Visited previously and was met with the same warm welcome and service. Food was good as always and we will be back when next in the area.

Some of the service wasn't great and the room was a little run down. Food not great in the restaurant and then some of the breakfast choices were a £5 supplement, like eggs and avocado on toast but a full english was included?

The breakfast was very good and set up for the day. The location was great close enough to Newcastle airport but far enough not to be impacted by other travellers

The room was great but front facing and with the weather we had the window open fortunately the road is quiet so not to much road noise overnight

We were dismayed by the noise from the wedding, our room was directly over the area where the guests were. Sleep was tricky. The other thing was the request for a “good behaviour” deposit of £50, which seemed to be something of a slur on the quality of your guests. However overall we enjoyed our stay, the food was particularly good and the staff, particularly the girl from Cuba delightful.

Sehr hübsches Hotel

It is very quaint and the rooms are stylish and unique. My daughter got married and the chapel and venue are fabulous. The staff are amazing and can’t help enough. The food is lovely and the breakfast was delicious! The wedding package provided for her was not only unique but also fabulous on every level!

The rooms were extremely hot and this was a problem for the wedding party when getting hair and make up done. The heat and humidity made everyone’s hair flop and make up run. I realise the hotel wish to keep the uniqueness of the decor but I would strongly advise getting some air conditioning. Sleeping was also a problem because of the room being too hot.

What a beautiful find, absolutely loved the garden thankfully no wedding on when we arrived so able to enjoy browsing around the garden and wild meadow , had a wonderful chat with head gardener Jill who was very knowledgeable about all the plants. The staff happy to put patio fire on for my husband and I even though it was just the two of us. This would be a perfect place for a small wedding venue the little chapel was exceptional or even if not getting married another special occasion. We stayed in a small petit bedroom which was more than adequate and very nicely decorated, would like to sample other bedrooms though.. so will return.. It was a bonus no special occasion happening as we would not have been able to enjoy the garden and meadow walk or relax sitting on the patio which would have been a shame as for us that is what makes Le Petit Chateau a pleasure to stay.

If had to be picky a more comfortable chair in bedroom to relax on rather than have to sit on bed or dressing table chair. On hotel website says Otterburn Mill a place to visit but when we went it had been closed down since 2025.

Het is echt een prachtig hotel. Ontzettend stijlvol. Prachtige kamer en heerlijk badkamer.

Er is verder niets in de omgeving. En het is het heel erg gericht op de bruiloften denk ik. Er was s'avonds weinig te beleven en geen contact met andere gasten bv.

We came for a wedding and stayed the night. A superb wedding venue, lovely rooms and gardens. Unlike some other specialised wedding venues Le Petit Chateau is also a nice hotel. Lovely room with interesting furniture and a great waterfall shower!

Not a criticism but Otterburn is a tiny village a long way from anywhere, don't come here expecting anything other and you will have a lovely stay.

Really friendly staff! The hotel was lovely and the rooms were lush! The village was nice too and the locals were friendly. The food in the pub was really nice!

Food was expensive for the quality Tv position in room was poor Sharp metal studs on bathroom door , cut arm in two places , causing bleeding I was given reduction on bill and was satisfied

The property, room and staff were perfect. Garden and seating with fire pits is a very nice location to have a drink. Perfect stay for couples.

Slightly disappointed with food. Camembert served without enough focaccia - was charged extra £5 to be given enough bread to finish the cheese. Breakfast disappointing - paid extra £5 for bacon eggs benedict. One very small muffin, served with two teaspoons of hollandaise and two small slice of bacon. Staff very accommodating in getting more sauce. Could've done with one more staff member on bank holiday breakfast service - the two that were on were fantastic but very stretched, didn't get a second to breath.

lack of choice on the menu . few dishes unavailable after finally making choices before ordering(eg no Ragu as stated for my wife and was not told this before ordering) ,No catch if the day available at all , chose 2 starters instead,prawns described as shell - on and we're actually head-on (not what we expected)seriously overpriced for what you get and we travel and dine out regularly .The lady who struggled to speak English on bar served my wife a pint of cider twice when we requested halves,don't know if this is a form of upsell . place is very rough round the edges ,lack of TLC we think.

We had a lovely night away, the room was fantastic, bed very comfortable, and we loved the décor. The breakfast in the morning was very good and set us up for the day. We would highly recommend a stay there.

The dining area in the evening was a bit chilly, could have done with the open fire burning.

It was a beautiful hotel it was quiet and the receptionist was very welcoming. The room was beautiful and with views of the garden. Food was amazing! We dined on the evening and breakfast in the morning which was a nice selection. The staff were quick at getting us coffee and our food ordered. The menu we viewed online was different to what we had in the restaurant though.

We did find hair pins clearly from a wedding party on the floor of the bedroom and bathroom. A contact lense stuck to our duvet cover and the lights were very finicky. When dining for our meal I feel the waitress serving her customer service was a little lacking unfortunately.

It had a charm that made it difficult not to like and the location was very beautiful

Sadly our room was definitely the coldest place I’ve ever stayed. Having had surgery a few weeks before it was really uncomfortable being so cold. Kinda spoiled what otherwise was a lovely place

The staff were absolutely amazing!!! So attentive. We have a lot of food allergies and they were fantastic with catering to us too.

Food was a let down except the breakfast which was great. We had such high expectations and unfortunately it fell short when it came to the restaurant.

Room was exactly as expected, warm (despite minus temps), nice decor and bed very comfortable. Reception was friendly and welcoming.

We stayed for 1 night and were fortunate there was no wedding on that night as even other guests returning to their rooms was extremely noisy (after 11pm) so sound proofing seems minimal. We loved that breakfast was both a mix of continental buffet and order hot food from the menu, however the portion side of the vegan breakfast was very small (1 of each item) so that could be improved. None of this would stop us staying again or recommending to friends!

Cute cozy room, perfect for a date night

This hotel is super dog friendly and there are lots of lovely walks close by. There was even a dog menu in the restaurant/ bar. The lodge spaces are great to relax on an evening. It’s decorated really nicely, warm and cosy feel but stylish. The bedroom was comfortable and included some lovely extra touches like chocolate and fresh coffee. I loved the under floor heating in the bathroom. It’s in the centre of the village and really easy to find.

We enjoyed the evening meal and breakfast but it could have been a slightly better standard.

The gardens with the fire pits were a nice touch. The room was nice, but a little tired looking overall. Very dog friendly!

Room was cold until about 7pm when the heating kicked in. The pub wasn't great for food, out of date menu online and lots of items unavailable. Given the location and dietary requirements, this made finding food difficult, when I booked expecting to eat at the hotel due to the online menu and expected food availability.

It is indeed very quirky and a fairytale location for a wedding , certainly gives the wow factor for a wedding

First room cold heating not working well and the coldest day of the year , moved to another room which was warm , bed however too low and not comfortable for our likes, chipped class which I only realised when having a drink and cut my lip

The property was lovely, great location very peaceful until you go to bed! Our room was room 4 right above the lounge where there was a group of people that shouted until midnight and it felt like they were in the wardrobe of our room! Food was lovely but expensive! Staff were very friendly, the hotel was super clean.

We had a bad room location, lots of items were missing from the menu and it was very expensive for what it was. £8 for a mocktail which was tonic water with a wedge of lime! Still wounded on that one!

The pillows were either too hard or too flat. The mattress was very hard and the bed was small. We're quite tall so wasn't ideal.
