Great place to stay. Close to the subway and the airport. Decent sized rooms and a free breakfast in the morning.
Red Roof Was Amazing Stay , Rooms Are Super Clean & Staff is Nice Tho . Thanks MANZIL SIDHU
Cozy room, quick access to train station. I did find a cockroach in my room. But other than that a great stay.
The hotel is great! Very close to station, shops & Donki! Staffs are very friendly & helpful. Very close to Haneda airport too. Unfortunately the area are very close to ‘adult clubs’ and we came as a family with kids. We should’ve done more research about the area
great staff
My first time in Japan, 7 minute walk to Kamata Train Station and about 15-20 minutes from airport (depending when you’re traveling during the day/night). Staff are friendly, rooms are clean, a bit small but that’s just standard in Japan, my first room I got when I checked in the A/C was only blowing cold air next to the entrance where the vent is but it didn’t blow any at the bed so I was sweating the first night but I called the front desk in the middle of the night and they moved me to a way better room and that has the A/C facing towards the bed and blowing/circulating throughout the whole room. Absolutely loved the staff’s prompt response and positive attitude. Laundry is on the 7th floor and the detergent is built in the washer so no need to worry about buying any, they also have the ice machine and drinks vending machine in that room. They have a very light pastry breakfast options with yogurt, juice, milk, coffee, tea and water. Other than that, it was an amazing 8 night stay. Food and stores are all within 1-5 minutes walk. I will be choosing this hotel again in the future, also I extended my checkout time to 2pm which is 1,000 yen per hour but if you stay past 4 hours it’s a full 1 night room and tax charge but 1,000 yen per hour is a steal for a late checkout fee!!! Checkout is at 11am but I extended it to 2pm for $20.32USD. Loved it! Thank you so much for making my stay comfortable and amazing!!
Great affordable options next to the train and shopping center. I would stay again. Staff was very friendly.
Friendly staff. Light breakfast included. 5 minutes on foot from Kamata JR Station. 20 minutes on bus 95 from Haneda Terminal 3 to Kamata Station. Easy commute by train to all parts of Tokyo from Kamata.
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Will definitely make a return visit.
Good place to stay
All of the front desk staff members were very helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay there again!
Affordable, not far from JR line (Train)
Rooms are average size for Tokyo, would recommend the twin rooms with shower room as there was more space in the bathrooms. The staff were very helpful and friendly, the hotel is very convenient if you are on a budget, quick transfer links to central Tokyo and all the tourist sites.
Staff very professional and helpful.
Room was moldy but the staffs were very nice and helpful
Nice location. Rooms are great clean and good size.
Pleasant stay. Close to the train station and a lot of food variety nearby. Would definitely recommend to others
Over nice hotel, staff are friendly. Was my first stay in Japan and they made it very easy as I’m just traveling. Super welcoming and amazing spot around a good places to eat and shop
Room was nice for 2 people. Clean with toiletries provided. Area was a bit rough after 10pm. I would stay here again. Super close to Kamata Station a Don Quijote and a 7/11
.
The Red Roof Inn is close to a Metro station and gives easy access to sights in Tokyo. The staff are friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast and all day coffee, tea and soup were much appreciated.
The staff was very helpful in dealing with my flight delayed and changing my days. The hotel is in a great location 20 mins away from toyko and close the the train station I will come again
It was a wonderful experience. The size of the room was just right for me as a single traveler. The entire hotel was super clean. The staff made efforts to communicate with me in English when they did not have to do it. I will definitely stay at Red Roof Inn Kamata. I loved the area due to the fact it felt less touristy.
Very convenient location and very excellent hotel
Great hotel. Great location
We loved it in Kamata there are plenty of shops and restaurants near the hotel. The station is a 5 min walk from the hotel

The property had many bars and cafes to choose from. There are convenience stores within walking distance of the property.
Staff was cordial, and the early check in service was great after coming in from a flight, plus the amenities were more than enough to accommodate us in this stay.
Very clean and quite area, property itself was kept very clean with excellent staff and service
A very standard and well kept business hotel in a convenient location. If you’re looking for a decent bed and bath with a location that has a lot of amenities, it’s hard to beat the price and convenience you’ll find here.
Excellent hotel for our first time in Japan!
Nice
The location was pretty good! Very convenient access to the Keihin Tohoku line [light blue (JK) line of JR] East allows easy transfer to other lines. At first, I was worried about taking a bath, but how this process works - is "as designed". The room size is perfect and had no issues with luggage space. My only observation is that earplugs are necessary at night (a quick trip to Donki & Silencia earplugs can fix that) for those who are sensitive to noise. The property quickly responded to any inquiries I had and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Other than that, I loved my time here. Check out their flyers for nearby places to eat! Highly recommended to stay here!
Excellent staff who were able to communicate in any language you would need. So many great restaurants and shopping options in the area. I would certainly stay here any time i am in Tokyo
This is in a great location to access the JR line and the airport. The neighborhood itself is nice and quiet, and the staffs are good at providing assistance in multiple languages. If I visit Tokyo again, I would absolutely consider staying here again.
Very close to JR station and walkable yo the Keikyu line to go to the airport.
You will get the basics to get through your trip. Convenient, helpful staffs. My second reservation and will come back again.
Location was was close enough to town centre if u wanted plenty of dart clubs and snooker clubs open very late have beers in of thats what you were after
Nice hotel with friendly staff. We loved the free coffee and breakfast. Our shower was excellent. I have allergies and it would have been nice to have been offered a non-feather duvet and pillows. Instead, we got a small blanket in a duvet cover which ended up scrunched up, and small cushions which weren't very comfortable. It was a last minute request but maybe buy some alternatives for the next allergic guest?
Nice little cozy area with the train nearby

Ab
It was not noticed until my last day of staying but i took the sheets off the bed to make it easier for the cleaning lady and when i lifted the sheet there was bed bugs. I felt nasty after discovering this.
Very nice facility and staff. Room was comfortable as well.
Very nice and quiet hotel.
I stayed here for two nights, and by "stayed here" I mean that I stayed here for one night then got another hotel for the second night. I was in room 103, right near the lobby. And I heard EVERYTHING that happened in the lobby -- every voice, everything being moved around, every new trash bag being opened, EVERYTHING. And when I tried to sleep, my sinuses started to close. Turns out, there was mold in the shower -- mold on the shower door and mold on the ceiling. Given this hotel's high-ish rating, I can only imagine how much better it must be on a non-ground floor. But if I can't ensure that I'll be away from the ground floor, I won't be risking it again. This hotel just lost a customer for life.
We booked a room with twin beds for 3 nights as we were travelling to different places in Japan. The hotel was conveniently close to a train station, lots of bars and restaurants and a few supermarkets. The room was adequate for our needs with a good shower and nice size bathroom, nice toilet, clean towels, comfortable beds. You could have your room cleaned daily if you wanted it. In the reception there was an area where a simple do it yourself breakfast was available in the morning, coffee, orange juice etc also a microwave. The housekeeping and reception staff were all very friendly and helpful.
Amazing all day coffee, tea , soup base ,microwave, toaster, ice and water in lobby Rooms can be small but all safe, water pot, , excellent staff always in toes, efficient welcoming room staff, excellent location , one drawback is fire STN is nearby , but rarely called . Red roof is 10 min to west side of kamata . Kamata is close to downtown but close to Haneda .
Ingot the worst views but the room was quiet .service Continues to surpass all previous 3star hotels . Great location . Night life is questionable.
Staff was very friendly, property was immaculate and very well maintained. Located a short walking distance from Kamata station, with plenty of food and shopping around. The room was very clean, with toiletries and a safe provided. Breakfast daily was 7-9am and included a variety of breads, a selection of juices, milk, tea, coffee, and yogurt. Very pleasant stay overall, would book again.
It was tucked away. Sweet quiet hotel staff was very friendly. Would stay again.
Location is fantastic, close to food and the JR line. But sadly my toilet was broken so there was only 1 (heavy) flush option rather than the light and heavy options
Terrible shower room and toilet. Incredibly small even for japanese standards.
Over all, was happy about my stay there. A few things to point out. 1. Some details in the bathroom was not very clean. A little dirty at the edge of bathtub under the sink. Just a little more attention would improve the cleanliness. 2. My too was on the ground floor. At night, sound of doors from neighbors made me difficult to fall asleep.
Outside of Tokyo but it's only a 5 minute walk to the JR station. Near the Haneda airport. Neat shopping and dining opportunities. I have made Kamata my go-to neighborhood when visiting Tokyo.
Amazing staff and great budget friendly and clean hotel. Quick walk to train station would stay here again!
Good price for Tokyo area
It was a great stay, however we had a leak in our room that was leaking around the air conditioner area whenever the people above us were taking a shower. Pretty unsanitary. it was probably a one off, but we were not happy about that.
Bed size too small
the best area in kamata town, safe, quit and station train, love it thank you Red Roof in Kamata see you soon I never forgetand I will be back again soon ! Arigatogozaimasu
Our stay was great! Easy and quick check-in, the room size is a bit small but still comfortable and clean.
A basic transit hotel, with good service.
the hotel did have a clean smell to it and the laudry is often found in the hallway.
Excellent staff, nice and quiet area, room and bathroom rather small but very efficient which is typical for Japan.
Hotel where we stayed was quiet. Food everywhere which was great. English speaking and staff helpful. Key card access to use elevator. Subway was very close very convenient.
The room was nice but very small, would not have wanted to stay there for more than a day. I am 5’10” (178 cm) and I could not stand up straight in the shower and barely fit through the doors. Not too far from Kamata station or a variety of convenience stores, and definitely walkable. The window did not latch, which wasn’t too much of a problem as we were on the fourth floor, but the smell of cigarette smoke came in from the street and the room definitely smelled. The pillows were quite hard and a bit difficult to sleep on.
Very convenient location. Close to the Kamata Station and easy access to anywhere in Tokyo. Lot’s of restaurants around the hotel. And this hotel has free continental breakfast which is very rare at hotels in Japan and really nice service. Breads, fresh juice, onion soup, yogurt, coffee, tea and milk. Nice and friendly staff. The room and bathtub are little small but it was enough. Reasonable price to stay.
Really nice staff will help out in any way they can as well the room are nice and clean, the location is perfect if you plan to use the trains
It was ok
Staff will let store luggage if you have hours left for your flight after check out
Great hotel! Close to the airport and helpful staff. Thank you
Very helpful staff members. Hotel is 5 minutes away from the train station. Will stay here again. Service was great. Highly recommended 👍
Clean. Staff courteous and helpful. Some noise issues from the outside. But, I don't think it's something you can control.
Have stayed at this hotel many times and never seen dirty floors like this before. Not only that, there’s a sense of false advertising when displaying what a specific room look like. For example, if I’m looking for a bio let room with a double bed, I will be shown pictures of a single room which does not correspond to to room I’m looking for. (Verify the room before making a reservation)
The property is in a very convenient location with many food options nearby and quick access to the train station. Only thing is the doors and walls are thin so you can hear people walking in the hallway and the fire station outside. But those noises are not frequent and should not affect your ability to sleep
I booked bigger and they offered me very small..and they don’t accept credit card which is weird answer in japan
Cheap and convenient place with a friendly staff close to the station
The hotel is conveniently located near Kamata station. Plenty of restaurants, pubs, izakaya and shopping.
Customer service was excellent and quick. Room was very clean and comfortable for our stay. Bed is a spring mattress which was pretty comfy and there was a choice between soft and hard pillows for both my partner and I which I appreciated. Would definitely book again if I am in the area.
Our stay was good. Plemty of great places to eat. Convient located. Transportatiom accessible by Bus. Train or Taxi. Haneda Inyernational Airport is a bou 30 minites away. If your driving the have no parking and Pay parking averages 2.000 or 4.000 Yen per night. If your watching Netflix brig your own HDMI cable.
The staff's professionalism, helpfulness, and friendliness all make this hotel a good choice. It is very convenient to public transit (a brief 4-5 minute walk to Kamata station). For a budget-minded hotel, it served my needs.
Best price for the the location and room you can find. The renovated showers were really good and the room was very spacious for Tokyo.
Excellent service and facilities provided.. Very clean room but a bit small for 2 person.. Nearby Kamata Station, so easy access.. Many convenience store and mall surround.. Overall well done and thank you..
very close to the station. cheap but clean and comfortable
Close to train station and nice staff. Easy to find
Did what it said on the tin. Good value clean and tidy and near lots of bars and eateries.
Great hotel . It is in quiet area, but walk 5 mins, you are into convenience
There were no wash cloths or Japanese scrub towels in the bathroom. When I asked at the front desk they said they didn’t provide any. This has been a standard amenity in everywhere else I stayed in japan. I had to go to the local daiso store to buy one👎
It was a nice stay before leaving for the airport. Everything was good, no complaints
Quiet area lots of food places around. Also handy to Kamata station.
First time in Japan and found the hotel was situated just a short walk from the Kamata Station, a direct line from Haneda Airport. Room was small but clean and tidy with good bathroom amenities and all that goes with them. Staff were pleasant and helpfull and it was just a stroll to a miriade of eating establishments. Not speaking or reading Japanese we found two Apps were essential, a good offline map app with the appropriate arwa maps saved and an offline translator app with the laguage saved. These allowed us to navigate quite sucessfully and communicate where needed if we wanted to go somewhere or needed to find put what was on the menu. A good rule of thumb we found was see where the majority of licals ate and eat there and so far its worked a treat.
Very tiny room. Reminisce of a studio apartment in Manhattan. The bed and pillows were rock hard but the staff was wonderful and the room itself was decent for the price. Overall, a positive experience.
The hotel itself is clean and acceptable. The staff was friendly enough. The room is just what you pay for. However it seemed to be in a sketchy alley with some shady looking business happening. Also, there was women screaming here, seemingly in distress and made me feel on edge. Kind of a scary experience. This was literally the first time I’ve felt truly unsafe Japan.
Comfy and perfect for an overnight stay, the vending machine, however, tailored towards tea and coffee and i prefer soft drinks
Love the location it’s closer to Kamata Station. Definitely will recommend the hotel.
the room was fairly spacious by japan standards, double bed feels plenty big for 2 adults and 1 child, bathroom small but very very clean, room rate very affordable yet comes with all toiletries and even free bottled water. Cheap overnight parking around the hotel (if you can find a free spot that is, and only after 10PM). Breakfast had plenty of variety of pastries and even pork buns. Great economical place to stay
The location of this hotel is very convenient for train stations, restaurants, shopping and supermarkets. Rooms are very clean and staffs are supportable. Only a few things leaving comment are “there is only one washer and dryer in the laundry, so you might need to wait sometimes” and “there is no chair for the complementary breakfast at the lobby floor”. Everything else, it was fine staying for me.
