Location. Restaurants, shop, etc in walking distance of hotel. Bed really comfy. Sheets super soft. Complimentary bottle of wine.

Absolutely no view as downstairs at back and surrounded by trees. Everytime toilet was flushed upstairs was noisy enough to wake you downstairs as the waste water pipe appeared to run down inside the ensuite bathroom.

The Inn keepers thought of every detail to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The apartment was very clean, functional and comfortable. The hot tub and sauna were an bonus.

The village is small and there isn’t a lot to visit/do in the immediate area.

Great location. Walkable to big beach, the Aquarium, the grocery store and many food options. We loved that it had a sauna and hot tub and a nice garden area. The room was small but comfortable.

When we went to use the sauna, a man was naked. I thought to check the rules regarding the sauna and they actually recommended no swimsuit if you were alone. I don’t think that’s appropriate for a co-ed sauna. It made me uncomfortable.

We stayed here for 3 nights for our base in Ucluelet. The room was very clean and comfortable. We used the sauna and the hot tub which was an unexpected bonus. There is enough kitchen facilities to manage your own breakfast but you would struggle to cook a meal. I’m happy to recommend this accommodation to other travellers as a base for their time in Ucluelet

The room had everything we needed. The sauna was great, the location is lovely. We stayed for 5 nights and loved it. Everything was easy and well set up.

The location in centre of town was great. The building and rooms were exceptionally clean and nicely decorated. The bottle of wine and handwritten note were a nice touch to make us feel welcome.

The sofabed was the worst I've ever slept on - and I've slept on many. It sloped backwards towards the top, it was lumpy and bumpy, you could feel the springs coming through, Actually it was so bad I felt it was a total disgrace that they were charging the rate they did for such substandard equipment.

It was a bit secluded from the street. More privacy. The hot tub was nice to be able to use.

It should be explained that the driveway is very steep. A challenge when leaving the property. No real fridge / freezer.

Everything was so clean and comfortable. It was also decorated very tastefully. The bottle of wine was very much appreciated.

We couldn’t find the sports channel.

The bed was super comfy. Nice view. Loved the cedar sauna! Walk to water and town.

Great location, just steps from the store a local coffee shops and restaurants. Also walking distance to the Wild Pacific Trail. I enjoyed overlooking the harbor from my room and the Hot Tub and Steam room were a lovely addition. I didn’t meet the hosts in person but they were great to communicate with over messages and very responsive and friendly.

They presented what they advertised. Quiet and comfortable; spa like experience. Added the extras (robes, footwear, extra towels, etc.)

The property was quiet, clean & bright, with perfect location to walk tge trails and kayak the harbour. I would certainly recommend it.

Bathroom is part of room so lacks privacy, coffee and tea kettles had (how old??) water in them and when I texted owners about milk, they advised they didn’t supply. This is an Airbnb. Sauna and hot tub are great but small to share with all other guests.

The location was great. The suite was beautifully appointed, and having the welcome video was so helpful. We especially appreciated the sauna.

Everything was great. I think the bathroom fan was out of order in our suite ( top floor #2), so we used the window to let steam escape.

We liked the way access to the unit was set up - easy and secure. The unit was also located at the back of the Inn facing the internal courtyard. Also liked the furnishings - obviously, a lot of thought had gone into the interior decoration. The information in the folder was quite helpful in understanding what amenities were nearby.

A bit noisy at night from the unit above us. It would also have been handy to have had a small broom to clean the floor of fall leaves.

We stayed in suite 3- bottom floor - studio suite. It was cute and cozy, & quite clean and fresh smelling (except for some old pizza sauce spray on the kitchen wall- lol) There were robes and flip flops for the walk to the hottub and sauna - which was great ! The parking wasn’t ok for a big truck - it was steep and gravel and tight spots - but we figured it out 😁

We stayed at the Inn for our babymoon and overall had a nice time. We let them know in advance that it was a special trip, and the staff were friendly and welcoming when we arrived. They left a lovely note acknowledging our baby moon and congratulations :) The room was clean, cozy, and comfortable — a great spot to relax. Unfortunately, our first night was a bit disappointing due to noisy neighbors who were up until about 2am making a fair amount of noise inside and outside. It made it hard to get the rest we were really hoping for, especially since this trip was meant to be a peaceful getaway before the baby arrives, and the Inn states a no noise after 10pm request of guests. What was disappointing was my husband having to be the initiator to go and ask the group next to our room (we were in the Queen Suite main floor at the back, #5) at 2am to please let us sleep as this had been going on for quite some time. The rest of our stay was enjoyable, but the noise that first night did leave us with mixed feelings, hence the 3 stars. For the price we paid for 2 nights, we were not expecting it to be a “party space” location. Still, it’s a lovely place overall and location — just something to consider if you’re looking for a very quiet stay.

I enjoyed the stay for the most part, the room was clean quiet and com comfortable to stay in. The only thing I didn’t like was the hot tub was not clean.

Great place to stay!

A lovely property, right in the centre. All facilities were excellent.

Very neat property, all as advertised. Close to all major places.

The location? Perfect. Close to the harbour, many coffee, breakfast and other dining options all within walking distance. The building and property? Perfection. Quiet and exactly as described in the advertisement they have posted. The hot tub was clean. The room we had (suite 4), was quaint, clean and had everything we could need for our short stay in Ucluelet. Parking is on gravel. We came out here on touring bikes and with the steep driveway (concrete), we weren’t able to park on the property itself. However parking on the street in front was free and we were not bothered by it. There is no air conditioning, so be ready to open windows for a cross breeze to cool things off at night. Baseboard heaters worked well to bring the temp up once the night cooled it off. Overall, we were exceptionally happy with our stay and the accommodations provided.

Loved this suite!! Nestled in the woods, quiet and quaint, great views. Nice decor with all the necessities included. Hot tub and sauna were a bonus! Would definitely stay here again.

A nice room, bed is very comfortable, hot tub is a nice option. Wish the fridge had an ice option, and a fan is needed in the room.

Lodge style large room with kitchen and dining area. Fantastic shower room, best one in the 2 weeks we travelled around Vancouver and Vancouver Island. Extremely comfortable bed. I would highly recommend.

The parking was very tight when all units occupied.

The room was spotless and was well-stocked with everything I needed to enjoy a light breakfast in the room before heading out for hiking. The bed was soooo comfortable. The self-entry keypad was a snap and the owners left a sweet welcome note with contact info in case I needed anything. The location was walking distance to the grocery store, several restaurants and coffee shops. A great choice in Ucluelet!

The parking area can get crowded if they're all booked up, but there is also street parking. Nothing bad to say about this inn.

Sorry, I didn’t check my email before arriving at the Francis Boutique Hotel. We got there and called the property manager for access to our suite. Karina was very helpful in directing us to our suite and guiding us through the self checking. She even helped to take our baggage to our suite. We walked into the suite and were blown away! So beautiful and welcoming. Everything was there for our three nights stay, enough toiletries and bath supplies. This is a perfect place for young and old couples. I would highly recommend the Francis Boutique Hotel!

The location was good for short walk to coffee shops & grocery store. On site parking was convenient.

Had a great two-night stay at The Francis Boutique Inn in Ucluelet! The room was very clean and the bed was really comfortable. The drive to Tofino was scenic and relaxing. We also found it super convenient to have an EV charging station right on the property’s parking lot — a nice bonus for travellers with electric cars!

My room was large and nicely decorated. It had a small kitchen with everything you need for a short stay. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel was full while I was there and I never heard anyone else - it's very quiet. I would highly recommend the Francis Boutique Hotel!

What a quaint boutique inn very close to everything in Ukee! Rooms were clean and fresh, with a great sauna and spa in the back yard. I would definitely stay again, and also refer friends. Suites had all the amenities you would need along with a large modern TV with access to local cable and streaming services.

The property is wonderful. The apartments are extremely well thought through, with plenty of space and fantastic amenities. Check-in is done remotely but the reception was extremely communicative and responsive. The additional amenities of a sauna and a hot tub felt as a luxury that really elevated our experience. Overall a memorable accomodation that we would love to visit again along with recommending it.

This is a charming place to stay with large rooms and mini kitchens. Everything you need !

The welcome email we were sent with directions, activities, and places to eat was awesome and very helpful. Bed was very comfortable. Suite was very clean and well maintained. When we had a question, Karina was very quick to come up and help us.

The towels were very hard and actually hurt your skin. The welcome email noted that Netflix was on Telus channel 422. However, there were no telus channels and Netflix was through the Samsung remote. Telus remote statement should be removed, as it is confusing. There were quite a few hairs on the pillows. However, they looked clean and I wonder if it was transfered from headboard.

Great location, quiet and clean and comfortable Communication from the inn was excellent.Didn’t try the hot , but the sauna was outstanding after a long drive.

We stayed in a King Suite and it was a perfect little apartment with everything we needed to be comfortable- two adults and a teen. The hot tub and sauna were amazing to come back to after a day of exploring the rainy beaches and forests. Ucluelet is an adorable town. We will stay here again on our next trip to the area.

Location was perfect. Room was clean and comfy. Beds were lovely. Self check-in was easy and convenient. Slippers were provided if you wanted to head to the sauna/hot tub, which was a nice touch.

Some of the plug-ins didn't work, so we had to try a few out. Wasn't a big issue though, we had enough power.

We booked for 2 adults and our 16 yr old daughter. Once her disabled was unfolded there was very little room to move. The dining table was rather squashed in a corner. It would have been great for just the 2 adults however!

Place was clean, great shower, close to good restaurants, walking trails. We didn't bring swimsuits so didn't get a chance to use the hot tub and sauna, both of which look great. Most people who go to Ucluelet don't go to watch TV, but in our late 70's we appreciate it when Netflix, Prime and other streaming services are available, and this place has lots of them.

Mattress was a bit lumpy and softer than we are used to. Most of the lighting was in clear glass, making the light really sharp and uncomfortable.

Our stay at the Francis was truly wonderful! We stayed in the King Apartment, and it felt just like home. My husband and I had everything we needed to make ourselves comfortable. The little kitchen was fully equipped, and the bathroom was both cozy and recently renovated. The living room, complete with a fireplace, was very inviting. They will send you a video showing how everything works in the room. We also enjoyed having a private balcony with chairs and a table, perfect for enjoying coffee and breakfast outdoors. The bathtub was great—very clean and comfortable. The space provided us with plenty of privacy, and the sauna was new, easy to use, and private as well. After spending a couple of nights there, I felt incredibly relaxed. The price is fantastic for the value! The Francis is located right in the heart of Ucluelet, making it easy to walk to shops, breweries, and restaurants without needing a car. I highly recommend this hotel!

They have created unrealistic expectations by describing the hotel ad "luxurious" and "boutique". It is neither but does provide a perfectly satisfactory, if ordinary, hotel room in a converted house. A note on the wall suggested imminent reservations so perhaps worth watching.

They got the little things mostly right but have missed on an overall concept.

Well-kitted out living space, bathroom, and bedroom. Large and comfortable bed with good quality bedding. Complimentary bottle of wine kindly provided. Hot tub was wonderful and warm, sauna had a lovely window so you could see the surrounding green, and robes and sandals provided in the room.

Asked for the sofa bed to be set up on my arrival - the request was forgotten (I did book a long while in advance). Host came to remedy the issue on the day. Wouldn't attempt any serious cooking as there's only a hob top and no dishwasher.

I don't know what a "Boutique Inn" is, but for me The Francis was just a room -no more. We did not meet anybody - all communication was online. The room in first floor was huge and nice and with a harbour view ( partly). There is no walk in shower - it's in a bathtub and the whole bathroom is connected to the room - open area. Toilet is of course in a room, but the shower just behind a curtain. Coffee/tea maker , fridge etc. Lovely huge bed. Everything fine. No breakfast - you had to go downtown - five minutes of BYO in Coop which we did on the second day. Ucluelet is very nice and cosy - If I come back I will stay at other place where I meet people at breakfast as in a b&b, small hotel etc.
