Hotel Eigerblick

The location was excellent, with a beautiful view of the Eiger. The hotel was clean and within easy walking distance of the train station, town centre and cable car stations, which was perfect for our hiking trip.

Our room smelled of cigarette smoke, and although we had booked and paid for a room with a balcony, our room did not have one. We also missed having a terrace or outdoor seating area. Breakfast was very basic and not very varied, with even simple options such as muesli missing.

Frühstück prima, mit Rührei, Obst, Joghurt, Saft... Lage mit Eiger-Blick: topp. Anbindung in die Stadt mit Bus möglich.

Die Betten sind nachts auseinander gerutscht. Hier könnte man für Paare eine bessere Lösung finden.

Nous n’avons pas apprécié de ne pas pouvoir avoir un petit déjeuner à l’heure qui nous convenait à cause d’un groupe à l’effectif important qui, semble-t-il avait un niveau de prestation diffèrent.

Die Lage ist gut mit einer wunderbaren Aussicht.

Das Personal an der Rezeption spricht nur englisch und ist eher unfreundlich. Das Zimmer sollte dringend renoviert werden. Das Badezimmer ist in die Jahre gekommen.

Fantastic stay with an unbeatable view! The staff here are incredibly friendly and welcoming. For the price, it’s an amazing value in Grindelwald. The view from the balcony is absolutely stunning, and to top it all off, it had the best mattress I’ve ever slept on. Highly recommend!

Nothing as such

The beds were very comfortable, nice views, clean and overall had a nice stay. This hotel was a stop for us in between hiking, just for sleeping basically so for that, it was totally fine

There was no fridge in the room, which I found to be very weird.

Das Zimmer war sehr einfach und zweckmäßig eingerichtet, aber es war alles vorhanden, was man benötigt. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Blick auf den Eiger. Parkplätze waren vorhanden, kosten aber extra. Eine Gästekarte haben wir auf Nachfrage auch bekommen. Damit kann man die Busse im Ort kostenlos benutzen. Die Haltestelle ist direkt am Hotel. Das Frühstück ist sehr einfach gehalten, wir hätten uns noch Haferflocken oder Müsli gewünscht.

Die Busse fahren nur bis 19 Uhr, da das Hotel kein Abendessen anbietet, muss man nach dem Essen zurück zu Hotel laufen (25 Minuten).

这里的整体住宿还是相当的舒适的，而且酒店内的设备都很齐全，即使没有带餐盘刀叉，也可以向工作人员要。这里的服务还是相当令人满意的，工作人员的态度很好，酒店的早饭非常的好吃，品类非常丰盛，味道特别好，感动流泪。

但唯一不足的是，这里的蚊虫有一点多，晚上经常有飞蛾，甚至有蜘蛛和蟑螂

Der Ausblick vom Balkon war mega.

Das kein Bus direkt zum Terminal fährt.

Die Lage des Hotel war 20 Meter vom Bus und 10 Minute vom Dorf. Also Ideal für Skiferien. Hotel war Sauber, Personal war Freundlich und Hilfsbereit, Zimmer und Bad waren Sauber, alles nach unseren wünschen. Gute Auswahl beim Morgenessen. Parkplatz vor dem Hotel gegen eine Gebühr. Alles zu unserer Zufriedenheit.

Zimmer immer noch im Zustand wie Anfang 80-er Jahre. Brandflecken an Bettrückwand und Spinnweben an der Decke.

We received a update room, with much more space and a balcomy with view of the mountains. The parking is paied extra but they alowed us with no extra charge to let the car until 18pm next day, since they warned that is difficult to find a parking spot at cable car to grindelwald first.

Check-in is recommended to be before 20pm.

Das Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen; Renovationsbedürftig (Zimmer, Bad). Gutes Frühstück, Parkplatzreservation möglich und hat bestens geklappt. Freundlicher Empfang! Frühstückbedienung mürrisch (kein Deutsch)

Sehr schönes und geräumiges Zimmer, wubderschöne Sicht auf Grindelwald, Schreckhor, Eiger, kline Scheidegg und Männlichen. Frührstückbuffet sehr reichlich. Das Hotel verfügt lediglich über fünf Parkplätze nach dem Prinzip "First come, first served", es hat im Umkreis von 500 m öffentliche Parkplätze welche problemlos für CHF 11.00 pro Tag genützt werden können.

Unsere Erwartungen wurde bestens erfüllt!

Hotel Eigerblick to dobre miejsce na pobyt w Grindelwaldzie. Ładny widok na góry, czyste pokoje i spokojna okolica. Obsługa uprzejma, a śniadania wystarczające. Dobry stosunek jakości do ceny.

The view is nice depending on which room you stay.

Everything was very old and there was mold on the bathroom door. The showers leaked and the faucet nob was broken. The sheets and bed were really uncomfortable. The carpet in the hallway was dirty from years of use. You can hear noise from everything while in your room. No place to relax outside the room, no restaurant other than the breakfast that is served.

Hotel had een mooi uitzicht, ook tijdens het ontbijten geniet je van deze uitzicht. Dit zal vast wel meerdere hotels hebben. Was niet al te ver (lopend) van Grindelwald Bahnhof of Terminal.

Prijs / kwaliteit verhouding. Ik heb voor 2 man 3 nachten €850 betaald met enkel een ontbijt. Ja het is een winteraccomodatie die heel toeristisch is en duur kan zijn, maar een magere ontbijtkeuze, geen koelkast in je kamer, en tijdens schoonmaak was kamer heel simpel schoongemaakt en niet eens gestofzuigd.

Wenn auch ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommen....außergewöhnlich sauber!!! Immer wieder für ein verlängertes WE perfekt.

The perfect scenery in the rooms with balconies overlooking the Swiss village of Grindelwald makes your stay very special.

Das Personal und vor allen Dingen die blonde Frühstückskraft waren sehr zuvorkommend und höflich.

In anderen Städten wird so eine Unterkunft „Absteige“ genannt. Der Preis entspricht absolut nicht der Unterkunft. Alles ist abgenutzt und alt, selbst die Sitzpolster im essensbereit sind gerissen. Unsere Badezimmertüre ließ sich nicht schließen. Der Boden und das Mobiliar waren zum Hang abfällig. Ab morgens um 05:30 Uhr wurde man geweckt. Die Liste könnte unendlich weitergehen…

Balcony, my son said his bed was comfortable mine wasn’t rooms were not cleaned or maintain.

The hotel was not a hotel it was like a hostel, no reception person, parties every night all night loud music all night both night. No 1 working in the hotel after 8 in the evening so do groups that where staying in the hotel where visiting each other room all night.. knocking on doors.. very unsafe place to go with young family or small group of people.. the pictures of the hotel rooms are not the same when you arrive poor condition and not maintained. I would not recommend families or small groups to go. 25 minutes walk away from the main town.. breakfast the a poor selection and what was out was not fresh plus there was not many staff working to help or give feedback.

The most amazing location, completely uninterrupted views of Grindelwald! Balcony room was everything you need. Having a coffee or wine on the balcony watching the view. Absolutely stunning. Will 100% recommend to friends. Staff were extremely accommodating and friendly! Great help with anything we needed! The extremely large groups of Chinese tourists definitely make life hard for staff and they have zero consideration for other guests. Any of the negative reviews on the property tend to be Asian guests, however the staff are amazing, location is great and it just seems those particular guests have no manners or consideration for others. If you get the chance, visit this place!!

Breakfast wasn’t the best

The view from our room was amazing. The room was very spacious with a nice balcony and a tub. A small river was nearby. It was lovely to sit outside and listen to the flow of water. There was parking in front of the property. Helpful staff though they seemed like they needed extra help.

The bed was not comfortable. The place is a bit far from the train terminal but is served by a bus. 10 to 15 min walk though. The breakfast options were rather limited and not properly labelled. Most of the meats were pork, yet unlabelled. Some of the cutlery during breakfast did not look clean. No fridge in the room.

Good breakfast. Room had amazing view.
