No breakfast plan,i took my own.A lovely 'apt' in a fairly central location,nice setting close to canals,train station,various landmarks.The apartment was very homely,had a comfy bed,a tv and a kettle,plus so much more.What was not to like?

Location was perfect - short walk to all the places of interest. Hosts were extremely helpful and made us very welcome. The apartment was lovely - very clean, well organised with everything we needed. Helped us with information for a medical emergency. Would definitely stay there again when next in Amsterdam.

Excellent location, the train station was 10 mins walk away and we walked to most tourist attractions. Good restaurants, cafes and small grocery shop were no more 10 mins away. It was an interesting location being right on a canal.it The apartment was ideal for our 4 night stay and had everything we needed. Everything was clean and tidy and we found it peaceful at night. We were able to have our bags stored for the day once we checked out which was great. We would stay again if in Amsterdam.

El apartamento está genial ubicado, en el centro, la cocina tiene todo lo necesario: tostadora, cafetera con cápsulas, y menaje de sobra para 2 personas, sal, aceite de oliva, pimienta... En el baño hay champú, gel (de rituals) y secador. Si volvemos a Amsterdam volveremos a este apartamento. Pudimos entrar un poco antes de la hora de check in y pudimos dejar las maletas hasta la hora de nuestro avión.

Such a great central location for exploring the city. Veronika was a great host. The accomodation was clean, comfortable and very well equipped for our self-catering break. The cats who live there are a fantastic bonus! Fluffy and affectionate and altogether loveable!

The stairs would be a bit of an issue for anybody with any mobility issues, but they're a great alternative to a gym membership!

Well appointed apartment in a beautiful neighborhood along a canal near Amsterdam Central Station. Easily walkable location and less than 10 minute walk to the train station. The owner was very helpful with train navigation and suggestions for things we were looking to do. We found the accomodations above our expectations.

We spent 4 nights in Amsterdam. The accommodation is ~600 m from the city center. It was perfect for sightseeing. We could reach everything on foot. Communication with the accommodation was very easy. It was very nice and helpful. I can recommend it.

Maybe it's just that there could be more closets suitable for packing.

It was a great place to have some downtime in between my travels, having a kitchen was a great way to have some home cooked meals and save some money.

La posizione vicina alla Central Station, 7-8 minuti a piedi, pulizia molto buona, attrezzatura cucina completa di bollitore e macchina del caffè con cialde a disposizione. Materasso morbido completo di pratici piumoni, ottimi maxi guanciali in piuma.

Qualche difficoltà all'arrivo perchè l'appartamento non è segnalato all'esterno con nessuna targa. Il ns. appartamento era in un seminterrato ben tenuto ed esente da umidità e strani odori, ma purtroppo non permetteva nessuna vista all'esterno se non il marciapiede antistante, e con privacy un po' limitata. Il letto è un matrimoniale alla francese (largo 150 cm invece dei 160 promessi) e in più appoggiato da un lato alla parete il che non ci ha dato il comfort che ci aspettavamo. In bagno mancavano le solite facilities e la doccia aveva la tenda (tra l'altro montata male) che ovviamente si appiccicava alla schiena.

Our host, Tobias was very welcoming and informative about the property and things to see and do in the area. The location was fabulous, so easy to walk to the train station for all forms of transport; close to the centre of the city but slightly out of it so not noisy; opposite canals and canal boats; plenty of restaurants and supermarkets etc nearby. The apartment was at the very top of the building with fabulous views, and was beautifully presented in its simplicity. Loads of lovely light. Lots of stairs to get to the eyrie, but well worth the effort. We highly recommend it and we hope to return soon.

Location was great and really central. The hosts were kind, the place was clean and comfortable. The shower worked well.

For the amount, we would have appreciated better towels and a bit of tea or coffee in the kitchen. If you're a light sleeper, be aware that a couple of the roof windows don't have blinds/curtains, so the morning light will come in.

There apt is cozy and accessible to transport and china town is less than 10 min walk away. Full cooking facilities and utensils. Though it is for 2pp but the sofa is comfortable for a 3rd pp Tobias is very nice and give good advise. Always reachable and responsive!

Perhaps put a shower stopper to prevent hair stuck in the water hole or slow down water flowing out.

Gute Lage am Kalkmarkt in der Altstadt Amsterdams. Freundliche Vermiteter. Die kleine Wohnung bietet von der Funktionalität her alles, was man braucht.

Das Bad ist okay, dürfte bei dem Übernachtungspreis aber gerne mal wieder saniert werden. Die Lichtführung ist nicht gut. Kein helles Licht über der Küchenzeile. Ein Schalter steuert alle Deckenleuchten. Wenn im Wohnbereich das Licht brennt, brennt es auch im Schlafbereich. Da kann sich ein guter Elektriker bewähren.

Nous avons été très bien accueilli par Peter, ainsi que les 5 magnifiques chats qu’ils possèdent. L’emplacement du logement est tellement bien situé qu’on a visité une bonne partie d’Amsterdam à pied. La gare Centraal station, le musée de la marine néerlandaise, le musée des sciences, le musée Rembrandt sont à 10 minutes. L’arrêt de bus de la ligne 391 qui va à Zaanse Schans est à 2 min pour la visite des moulins à vent. L’appartement est au 4ème étage d’une belle maison typique d’Amsterdam, qui offre une belle vue sur le canal, très confortable et cosy avec un équipement complet. Nos hôtes restent vraiment disponibles en cas de besoin.

The apartment is in a great location, perfect for getting around all the canals and central area, train station is literally a six minute walk. Can’t really go wrong. Tobias was a great host who went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect.

Cèntric, tranquil i ben comunicat. Rebuda molt agradable i cordial, amb disponibilitat i predisposició del arrendador per solucionar i ajudar en tot. Cuina petita pero molt ben equipada amb tot el necessari. Net i molt ben endreçat.

- La cortina del bany es una solució del arrendador a una porta de mampara que es debia trencar i que ha quedat sense reposar i no hi ha espai per dutxat-se sense que se t’estigui enganxant la cortina tota la estona. Molest i incòmode. - Addicionalment les juntes de les rajoles estan negres de fongs i dona molt mala impressió. - El armari impedeix accedir facilment i anar al lavabo a la persona que ha de dormir al racó de la paret. - Si et molesta la llum per poder dormir, la cortina que tanca i separa de la entrada, es insuficient.

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt. Die obere Wohnung bietet alles was man braucht, die Atmosphäre ist sehr angenehm und die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Lage ist ebenfalls sehr angenehm, man kommt zu Fuß und mit den Öffentlichen schnell überall hin, um die Stadt zu erkunden. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder, vielen Dank!

The studio is just perfect for two people. Less than 15 minutes by walk from Centraal Station. We found it very confortable, warm, clean and cozy. Tobias was in the main apartment when we arrived (at around 11am), gave us the keys and let us leave the backpacks with him although the studio wasn't ready. We met a couple hours later so he could show us the studio and explain how everything worked. He is super nice, and you can tell from the start that he cares and pays attention to every detail.

Nothing, everything was great and I wouldn't change a thing.

Os anfitriões foram 5 estrelas, super prestáveis tanto pessoalmente como por mensagem. Logo à entrada fomos recebidos por 7 gatos absolutamente lindos (com os quais pudemos conviver na sala/átrio a qualquer hora). O quarto tinha bastante espaço, uma tv, dois pequenos sofás e a típica porém bonita vista para o canal, a cama era super confortável, a cozinha estava bem equipada e a casa de banho era agradável também, bastantes toalhas, almofadas e edredões extra providenciados, gel de banho, sabonete e champô e ainda aquecedor e ventoinha. O aquecimento é central e tem temporizador porém há instruções de como ligar caso necessário. Em termos de limpeza também estava tudo ótimo. Localização fantástica a poucos minutos a pé do centro, numa área super tranquila. Em termos de preço tendo em conta que fiz a reserva muito perto da data acho que foi justificável. Definitivamente voltarei se possível.

Ficámos no último andar portanto era bastante cansativo subir e descer tantos degraus.

Tobias is extremely responsive and catering to our every need during the whole stay. We felt warmly and genuinely hosted. The property is well kept and maintained. The facilities covered all needs of a couple that likes to cook and eat in, as well as explore the city. Everything is within walking distance. The atmosphere of canal side homes in a residential neighborhood - rarely a car passes. Mostly serene and calming silent boats gliding by between the tree-lined cobblestone ways. We most likely will be back at Kalkmarkt. We stayed five nights in the sub-street level suite, a few steps down and hidden in a cozy flat for two.

Sad that's it's over... Now seriously - make sure the washroom vent is running often to ensure proper good ventilation of the suite. The proximity of the washroom to the bed makes this a non-negotiable. Washroom door open-close a bit tricky to negotiate the lever.

Bel appartement ancien, typique des entre-sols d'Amsterdam. Excellente situation géographique entre la gare et le centre-ville, au calme et face aux canaux. Appartement confortable avec un vrai coin salon et une belle table de cuisine-salle à manger.

Peut-être un peu plus de matériel de cuisine mais c'était déjà très bien. Amsterdam est une ville horriblement chère et, dans ce contexte, la location, chère par rapport aux prix d'il y a quelques années, est dans un bon rapport qualité-prix du marché.

The stairs were very steep but what do you expect from an original Dutch house.

Location was perfect. Within walking distance of good restaurants, interesting shops, beautiful canals, and metro. Our suites were very clean and comfortable. Our hosts went out of their way to make us feel welcome with complimentary coffee, tea and sparkling water. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.

The only thing that was not quite right was an electrical outlet by a mirror in 1 bathroom.

A wonderful stay! Tobias was a very helpful host. We had all of the amenities needed to feel right at home, plus a lovely view of the canal from the top floor apartment. The location is perfect - everything within walking distance but on a quieter street for a very peaceful stay.

Very nice hosts! A lot of cats - we were waiting to meet them all, cat lovers =) Perfect view. A lot of space. Very good equipped. Perfect location - in the center, but not noisy.

Old house = authentic and really sweet, but narrow stairs (3d floor on foot) and no air condition (but there was a fan). We were ready for that.

A wonderful apartment in every respect. What I particularly liked was that the bed had an excellent mattress and two duvets. Special thanks for providing coffee, which tasted great!

This is the top floor of a typical beautiful old Dutch house in the historic center of Amsterdam. It’s been beautifully renovated and furnished. The steep stairs, old wooden window frames, and wooden surfaces throughout the interior are a charming part of the place’s authenticity. Gorgeous lite from every directions. Amazing view to the channel. Great communication with friendly hosts. For us, the adorable cats lounging in the window on the ground floor were an added bonus. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

A bit pricy

Very friendly hosts, welcoming and helpful. We were allowed to check in early and they looked after our suitcases when we left. The accommodation was cute, clean and comfortable. The location was amazing, very central and by the canal. We even got to meet their gorgeous 7 cats, which was a bonus.

It's a great little apartment with everything you could need. Warm at night and open windows in the day. A great position for the main centre of town. It was very helpful to be able to leave our luggage with the owners until our flight time. Thank you again.

Location was key. Great area and could walk easily from central train station dragging 20kg bags - 15-18 mins. The reviews mentioned the stairs, its true, there are many and steep BUT the view is best at the top. I am over 60 and had 2 x 20kg bags that I could use as a backpack, I was cautious going up and down BUT worth the effort !!
