El personal és encantador. Ens va ajudar a trobar la terminal adequada per anar a Balikpapan. La nit que vam arribar hi havia música en directe i la cantant era molt bona. La zona de bar, amb sofàs, era molt agradable. Les habitacions estan netes i són comfortables i els llits són còmodes.

The air fresheners in the building are terrible, also the smoking in the lobby. There were a few power outages.

Service and hospitality were outstanding. Welcome greating feels me like come back to my home sweet home. The best hospitality in Samarinda City I ever have in Samarinda City. The are to improve is restaturant, food quality and temperature is below expectation.

The hotel is luxurious. They have meeting hall on the top floor. Nice cafe is located at lobby, opens until 1 am. We can enjoy live music and live sport matches here. Amelia is one of the friendly staff here, but I didn't see her at my last 2 visits. The 12th floor is equipped with pool, sauna, fitness center, and spa. I'd like to mention some very good employees: Bella Annisa, Syahrida Agustina, and Putra Aditya. Breakfast is awesome.

Breakfast was Indonesian. No western bread (only dry cheap Indonesian bread). For the cheap dry Indonesian bread was no good quality cheese available (only cheap cheddar cheese). No good quality meat available for the cheap dry Indonesian bread. For Indonesian and Asian guests the breakfast might be great but European guests don't eat rice, potatoes and noodles for breakfast. Doesn't this hotel have European guests? The photo on booking.com shows a bathtub but we got a room with a shower. WhatsApp messages were not answered on time and nobody picked up the phone. We received an offer via WhatsApp after more than 12 hours of Rp 1.5 million for two nights including breakfast. Because we didn't receive a message on time we booked the room via booking.com and paid about Rp 1.520 EXCLUDING breakfast for two nights. Booking.com mentions a breakfast rate of Rp. 127.000. We booked a room for two persons, the breakfast rate doesn't mention that Rp. 127.000 is per person. Hence, we had to pay 4 x Rp. 127.000 = Rp. 508.000 EXTRA just because people are unwilling to answer WhatsApp messages and pick up the phone. We complained about this. The stupid standard answer was: "Maaf mister". :-(

The breakfast is great. The staff is friendly and communicative. The room is clean and comfortable. The wifi is good. The hotel is connected to the mall. It's overall strategic.

The rooms badly need renovation and the air conditioning system needs renewal. Almost no sound-proofing whatsoever Smoking areas must be properly separated - indoor smooking is a no-go without separating walls.

have stayed a few times, always a good stay .only downside this time was I had interior room, no windows...like a dungeon except for that as usual the hotel never disappoints. staff wonderful, friendly and polite, breakfast 100% perfect...lobby bar area very nice and comfortable...

One of Best Hotel in town, It needs a lot of improvements in its facilities if it wants to compete with other hotel. But over all its okay. Good service, Various foods and beverages on Breakfast time, easy acess to Shopping Center and strategic location

Pros: 1. Room is larger than usual. 2. Clean and neat. 3. Strategic location. Near (or integrated) Samarinda Central Plaza mall. 4. Spacious parking since sharing with SCP mall. 5. Large pool. 6. Delicious and various breakfast menu with affordable price.

Cons: 1. Since shared parking with mall, sometimes you need more time to find parking slot. 2. There is baththub in the bathroom. Personally i dont like it since consuming much water.

Stayed here for 1 night. Got a junior suite room, but the room is not good at all. AC is not working, the wifi in the room is unstable and disconnected very often. The breakfast was so so, although it had plenty of choice. The hotel was located adjacent to the SCP shopping mall. I think this is the only plus point from this hotel

the room was perfect.. clean comfortable and even hot water worked perfect…many hotels have no hot water but this was great . the restaurant for Breakfast was beyond perfect. Great great selection ! they even poured my tea and brought more when i was out. the dinner menu was extensive and food was excellent ! Service and friendliness of restaurant staff as well as ALL STAFF was EXCELLENT.

Well the Room’s pretty great and large at hand, but the hospitality? Man I am on the top notch room and there are no even offers for just a damn spa or massage, let alone an executive lounge to get wasted in. But hey, Hotel’s a Hotel

In general, staying at this hotel is fine and good for value too. B-fast set was great. Only one condition needs to improve, message to hotel manager, they need to improve wifi connection speed. As known, Samarinda network is bad, I am using Telkomsel. O have been years traveling to East Kalimantan, don't why Samarinda has bad 4G connection till today if I compare with Balikpapan. I would say, I was depending on wifi hotel to get access to the internet. An unstable wifi connection was another inconvenience condition for my stay.

This hotel is a bit old and need renovation. Breakfast is not variety but the service is quite good for check in. I don’t like the beds because it is not good anymore.

As long as I stay at the hotel for 1 days only for business purpose, the room quiet clean and quiet comfortable. Please keep it clean because I see it's quiet a old building already.

Decent hotel but the service can use a lot of improvement. Also while the room price is reasonable - expect to pay a lot of money on food, minibar, laundry, etc. Final note: there is no dryer and washer even though the hotel description claims to have it.

Samarinda is a medium sized city by Indonesian standards. The hotel is one of two business centers. The rooms are below average for what we paid on Hotel.Com. Suggest they lower the price by $20. We traveled to the museum at Tenngarong (18 km away) which is well worth seeing for Indonesian culture.

The Aston is good hotel and conveniently located in the heart of Samarinda. Condition and service is good, but the internet is very poor in room and even the public internet is quite slow.

At this price this hotel is very nice. Location and condition of the hotel are fine, equipped with all traveler's needs including wifi. Recommended for visitors to Samarinda. Will stay again surely.
