Wir blieben 2 Nächte und unser Aufenthalt war wunderschön! Der Balkon war toll, morgens sind die Affen um uns herumgesprungen und wir konnten Vögel am Fluss beobachten! Das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend und bemüht, wir durften sogar zwei Fahrräder ausleihen, um eine Tour an einen See zum Fledermäuse beobachten. Auch das Abendessen war sehr lecker! Vielen Dank :)

The hotel is situated at the river and has a beautiful garden and pool. The hotel provided a packed breakfast for our safari which you can arrange with the owner. It was great that we could have a late checkout, so that we could shower after the safari. We had dinner and lunch at the hotel and that was very good.

Wir waren rundum zufrieden mit unserem Aufenthalt im Face River Inn. Die Lage ist wunderschön und lädt einfach dazu ein, zur Ruhe zu kommen und zu entspannen. Das gesamte Personal war unglaublich freundlich, herzlich und aufmerksam – man fühlt sich sofort willkommen. Unser Zimmer war sehr sauber und gepflegt, und auch das Essen hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir das tolle Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Für das, was hier geboten wird, ist es wirklich außergewöhnlich gut. Ein wunderschöner Ort mit herzlichen Menschen – wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Absolute Empfehlung! 🤍

Value for money! Beautiful location next to a small stream, with pool overlooking the river. You can spot a lot of birds as well around the pool area. Host is super helpful, he rented a lens for me from local camera store which I used in Yala safari. Would stay again if I happen to visit Tissa in future.

A beautiful place near Yala run by such a lovely friendly family, well kept, service and home cooked food is wonderful. They helped organise our safari with a packed breakfast and our transfer to our next stay.

Everything was lovely

The staff and experience could not have been better, I would highly recommend the Yala River Face Inn to everyone. Firstly, the staff were very accommodating to our late changes to the booking for dates and able to shift the dates back one night. A family operated business and the whole experience was welcoming and warm, with everyone so friendly. Secondly, the room was immaculately clean and the size was great. Travelling in a group of 4, we had ample space for everyone and the beds were very comfortable. The riverside pool was clean and was a great place to relax after a long day. They were able to organise safari for us and through the local connections we scored a great safari guide, able to see multiple rare animals that Yala is famous for. Some extra things to note were the convenience of everything. They organised the safari as mentioned but offered great food to eat in for breakfast and dinner which was one less thing to worry about. During departure they also organised our transfer to the next location at an affordable price. I would highly recommend this accommodation to everyone to book!

Personnel accueillant, nous n’avons pas tester le petit déjeuner mais nous avons dîner à l’hôtel et c’était excellent. Le cadre avec la piscine est très beau, nous avons séjourné dans cet hôtel pour faire le safari de Yala.

L’hôtel est superbe avec sa piscine vue sur le lac. La nourriture est très bonne. L’endroit est parfait pour se reposer malheureusement très prisé des familles nombreuses, ce qui a rendu notre séjour assez bruyant.

Las habitaciones y el baño eran muy amplios y estaba todo muy limpio. La cama era muy cómoda y la piscina para relajarse muy bien también. El desayuno abudante y el personal muy atento durante toda la estancia

Les points + sont tres grande chambre familiale, tres belle hôtel avec une belle vue. Le manager est tres gentil et serviable.

Les point - sont il y a un membre du personnel avec qui nous n arrivions pas a nous comprendre. Oui, mon anglais n est vraiment pas terrible mais ca se sentait que je l agacé. Et la personne a fait des commentaires a son collègue devant moi. Il manque un tapis de douche et des serviettes pour les mains. Le lit individuel n etait vraiment pas confortable, on s était le sommier tellement le matelas etait fin.

Spectaculair uitzicht op de tuin, het zwembad, de rivier en de prachtige natuur, waar je de hele dag vogels kunt spotten. We verbleven hier maar één nacht, maar hebben genoten van het heerlijke zwembad en de natuur. Ook fijn ruim terras op het balkon voor de kamers met voldoende zitgelegenheid. Prima kamers, goede airco en vriendelijk personeel.

Warme ontvangst, mooie tuin, lekker ontbijt, ontbijtpakket als je een safari doet.

Het hotel ligt in een mooi onderhouden, groene tuin met - zoals de naam doet vermoeden - uitzicht op de rivier. Het ligt aan een rustige weg, waardoor je niks merkt van druk verkeer. Wij hebben een eenvoudige kamer, maar alles was keurig schoon. Het personeel is heel vriendelijk en staat altijd voor je klaar. Ik had via hen ook de safari naar Yala geregeld. Het eten wat ze klaarmaken is prima op smaak.

Een ongelofelijke mooie plek om tot rust te komen. Heel behulpzame en vriendelijke mensen en een hele lekkere keuken. Jammer dat we er maar 1 nacht bleven.

De tuin is een oase van rust met veel verschillende fruitbomen. Het is direct gelegen aan de rivier en heeft een heerlijk zwembad. De kamer was comfortabel en de medewerkers erg vriendelijk. Het ontbijt was ook erg goed verzorgd. Het is gelegen op korte afstand van wat winkels, supermarkt.

Leuk zwembad met rivierzicht. Ook heel aangename tuin die veel schaduw biedt, wat absoluut welkom was.

Geen douche, enkel een bad. Naar ons gevoel wat opdringerig personeel, al was het waarschijnlijk vriendelijk bedoeld. Wat weinig plek om kleren op te bergen.

Dette er en perle. Personalet var helt utrolig imødekommende og serviceniveauet var i top. Der var rent og man kunne mærke at stedet havde personlighed og nogle mennesker som bare har skabt et helt særligt sted. Det ligger ud til floden, hvor dyrelivet og de mennesker som bor ved floden kan opleves. Maden var i top, god hjemmelavet mad og deres morgenmad er i særklasse. Det at der var udsogt fra poolen til floden, hvor kingfisher, påfugle, krokodiller, skildpadder og meget, kan observeres er et kæmpe plus. Dette kan i den grad anbefales. Kommer vi på de kanter igen, så bliver det her🙏😊

El que més ens ha agradat d'aquest hotel ha estat, sens dubte, el seu personal. Tots han estat molt amables, atents i professionals, fent-nos sentir com a casa des del primer moment. També volem destacar les instal·lacions, molt ben cuidades i confortables, així com l'entorn que les envolta, especialment la piscina i els espais exteriors, que conviden a relaxar-se i gaudir de l'estada.

Sincerament, no hi ha res destacable que no ens hagi agradat. La nostra experiència ha estat molt positiva i tot ha complert, o fins i tot superat, les nostres expectatives.

Está un poco a desmano de todo, el sitio más cercano para cenar estaba a unos 15 minutos andando por una carretera sin farolas ni nada, se aprovechaban un poco de ello ofreciendo ellos cena a unos precios desorbitados. Merece la pena andar los 15 minutos

Hemos tenido una estancia maravillosa en Yala River Face Inn. El entorno es precioso, la comida estaba deliciosa y todo el equipo fue increíblemente amable y atento desde el primer momento. Nos organizaron el safari, nos llevaron a visitar algunos lugares cercanos que queríamos conocer y también nos ayudaron a gestionar nuestro autobús de vuelta, acompañándonos hasta la parada y esperando con nosotros hasta que llegó. Son detalles que marcan la diferencia. Estamos muy agradecidos por el cariño y la hospitalidad con la que nos trataron. Sin duda, recomendamos este hotel a cualquiera que visite la zona y esperamos volver algún día.

We had a wonderful stay with my family. The room was clean andncomfortable. We especially loved the beautiful garden setting, which created a relaxing atmosphere. Our kids had a great time enjoying the swimming pool. The staffs and owner were friendly and very helpful in organising our safari trip. Ordered breakfast on our last day and we were given a feast. Breakfast was delicious. Thank you.

Die ganze Anlage ist sehr schön und sehr schön gelegen... abseits vom Trubel der Strassen. Der Pool mit Blick auf den Fluss ist eine Augenweide! Die Leute sind sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Das Essen hat gut geschmeckt und war auch vom Preis passable.

Wir haben zwei Nächte dort verbracht, aber leider wurde unser Apartment nicht gereinigt, stattdessen wurden die Sicherungen der Klimaanlagen ausgeschaltet, so das die Zimmer schön warm waren als wir von der Safari zurück kamen. Auch finde ich es schade das es nur eine dünne Decke zum schlafen gibt was aber in Sri Lanka wohl normal ist. ACHTUNG!!! In der Beschreibung steht es gibt eine Küche ... JA aber die ist neben dem Pool und gehört zur Küche wo das Essen zubereitet wird... sollte man dazuschreiben... Die Laute Musik die es dann am Tag / Nachmittag gab war leider gar nicht unser Geschmack und zu laut... aber geschenkt!

We loved this accommodation, They helped us to change our room as we had an infant with us. Also the place is so beautiful we can stay in the property for more than a day with no plans of sightseeing. It was very relaxing and we loved our time in this property. As expected near the river and tropical area, need to find ways to be safe from insects. But we are choosing to stay close to nature, so it comes along with that :)

川沿いのプール付きのホテル。バルコニーから川を見ていたらクロコダイルが通り過ぎました！ 徒歩圏内にお店もあります。昼は歩いてローカル向けの食堂で食べ、朝と夜はホテルで食べました。食事は観光客向けという感じでしたが美味しかったです。 好きな時にコーヒーやティーもオーダーできるので、夕方子供がプールで泳いでいる間に大人はプールサイドでコーヒーを飲みました。 スタッフも英語があまり得意でない人もいましたが、みんな親切です。

Fantastisch! Alles war hervorragend. Der Pool mit Blick auf den Fluss war ideal. Sowohl die Küche als auch der Service waren erstklassig. Ich bestellte gebratenen Fisch und einen Mojito. Beides war ausgezeichnet. Die Aussicht war ebenfalls großartig.

Mooie accommodatie, we hadden het treehouse, was niet groot maar wel veel privacy met uitzicht op tuin, zwembad en rivier. Ontbijt was heerlijk, personeel was heel vriendelijk en stond altijd klaar voor,

De locatie was prachtig met uitzicht naar het zwembad, de rivier en de mooi onderhouden tuin. De kamer was heel ruim, wel iets donker, maar we waren vooral buiten. De familie is heel warm en vriendelijk. Ze regelden een goede safari voor ons met ervaren chaffeur en ook het vevoer naar de volgende bestemming. Het vervoer was heel comfortabel en we hebben genoten van het gesprek met de eigenaar over de cultuur en tuinieren. Tip: eten kan je bestellen bij het hotel en daar eten, als je met kinderen op tijd wil eten geef dan een uurtje eerder door wat je wil eten.

Le personnel est aux petits soins, toujours souriant et très attentionné. Nous avons également réservé notre safari directement via l’hôtel : l'organisation était impeccable et le prix très intéressant par rapport à ce qu'on peut trouver ailleurs. Une adresse incontournable à Tissa !

C’est le paradis sur terre!!!!! Des chambres spacieuses, confortables, climatisation et ventilateur, eau chaude, bonne wifi. Plusieurs endroits pour se poser, hammacs, transats... Un personnel absoluement incroyable!! Toujours au petit soin, ils cuisinent sur place de très bons repas. On peut faire laver son linge. Ils sont très souriants et sympathiques. Ils étaient très attentionnés avec notre fils de 5 ans. Ils nous ont organisé un safari de la veille pour le lendemain avec des prix très attractifs, 2 chauffeurs absolument incroyables, nous avons vu un léopard qui attaquait sa proie! Une piscine à débordement avec une vue somptueuse sur la rivière, des singes qui sautent dans les arbres, des oiseaux incroyables, dans un jardin très bien entretenu. Nous étions littéralement tristes de partir. Si nous avions pu, nous serions restés bien plus longtemps.

We loved everything about our stay and would definitely recommend Yala River Face Inn. All the staff are so friendly and cannot do enough for you. They all work so hard. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful with lots of nature and wildlife around you. It is very well looked after. The pool is fantastic, overlooking the river. We spent our afternoons by it, following morning safaris. There are cold soft drinks, beer, water and ice available and a menu with breakfast, lunch and dinner options. All the meals we had were very nice. The room was lovely, clean and comfortable room with good air-conditioning and a ceiling fan. The shower was powerful with hot/cold setting. The bed and pillows were comfy. It's nice and quiet at night for a good night's sleep. Also parking space was available. There was a supermarket 5-10 minute walk away, if required. It was my partners birthday whilst here, which came up in conversation. They went above and beyond in helping make his birthday a memorable one. Thanks to all staff, we really enjoyed our stay.

We liked everything.

Che dire… non volevo più andarmene via da lì. Un posto incantato nella pace più assoluta, le foto non rendendo la bellezza di quel posto, oltre le aspettative che già erano alte vedendo le foto e le recensioni. Lo staff ed il proprietario estremamente gentili, disponibili, sorridenti e attenti ad ogni richiesta e necessità, soprattutto il ragazzo alla reception. Appena fuori dal caos cittadino ma raggiungibile in pochi minuti a piedi. La comodità è che ti cucinano quello che vuoi ad ogni ora e puoi mangiarlo in piscina o nel giardino esterno che è decisamente il più bello e curato che ho visto in tutti i miei soggiorni in Sri Lanka. Standard davvero altissimo e molto vicino all’Occidente. La cosa bellissima è che puoi noleggiare da loro la bicicletta per guardare i due laghi e quanto più possibile vicino al resort. Spettacolare tutto!

Loved it all so we went back for another 2 nights when our flights were cancelled. For the 2nd time we booked the tree house room which was great. Staff were very very friendly, sometimes a bit much for me! But they were only being kind so not a problem.

The smell of the Tree House room. It was an air freshener smell but extremely strong and I would have preferred not to have had to smell it. A kettle would also have been very useful and a small fridge. (But we were able to make use of the hotel's fridge)

Nous y étions en famille avec nos deux filles de 5 et 8 ans. Nous avons dormi ici pour effectuer le parc de Yala qui est à une demi-heure de route. La chambre est parfaite pour 4. Le cadre est exceptionnel (le long de la rivière) avec une piscine appréciable.

Yala River Face Inn is een fijne, rustige plek direct aan de rivier met een mooie tuin, een veranda waar je kunt zitten om een spelletje te doen of een hapje te eten en een lekker zwembad met comfortabele ligstoelen en parasols rondom. De accommodatie heeft een kleine kaart met lekkere gerechten (ontbijt, lunch en diner). De eigenaar en zijn staff zijn erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Zo hebben ze de safari naar Yala NP geregeld, suggesties gedaan voor bezienswaardigheden in de omgeving (vogels spotten bij Debarawewa Lake en vleermuizen bij het Fruit bat viewing point). Ze hebben zelfs fietsen voor ons geregeld zodat we er zelf opuit konden…! 😃

Wirklich tolle und wunderschöne Anlage mit Pool direkt am Fluss. Dort kann man mit ein wenig Glück sogar Krokodile sehen. Unser Zimmer war perfekt ausgestattet (Klimaanlage, separates WC & Dusche). Man kann sich jederzeit Getränke oder Essen bestellen und alles wird frisch zubereitet. Dadurch fühlt man sich schon fast wie im Luxusresort. Alles, was wir bestellt hatten, war einwandfrei und wirklich lecker. Wir hatten auch eine Safari über die Unterkunft gebucht, alles hat problemlos funktioniert und die Safari war wirklich gut. Ein Highlight sind die Mitarbeiter und die Familie, der das Hotel gehört. Sehr herzlich, hilfsbereit und immer freundlich und bemüht! Der Chef hat uns am Abreisetag sogar noch zur Bushaltestelle in Tissa gefahren.

The property is set off the main road, next to the river, in quiet and serene spot. The property has small pool with banana chairs with umbrellas and hammocks to relax after day of exploring. Room was spacious and clean with 2 big comfy beds. Bathroom clean too. The staff is very attentive, happy to help organize tours or transport. They run little restaurant on site where they cook meals from scratch. We had delicious soups for lunch and curry for dinner. They were happy to accommodate for our dietary limitations.

Chambre petite, le mobilier annoncé n'était pas présent dans la chambre nous avons du demander une séchoir pour les serviette, pas de table dans la chambre, uniquement dans les parties communes. Bonne pression dans la douche uniquement le premier jours, il semblerait qu'il y ai eu un problème ensuite... nous avons demandé a faire une machine, le paiement se fait séparément de la facture de la chambre, cela ne nous à pas été expliqué, une femme nous a suivi dans la rue pour qu'on lui fasse le règlement. Nous avons demandé à quitter la chambre à midi mais les clients suivant sont arrivés plus tot que prévu nous avons été sortie de la chambre pour qu'ils puissent la refaire. Pour terminer règlement par carte possible mais avec des frais exorbitants. Au final nous n'avons pas eu un aurevoir à notre départ.

Bella struttura con una bella piscina che si affaccia sul fiume. Anche il giardino vicino piscina è molto curato. Proprietario molto gentile e cordiale, che ci ha organizzato un fantastico safari. Vi consiglio di affidarvi a loro per il Safari allo Yala, perché riescono ad avere degli ottimi prezzi. Non posso valutare la colazione perché ci sono stato solo una notte e ho fatto il safari e quindi sono partito alle 4:30 di mattina. Però posso valutare la cena della sera prima, è stata molto buona e abbondante e ad un prezzo in linea con il posto, vi consiglio di cenare lì a bordo piscina nella tranquillità del loro giardino. Se nel Safari volete vedere il leopardo, vi consiglio di fare il safari dell’intera giornata, è leggermente più costoso ma ne vale la pena perché il leopardo si muove solo nel pomeriggio.

Great location situated near the national park. Staff were incredibly friendly and even drove us and picked us up from a restaurant in the evening. We booked a safari through the staff and had so much fun and importantly saw a leopard! Great stay, will definitely be back at some point.

We had one of the ground floor rooms and it’s a pretty typical room you get in Sri Lanka. No complaints but not amazing. What is amazing is the dinner we had here (the grilled chicken and dahl soup were great) and the full-day Yala tour we booked with the hotel. It was an early start (4:30 am) but we were third jeep into the park so we dodged most of the crowd, and we’re glad we did the full day because we had a great sighting of a leopard in a tree in the afternoon.

Budynek, obsługa, posiłki, internet rewelacja. Oczywiście to nie Ritz, ale na miejscu było wszystko co jest potrzebne. Basen niewielki, ale spełnił swoją rolę. Hotel zorganizował dla nas wycieczkę do Yala, obsługa hotelu poleciła kilka atrakcji w okolcy (np Flying Foxes), a w rzecze i jej okolicy widzieliśmy krokodyle, tukany i wiele innych zwierząt. Sam budynek hotelu jest niezwykle ładny, więc będziemy wspominać ten pobyt w samych superlatywach. Jedynym minusem była ilość komarów wieczorem, ale wybierają hotel przy rzece trzeba się z tym liczyć. Na plus na pewno zachowanie obsługi, która rozstawiała różne środki odstraszające komary.

Chętnie następnym razem wybrałbym jeden z większych pokoi, które prezentowały sie rewelacyjnie.

Very tidy and clean accommodations. The accommodations were cosy and well-maintained. Thank you for the welcome drink; the staff was very polite and helpful. The food was freshly prepared and handmade. For those travelling on a safari, there are extra bonus points for the early-morning takeaway meal.

Tolle Unterkunft am Fluss mit Pool. Sehr liebevoll und sehr nette Menschen. Haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und haben für morgens yala ein Frühaufspaket bekommen. Das Frühstück vor Ort war richtig gut Perfekt für uns alles
