Simon Guest Apartments

We stayed in Simon Guest Apartments the first week in September. This is an outstanding property in a great location. The apartment is spacious, clean and comfortable. We were met upon arrival and given a map of Porto with local tips. Restaurants, shops, and a grocery store are very close. We took an Uber from the train station to the apartment, but walked everywhere for the rest of the week. Communication with Ana was great. She is very kind and was always ready to help and listen. We wouldn't hesitate to stay at Simon Guest Apartments again.

The apartment was beautiful and the host amazing. I had a stomach bug and she offered to help me if I needed special assistance. The location was central to all amenities. The host provided a map of all the special places to see.

Bardzo dobry kontakt z gospodarzami. Byli bardzo pomocni i życzliwi. Spędziliśmy tam tydzień z 2,5 rocznym dzieckiem. Po raz pierwszy spotkaliśmy się z tym, że dla naszego dziecka był przygotowany specjalny ręcznik kąpielowy dla dziecka. To było bardzo miłe. Sam apartment nowy, bardzo czysty, zadbany i urządzony ze smakiem. Lokalizacja też świetna. Trochę na uboczu ale wszędzie bardzo blisko i fajne sąsiedztwo.

Adoramos a simpatia da Ana e do David. O apartamento tem ótima apresentação e limpeza. A localização é muito boa.

Excelentemente bem localizado no centro do Porto. Apartamento bem decorado. Silencioso, apenas se ouvia o barulho normal da rua. Fomos muito bem recebidos pela Ana. Excelente comunicadora, atenciosa, simpática e muito prestável. É o rosto do lindo projeto e que dá motivação para voltar em breve

Dat het appartement schoon was met een gezellige uitstraling. Je kon hetnook goed en veilig afsluiten. We kregen een goede en uitgebreide uitleg over appartement en ook war we eventueel wilde en konden doen in Porto.

Als ik iets moet zoeken is dat het balkon mss wat smal is, maar je kon er goed zitten.

Perfekte Lage. Super Gastgeber, der fast den Stadtführer gespielt hat, inklusive super Restaurant-Tipps. Schöne Terrasse. Bequem mit Fahrstuhl.

Everything was great. Ana, the host was at the property to meet us for an early check in. She showed us round the apartment and also gave us a map with local points of interest plus recommendations for eating. When we asked for extra pillows she had them delivered the same day. The apartment was clean and spacious and exactly as advertised.

The road outside is quite noisy late at night and also early morning. Not something that Ana can do anything about but worth noting.

Great apartment complex right on the edge of the city centre. The place is very clean and spacious, with proper air conditioning, excellent beds, and a double balcony. What stood out most was the communication and service from our host(s). It made us feel very welcome and comfortable.

The fact that I had to think about this for a long time says it all: the batteries in the remotes need replacing! 🤣 that is really all I can think of..

El apto muy lindo, cálido, acogedor. Limpio. Con todo lo necesario para una estadía perfecta con dos niñas pequeñas. Ana, fue muy amable y atenta por mensaje en todo momento, recomendándonos también lugares que visitar con niños, sitios para comer children friendly, nos puso una trona para la bebé en el apto… Su pareja nos recibió más tarde de lo habitual para hacer el check in, nos dejó un mapita, nos explicó cómo movernos por la ciudad. Todo perfecto. La ubicación excelente también! Porque está cerca del centro, pero alejado del bullicio, la zona es bonita y con sitios para comer, supermercado, etc. A dos pasos de uno de los parques más lindos de Oporto. Estamos muy contentos con la atención de los anfitriones, la ubicación del apto, las instalaciones. Todo excelente. Lo recomendamos 100%!

No hay nada que no nos haya gustado o de lo cual podamos decir algo a mejorar… todo ha sido fantástico

Un alojamiento totalmente recomendable. David y Ana son muy serviciales y amables. La ubicación es muy buena. En 15 minutos a pie puedes estar en cualquier sitio de interés de Oporto.

Petit appartement propre, calme et bien situé. Et très belle terrasse avec vue intéressante sur le quartier. Tout peut se faire à pied et épicerie à proximité. Ana est fort sympathique et nous a bien présenter les attraits et incontournables dans la ville et à proximité. Obrigado Ana ! ;)

Un peu d'attente à notre arrivée pour récupérer la clé, mais rien de bien grave. On en a profiter pour gouter à nos premières pasteis de nata !

Our host, Anna welcomed us with her big smile, even we checked in early. She explained to us where to visit, how to get to different places and recommended several restaurants. Location is good. It is in a quiet neighborhood but also close to many places. lots of nice restaurants nearby. We basically walked to everywhere. Room is nice and big. We have living room, a nice size kitchen and bedroom.

Beautiful apartment in a great location. Quiet, safe and a short walk to city center. Ana was very kind and accommodating. Francisco picked me up at the airport and was very helpful with recommendations. Definitely would stay here again!

We really enjoyed our stay at this Apartment. We felt safe walking around the neighborhood. I especially appreciated the communication with Ana . We missed our flight and were delayed a day, she was very accommodating and understanding in constant contact with me trying to arrange a airport transport, morning or night she was there to reassure me. The only secure thing I felt about our travels up to that point . Then we were very pleased to meet our driver Fransico, friendly and kind advising us on everything to make our stay comfortable and doable . He went on to drive us to the train station the next day and shared with us his person ambition to someday have his own travel business. I wish him all the luck and success. If you are a woman traveling alone, you can be at peace knowing Ana and Fransico truly care and our supportive . I’d like to return and definitely would stay at this same location . Walking distance to town, lots of places to eat , shop, little further from port but the Funicular helps with the incline . I can’t say it was quite only because there happened to be a private party going on next door . But I don’t think it’s a regular occurrence. No bars or clubs just a special event , I mean it was a Saturday night after all . I highly recommend Simon Apartments for your Porto stay.

Simons Guest House ist klein und cozy , wie es sich in der stadt gehört der charme ist überragend und mit der kleinen dachterasse kaum zu übertreffen. Ich war mit meiner Mutter ubd meinen 2 Söhnen zu besuch. Uns hat es an nichts gefällt und wir wurden auch während des aufenthalts gefragg pb wir nocv handtücher oder hilfe brauchen..auch der späte check in war kein problem und der partner hat uns dort empfangen und geholfen mit den koffern. Essenstipps und ausflugstipps inklusive . Waren sehr begeistert und würden es gerne wieder buchen

Tudo estava perfeito! A Ana é extremamente simpática e nos recebeu muitíssimo bem, foi inclusive super flexível com o horário de check in. O apartamento é grande, bonito, confortável e limpo. Localização é perfeita, fizemos todos os pontos turísticos andando, e tem mercado, lavanderia, e cafés a menos de 2 minutos do apartamento. Mesmo sendo central, o apartamento é muito silencioso.

O único ponto negativo é que a água do chuveiro demora muito a descer pelo ralo, muitas vezes em 3 minutos de banho seu pé já está coberto de água.

The roof top seats could have been a bit higher they were low to the floor which for one of us was a issue

On se sentait comme chez nous Ana David et Flàvia étaient juste impecable .Ils nous on même proposer des lieux a visité à Porto .On a passé un magnique sejour dans cette appartement. Je vous le recommande vivement . Je reviendrais ça c'est sûr.

Excellent location, it is a quiet neighborhood; an artist collective area where they make and sell (high end) affordable quality goods. Many excellent restaurants within 10-15 minute walk. The apt. was spacious, modern; very large living room with a sleeper couch, air conditioning, washer/dryer (bonus!), eat-in kitchen comfortable for two people. Two twin beds that were separated, but could be moved together as a queen-sized bed. Coffee machine, dishes, glasses/cups, silverware; and a few items for actual cooking. Ana was amazing! She gave tips on the area, places to eat, and information on the area. As a reference, the apt. is only a 15 min. walk to the Douro River. Highly recommend!

We were in Simon Coral. Great location, very comfortable and clean, great to have the balcony. Ana is such a lovely person, she gave us lots of recommendations and her communication prior to the holiday was excellent. We would happily return.

It’s a beautiful apartment. Very spacious with lots of storage. There was 2 of us and more than enough room. It was all very clean when we got there. Ana is a very helpful and caring host, who met us at the door and generously gave us lots of information about Porto. The communication was quick, welcomed us in and was very informative. The location was ideal for us but involved a lot of walking- especially to the river but that’s to be expected in Porto. The transport links from the apartment were close by if wanting to go further a field.

This apartment was conveniently located. Ana & David were great hosts. Ana assisted w/ the arrangement of transportation to/from train station. Apartment had good amenities & we opted for apartment with large balcony. Shower head needed a little work as it wouldn't stay up and light/ fan over stove wasn't working, but otherwise all was good.

Had a lovely stay. Balcony was a plus and owners were super helpful and fully explained the area and options for dining, touring and entertainment. All the rooms were a comfortable size and well furnished.

My friend and I loved the apartment. Comfortable bed and quite location close to everything. Ana was very friendly and welcoming. she was great help explaining the places to visit. Would stay there again

Tolle Unterkunft, liebevoll eingerichtet mit schöner Dachterrasse. Die Lage ist perfekt und man erreicht die wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten in 20min. Ana und David waren tolle Gastgeber, die jederzeit erreichbar waren.

Ana was very friendly. The communication before and during the check-in was very good. She explained the city and made very good suggestions.

Good location within walking distance of most things you'd want to do as a tourist. Comfortable and nice to have an outdoor space, even though there is really no view but a roof and parking lot. The kitchen could've been better furnished - dish cloths, maybe some cooking oil, salt pepper etc. Our host was late meeting us to let us in which is annoying when you're out on the street with your luggage.

Ana and David were incredible hosts, very responsive and quick to address any issues. Their property was well appointed and close to plenty of restaurants and other shops. Would definitely stay with them again!

The position of Simon Guest Apartments is perfect to reach most of Porto's top places on foot. Me and my wife went to Porto with our 6-month-old baby and all went for the best: we had a supermarket just 50m away, lots of restaurant and art's shops (it's an art discrict), the apartment (4th floor with elevator big enough to contain a stroller and the luggage) was perfect, clean and very cozy. The apartment had a terrace, very large and beautiful. I really appreciated the kindness of Ana (the owner) and if we ever come back to Porto, I already know where to book!

Great size apartment! I like that the living room was not stuck to the bedroom. It was the biggest apartment we stayed in out of the 4 in Portugal. Has all needed facilities and is very clean. You only go up a few steps then there’s an elevator to take you to your floor. The area is good but not the best, you’ll need to walk a few minutes to get to the busier areas with more cafes and restaurants. But other than that everything was perfect!

great location in a quieter part of town close to the center, clean and spacious appartement, clear and friendly instructions by hosts, who also allowed a late check out. Very happy overall!

The location as expected good, clean, spacious, welcoming hosts. We liked everything! New TV, 2 ACs systems, big boiler with hot water, electric stove. All windows are closed with hard curtains. We have stayed here for NY, all was as expected!

Extra bottle of soap for shower/hands would be better, it was just one. Towels are hard to make dry, would add at least small towel dryer. There were no kettle, but coffee machine and for crepes, just to be aware.

Die Kommunikation war hervorragend, wir konnten sehr früh unsere Koffer abstellen und dann auch bereits vormittags in die Wohnung. Die Lage ist wunderbar, im Viertel gibt es tolle Restaurants (und Anas Tipps sind Gold wert), direkt um die Ecke findet man einen kleinen Discounter. Die Innenstadt, der Fluss, die Metro, alles ist fußläufig sehr gut erreichbar. Die Dachterrasse eignet sich wunderbar fürs Frühstück. Wichtige Info: Es gibt eine Kapsel-Kaffeemaschine.

The best feature about this property for us was the location, walkable to everything for us and Ana, the host who met us and took extra time to note her recommendations on a city map. She was so sweet and responsive.

Location of this apartment is great. Coffee shop just down the corner. Small grocery very close as well. Easily walkable to everywhere we wanted to go. Comfortable beds, generous sized bathroom. Communication and response time from property manager was great.

We opened the beautiful large glass sliding doors in the living room and stepped outside to see the weather, closing the door behind us and were locked out on the balcony for 2 hours. The property manager responded as quickly as they could, yes, however, a heads up on the door situation would have saved us that time and stress. Apparently the living room sliders are considered windows. Thankfully we had our phone on us when this happened. The coffee machine and front door lock could have used instructions. Wifi was weak.

Stayed here for a conference in Super Bock arena, and it was easily walkable to the arena. Ana was amazing and very helpful with orienting us to Porto. We got one room for the two of us, and another for our two teenaged boys, so there was plenty of space. We did run out of toilet paper and ended up buying more from a grocery store, which was very close. Some things to note: The hand soap in the bathroom was also a shampoo and body wash, so we needed to take it to and from the shower several times; there were not any extra pillows or towels; the air conditioners (wall units) worked very well, and we stayed cool even though it was quite hot outside.

We did not get the cleaning on day 3 as promised on the homepage. There were no toiletries and shampoo as described on hotels.com hotels.com. - there was a used soap bar in the shower . noisy location,but close to the city. The kitchen was very sparsely equipped. It did not meet my expectations- and definitely not luxurious .

The apartment was close to a lot of attractions and there were several eating places and a small grocery store close by. The apartment was roomy for being in such a central location.

There was a lot of road noise. Kitchen supplies were sparse but we only stayed for two nights so it was okay for us.

Ana our host was phenomenal. She was helpful, supportive and the communication was great. The accomodation was comfortable. Quiet. Great location. Needed a jug and toaster. Only fault.

Good location. Calm area, not too far or close to crowded tourist centres. Nice restaurants and shops nearby. Floor plan with separate bedrooms. Large terrace. The best thing was the owner, Ana, who was very kind and very helpful with all our questions and requests.

There were no towels or dishcloths for the kitchen or bath mats for the shower. There is a laundrette nearby, but it would be helpful if there were indoor clotheslines.

Ana was a fantastic host. We made a few requests and she was able to help us with all of it. We had a small issue with the internet that was fixed by her very lovely husband immediately! The location is perfect and the recommendations for dining were awesome! We had an incredible dinner very near by at a degustation restaurant for only 35 euro each. The apartment is modern, clean and very user friendly. The beds were comfy. I would recommend this to anyone and Ana and the recommendations were perfect!

We had a wonderful time in Porto. Property was easy to access, clean and well decorated. I will highly recommend to stay at Simon's Guest Apartment. Owner is very coperative and helpful. We arrived early and they allowed us to leave the lauggages in the office.

We liked the location as it was near lots of cafes restaurants etc. It was also quiet at night time.

Bright & spacious apartment with a great terrace (even though we couldn't use it since it rained every day ☹️). Convenient location for exploring the old town.

The shower was terrible - the water just ran down rather than spraying. Hopefully this will be replaced. A few more supplies than just 2 coffee pods would have been good - especially some tea bags & milk.

Simon Apartments is a great place to stay in Porto. It is a bit of a walk from the popular tourist sights, but there is a lot to see on the way down to the river area. The apartment itself is spacious and clean. The beds are comfortable and the bathroom is excellent. The kitchen and lounge areas are also well equipped and comfortable. The little balcony is nice, although it doesn't have a good view. There is a fabulous pizza place a couple of minutes walk and a supermarket around the corner. Also, a lovely park with an amazing view about 5 minutes walk away.

Host was great accommodating an early check-in for us due to some unique circumstances that we found ourselves in. Thanks so much Ana…it was most appreciated!

Apartment is perfect size for a couple. We found the location to be great. The Palace Gardens just five minutes away is a hidden gem. Higly recommend it for some evening photos overlooking the river and old town. Once we arrived check-in and check out were smooth.

Communicaton started off a bit slow before arrival, but Anna and David recovered and were very nice hosts. The apartment is very basic and could benefit from a few more amenities, such as tissue, and more kitchenware. We needed to share the soap dispenser between the sink and the shower.

Comfortable, beautiful, newly renovated apartment equipped with everything you need, close to public transport, quiet neighbourhood. The wonderful owner organised everything perfectly!
