinda is startegicly located in centre town in Samarinda, i love also the hospitality of the staffs and couldnt forget for our breakfast coz super delicious and they bring several atmosphere in the restaurant wheter its homey but elegant way

3 stars hotel that provides luxurious services in room and restaurant. the room was clean, bathroom was also clean and well maintained. The breakfast menu gives many alternative foods and i was really enjoy the traditional drinks jamu (beras kencur especially), traditional snacks, and many kind of breads. the hotel is located near the government office of Kalimantan Timur province. It tooks only 10-15 minutes to reach them. Hotel was also surrounded by many restaurants and many famous hangout places. The fitness is also nice and provides many kind of tools. I enjoyed well the treadmill and static bike. Swimming pool is also a good choice to keep healthy during stay at the hotel Midtown hotel is absolutely a bargain choice hotel in Samarinda.

The restaurant serves various menu. One in the picture below is one of my favourite menu from the restaurant. Fish with chilli. It tastes soft on my mouth. Enough garlic and not too spicy, Guest room is clean and comfortable.

Stayed there for four nights for business trip in May 2018. Room was clean and quite spacious. Staffs were friendly and helpful. Breakfast has quite various choices. Next to minimarket and ATM too... Perfect for my trip. They also has small swimming pool and gym (for your information).

+ (Pros) 1.New hotel in samarinda (est 2016) 2.Cozy roon with a simple design 3.Various breakfast menu 4.Close to fastfood restaurant (KFC,richcheese factory) - 1.This is my 7th times here, I never get a kingsize bedroom, always a twin bed. for information : 35 kingsize bed, and 70 twin bed. If you want to get a kingsize, you must booking in advanced. 2.Minim equipment of fitness center. 3.Small swimming pool. My suggestion to the hotel management - replan the proportion between kingsize bedroom and twin bedroom

I was traveling on business and this fits the bill. Nice sized room, good little restaurant downstairs, nice lobby and even better it's all non-smoking. Staff were great and the location not too bad. Will be back.

We stayed there for stay cation to escape while long weekend. Reserve 2 rooms ; 1 deluxe room with 1 (one) extra bed & 1 superior room for 2 nights. We’ve got deluxe room in the corner so it’s very large, we don't have to squeeze inside the room even with 1 extra bed. Service was excellent, from the moment we arrived in the hotel..welcoming and greeting in receptionist, bell boy and housekeeping so efficient and also the chef who was checked the breakfast set up and display for the 2nd day. It was well spent long weekend for us. Location was strategic and not far away to find any restaurant to eat at night. I will come back again to this hotel if I have to stay overnight in this city.

Got my room on time and like what i requested before. I can see the sun goes down from my room. The room was clean enough. But the breakfast, you guys need more variant food, especially for the bakeries. Not far from the town, and my favorite junk food right in front of the hotel.

Good location in the city center. Check in and check out smooth and quick. Staff helpful with good service. Room clean, big and comfortable. Food also good. They need more space for the carpark. But overall i have a good stay in Midtown Hotel. Sure will comeback if i visit Samarinda.

A very good welcome from the staff and front office. Very clean. Modern. Very good breakfast. No smoking room. Good quality material inside the room. Everything is good. Equipped with good gym and pool. Very recomended.

The hotel is new and looks bright and the building is modern and the room is not big but feel comfort,the swimming pool is small,the location near the Lembuswana mall and outlet of KFC,Pizza Hut,indomaret etc.

When we get inside the lobby, the interior is nice with modern looks 😍 Even when we ordered non smoking room but its full when we arrived there, the staff nicely accompany us to choose which smoking room with better condition. We prior non smokinh room because we went there with children. So we chose smoking room which the less smell. When we get inside the room, the interior also nice. Our family really enjoy it. 👌👌👌

New hotel , room is good and nice interior, i took 2 night of their suite room. Breakfast is average, room boy service is good, staff also ok. Location in mid town and not so far to going every where. In front of this hotel have KFC and also Mini Mart. Spa is beside of this hotel ^_^
