My husband and I stayed at the Inn at 500 for our 10th anniversary, and it was nothing short of magical. We have a longer trip planned for later this year, but we still wanted to mark the actual day with something special—and this hotel delivered beyond our wildest dreams. I called the day before to see if I could drop off a few surprises for the room, and the front desk staff were incredibly sweet and accommodating. However, the biggest surprise was waiting for both of us: they upgraded us to a stunning suite with a breathtaking view. Honestly, we were both moved to tears by the gesture. The room was gorgeous, and the service was exceptional from start to finish. We’ve already decided to make this a semi-annual tradition every six months and we can’t wait to bring our pups along next time! Thank you, Inn at 500, for making our milestone so unforgettable.
You will truly feel like a guest at this hotel. Everything from the free snacks and beverages throughout your stay to the perfectly bagged ice to take to your room to the cozy lobby area. It was close to downtown for great food. Another highlight was the valet app made things so much quicker and easier. The subtly themed rooms were charming.
My husband and I like to come here for our date nights. It is a wonderful, clean hotel with nice rooms, the staff is wonderful, and the Hemlock Restaurant is very nice! It's in walking distance of all things downtown and makes for a nice getaway for us.
Great location Friendly staff The rooms are large and very nice Comfy beds The little extras like drinks and snacks were perfect
We had a quick romantic refresher❤️. Food, atmosphere and special treatment from the Hemlock pastry chefs. The cheesecake was to die for!
We love this hotel! The location, the staff, the Hemlock restaurant, the suites with a balcony. We watched the sun come up, it was amazing.
Excellent all around service, and most definitely will recommend to anyone traveling to the Boise area.
The room was so comfortable and the reception was very welcoming. I enjoyed being able to grab a cold water from the refrigerator and take to my room. The fireplace in my room was an added bonus! I really loved the ambiance it created.
Always my favorite in Boise!
Large room, large bathroom, clean and comfortable
A rough start to our 2-day stay. We were going to stay & relax before we had to do a Formal, then to a Funeral. Because of the issues we paid for a night without staying in hotel & it was even commented on when we arrived before our event that we wasted a night. We spent as little time at the hotel as possible. Since we didn't book directly through the hotel, booking through Expedia at over $400 a night w/ a tiny discount, we were treated like we 2nd class or something. Not a great stay. I can say this will be the last time we stay at this hotel unless something major changes. We stay because our friends stay and they get great service. They are absolutely dismissive with us. Weird because we tip better, we're never loud, we never ask for anything, never complain about the room. The issue is always the handicapped parking they continue to violate and act like we're the issue. He ask nicely and theyre dismissive orthe last time their chef ws parked in the slot and told me I could come back later. So we did, a day later, wasting over $450 on a night not to stay the night. Then he made flipped comment about "well your reservation were made through Expedia so things were bound to go wrong" & told me to make it w/ the hotel next time to get service. We had requested the romantic package w/ red wine for the challenging week we'd ha. I followed up the day before & put the credit card on file. Got to the room & receipt was on stick in flowers. Not Romantic. They just didn't care.
This was for my daughter’s wedding night. They upgraded the room and made them feel special.
The Inn at 500 Capitol was wonderful! We stayed there twice during our trip to Boise since we liked it so much the first time. They provide free snacks and water and a glass of wine or a beer at check in.
Wild hotel with full dioramas behind the bed. Super comfy and great.
This is an incredible place to stay in Boise, and always our go to!
It was our 2nd time staying here and the best sleep I had on a multi day trip. Everything was clean. The bed linens were soft. The location is fabulous for walking to multiple dining options.
Yes I can't wait to stay again
From the time we landed in Idaho we had a great experience, car rental, valet, check-in, etc. This hotel is fabulous! The room was really clean and comfortable. The staff was so kind and friendly.
Excellent property, clean and had very helpful staff. Onsite restaurant was also fabulous. Highly recommend.
Beautiful theme hotel.
The Inn at 500 Capitol is nothing short of perfection. Their attention to detail, and the comfort of their rooms are very warm and welcoming.
Wonderful spot within walking distance of the restaurants shop, theatre, and park!
Beautiful Boutique hotel. Great staff, clean beautiful room. Convenient location to everything downtown, lovely decor in room. Very comfortable beds and nice bathroom. Reasonably priced.
Stayed one night. Great location for riding bikes on the Greenbelt. Room was fabulous. Staff was great. Would definitely stay here again.
One of the top 3 hotels in Boise, IMHO. (The Renegade and The Avery are the other two) Great, original, unique decor. You know you're not in a chain hotel! Free snacks, soft drinks, beer and wine in the lobby is a nice touch. High quality bar and restaurant. Many rooms have balconies. Can't go wrong here.
Did not shop, enjoyed the stay. High class hotel. I would go again.
Great Hotel
Great hotel!
This is a very nice facility and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed the patio to relax on and enjoy being outdoors. However, I would recommend requesting a room that is not located on Myrtle Ave. Having the patio door and being on the 2nd floor, the weekend night traffic was extremely loud until after 2 am. Other than that, the hallway was very quiet and we didn't hear anything from the adjoing rooms. Nice, spacious and clean room. Great location within walking distance of parks and downtown.
So much fun to be had at The Inn at 500 Capitol!!! Staff is extremely helpful and upbeat attitudes! The hotel itself is gorgeous! The location could not be better! If we visit Idaho in the future, we will definitely be staying at The Inn at 500 Capitol!
Great property
It's a very high-quality and comfortable property.
I enjoy the uniqueness of the Inn at 500. The staff in the years I have stayed have always been friendly and professional. The new restaurant Hemlock was a breath of fresh air and the staff at the bar were phenomenal. When you get out of your car, the Valet are the 1st people to greet you. They have a big impact on your 1st and repeat impressions of any hotel. And set the mood for the rest of the checking in process. I've always enjoyed the close proximity to downtown and to the park. It's a favorite hotel for me when I come to Boise.
We stayed at the 500 for my birthday. It was Amazing!!! Great service, Beautiful room. Everything from the valet parking to the complimentary glass of wine walking in the door really just made me feel like i was special. One thing to keep in mind the valet parking is a charge of 30 dollars for protected overnight parking. I really didn't pay attention to that checking in, but it was totally worth it.
Great place to get away and relax!
Tried to check in. Waited over 2 minutes for a front desk clerk to appear. None of the phone lines are answered and could not get assistance from restaurant or valet.
Friendly staff, free drink at check-in, great restaurant (Hemlock) onsite with a great staff.
Cute room. Clean, great staff and convenient to our destination
Very comfortable beds
Very friendly and helpful staff
Great property! Complimentary upgrade upon arrival. Clean, friendly staff and unlimited free water and snacks!
Stayed here for a family wedding and the team provided above and beyond accommodations. A few things that we especially loved- super conveniently located to the airport, the complimentary waters, sodas and snacks were a nice touch. Would definitely come back and stay here in the future!
My wife and I stayed at the Inn at 500 Capitol in Boise, ID in Sept 2025 on personal travel. We wanted to stay in the downtown area, so with lots of time reviewing hotel options in downtown Boise, we choose the Inn at 500 Capitol. The location is really good, the valet experience was efficient, the hotel reception staff were super helpful getting checked in, and our room was fantastic with a high quality feel (luxurious) at a reasonable price. We had a view of the Capitol building from our 5th floor balcony room which as cool. The bed comfort was luxurious and likely the best hotel bed we've ever slept on. The Hemlock restaurant in the facility is expensive (high-end restaurant), but we received great service from multiple servers/support staff during the dinner. Actually, the high cost of the food was worth it! The Potato Bar experience at our table was fantastic and I highly recommend it. My wife and I enjoyed this place! The only knock on our stay was some unfortunate road construction next to this hotel (with no fault of the hotel).
Good location and staff was helpful
Stay was great. Was disappointed about the airport shuttle situation. I had to uber both times as the shuttle was being deep cleaned or unavailable. Room and location was great!
Beautiful room and decor, quick courteous staff
Some of the best service and hospitality I have received from a hotel in a long time. Caring staff who were attentive and there to make our stay extra special. Great and fun rooms too. Can’t wait to go back!
It was a beautiful hotel in a great location. I have 2 recommendations to make it even better. 1. Pleasr provide an alternative to coffee. Hot chocolate would have been great. 2. The cleaning staff should close the barn doors in the toilet area when they clean. They will see all the dirt/dust on the baseboards behind the door that way. As i said before, it was a beautiful place to stay and the staff, inside and outside, couldn't have been nicer or better. We will definitely stay there again when we are in Boise.
Super clean and there’s snacks and waters, which is a big plus ! The location is amazing. The only thing I would change is that the sun comes in the windows, which is a little bit hard when you’re used to blackout shades.
Very nice clean hotel
Nice, clean, modern, with an amazing staff
Excellent stay!! We will be back
Hotel Guest should not have to make a reservation at the restaurant
After a full day of touring cattle farms it was a nice relaxing place to stay! Loved the deer decor in our room
Nice modern hotel. Staff overworked but friendly. Parking was challenging. Walkable to dining and river.
Great location, comfortable rooms
The parking garage
Friendly staff. Wonderful rooms.
The Inn at 500 is wonderful. The staff is so attentive and friendly and I LOVE the rooms. Each room has a fun animal and a welcoming fireplace. I will definitely stay again on my next trip to Boise.
This is our go-to every time we stay in Boise!
I gave this to my daughter and her husband as a gift. They've stayed here before and loved it. They reported back that this time it's as wonderful as ever. The only criticism they had was the breakfast they ordered for room service. My son-in-law loved his choice, but my daughter, who ordered a breakfast burrito, claimed that the cheese was suspiciously like cheese whizz. Apparently it was described as "government cheese". Surprising since the food came from the new high end restaurant downstairs. Nothing to do with the hotel, however.
Staff was amazing and very accommodating. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and nicely decorated.
I ordered the sea bass , but it was extremely salty. I almost it back, it was that salty. Otherwise food was good.
The service at the front desk was exceptional here. The free water and snacks were nice amenities. The $30 per day valet charge I thought was fairly high given the location and it would’ve been nice if breakfast was included for the fairly high room rates. Room was very clean but I wish the bathroom had a fan. That said I would consider staying again based on the location and the amazing service. Special shout out to Josh at the front desk who really went out of his way to help us a couple of times.
Great friendly Staff Great location Great rooms and very clean Amazing Restaurant and Bar I highly recommend staying at 500 Capitol Hotel when you are visiting Boise.
I really like the premade bags of ice for your room, and the butlers pantry for room service delivery so you don't have to open your door. The complimentary water and snacks are a bonus too! Friendly staff. I'll be back!
We really enjoyed our stay at Inn at 500 Capitol. Upon check in we were offered complimentary beer and wine. There was water, soft drinks and snacks available at no charge in the lobby. We could walk everywhere we needed to go, so close to everything downtown. And our room was very nice sized, with a window seat to look out at the town. We would stay here again!
Great hotel!
Great location, friends staff
I won’t stay anywhere else in Boise. My flight was canceled and staying here just made it all better.
Room was very large and comfortable with 2 balconies. Easy walking distance to Capitol, restaurants and the river Greenbelt. Breakfast in the hotel restaurant was very good. Waiter was very helpful
I love staying at this Inn when I visit my son in Boise. The rooms are spacious, and the bed is so comfortable! I love having a fireplace and kitchenette. The location is convenient being downtown, close to Boise State and the airport.
The property was amazing! Very cute and fun decor. Free snacks and drinks were a great touch. It was close to many cute shops and bars we easily walked to. All the staff we interacted with were kind. KP and Brandon who drive us to and from the airport were very friendly. Would definitely love to stay here again!
I very much enjoyed my stay @ Inn @ 500. The room was very spacious and I can't say enough GREAT things about the room service cabinet delivery system. I've never seen this type of set-up before and aside from the ease & security aspect of the concept (no need to get dressed to open your door to a delivery person) it's just a well thought out idea that I hope more hotels will incorporate in their properties. I also like having an outdoor space, but IF you book here and you'd like a better view outside your room, make sure and ask for a room on the street side of the hotel (unless you don't want any street noise.) My view overlooked building roofs and a parking lot (along w/ a distant view of a park.) Other than that, it was a most enjoyable experience and IF I ever have to return to BOI again, I will definitely stay here again. Thank you
The check-in process was a little slow, but the front desk was really responsive. Rooms were clean and it was a quiet area.
A well-run hotel with an excellent location; always a comfortable and pleasant experience. Our preferred hotel in Boise.
The hotel is wonderful, and the staff is outstanding. The location can't be beat as it's close to everything you need like restaurants, shops, and parks. They offer car service within 4 miles which is helpful on hot or rainy days. They provide free bike rental which was really fun at the part across the street. The onsite restaurant is fantastic! The vibe, drinks, food, service is all outstanding! Happy Hour special is top-notch and service we received from Mel was incredible!
Fine
The Inn at 500 hosted a private Koch-funded event for Senator Crapo to push the One Big Beautiful Bill, which will kick thousands of Idahoans off healthcare. This is while he refuses to host a town hall for his constituents. This business is complicit in pushing the authoritarian takeover and should be avoided.
The rooms are absolutely gorgeous! We got a deluxe King which is the most prevalent room they offer. It was great, it was Egyptian themed. All the rooms have a different different theme. Egyptian isn't necessarily my style, but for someone who likes that kind of stuff it would have been great! When you walk in, you're greeted warmly by the staff and checked in quickly. They offer you complimentary beer or wine and then unlimited snacks that are also complementary including Coke products and chips and treats. They also have a beautiful restaurant and bar located within the hotel called The Hemlock. We went there for a nightcap and really enjoyed the ambiance. It's a very clean hotel and we will definitely be back! We went there for a staycation. We live in Nampa, about 15 minutes away and have always wanted to stay there. The only thing that didn't really run smoothly was the shuttle service they offer. Its really hard to get a hold of somebody when you need a ride back. We had scheduled a shuttle the day before for our dinner reservation and we didn't wind up getting there until about 5 minutes after our reservation. Even though we had made arrangements with the shuttle for 6:45 p.m. we didn't arrive until 7:05 for our reservation which was two blocks away. Had we realized that we would have just. Also it is valet only and it is $30 a day so that's a little spendy and wasn't a great value for us. But other than that it was great.
Have stayed here several times and will choose the Inn each time I am in Boise. Daughter is going to Boise State and I will be down there often
Beautiful, clean large room and bathroom- exquisitely decorated. It is a great location and fabulous staff
I had an outstanding stay at this hotel, truly the best hotel experience I’ve ever had. From the moment we checked in, the service was exceptional. The manager on duty went above and beyond, upgrading our room and welcoming us with a complimentary glass of wine. He also offered thoughtful dinner recommendations that made our evening in Boise even better. The room itself was beautifully themed around Idaho wine, with elegant design details that made it feel unique and memorable. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. The hotel’s downtown location is another highlight, making it easy to enjoy the best of Boise right outside the door. I highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Boise whether for business or leisure. It combines excellent hospitality, local character, and comfort in a way that’s truly impressive.
Great stay.. The valet department was impeccable. Will be staying at this hotel again absolutely. Hands-down.
After staying in large brand hotels all year, the Inn at 500 Capital was a nice break from the same old place I normally stay. Staff was first class and made a work trip feel like a vacation. The onsite restaurant was not your typical hotel restaurant. It’s a place I would visit even if I wasn’t staying at the Inn. Employees seemed happy to be there and that is a nice change from larger hotels.
The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and well maintained. The decor was very attractive. My beds were comfortable. Lots of shelves, drawers, and closet space. I would definitely return to this property.
What an amazing place! Bed was soooo comfortable and the shower an jacuzzi tub...I mean, WOW! Any the views and balconies are wonderful. Such a lovely place to watch the downtown scene as you enjoy a glass of wine or coffee.
The rooms were great and the beds were nice. I was on the 4th floor but next to the main roads and both nights I was awakened by loud cars and motorbikes.
Absolutely great place - can’t say enough about the “5 star” experience they provide! Will definitely return, as it’s a great place to celebrate kids off to college!
The room is perfect and the bed is comfortable. Super location.
I stay at this hotel often. The staff is friendly and goes above and beyond. They offer free drinks and snacks. The rooms are clean. The beds/pillows are very comfortable. There is an abundance of storage in the room, including drawers in the bathroom under the vanity so you are able to move in if you are going to be there for a long time period. Love having the fireplace in the room.
I stayed at several hotels over the yeas in Boise. This was my 1st time here and noe, my only choice for the future.
Rooms were nice, customer service exceeded expectation and location was centrally located with easy access to the greenbelt and a multitude of restaurants / bars.
On our way to and back from Sun Valley/Stanley we spend the evening in Boise. This is our to go place since it takes care of all our needs and is conveniently located as it relates to shopping and dining.
Clean and safe.
Great clean place to stay.
We love staying here when we stay in Boise. Great walkable restaurants and nightlife. Beds and rooms are amazing!
Resteraunt was a disappointment for brunch, but hotel is great and is our go too for a quick weekend away.
This hotel hit all the right marks! Rooms design is excellent, the layout is one the best I have experienced. Fireplace, Desk, etc...it didnt feel like your typical hotel! Looking forward to staying again! Location to downtown is a plus as well...a few block walk and you are near tons of great restaurants and great bars! The added snack and beverages included from the lobby snack bar is a plus. Decent little gym but could use a few heavier weights, staff was fantastic! I travel once a week for business and stay in numerous hotels. This is one of my tops without being overly expensive!
Very good experience
