Het personeel ter plaatse verdient een compliment: zij hebben zeer vriendelijk gereageerd en ons uit coulance een ontbijt aangeboden. Dit neemt echter niet weg dat de geboden accommodatie, gezien de misleidende foto’s en de staat van het verblijf, niet in verhouding stond tot de prijs van € 340 per nacht.

We hadden met 3 vriendinnen de loft geboekt. Helaas voldeed deze overnachting niet aan de verwachtingen die op basis van de foto’s op Booking.com waren gewekt. Bij aankomst bleek de sfeer van de loft duidelijk af te wijken van wat de foto’s op de website suggereerden. De ruimte oogde enigszins verwaarloosd, wat niet overeenkwam met de gepresenteerde beelden. Daarnaast deelt de voordeur van de loft het trapgat met het woonhuis ernaast, waardoor er een duidelijke sigarettenlucht in het trapportaal hing. Als je goed doorklikt op de foto’s van de loft dan zie je wel realistische foto’s van de loft maar als je - net als wij - valt voor de supermooie foto’s van het hotel en de hotelkamers (een prinsessenkamer voor ons gevoel) dan valt de loft enorm tegen. De loft is een bruine kamer, met bruine balken, donkere vloerbedekking, weinig sfeer. En dat voor een prijs van € 340 per nacht.

Location, the whole atmosphere of the hotel and the staff were very friendly.

The standard room had the beds in a mezzanine, access to the bathrooms at night was bit less confortable, going up and down, this was not expected but not big deal either...

We found the room to have a stylish and innovative design. The afternoon front desk staff provided great service, and the breakfast featured quality dishes.

This is the first time I have experienced an issue with the hotel payment through Booking.com. I recommend improving the integration and communication between your system and Booking. Additionally, I suggest expanding the front desk hours, as service is currently limited.

De locatie, service en ontbijt waren erg goed. Bij aankomst lekker kopje koffie en prettige medewerkers.

De prijs voor wat je krijgt vinden wij niet echt in verhouding. Misschien is de locatie zo goed dat ze altijd vol zitten, maar “bij ons in het noorden” mag je voor zulke prijzen we pure luxe verwachten. De airco werkte niet, bij het bed zat op de ene kant een verhoogde topper, andere kant niet. Terras was een trieste bedoening. De kamer was opzich leuk, maar het was geen “boutique” de service was dat wel.

Dat de bruinharige juffrouw eeg zakelijk was , daags ervoor gevraagd of de auto paar uren langer in de privé garage mocht blijven en dit aan 5 € per uur en de bruinharige juffrouw zei daags nadien doodleuk aan 10 € , terwijl de garage zo goed als,leeg was, heel jammer dan toch 5 € betaald voor 1,uur extra, onprofessioneel toch

goede ligging , prima verzorgd, mooi hotel en kamers.. comfortabel. Wij komen zeker terug voor de uitgestippelde wandelingen .

Met deze warmte miste we wel een ijskastje. We vonden het ontbijt wel prijzig maar goed verzorgd

Eine sehr gute, dabei ruhige Lage zeichnet das Haus aus. Freundliche Mitarbeiter schaffen die angenehme Stimmung, die im Haus herrscht.

Wir waren in dem Ferienhaus an der Gracht. Tolle Lage (nördliche Altstadt), trotzdem ruhig. Die Treppen sind steil - das sollte einen nicht stören.

Im 2. Schlafzimmer wären noch ein Stuhl und ein Nachttisch nett gewesen.

We really enjoyed staying in this charming hotel. Our room was comfortable, and the hotel granted my request for a quiet room on an upper floor. Our room had a beautiful peaked wooden ceiling and a view out towards the canal. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was walkable to everything we wanted to do in Leiden, and also close to a bus stop that allowed us to get to the train station quickly. A grocery store nearby was convenient for picking up juice, fruit and snacks.

The in-room safe requires a reset before you enter the code, which is different than the way most safes operate. I didn't read the instructions carefully and got locked out, but fortunately the staff responded quickly and fixed it.

Everything ... Staff, room, restaurant, service ... Everything.

We hebben hier geslapen voor onze marathon, de locatie was voor ons de doorslaggevende factor. het was een prima hotel alleen relatief duur voor de geboden faciliteiten.

Ik snap dat het een oud pand is. Hierdoor was de trap heel erg smal. Het ontbrak in de kamer aan een koelkast, er was een algeme koelkast onderin de hal. Mijn voorkeur heeft een eigen koelkast. Het was erg gehorig, toen de zon net opkwam hoorde ik de duiven op het dak. Er waren oordopjes voorzien (ook voor het geluid dat vanaf de staat afkomstig was, maar die hebben niet mijn voorkeur

Nothing special

This charming hotel is nicely located within easy walking distance of everything. The rooms are charming, although the bathrooms are small, as one might expect in the old section of any town. The staff were fabulous. Every single one. Cheerful, helpful, welcoming, and clearly dedicated to making our stay comfortable. It was wonderful to go to the lobby and grab a quick cup of coffee before going out for a run.

The bathroom sink was miniscule, but there was no room for a larger one. The shower was very nice.

Room was OK. Big enough, clean enough, comfortable bed. Great location - walking distance to station, shops and loads of restaurants.

Badly needs maintenance. Even basic things like the bathroom lights weren’t working properly. The air conditioning made a bad vibration noise so we had to turn it off at night - this would be a big problem in summer. The biggest issue though is that this hotel refuses to take payment via booking.com - presumably because they don’t want to pay whatever fees there are for that. So instead they insist you have to pay in advance by clicking a link they send you. For this reason alone I would not recommend staying here.

The location was really good! Only 6 mins walk from the location of the conference. Also very well connected to the city centre.

I did request two twin beds when I made the reservation but we were given a room with a double bed. It wasn't a huge deal but if were weren't such close friends it may have been an issue.

It was a very small hotel, traditionally and tastefully decorated, which sad along a canal. Contained into buildings, the reception and dining were in one and the rooms in another. My room was very large and overlooked the canal. It was quiet and dark at night, and the perfect home away from home. The breakfast offered is a good value, with a buffet selection of fruits, cereal, meats, cheeses, yogurt, breads, pastries, and beverages. Omelets and other eggs are available as part of the price.

I had a problem with the tv streaming. The hotel staff believes it was because I use an Apple phone. It worked with their phones. A little disappointing in the evenings, but access to streaming tv would never ruin my stay.

朝食で作ってもらえる分、卵料理とかがあって良かった（はじめは良く英語が聞き取れなくて分かりにくかったが。） スタッフもフレンドリーで、建物や室内が風情があり、部屋の環境も快適で優雅な気分の滞在が出来た。

冷蔵庫が無かったので不便だった。 2階の部屋だったが、階段が狭くて急でこわかった。荷物は小さかったので良かったが、スーツケースだったら大変だろう。 家具も古いもので仕方が無いかもしれないが、立て付けが悪かったり引き出しが開けにくかったりした。

Het bed was klein en slecht. We rolden naar elkaar toe. Daardoor slecht geslapen. Je ligt ook direct onder de airco.. dus of heel koud of te warm. Kussens ook slecht. Ik had er gezien de prijs van 253,- voor één nacht meer van verwacht.

Beautiful boutique hotel with large tastefully decorated rooms. Friendly and helpful staff and a great breakfast. Would definitely stay there again if i was visiting Leyden

Es gibt keinen Aufzug und wenn man nicht das Glück hat ebenerdig zu wohnen, ist es halsbrecherisch seinen Koffer über die schmale, kleine, steile Wendeltreppe nach oben zu bringen. Des Weiteren wurde mir telefonisch versichert vor Ankunft, dass das Personal mit dem Gepäck behilflich sein würde - das war es nicht. Es gibt nur 8 Parkplätze und doppelt so viele Zimmer, was nicht ideal ist, das das Tagesticket auf der Straße über die offizielle App 37 Euro pro Tag kostet.

The room was great - spacious, clean, and we really liked the decor. The bed was very comfortable. The air conditioning was quiet and effective. It was nice to have a view of the canal from the windows. The location was ideal for walking into the main historical area, and there were lots of restaurants, cafes, and bars to choose from.

It was a little noisy late at night when people were walking or cycling past and talking loudly, but it wasn't too much of a problem for us. The stairs to our room on the first floor were steep and narrow, but we were advised of this at the time of booking. The sturdy hand rails helped a lot. The stairs would not put us off staying in the same room again.

There is no lift. Carrying heavy luggage up the narrow stairs not recommended; if you travel heavy, ask for a ground floor room.

Excellent location, we could walk to and from Leiden Centraal to the hotel. The hotel was beautiful, right on a canal on Oude Singel. Really easy walk into the old city. We walked to the Pilgrim museum, botanical gardens, a really nice windmill museum and Lakenhal Museum was right down the street with a Jan Steen exhibit that was amazing. Everything was a walk, multiple canals, classic Dutch architecture and great restaurants. The hotel breakfasts were really delicious and the staff was delightful. We will never forget our time in Leiden, the hotel was an integral part of our experience.

The geographical situation of the hotel is tops! Only a few minutes walk to the centre of Leiden. Service and welcome: Tops! Staff could not be friendlier and more accommodating, full of good advice for restaurants and things-to-do. Bravo! Room: Small and simple with a very basic and very small bathroom. 4 stars? Maybe 3 and 1/2 if in good mood... Breakfast: Pleasant, as served in a beautiful lounge. Selection ok (egg menue available), but nothing to write a short story about. Parking: Hotel's own garage just three minutes walk away - very convenient. All in all: Don't hesitate to book at this hotel, but don't expect miracles.

We hadden de bovenverdieping op andere locatie, de tv in zitgelegenheid versprong steeds op een ander kanaal, tv in slaap gedeelte had dit precies zo in de ochtend. Konden niks kijken. (Receptie gesloten) De badkamer is heel klein en was bakje knullig. Badhanddoeken roken naar schimmel! En de deur kan van het appartementje binnenuit niet op slot! Na klacht bij uit checken gaf de receptie aan dat dit automatisch gaat, maar het staat nergens. Slaapt onrustig, al met al veel te veel geld voor alles. We kregen parkeren gecompenseerd maar toch erg teleurgesteld

- Preis- Leistung- Verhältnis unangemessen - Frühstücksbüffet sehr überschaubar, aber teuer - Unterkunft ist nicht barrierefrei (sehr steile Treppen, kein Aufzug), hat uns aber nicht beeinträchtigt - Zimmer zu warm: Fenster zur Gracht hin ließen sich nicht öffnen und Heizung ließ sich nicht runterregeln (lief permanent auf 23,5 Grad Celsius bei 18 Grad Außentemperatur) - Terrasse unliebsam gestaltet, Wohlfühlfaktor null - Bad sehr klein, keine Abstellmöglichkeiten, zu wenige Halterungen für Handtücher, Handtücher waren zum Teil fleckig, Silberfischchen in der Dusche - Parkplatz in einer Garage im Hinterhaus wurde angemietet, dieser ist nur für Kleinwagen geeignet und ebenfalls sehr teuer

The staff are fantastic! - Friendly, patient, helpful, multilingual and really hospitable. The facilities are comfortable and clean, and the historical building well appointed and in great condition. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful.
