Hotel Central Wolter - Grindelwald

We had a wonderful stay in Grindelwald. The hotel has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, with the charm of a traditional Swiss mountain hotel while still feeling well maintained and renovated. One useful tip for future guests: when we first arrived, it took us a little while to find the entrance. The reception is on the second floor, and you can take the elevator located inside the restaurant on the ground floor. Clearer signage would make arrival a little easier. Before our stay, the hotel thoughtfully emailed us to let us know that the Eidgenössisches Jugendjodelfest 2026 Grindelwald was taking place and that there might be some noise. We stayed in an apartment in the rear building and could barely hear anything at all. The soundproofing seemed very good, and we slept extremely well. The highlight was definitely the balcony and its incredible mountain view. The scenery was beautiful throughout the day, and in the evening, walking just a little further up the hillside behind the hotel, we could even see a lovely starry sky. Breakfast was very satisfying, with a good selection of breads, cheeses, cold cuts, juices and other drinks. Our apartment also had a kitchen; just note that kitchen utensils need to be collected from reception. The only small improvement would be the lighting in the room, which felt a little dim. The bed linen also had a slightly textured feel, but it was still comfortable and did not affect our sleep at all. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The beautiful mountain views, peaceful sleep, good breakfast and warm atmosphere made this a lovely and comfortable base for exploring Grindelwald. We would happily stay here again.

Great Location with easy access to the stores, lifts and train station. The breakfast was really good with lots of options so I didn’t have to go out.

シングル部屋でしたがバルコニーが付いていてアイガーの眺めは癒されました。　　年配の男性スタッフが親切で英語が上手く話せない私の話を一生懸命聞いて下さり幾つかレストランを紹介してくださり希望の料理（仔牛のクリーム煮）が食べられました。　　とても嬉しかった。

若い女性のフロントスタッフはあまり感じが良くなかった。

駅、バス停に近いロケーションが最高でした。一階でも部屋からアイガーをながめらます。自炊できるのも良いです。

Great location. We were a 5-10 min walk to main attractions in Grindelwald and 2 min walk to the train station for other attractions like the top of Europe. We had an apartment which I recommend to save money on eating out! Was excellent.

We stayed for five nights from the end of August to early September. The fan provided in the room was unfortunately not strong enough, and on some nights, my mum and I were sweating because the room felt quite warm. The sleeping arrangement could also have been more comfortable. There was only one pillow provided per bed instead of two, and the pillow itself was very soft and did not provide enough neck support. My mum experienced neck aches during the stay, which made sleeping less comfortable for her. It would have been helpful if firmer pillows or additional pillows had been provided. Another inconvenience was that the hotel reception and the building where our room was located were separate. There was no ramp for us to roll our luggage up to the room building, only stairs. As we were each travelling with heavy luggage weighing around 25–30 kg, I had to carry both my own luggage and my mum’s luggage up the stairs. The route between the buildings was also not fully sheltered, which made the arrangement even less convenient. The service could also be improved. While the staff generally carried out what was required, some interactions felt rather curt and transactional. It would have made the stay more pleasant if the staff had been a little more helpful, friendly and patient, rather than simply focusing on getting the job done. Breakfast was decent, but there was very little variety in the hot food throughout our five-night stay. The buffet served the same scrambled eggs and bacon every day. It would have been much better to have some rotation, such as sausages, sunny-side-up eggs, omelettes, or other hot breakfast options on different days.

Great location and excellent staff. The hotel is in a very convenient location, and the staff were really friendly and helpful.

The breakfast was okay, but not amazing, and there weren’t many options to choose from. Also, the rooms are quite small and a bit tight. Overall, a nice stay mainly because of the great location and wonderful staff.

緊鄰公車站，天剛亮就很吵，緊鄰馬路，路上行人聊天車輛經過都會干擾，覺得蠻吵的，與壯麗山景有些矛盾。不過好像整個grindelwald 都是房屋緊鄰馬路。

Отель очень хороший, очень вкусные завтраки, с преврсходным видом на горы. Все очень понравилось. Расположение очень близко к вокзалу и к центру города, что очень удобно если перемещаетесь общественным транспортом. Вернулась бы еще снова. Всем рекомендую

However I was disappointed with the value for money, considering we paid quite alot of money. Rooms are a good size, but could be cleaner, exhaust fan not working in bathroom & beds a bit too soft for me. Fan provided, but rooms were hot, windows & door can be left open but can be noisy since it's right on the main street across from the bus depot. Breakfast was limited. Restaurant downstairs very hot.

駅前でバスターミナルも真向かいという素晴らしい立地! お部屋もゆったりこざっぱりしており冷蔵庫も水回りも充分でした ベランダにロープを張って洗濯物も干せました 朝食も充分でした 私が滞在したときはたまたまかもしれませんが8割が日本人の個人客でした

重い荷物を持って入り口のドアを開けると長い階段がそびえているので暗澹たる思いになりますが、路面レストランの入口から入って奥へ進むとエレベーターがあってレセプションフロアに上がれます

Location was excellent, close to the train station and bus depot. The village is easily walkable from the hotel. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Loved the fresh breads. The room was nice, seems the bath was recently updated.

No Air Conditioning so we had to keep our windows open to get any air. The did provide a fan which helped a little. Usually not an issue leaving the windows open but if someone was on the large private balcony smoking it went right into our room and we had to close the windows and got very warm. The room 463 was not "technically" on the 4th floor, the lift takes you to the 4th floor but that room has it's own staircase that goes up to the 5th floor. Was fine on a daily basis but getting luggage up there and down was a challenge.

駅から徒歩5分程で、坂道ですがなだらかなのでスーツケースを押していても問題なかったです。ホテルの入り口を開けると階段しか見えませんが、正面のレストラン入り口から入るとエレベーターがあります。 8月のグリンデルワルドは朝は涼しくても昼間は30度以上になり、大変暑かったです。部屋にエアコンはなく、窓を開けて備え付けの扇風機を回して凌ぎました。 朝食はパン、ハムチーズやきゅうりトマト、スクランブルエッグなど美味しかったです。 家族4人で2人ずつ泊まれるコネクティングルームに泊まりましたが、洗面台もそれぞれの部屋にあり便利でした。また行くことがあったら利用したいです。

エアコンがついていない、ドライヤーが握っていないと風が出なくて使いづらかった。

房間插座不多其中有一個壞掉了，陽台有燈座但不會亮不知道是不是也壞了，一進門蒼蠅很多隻，夏季只有風扇很熱很悶，早餐無變化每天都是一樣。

立地がとても良かったです。 駅に近く、建国記念日の催しを客室のベランダから見られて、スーパーcoopが近く、便利でした。 朝食のナッツの入ったパン、クロワッサン、ベーコンなどがとても美味しかったです。

客室の値段が高いです、スイス全般に言えることですが。

地理位置超棒就在公車站對面，走路1分鐘到Coop超市，2分鐘到火車站，景觀超美，早餐豐富、好吃，飯店服務人員友善。 去年住很滿意，今年升等為景觀房，山景壯麗，更滿意！未來一定還會來住！

Bathroom was a little troublesome. Bath tub took a long time to drain. Hair dryer worked intermittently. No kettle in room but staff were helpful to provide one when asked. Got a little unlucky with the view by being in the back.

部屋からの眺めが最高！真ん前がシュレックホルン、右はアイガー、左はヴェッターホルン。駅のすぐ近くなのでグリンデルワルトを拠点として行動しやすかった。

バスタブがあったのはいいが湯をためるにはどうしたらよいか分からなかった。

Geen airco, maar koelt normaal voldoende af 's avonds. Heel kleine parking, maar wij hadden een plekje. Er wordt weinig of niet gestofzuigd/gedweild op de kamer/badmer.

Emplacement parfait en plein centre, pas besoin d'utiliser la voiture durant tout notre séjour. Buffet de pdj offrant un large choix Chambres communicantes par la salle de bains: très fonctionnel Chambres très calmes Amabilité et professionnalisme du personnel, particulièrement à la réception Parking

Very central, clean and excellent staff and lunch/evening restaurant. Enjoyes the terrace for evening mocktails overlooking the bus station and the view of the Eiger Mountain!
