Das traditionelle Erlebnis, die 2 eigenen Onsen, einer innen einer außen, im eigenen Häuschen. Das Kaiseki Menü war von sehr hoher Qualität. Allerdings muß man Fisch mögen, um es genießen zu können.

Very friendly staff, really tried to communicate with us in English and were extremely helpful. They drove us to the station and were able to accomodate for our dietary restrictions for the dinner. The dinner was AMAZING and the private room in which is served had a lovely view of the town. I had planned to propose to my partner during dinner and they helped me with planning for this and made it very special even at very short notice. The room was very very spacious and very traditional, near a waterfall and it felt like we had our own little private corner of the forest. The private onsen was lovely and very relaxing and set in the middle of the nature, it comfortably fit two people. The Samue they provided was so comfortable too!

The bath salt provided was almost empty and I wished it was refilled (although I didn’t ask and am sure they would’ve refilled if I had). I wished the vending machine sold water.

大浴場の、シャワーがどれも使えず残念でした。また、 お部屋の傾きが気になりました、

入り口からとても雰囲気がステキで、1組ずつ宿泊棟が分かれていて、お部屋に温泉もついているところがステキでした。お庭もキレイでしたし、宿泊棟に源氏物語にちなんだ名前がついていて雅です。

泊まった時の日程のせいか、スタッフさんが少なかったのでフロントに電話してもなかなか繋がらなかったり、チェックアウトでタイミングが悪かったのかスタッフさんがフロントにいなくて15分ほど待つことがありました。人手不足なのかなぁと心配になりました。 あと、良かったら細かなところですがドライヤーを置くトレイは革製の良いものだと思いますが、カビが生えていたので、プラスチックでいいので交換されることをおすすめします。

Yu was really excellent and helped us understand how to fully enjoy the Ryokan for the night. The meal was incredible, and the hotel drove us to the train station in the morning which was really appreciated.

素食溫泉旅館結果預約家庭房有一間水出來是冷水，另一則溫泉水這台套還是差點燙傷！地理位置也不好出去並沒有可以吃飯的地方。

対応、清潔さ、環境、朝食　最高でした スタッフ皆さんの対応がとても気持ちがこもっていて本当に良かったです。

シャワーの量が残念でした。水圧は仕方ないかもですが シャワーヘッドから出る水量があまりにも少なかったです ただスタッフや、他が良すぎたので問題なしです。 シャワーがそのままでもまた行きたいです

L’accueil et le service magnifique d’un ryokan. Le repas du soir était tres bon tres copieux et tenait bien compte des remarques sur les gouts faites a la reservation. Le bain en plein air privé etait tres agreables. Celui public etait aussi joli mais l’eau y etait vraiment chaude (mais aux normes locales)

First of all the place is beautiful. The plants, lawns, roads and overall the whole compound is kept very well and just magical to walk around. The hot spring is just incredible to look at as well and feels like bathing in the jungle. The staff were very nice and kind. One staff member (maybe he is the owner) offered to shuttle us to the train station after check-out, which made that day a lot easier.

The location is beautiful, but it's a bit tricky. There aren't any restaurants or convenience stores nearby and it's pretty far from everywhere in Beppu. So unless you intend to eat all your meals at the ryokan, I think the location isn't as good as mentioned. I would suggest renting a vehicle if you want to stay here and still move around the city. The water pressure in the showers was too weak and hot water may take up to a few minutes to start flowing. Maybe it's because of the height, but still, this was the least pleasurable shower I had while traveling for a month in Japan. The public hot spring (though it was incredible visually) was too hot. On the first day it was very hot, but tolerable enough that it was still a good experience. On the second day it was hot enough to give me burns.

Every accommodation was an individual small building of several traditional tatami rooms, some with their own indoor and outdoor onsen baths. The reservable family bath and the traditional public men’s and women’s onsen were amazingly beautiful. And the amazing dinner and breakfast meals were the best we’ve ever had— no exaggeration.

주택가 구석 산밑에 있음

투숙객이 너무 없어서 오히려 무서울 지경이었고 객실에 15cm 넘어보이는 지네가 나타났는데 숙소 직원과 연락이 닿질 않았어요 자정에 가까운 시각이었는데, 밤에는 숙소에 직원이 한명도 없다는걸 사전에 알려주지 않았음. 다음날 얘기하니 미안하다고 하기만... 노천탕이 딸린 객실이었는데 탕 청소가 전혀 되어있지않아서 이끼며 먼지가 그대로.... 밤에 모르고 들어갔었는데 아침에 보고 토할뻔. 가격도 비싸서 더 속상하고.... 심약하신 분들 지네 사진보고 기절하실까봐 사진은 안올립니다

Fabulous location, fabulous food.

Exceptional, spacious rooms, private onsen. Very nice area of the hotel beautifully set into the nature - we even encountered some monkeys on the porch.

The backdrop and grounds were gorgeous, overlooking a damn and river flowing down the mountain. Very zen

The buildings were tired and needed maintenance, doesn't look like they've been updated in 30+ years. Old TVs, damp and mould in the bathrooms, uncomfortable beds. Definitely not what you'd expect given the price of the room. Unfortunately the dinner and breakfast weren't included in our booking which was the main reason we'd booked a Ryokan in the first place. We tried to add these on the day as we arrived early but they simply said it's not possible. Not great customer service, they seem to be understaffed. Be careful when selecting your booking options

Five star experience with a wonderful private (time slot bookable) outdoor onsen.

A truly beautiful and memorable ryokan experience in Beppu. The property is surrounded by greenery and has a peaceful, elegant atmosphere. Everything felt special: the room was beautiful, the private onsen was absolutely wonderful, and the onsen facilities available for guests were also excellent. The whole place is truly charming, relaxing, and simply amazing. The food was also very pleasant and enjoyable, prepared with care and served in a way that made the experience even more special. We also really appreciated the kindness and availability of the staff, who were always willing to help and find solutions whenever needed. A splendid stay, highly recommended.

The only suggestion we would kindly give to the property for the future would be to make the dinner and breakfast service feel a little less rushed. At times, we had the impression that the staff wanted to finish the service as quickly as possible, even when guests arrived perfectly on time. Compared with other ryokan experiences we had during our trip, this aspect felt noticeably more hurried and slightly less attentive. We believe this is something that could be improved, especially because the rest of the experience was truly beautiful and memorable. Overall, however, we had a wonderful stay and we are very grateful for the hospitality.

Experience to stay in a Ryoken house. Assistance with the baggage on a rainy day as the roads were steep to go up and check in. Had dinner and hope you can upgrade the food better.

The open and private hot spring can be upgraded and needs cleaning badly. The showers head are dirty. During a rainy day we didnt know what we could do inside and just laid in bed. Perhaps you can have some activities.

Die Gastfreundlichkeit und der Service (inkl. Abholung vom Bahnhof) waren echt herausragend. Schöne Anlage mit tollen Onsen. Abendessen war ein Erlebnis und sollte man unbedingt dazubuchen.

スタッフの方はとてもあたたかく、幸せな出会いをいただきました。Welcomeドリンクに抹茶をたてていただける。ロケーションも最高。部屋着の甚平、鮃のお刺身を含むお料理の美味しさ、各部屋がはなれなので落ち着いて過ごせて、お部屋についている露天風呂でゆっくりお湯を楽しめて、それとは別に貸し切り風呂や金の湯もあり最高でした。次の日にラクテンチへ遊びに行きましたが、ゴンドラや入場の無料券をくださって、その後駅まで送っていただきました。皆さんにこの幸せを味わっていただきたいです。

フロントに人が居ない　大浴場も貸切風呂も床も浴槽もヌルヌル 汚く古ぼけた蛇口をひねっても　いつまでたってもお湯が出てこない　鏡も湯垢でぜんぜん見えなくて髭も剃れないし　シャンプーなどの洗剤のボトルも汚くて触る気にもならない　玄関の自動ドアもガタガタデカい音で五月蝿い　冷蔵庫のペットボトルの水もカチカチに凍っていた　食事は朝食のみだったが思った通りお粗末さ　あまりもあきれて怒る気にもならなくなった　あの高い宿泊費を返金してほしいレベル　2度と行くことはない

We did not get dinner, apparently we had to request it upfront but we never saw it mentioned, so a bit dissapointed on that front

We stayed in the (26)kiritsubo room Very spacious room, private indoor and outdoor bath. Fit 3 people comfortably. The staff were friendly and the private family onsen that you can reserve was clean and beautiful For our dinner we had a thoughtfully arranged 9 course meal. I got to try Fugu for the first time which was exciting. 4 of the course were fugu(Parboiled Pufferfish Skin, Pufferfish Sashimi, Deep fried Puffer Fish, Puffer Fish Hotpot). There was so much food i almost couldn't finish it all.

The private onsen that was attached to our room was a bit dirty. There was dried bird droppings on the rim of the bath.

The staff was accommodating. Tattoos was allowed in the onsen, you can ask front desk to pick you up and drop you off from Beppu Station. Our room came with a indoor onsen and tea room which we enjoyed. Additionally, you can purchase breakfast and dinner with them so if you prefer staying in then add it to your stay.

The nearest bus station is 21 minutes away and closest convenience store is 14 minutes away. Though we did not know the front desk can assist us with a ride the first day

Room was clean, beautiful and private onsen excellent! Dinner and breakfast were just marvelous! Staff was really helpful and nice! Thank you so much, we had superior experience in Beppu Showaen Ryokan!

温泉が源泉掛け流しで、料理が美味しかったです。離れの部屋には温泉がついていて湯の花も出てきます。 スタッフの方でとても親切によく気を回していただけるか方がいらして、楽しく、助かりました。駅まで送っていただきました。 近くの遊園地ラクテンチに行き、温泉も無料でレトロな雰囲気の中歴史展示をみたり、ゴーカートやジェットコースターを楽しみました。95年も運営されているそうです。

The traditional Japanese ryokan experience and the staff were really nice. The hotspring was amazing

Shower is also traditional. Very weak hot water stream, and it took at least 10 minutes of running them for them to get hot. Because of the weak stream i had to shower the traditional way, filling a small bucket and pouring it upon myself, and while it was an experience on its own, i would have preferred to have a regular shower.

온천의 청결도가 매우 좋지 않고 온천의 온도가 일정하지 않고 차갑가나 매우뜨거웠고 사워의 물 수압이 너무 낮아서 그리고 차거운 물이 나와서 사워를 할 수 없었음.

Le personnel fait tout son possible pour que votre séjour se passe au mieux. Nous avons pris une nuit dans une chambre premium de style japonais, autant dire toute une maisonnette rien que pour nous. A notre arrivée nous avons pu choisir un créneau pour accéder aux bains privés (la photo avec les bains rectangulaires). Le reste du temps les bains publics sont disponibles à souhait même au beau milieu de la nuit. Le repas fut divin, on a eu le plaisir d'avoir une petite pièce pour nous deux et il a bien duré deux heures le temps de tout déguster. Nous avons pris l'option avec le petit déjeuner qui était du même niveau.

Mon seul regret n'est pas d'avoir prolongé le séjour à plus d'une nuit.

주변에 편의시설이 전혀 없어요. 야외온천은 좋았지만 샤워 물줄기가 약하고 물온도가 자주 바뀌어서 불편했어요. 여러번 온천을 하고 싶었지만 샤워장 불편으로 한 번밖에 못해서 아쉬워요.

Beautiful property, looks just like the pictures! I went here with friends and this is easily one of my favorite experiences in Japan. It is a beautiful oasis tucked away in a corner. I just wish we had stayed here longer & wish we had ordered the dinner package. Will definitely be recommending this to family & friends!

I was under the impression that each room had its own onsen. However, reserving the onsen was quick & easy. Will definitely be coming again if I’m ever in Japan again.

The staff is very kind and attentive. The place is incredible, everything was super pretty and it was a must have experience for us.

My wife didn't enjoy the food that much since she's not that into fish.

The premises is Classical Japanese and beautiful. And the food! Every single dish was prepared with culinary sophistication. We stayed 3 nights and the variety provided was spot on.

The public onsen was underwhelming. At this price point, it was disappointing that there wasn’t a cold bath, no sauna, no variety in indoor bath. Just one small bath.

よくなかったというほどではないけど トイレのウォシュレットが止まらなかったw 止まった直後に出るので笑ってしまいました。

Die Gestaltung des Geländes mit dem Wasserfall rund um die geräumigen Häuschen ist schön.

Preis-Leistung insgesamt sehr schlecht. Das Essen war nicht gut verglichen mit anderen Ryokan. Der private Onsen war an sich ok aber nebenan brummte ein Generator derart laut, dass ich mich nicht entspannen konnte. Das gratis Wasser im Zimmer war gefroren. Wasserdruck und Warmwasser lässt zu wünschen übrig. Der Rezeptionist (der auch Shuttle Fahrer war und Betten vorbereitet hat) war sehr freundlich. Das restliche Personal war insgesamt sehr unterbesetzt und nicht gerade freundlich.

スタッフの対応が良かった。古い旅館なんだろうけど部屋やレストランはとてもキレイでした。夕食は河豚づくしで美味しかったです。朝食もおなかいっぱいになりました。今回、和室にこだわりここの宿に決めましたが庭に池があって鯉が泳いでいたり、川の水が流れる音など日本の宿って感じでとても良かったです。

シャワーの水圧が内風呂、露天風呂共にかなり低いです...。温泉は湧き出てるのはかなり熱いお湯が出てますが溜まっている方は若干冷めているので今の時期3月だったのでギリちょうどな感じでしたが真冬だとぬるいのかなと思います。逆に夏だと熱すぎるのかると思いました。ただ露天風呂ほんとによかったです。
