Such a lovely place to come back to everytime. Very clean, comfortable, food is delicious and staff is amazingly friendly and helpful!

The landlord shouldn’t be in this industry, he took absolutely no interest in us, showed us to the room, very direct in his manner and voice, didn’t crack a smile. At breakfast the next morning, his manner is so sharp and direct. I asked a question when he was filing up the water for T pots and he turned and gave me a filthy look. He’s just in the wrong profession. The lady who works in restaurant the night before was so so lovely, polite, friendly & over and above. We had the family room, DONT OPEN THE WINDOW, cooking smells from the kitchen fan , it stank !

Loved the position for exploring the Cotswolds. Beautiful old pub, great food. We had a family room which gave us the room. Very comfortable bed.

Not much other than most places where parking is hard, but we managed each night.

Bedroom was a little smaller than we expected and we had been upgraded Bathroom was tiny and very tight to sit on loo, there had obviously been water leaks before. Bathroom door didn't close Bedside lights flickered and then stopped working In second bedroom which was a better size We asked for a travel cot for a baby and no bedding was provided so she had to sleep in the bed.

Friendly staff, especially the lady this morning on Breakfast service just very happy and welcoming. Nothing too much trouble. Food was great!

Bathroom was a little small/snug, room door lock was a little stuck every time we left the room had to jiggle it until it eventually locked.

Probably just a bit too far out for what we wanted but would definitely stay again.

Camera piccola (non c’era nemmeno lo spazio per aprire le valigie). Non abbiamo potuto aprire le finestre prima delle 23 e abbiamo dovuto richiuderle alle 7 perché la stanza si affacciava su un qualche tipo di impianto rumoroso (e poco bello da vedere). La stanza e le scale hanno la moquette (molto comune in UK ma poco igienico). La struttura non ha il parcheggio, bisogna sperare di trovare posto lungo la strada, altrimenti il parcheggio più vicino è a 200 metri. Abbiamo cenato presso la struttura ma abbiamo dovuto aspettare più di un’ora per il cibo

Ein authentisches kleines Hotel in den Cotswolds, liebevoll restauriert und renoviert. Die Küche bietet regionale Gerichte, auf sehr hohem Niveau zubereitet zu absolut fairen Preisen. Unser Zimmer war klein, aber sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Das Bad frisch renoviert und groß. Super englisches Frühstück Alle Mitarbeiter super freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Wir haben auf der Rückseite geschlafen. Dort ist das Abluftgebläse der Küche zu hören. Hat uns aber nicht sehr gestört.

La nostra camera affacciava sulla cappa della cucina che rendeva impossibile stare con le finestre aperte sia per il forte rumore sia per gli odori di fritto che entravano in camera. Comunque ci sono venuti incontro dandoci dei ventilatori e spegnendo la cappa alle 21:00.

El desayuno, la ubicación, el servicio y la estética y mantenimiento de la habitación.

Las vistas de la habitación. Y nos pareció algo caro. Pero teniendo en cuenta que el nivel es bastante bajo, por los precios que tienen en los alojamientos en este país, no estuvo mal.

Beautiful room, staff were friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Food was great, great selection at breakfast and cooked to order.

Breakfast is amazing. Great location in the middle of the village so we could have some walk to see beautiful cottages around the place.

Some dust by the seat at windows. There will be some guests actually sitting there too. So please dont overlook the tiny details.

La camera assegnata era troppo rumorosa affacciava su una strada trafficata. La prima mattina siamo stati svegliati alle 7 dal camion della spazzatura, la seconda mattina alle 6.30 dal camion che ci segnava fusti di birra

Breakfast was excellent and service was brilliant.

It was quite noisy - we could hear the next room showering. The shutters meant that light filled the room as soon as the sun came up. Could do with curtains as well to make it darker.

The staff were friendly.

The rooms were tired and dirty. We had to get the rooms vacuum cleaned after checkin, the bathrooms were not cleaned throughly. Unfortunately also there was a very bad smell from the kitchen exhaust when we opened the windows so we couldn't get fresh air at night.

Mooie authentieke pub, vriendelijke ontvangst en fijne schone kamer, ideaal voor 4 personen (met 2 badkamers)!

Een badkamer was erg klein, het toilet zat echt tussen de douche en de muur gepropt. Niet fijn om op te zitten. Jammer dat je geen gratis chocomel of cappuccino kunt krijgen tijdens het ontbijt. Dit zijn tegenwoordig toch gewoon standaard drankjes!

Waren für 2 Nächte hier, um die umliegenden Orte der Cotswolds zu besuchen, sehr ruhige dennoch zentrale Lage. Der Besitzer und das Team waren außerordentlich freundlich, hilfsbereit und gut gelaunt, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die beiden Zimmer waren super ausgestattet, das Abendessen und insbesondere Frühstück waren sehr lecker. Das Interieur und Design ist ein Mix aus urig-gemütlich und modern, die Wiese vor dem Pub war immer gut besucht und es war sehr gesellig

The village and the pub are charming, and the property has plenty of traditional Cotswolds character. The staff were excellent throughout my stay, friendly, welcoming and very helpful. They were definitely the highlight of my visit.

Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the accommodation itself. Cleanliness is one of the main factors I judge a stay on, and the room fell well below expectations. The bathroom wasn’t properly cleaned, as I found dark hairs in the shower, and one of the shower fittings came away in my hand. I also have a dust allergy and spent much of the night sneezing and wheezing because the room was so dusty. The fan was covered in thick dust, making it unusable as it would simply have blown dust around the room. The extractor fan and corner skirting boards were heavily coated in dust and grime, suggesting this wasn’t an isolated oversight but a lack of deep cleaning over a considerable period. The bed was comfortable, although it was made up with a heavy winter duvet despite the warm summer weather. The shower pressure was acceptable. One other downside was breakfast being served only between 8:30 am and 10:00 am. This is quite a limited window and isn’t practical for business travellers who need to leave earlier. Overall, while the location, pub and staff were all very good, the rooms would benefit from a thorough deep clean and some refurbishment. I’m sure many tourists would appreciate the property’s quaint charm and character, but for me, the standards fell short of what I think is acceptable for cleanliness.

The price of the food in the evening was a bit on the higher side. The bathroom doors can't be locked. But that's the only two things and that's if we're looking for something

Hôtel très agréable et très bien situé, notamment pour visiter les Costwolds ou Oxford. Nous avons mangé au restaurant de l’hôtel où de bons plats sont proposés. On peut garer sa voiture dans une des rues qui entourent l’hôtel. Le personnel est agréable !

La salle de bains est minuscule et la douche inonde la pièce si on ne fait pas attention ! Il est dommage que le petit-déjeuner ne soit servi qu’à partir de 8H30 : cela fait démarrer la journée un peu tard !

We stayed at The Masons Arms for a family wedding that was happening in the next village. Our accommodation provided everything we needed. All of our rooms were comfortable and relaxing and the breakfast the morning was freshly prepared and very enjoyable. Tanya the booking manager kept in touch from the time of booking. She was able to recommend taxi companies for us as well.

We stayed in Room 7. Presumably the room next door was room six. When they entered the bathroom, on multiple occasions the extractor fan was very loud and it spoilt a good nights rest. As we had to drive to Scotland the following day, it was not conducive to a great night's kip!

Grande giardino davanti l'hotel, empatia personale, colazione buonissima con scelta, prpdotti da bagno di qualità compresa la cuffia per la doccia in omaggio. Letti comodi. Abbiamo mangiato anche al ristorante e si mangia molto bene.

We traveled to the Cotswolds with our four children. We had two rooms at the Mason Arms and ate dinner there as well. We absolutely loved our stay! It was clean, charming, and the service was exceptional.

Wir haben zwei sehr schöne Tage im „The Masons Arms“ verbracht. Das Frühstück war sehr reichhaltig und lecker. Das Abendessen war aussergewöhnlich gut! Besonders das Dessert. Der Service war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam.

La taille des lits . 135 cm c est un peu juste surtout dans la chambre 6 avec un sol pentu .. :) Mais la chambre était très cosy et confort .

Gezellig ogend hotel met een authentieke sfeer. Het personeel was zonder uitzondering vriendelijk en behulpzaam, en we hebben ook genoten van het gezellige terras.

Helaas viel ons verblijf tegen ten opzichte van de hoge verwachtingen die we hadden op basis van de reviews. De kamer was prima maar het bed erg klein en vooral het nachtelijke lawaai van het nabij gelegen vliegveld zorgde ervoor dat we nauwelijks hebben geslapen. Het ontbijt was matig en het avondeten vonden we ronduit teleurstellend.

Beautiful old Cotswold building. Providing everything you’d expect from a boutique hotel, whilst retaining all its old world charm. Very comfortable.

Staff and pub

The staff were very friendly and there was a restaurant downstairs with delicious food. Breakfast was great as well, with a variety of different foods and plenty of seating. The hotel and the room itself were both stunning, although our room was upgraded from the one we originally booked. There were two single beds in one room and one queen-sized bed in the adjacent room, and each room had its own modern, well-equipped bathroom. The beds were all equally plush, velvety, and comfortable, and there was no noise pollution at all.

The only downside was that the doors to the bathroom were impossible to open quietly.

Breakfast was abundant and with quite a good choice. The staff was super nice except the grouchy bloke who looked like he slept uncovered...haha😁 Tess and Simona are super friendly. Tess, the short haired lady would go out of her way to be helpful , her warmth and efficiency were very appreciated. We loved this beautiful inn, the serene location, the clean room, food...well everything.

We had such a wonderful warm welcome and they were extremely helpful even carrying my friends case to the room. The room was absolutely perfect for two ladies travelling together. Everything was spotless and the beds were very comfortable. We ate in the restaurant and the food was superb once again with excellent service. The breakfast was incredible The staff was so helpful going above and beyond, even putting off freezer blocks in the fridge for us. Would make a detour to stay there if I was travelling anywhere in the future.

The owner (sorry I forgot your name) served breakfast and it was apparent. He was not a morning person! Perhaps if you just smiled it would make our day brighter, a small thing, but nonetheless important.

Beautiful character property which was in a good location for what we wanted to see and do. It had a nice walk just adjacent to the hotel which was lovely in the evening. The staff were very friendly and attentive.

Although we always found a space, the off street parking was tricky. And I appreciate it’s an older building but the floorboards in the rooms were quite squeaky. We felt quite antisocial walking around our room late at night or early in the morning.

There's nothing I can say I didn't like. My only advice, I'd suggest the location is best enjoyed with access to a car.

Ik kwam te laat aan door een verkeersongeval op de snelweg, maar de sleutel lag voor me klaar op de afgesproken plek. De kamer was uitstekend met een heerlijk bed.

Mooie oude goed gerenoveerde locatie. Oude elementen behouden! Heel fraai en compleet ontbijt a la carte. Prijs - kwaliteit is echt super in orde! Stil vanaf ca. 22 uur, dan sluit de pub. Heel behulpzaam personeel!

Superb one night stay. Room was great with a very comfortable bed with a choice of pillows (and too many scatter cushions), TV and Coffee facilities and a great bathroom. Had a meal in the resturant which is highly recommended. Also serve local real ale on draft as well. There is also a nice beer garden on the side which is a bit like a village green and great for summer evenings. Popular with locals even mid week so book a table if you want to dine.

Instead of a wardrobe there was a hanger on the wall but this was over a table and where the kettle was. It would have been better to put it on the far wall in place of (or behind) the chair. Just a minor point to an otherwise faultless room.

Charming chic historical inn beautifully appointed and decorated small room with very comfortable bed , quality linens and large fluffy towels spotlessly clean. Hot & powerful shower .Friendly staff, prompt communication, good choice for breakfast, freshly and excellently cooked Delicious homemade granola of note. Lovely outdoor seating space on green . Strawberry lane walk suggested was delightful.

Note re parking …. plenty of spaces around green and on road but very limited on site but this is explained by property . Service in evening was slow as issue with no show member of kitchen staff but it was explained and apologised for by waiting staff . An unfortunate unforeseen occurrence and hopefully one off the dishes when they arrived were delicious.
