I liked that it’s close to the office and that there was hot water available.

The most concerning issue was the level of dirt underneath and behind the bed. I misplaced one of my earrings and, while looking for it, I moved the bed to check underneath and behind it. I was shocked to find a significant amount of dirt as though it was not cleaned thoroughly. Some of the fittings, such as the drawers, could use refurbishment, the room was otherwise decent and comfortable enough for an overnight stay.

Arrived and my room was only being cleaned at 17:30 in the afternoon. The kitchen had stains, the cutlery was dirty, had to clean the microwave before using it. Couldn’t sit on the couch as it was dusty. The floor was sticky. Dirty, had housekeeping at 16:30 in the afternoon although the sign was put up at 8:00am to request cleaning. They let delivery people roam around.

Most staff members were kind and helpful Rooms are big and spacious lots of room for my 3 year old to run around Cooking facilities available made it easy to make meals and save. Location not too far from Sandton City

Water was leaking out of the bathtub reported it but wasn't fixed during our stay Water was also moving slowly in the shower so would sometimes flood the shower this was also jot attended to. On one of the days our room was only cleaned after1700 hrs and the house keeper who cleaner was not friendly she didn't put towels and we had to call reception several times and we only got them around 8pm after waiting for hours

The integrity of the employees is commendable. My phone was returned to me after I inadvertently left it in the room upon check-out.

The cleanliness of the premises, including the floors, kitchen, and bathroom, was unfortunately not up to a satisfactory standard. It really needs a deep clean!

Affordable and mostly clean

Facilities are worn out. Half the power sockets don’t work. Couches in all 3 rooms I have stayed in need of replacement. Pillows are paper thin. TVs have the slowest tv box i have seen in my life . Playing a series on Netflix takes about 10 minutes to navigate to it because of how slow it is and then it buffers every 15 seconds.

The staff was quite friendly and welcoming easy to talk to.

There’s nothing to like

Everything, what a shitty place. Filthy room with dead flies and cockroaches, bad smell coming from the hallways. Electricity kept going on and off no feedback or notice from the staff. Had booked for 3 nights, left the following day.

I honestly was impressed for the price it is absolute value for money!!! It is spacious, clean and extremely accessible. The staff was warm, friendly and helpful. I was impressed overall.

I asked for an iron, and it took forever to come, but that didn't dent the entire experience. But I do request they do better.

The aircon barely kept the room at room temperature despite being on the entire stay on its max setting. I called the front desk and they said it’s working as it should. This was in the dead of winter so it was very unacceptable. It is was a miserably cold stay. One of the lights in the room had a dead globe, again, I notified the front desk and nothing happened.

I really enjoy staying at this hotel. Friendly and professional staff. Every time we visit Joburg we stay at the Mint Hotel Sandhurst because of the comfort and peace it offers for us as a family. I would really recommend it.😊

Firstly, they sent me message on the day that I was meant to arrive telling me that I needed to pay a deposit fee in addition to a the booking fee that I’d already paid for which was not stated when I booked or paid. Check in starts at 14:00 and I arrived just before 15:00 and they told me my room isn’t ready yet. I had obligations to get to so the organised to put me in a hotel room (instead of the 1 bedroom apartment that I had originally booked )for my partner and I to freshen up. They said they would move our bags once the room booked. When my partner and I got back from our obligations, the staff on night shift was not aware of the mess up and could not locate the room that our bags were moved to. This took another 20 mins at 1am to resolve. Lastly there is so much noise from the road and staff talking loudly in the corridors, you can barely sleep. Overall, would not book here again.

The building needs to be managed better. The mint Greenside was the best one

The room is spacious and with a fridge and microwave which made it easy to get dinner delivered and warmed up.

The loud noise from the upper floors was unbearable. As a light sleeper it was really difficult to catch some sleep with all the shouting and screaming by drunk youngsters.

I liked the friendly staff, Martin and the others were very helpful when bringing problems to their attention.

Stricter access control should be implemented, some guests come in late at night intoxicated and making noise. Better facilities management principles should apply. The cupboards in room 210 are falling apart and the shower head was faulty/blocked causing the water to spray over the glass onto the toilet area and wall. When I was moved to room 219 the shower outlet was blocked. Rooms were serviced after 14h00 and the cutlery left on the drying rack instead of being dried and packed away.

The couch needs to be replaced

No basics in the room like dressing table, hair dryer, coffee table and a spare couch or chair. Bathroom not clean. Dirty wall tiles. Entrance door uses a key and door was jamming and needed a huge push to open and made a loud noise. Lift floors as well as hallway not cleaned. Also kids are allowed to run around and make noise up to midnight

The room was very big, spacious and had everything I needed for comfortability. The place is 8min away from Sandton mall. The area feels very safe. The staff is very friendly. I was with my daughter and she liked it there.

Check in took long with no explanation The room was missing 1 pillow and we had 1 towel. Long hair was found on one pillow, we didn't have long hair. The receptionist was not eager to assist. Requested a room on a higher floor was told that rooms are pre allocated and can't be changed. Receptionist didn't even smile we didn't feel welcome at all. The night Auditor was helpful and brought us towels no pillow though.

the room we were given in the basement had a strong sewage smell and was noisy due to maintenance staff. Although we were offered a room on a higher floor, the bathroom quality was disappointin the shower leaked water onto the floor, and the sink didn't drain properly. Overall, for the price paid, I expected a better standard.
