Yala Safari Green Home Stay

The room was actually nice and the staff were very friendly.

The rooms themselves are large, tidy, and spacious with attached bathrooms, which was a positive aspect of the stay. The owner was also friendly and welcoming.

The accommodation is not an entire home as described in the booking. Only the upstairs rooms are available for guests, while the owner’s family lives downstairs. However, there were several issues that made the stay less comfortable than expected, especially considering the price of LKR 25,000. Basic facilities were missing. There was no coffee, milk, or even drinking water available in the property. There was also no microwave, electric kettle, or jug to boil water, which made it difficult even to prepare a hot drink. The lack of drinking water was one of the main concerns during our stay. Air conditioning was only available in two rooms and required an additional charge. Since the rooms available to us did not include A/C, the price did not feel reasonable for what was provided. The listing gave the impression of a more fully equipped accommodation. Privacy was also limited. The upstairs area is not completely closed or separated from the downstairs living area where the owner’s family stays. Because of this, there was quite a bit of noise coming from downstairs at times. Parking space also had to be shared with the owner’s family. In the bathrooms, only one soap was provided and there were no additional toiletries such as shampoo or conditioner. These are small things but are usually expected for accommodation at this price range. And No free wifi. Overall, the rooms are spacious and the host is friendly, but the facilities, amenities, and level of privacy did not fully match the price or expectations from the listing.

Habitació molt gran i neta. Teníem poc temps i vam poder sopar i esmorzar a la mateixa casa. L'home ens va fer de taxi l'endemà. També et poden organitzar el safari de yala.

No hi havia mosquitera al llit.

Erg schoon en goede faciliteiten

Hemos estado solo una noche y nos ha parecido poco. Es familiar y su atencion es excepcional Tambien tienen jeep para safaris, esto no lo podemos valorar por que ya veniamos con todo un paquete contratado. Pero si repito lo contrataría con ellos , una familia muy entregada a sus huespedes y su mujer tiene la casa impoluta y ademas es una muy buena cocinera, cenamos alli y fue una muy buena idea.

Por poner alguna pega, nos falto una papelera en la habitación y un poco mas de luz en el lavabo

Sehr sauberes Zimmer mit Bad, AC, Ventilator und Balkon. Das Ehepaar ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit (Empfehlungen für Arzt und Shopping). Wir haben unsere Safari über die Unterkunft gebucht und waren zufrieden. Das Haus liegt bei einer Busstation (nicht Bus Terminal).

Die Familie bietet auch Frühstück, warme Mahlzeiten und Snacks an. Wir fanden die Preise etwas teuer.

The family who hosted us we're very kind and attentive. The rooms were clean with a balcony. Dinner was delicous and fresh.

New, very clean room with comfortable bed and a fresh bathroom. There are balcony on the room and a nice veranda with a wiev over a nice garden. The rooms are on the second floor of a beautiful villa with separate entrance (the kind family lives on first floor). If you have some questions they will help you! Close to the bus, but the villa is on a small, calm road. Very priceworty!

Clean very friendly owner

Nothing but a waste bin 2 glasses and a spare toilet roll would have made it perfect

The place was very clean. And the room was big. There is free parking and the owner is a good person.

No hot water! Again, no hot water 🤦‍♂️. The location is far from everything. There was a lot of noise from the monkeys on the roof of the house.

Really good accomodation, beautiful home and large room. They arranged a cheap and wonderfull safari to Yala national park. We loved our driver and even saw leopards!

The room and the entire house was very new and extremely clean! The family was extremely kind and helpful, organized us a great safari at a reasonable price and cooked some of the best dinners we had in Sri Lanka

Disturbing to privacy…

We stayed here one night . It was really nice stayed in Tissa. Very closed the town and very owner is very kind . They arranged the Yala safari tour for us and we saw lot of animals .very good driver and comfortable jeep. Highly recommend
