Four Points by Sheraton Manado

Beds were comfortable, location was excellent. We were unable to use the pool bar due to loud building work so we had to sit inside with no view but the lovely young man at the bar was very attentive and went out of his way to ensure I had a lovely cold glass of wine.

Communication was not consistent. We paid for triple share and breakfast was included but only one king bed so we had to pay for an extra bed to be added. We planned to enjoy our last sunset in Sulawesi at the pool bar but the building work around that area meant we were unable to sit and have a conversation. The work was also right below our room and went until 11.00pm. In addition, there was a group gathering (maybe a conference) and they had a function outside on the rooftop with loud music until 2.00am. We did not sleep well.

Hier und da schon ein bißchen in die Jahre gekommen... Für ein oder zwei Nächte aber alles ok. Für die Größe des Hotels ist der Pool und die Anzahl der Liegen viel zu klein / wenig.

大型モールに直接入ることができ、とても便利でした。窓から見える夕日も見事でした。角部屋だったので朝日も見ることが出来ました。初めてのマナドでしたが、1日観光にスタッフから良い運転手さんを紹介して頂き、楽しくマナドを過ごすことが出来ました。又来たいと思います。

Très décevant, surtout pour un hôtel de ce standing. La chambre est vieillissante, le drap était déchiré, une forte odeur de moisissure était présente et l’évacuation de la douche était bouchée. Mais le pire reste l’isolation phonique catastrophique : j’ai entendu mes voisins parler toute la nuit, jusqu’à 4 h du matin. Impossible de dormir correctement. L’hôtel nous a proposé une navette gratuite pour l’aéroport en guise de compensation, mais cela est clairement insuffisant au regard des problèmes rencontrés et de la nuit pratiquement blanche que nous avons passée. Un remboursement ou un dédommagement à la hauteur de la situation aurait été beaucoup plus approprié. Très mauvaise expérience et rapport qualité-prix décevant. Je ne recommande pas cet hôtel.

Chambre spacieuse et propre, lit confortable, bon emplacement proche d’un centre commercial

Travaux autour de la piscine, massage bien mais propreté de l'institut à revoir (couverture sur les tables de massage + oreillers qui sentaient très mauvais), évènement le soir autour de la piscine jusqu’à 21h (nous n'avons été prévenu qu’1h avant avec un papier glissé sous la porte)

Die Lage des Hotels ist super zentral,gleichzeitig hat man von der Poolbar aus eine grandiose Aussicht über die Stadt und den Sonnenuntergang über dem Meer. Die Zimmer sind groß,modern und sehr sauber. Wir hatten von dort aus ebenfalls eine tolle Aussicht auf die wunderschöne Küste. Das gesamte Hotelpersonal ist sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Wir waren nur für eine Nacht dort,wären aber auch länger geblieben,da es uns gut gefallen hat.

Stopped here for the night on our arrival to and departure from Sulawesi and it was just great. A very professional set up with great facilities and a really nice atmosphere. The views from the rooms are really nice and the infinity pool and bar area overlooking the islands is great. The breakfast is one of those brilliant ‘world cuisine’ buffet style set ups which is great fun and super value for money.

Only real issue is that I kept getting woken up in the night our during stay the night before our flight off Sulawesi. The hotel is connected to a large mall and car park with a couple late night bars in them. One of them was playing music quite late into the evening which I could hear the bass notes of in the room. Nothing some earplugs couldn’t solve but sort of annoying have to do that in an otherwise very high standard hotel.

Hotel is netjes, maar iets achterstallig onderhoud. Waar je geen last van hebt. (Gevel enz)

Thania was a super star. She helped us tremendously thru out our stay. What a service given by her! The hotel is nicely situated and has a good price quality ratio.

I think the pool itself needs some proper cleaning. The facilities are great, nice seating especially as of 1630 when the temperature is getting better. The sunset is wonderful here!

The bed was comfortable. They were projecting the World Cup matches onto a big screen in the common area so we could all watch it.

The communication and hospitality from this hotel is TERRIBLE. We arrived very early (8am) due to our flight and we had asked for an early check in on 4 June. We arrived 30 June. The hotel: (1) Did not reply to my question (2) Replied regarding "early departure" (3) I wrote back asking for clarification and asking (again) if an early check in was possible The hotel GHOSTED. We arrived on the morning of 30 June. And: (1) The concierge staff informed us that early check in was not allowed. (2) When we asked if it was possible, they then said it would cost as IDR1,000,000 (3) When I informed them about my communications with the hotel, they then changed their story and said they were "fully booked" and had no extra rooms. (4) We asked them to check again. They promised. We purchased 2 buffet breakfast meals to bide our time. We went back to check on the status of our early check in 1.5 hours later. We were told that they will whatsapp us. Another half hour goes by, and we went back to check. The staff lied and said they did not intend to whatsapp us, only delay us. Their story changed from "we can only give you early check in if you pay IDR1,000,000" to "we have no rooms" BUT "if you pay us IDR1,000,000 we will have a room for you" (5) At this stage, because of the lies and deceit, I requested the names of all the staff present as I would be launching a formal complaint against them. Their manager came out to speak and said that charging us IDR1,000,000 was "company policy". I asked where this policy is published. I went onto their formal hotel website. There was no indication of extra charges for early check in. At this stage, the lies and corruption was so horrible. That their official reservations manager came out to apologise and address me directly. They acknowledged their error and in 15 minutes, we were checked into our room.

locationis strategic near amusement sites in Manado. the view of the hotel is magnificent. you can see the sea and small islands near by. good to capture the sunset!

Paying each time I ordered room service. It would be simpler for the guest to run a tab and pay on checkout.

Great location, good access to the mall.

It’s dirty and run down, poorly maintained. The staff are friendly but obviously lacking in training and customer service.

Onze kamer stonk binnen 5 minuten na binnenkomst als een beerput, we hebben wel gelijk een andere, betere, kamer gekregen .

Location in the middle of the city and the astounding sea and city view.

The sound proofing in the room we were in wasn’t great as we had a noisy neighbours on the first night.

Best location in downtown of Manado City.

Schoon, attent personeel en zeer goed ontbijt

We hadden niet roken kamer met zeezicht geboekt maar bij aankomst waren er alleen roken kamers met zeezicht beschikbaar. We hebben een free upgrade gekregen naar een suite maar deze had geen zeezicht, beetje jammer.

Opening window in the room — surprisingly hard to find, but very important to me. I understand that open windows can interfere with air conditioning, especially if condensation becomes an issue when the A/C is running hard with the window open. However, unless the air-conditioning system is modern enough to bring in fresh outside air, it is largely just recirculating room air, with only minimal fresh air coming through door gaps. That does not work well for me. My preference is to keep the window open and the air conditioning off most of the time, then close the window and run the A/C briefly when I need to cool the room down. That seems like a reasonable compromise: fresh air most of the time, with cooling used only when needed. Plus rest of Window is massive picture Window.👍 okay, maybe 10 is a point generous as it wasn’t perfect , but I just love certain features of this Hotel! …… especially the swimming pool on the sixth floor. It’s totally world class for me …. and at this price point! Manado a cool place (google things to do here and get yourself a GRAB driver for the day ) and the Sheraton really made my experience special. Excellent staff, super comfy bed, decent breakfast,

Arriving initially is a bit weird and you sort of have to work out what’s going on. Ended up leaving my luggage at the ground floor and going to the third floor to check in and then the luggage ticket tag system failed so I ended up phoning after 20 minutes, because I’ve not left my little luggage tag at reception.

We only stayed for 2 nights and went to Bunaken. The food wasn't great and for a Sheraton it was below the usual standard. Well located in the city. We booked a transfer but they forgot to pick us up from the airport! The manager was very apologetic about it and offered us an upgrade but we would have preferred the taxi was there! Overall it was ok for what we needed.

The live music played by the local musicians during breakfast was fantastic, every member of the team was incredibly friendly

Breakfast restaurant ambiance, lack of fresh food, food selection, waiting time for coffee, many guests smoking on open seating areas, cleanliness of the facility. Marriott should support the team, which is incredibly friendly and willing with more training and international exposure

All the staff were friendly.

Considering it’s rated as a 4-star hotel, the property felt quite old and not very clean. When I lifted the blanket, I found a yellow stain on the sheet, so I had to place my own towel on the bed before sleeping.
