Von der ersten Minute haben wir uns wohl gefühlt. Die besondere Architektur, die super Lage in der Altstadt und die sehr freundlichen Damen am Empfang haben uns begeistert.

Belle chambre spacieuse avec lit très confortable. L’emplacement est parfait dans le centre historique et proche du port. Le palace en lui-même est magnifique, bien restauré avec un salon de toute beauté.

Die Schönheit des Palazzo, die Lage und die stilsichere Einrichtung mit modernen designer möbeln. Schade dass nicht alle Hotels so sind. Personal auch super hilfsbereit und freundlich.

This hotel was in the most convenient spot, I could walk anywhere I needed to go. Great breakfast, friendly staff and nice places to chill and relax

This is a fantastic hotel in a lovely square right in the historic part of Genoa. Full of character and lovely staff.

Truly lovely hotel, tucked in the old town on a charmingly local square with a great little bar. The ‘library/living room’ is a spectacular and very relaxing space.

Wenn man sich von der falschen Seite nähert, geht man durch eine eher nicht so schöne Ecke von Genua, wenn man es weiß, kein Problem.

Location is impossible to drive to! Either have to take a LONG walk in, or take a taxi from where we had to park with 4 pieces of luggage! Also, the staff seemed somewhat uninterested which was surprising and the bathroom is poorly designed and lit with spots. Worse, the room air conditioning shuts off when you leave the room with the e-key so when you return you have to start it again and it took a while to be comfortable with the small unit supplying the room. The neighborhood around the hotel is the OLD town and so it's dark with old, confusing streets. This hotel and location were definitely not a highlight of our trip.

Stunning building in the heart of Genoa , close to all of the sights and many restaurants and cafes. Really friendly helpful staff. Room was well decorated and clean. We ate at the hotels Bar Gilda one night- Fantastic food (small plates) really good cocktails and a delicious tiramisu! Recommend going to Spianata Castelletto, a terrace offering 360-degree views over the slate roofs, towers, and the port. In Genoa centre there is lots of amazing architecture and Piazza Ferraris fountains are beautiful. Lots of narrow streets to explore There are lots of homeless people and we did take care of our belongings when we were walking the little streets as we were followed on a couple of occasions - would recommend you check directions from the hotel for the area to avoid as this was helpful for us. From Genoa we walked to the train station and caught a train to Camogli and Santa margarita (where we walked the coastal path into portofino) So Genoa is a good base if you want to explore further a field. Thankyou Pallazo Grillo for making our stay such a lovely one. The hotel was beautiful

Non particolarmente visibile e per nulla segnalato . Se non si conosce la strada per arrivare si rischia multa ZTL e i dintorni sono pericolosi a piedi alla sera. Il loro servizio con ape car fa orari ridicoli , finisce servizio alle 17.

Die Lage ist ideal und das Personal sehr freundlich. Auch das Zimmer und das Badezimmer waren sehr sauber.

Das Einzige, was das Hotel vielleicht noch verbessern könnte, wäre, die Zimmer mit einer kleinen Nespresso-Maschine auszustatten.

Nice and clean. Beautiful ceilings and marble staircase. Nice library common area. Good breakfast.

The parking is a hassle no matter how you cut it. A very hot difficult walk with luggage for 10mins across cobblestones. Getting the car near to the hotel for luggage pickup on the back end was equally difficult, absolute terror ride through narrow streets. Perhaps my own fault for renting a large estate car. You can get within a minutes walk, and then you must lug your luggage to the car again. Don’t attempt in high heat! Hotel was comfortable otherwise but do not recommend attempting to get big checked luggage there.

Il taxi non può arrivare fino all'albergo per le strade troppo strette, ma sono pochi metri di distanza.

Tolle Lage, sehr zentral in der Altstadt gelegen, schöner Palazzo, ist immer jemand an der Reception, hohe Räume in den Zimmern. Die Qualität des Empfangs hängt stark von den jeweiligen Mitarbeiterinnen ab.

Zugang mit Gepäck kann sehr schwierig sein, insbesondere wenn man mit dem Auto anreist. Die Betriebszeiten des Shuttel-Service sind sehr eingeschränkt.

Mariage du mobilier contemporain avec une structure renaissance. Tout est d’un goût parfait. !! personnel aux petits soins , salle de lecture impressionnante !! une expérience parfaite pour découvrir la Strada nuove ou la cathédrale, car tout se trouve à proximité .. même les bars sympa !!

Difficile de trouver

The location for those wanting to explore historic portside Genoa is excellent. The hotel is tucked away in a lovely square (which has a very good, reasonable restaurant 'Fabbro', and a good cafe for breakfast). Around the square are less agreeable quarters, albeit very 'authentic'. The port is a couple of minutes' walk away. The hotel itself is in a splendid 16th c. palazzo. The facade, reception area and a large, main, common room on the piano nobile (seemingly never used) are most impressive, and even frescoed. The hotel has all mod cons, including AC (except in nthe bathrooms) and good wifi and our room, at least, was very quiet. It is imperccably clean and towels/sheets are changed regularly. The staff were all exceptionally helpful and pleasant.

By contrast with the reception areas, the actual rooms are disappointing. What you don't realise from the advert is that the palazzo has been completely gutted to make of it a hotel. The Renaissance facade is pushed heavily on the advertisements. So the rooms are entirely modern and spartan, to say the least. The twin beds were narrow and basic. The bathroom, at least in our case, however, was very spacious. AC in July was essential and worked, but sometimes one had to ask for it to be activated from reception, or phone the hotel a bit before you were coming back, for them to switch it on. At the price, this seemed mean in temperatures of 30+C. breakfasts are expensive at 18 euros a head and served on the fifth floor in a modern room with a terrace, not particularly pleasant. One can have breakfast out on the square for a fraction of the cost. One wonders why breakfast could not be served in the main reception room, which is splendid.

Beautiful interior, great lounge, good room. Surprisingly good shutters to darken the room at night,. speedy wifi.

Cumbersome transport from parking, and while the location is in the historic centre, summer temperatures make this the wrong place to be. Party people and homeless pee everywhere around these streets, so while we stayed there, there was a bad stench of human pee and (dog?) poop all around the hotel with 30°+. Watch where you set foot! This became unbearable, prompting us to leave the narrow streets here. Hence, I am downvoting the location, but it might be well worth a visit in colder, rainy weather. For full disclosure, there was never any smell inside the hotel. Also, the hotel street bar is very limited so after waiting there for a while, we chose to always dine out and have coffee outside the hotel.

AC was suboptimal because it's behind the curtain, so if you don't want sun in the morning, you won't have cold air.

Critères de sélection sur Booking.com « parking » Or il n y en a pas… c etait en plus du référentiel de l établissement mon critère le plus important ( des 4* à Genes de bonne facture il y a pléthore) Ce n’est que par un message une fois réservé (que je n ai pas lu car je conduisais) que l on m informe qu’il n y a pas de parking… sinon un conseil avec un qui est conventionné… Donc pas de parking Je vais aussi faire une réclamation auprès de Booking.com pour information mensongère Le personnel est particulièrement exécrable et ne communique pas L anglais est très approximatif voire inexistant quant au français inutile d essayer Bref un bel établissement bien situé (enfin presque venir à 21h du parking recommandé en passant par des petites ruelles est très intrigant… des prostituées et des zombies shootés) Ne venez pas… si vous avez des enfants ou que vous êtes de nature inquiète… Ressemble à un traquenard avec des personnes qui vous suivent en faisant des signes à d autres personnes que vous avez croisé…

Historisches Hotel an sehr zentraler Lage mitten in der Altstadt. Wunderbare Hoteleinrichtunh. Grosses Zimmer mit schönem Badezimmer. Gutes Frühstück mit tollen italienischen Süssgebäcken.

Im Zimmer gab es wenig Ablage und Staufläche.

El edificio es bellísimo por dentro y por fuera. Las instalaciones con acogedoras y hermosas. La habitación estaba muy bien también.

Nos costó llegar al hotel desde el parking de la marina, fue en un horario donde no había servicio de tuctuc y el taxi que tomamos nos dejó bastante lejos.

Freundliches hilfsbereites Personal. Gute Lage. Schönes Zimmer. Das ganze hotel ist ein alter Palazzo, der geschickt renoviert und gut zum Hotel wurde. Man lebt mit den Einheimischen zusammen am Platz.

Da das hotel im Altstadtbereich liegt, bringt ein Taxi einen nur in die Nähe. Der Rest geht zu Fuß. Das Bad war sehr warm. Klimaanlage kommt an ihre Grenzen. Das Frühstück ist gut, aber bei bestimmten Personal noch besser.

Palazzo storico affrescato in posizione centrale nella Genova tradizionale pedonale, con un twist di Design nella decorazione delle stanze e delle parte comune. Ottimo breakfast con buffet, all'ultimo piano con terrazzo. Ottimo servizio, e presenza punto di restauro sulla piazza di fronte all'hotel, Gilda, molto carino e raffinato, con servizio di qualità a pranzo ed aperitivo serale.

Palazzo bellissimo, stanza eccellente per arredo, confort del letto , bellissima la terrazza della colazione.

Il caffè della colazione era disponibile solo con il distributore automatico, un servizio di caffetteria avrebbe migliorato molto la qualità del caffè

Albergo fantastico e personale come sempre gentilissimo. Stanze molto pulite e moderne. Torno regolarmente e continuerò a farlo!

Ist keine Kritik sondern nur ein Hinweis, der Autoparkplatz / Garage ist nicht am Hotel, man wird aber dort mit einem Ape abgeholt und zur Unterkunft gebracht. Das macht Spass und man ist schnell da.

Die Lage ist topp, mitten in der Altstadt und trotzdem ganz ruhig. Das Frühstück war super, alles frisch und stetig frisch aufgefüllt.

Hôtel situé sur une place typique de Gênes un peu à l'écart de l'animation touristique . Très beau hall et escalier . Le petit déjeuner est très bon; du choix et des produits de qualité.

La décoration de la chambre manque de chaleur . il faudrait un rangement dans la salle de bain .

Beautiful palace in the heart of old town and a short walk to the port. The hotel bar is also amazing, service was fantastic and the hotel itself is beautiful.

The neighbouring streets are a bit shady at night so staff should warn tourists not to go through that area at night, especially alone.

Attention impossible d accéder en voiture à cet hôtel. Accueil déplorable. Donc déplacement à pieds avec valises, sacs, enfants sur des pavés pendant 15 min c’est la galère. L’hôtel propose un Tuk Tuk pour 5€ le voyages …si… si ce n’est pas une blague ; uniquement pour 2 personnes. Pour les valises et le reste tu te le coltines jusqu’a l’hotel à pieds. Nous n’y sommes pas restés. À la réservation l’hôtel devrait mentionner que l hôtel est inaccessible en voiture, ce n’est pas tres honnête de ne pas clairement l’annoncer mais on en devine la raison. Merci au service client de booking qui nous a tirés de ce très mauvais pas car vraiment avec enfants, bagages, sacs de voyages et en vacances c’est très certainement un hôtel à éviter et même À FUIR

Super-friendly staff, clean, comfortable rooms, and a great location in the old town. Free fruit on the roof-top deck was a nice surprise.

There was not much to complain about, but if I have to critique something, the drapes didn't block 100% of the outside light, but they worked well enough (probably only a problem for real vampires).
