Comfort Inn & Suites Merritt

The manager openly berated the cleaning staff while we were at the front desk, waiting to check in. We also heard another couple who checked in after us comment about the same thing. It was disgusting how she spoke to him.

Great hotel, comfy beds, lovely pool and hot tub, and the breakfast was satisfying.

We travelled in our 2018 Chevy Bolt BEV. Having two charging stations in the parking lot was a real bonus and one of the factors in our selection of this hotel.

Initially it was the friendly receptionist

That it had a fire and there was no coordination of the evacuation or no roll call It took a minimum of two hours before we were told by the ambulance crew that an emergency service has been set up It was drizzling and we were left not knowing anything or no where to go toilet which was not good for people who can’t hold bladder for long

Good spot to stop after driving through mountains from Alberta.

Everything was excellent until we had to evacuate because of a devastating fire. Our clothing and luggage suffered smoke and water damage, but thankfully no one was injured. Other than that everything excellent. I would give it 5 stars if it weren’t for the fire

Hotel caught fire about 1 in the morning on the night we were there. Had to evacuate with no other options from the hotel with putting us up somewhere else. Had to pay for another elsewhere

The bedrooms are outdated. Would definitely benefit from a refresh with some brighter linens and new flooring. Breakfast could have used some more options.

Location was very convenient. The facility seemed quite new. Service items in the room seemed to be somewhat lacking. Items such as shampoo, soap, etc were very small and were not always replenished. Coffee in the room was also not replenished sufficiently. Overall a good place to stay but they need to work a little harder on the small things.

This was a stop over between destinations. When travelling it is important to us have a comfortable bed, get a good rest, feel safe and get in some food before hitting the road. This property met our needs. The front desk person was pleasant and welcoming. We’d stay again.

The front desk staff were extremely nice and welcoming. The hotel is new and clean. The only thing I didnt like were that the mattresses were very firm and not comfortable for me.

Bed was too firm to a point of being uncomfortable. Room had a fairbit of trafic noise and had to turn off the heating / cooling as it had a sqeeky noise from the blower. Breakfast was mediocre, eggs were cold, sausage was not labeled if beef or pork, oatmeal was not fresh made but instant.

The woman at check in was really friendly; easy and quick check in. After that, there were a lot of little issues but the final straw was the blood stains on the bedside lamps shade and the hair *all* over the bathroom. When I decided to leave early, the woman at the desk was aggressive and super rude. It felt unnecessary.

Dishonest and sneaky! When i booked on Expedia, I checked the pet option to see if there were any fees, there was none listed, even though i selected that i had a pet So i get to the hotel to check in and the desk person says there is a $30 fee for each pet. I explained that I checked Pet option on Expedia, she said its a local fee, not anything to do with Expedia. She said ok when i explained again, leading me to believe there would be no charge. then when i checked out there was a fee of $30 for extra purchases. Im not sure who I am most disappointed in; Expedia for not saying there was a fee, or the sneaky hotel owners adding separate fees for ‘local charges’

windows in the room were dirty with fingerprints at ~ waist height so obviously from a child-we didn't have a child with us so had to be from previous tenant at some time and the sink in the bath room had water spots on the tap that easily wiped off.

Room was fine. Clean and pleasant but the customer service person I checked in with was horrible. Unfriendly. Rude. No smile. No social interaction capacity…. Or just not interested.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Comfort Inn Merritt, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations in every way! The friendly staff at the front desk made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. A special mention goes to Mr. Singh, who went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. We encountered him in the elevator, and he took the time to ask if everything was okay with our stay - a thoughtful gesture that truly made us feel valued. The breakfast spread was delicious and offered a great start to our day. Overall, I would highly recommend the Comfort Inn Merritt as the best hotel in the city. Close to the Hwy and and had good food options

I stayed because I got tired driving and because of the time I had to pay for 2 nights, or sleep in my car.

The hotel is not busy, only few visitor and they gave us 2nd floor room without a view. The room windows faces the hotel front building structure so it is blocking the view. We were so disappointed.

There are very few decent motels in Merritt. This is one..and the only one we'll stay at going forward. Staff are so nuce, everything is clean, fresh and modern.

Our room was quiet and spacious. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The bathroom and shower were in great condition. The hallways were wide and bright. In the breakfast nook, china dishes and stainless steel cutlery were provided, rather than the typical paper plates and plastic cutler. We will return.

Nice new hotel, great views over the Nicola Valley( looking south), eateries not to far away, walkable to several. Rooms large, big showers nice & clean.

Property was very clean and comfortable

Our stay at Comfort Inn & Suites in Merritt B.C. was good. Staff were good. Only real complaint was the air conditioning was noisy in our room. I was going to tell the staff next morning , but forgot when we left. My main complaint was Hotels .com. It was Friday August 30. I had my wife check on line and it appeared there were hardly any rooms left in Merritt. We were tired, travelled all day from Red Deer AB going to Vancouver, so I asked my wife to book it as it was getting later in the day. Turns out , I'm guessing it was only about 30% to 40% booked from what I could tell how full the parking lot was. Next day we went to Burnaby , did a short visit and turned around and headed back towards Alberta. It was late in the evening so we stopped in Merritt again. It was Saturday August 31 and the roads were busy. We stopped again at Comfort Inn & Suits and I thought we may not get a room as the parking lot was full. We did stop and the lady at the desk did fit us in, she was very pleasant and helpful. We did not book ahead this time, thus were billed directly from Comfort Inn & Suites. It was considerably cheaper than going through Hotels.com. In the future I will always check directly with the hotel first.

It looks good from outside the location is good.

but the room not worth the money no facilities even we asked for cutlery they said they don’t have cutlery in the hotel. The rooms smells so bad and we went to pool the water in the pool smells so bad too.
