Atmosphere, Breakfast options, staff 😀
just making sure that staff and patrons are made aware of pool hours. The Sunday Brunch had a few staff and myself confused about pool availability. Also one call said pool closed at 10, another time I was told 11
Room clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was very good.
The service was excellent. All were friendly and accommodating.
Only a couple minor issues. Our room was quite warm when we arrived and it took several hours for the a/c to cool it down. Although it was summer, the single blanket on the bed was a heavy comforter. It would have been nice to have an option of a lighter blanket.
Location, price, cleanliness, staff, breakfast
Nice staff
Nothing really
It has been a quiet place
Pool was closed due to maintenance, breakfast voucher ($6) did not cover full cost of a decent breakfast, staff authorized door key for one night instead of two nights ( despite pre- booking) and also handed out only one breakfast voucher for one day at a time, internet seemed to be slow at times, bathtub anti slip features was worn down and no additional anti slip mat provided, bedding was either a very warm winter quilt or a thin summer blanket, complimentary coffee of poor quality.
It was really close to the Aquatic Centre, which is why we were there, so that was good. It was clean, and although the building was dated, the beds have been updated and were very comfy. Bathrooms are large, which is basically a miracle for a hotel these days.
Pool was “down for maintenance” and there was no indication prior to checking in that this was the case, even though the sign indicating this was quite worn, so this either happens frequently, or it has been out of commission for awhile. Charging 150$/night when you don’t have the one amenity that justifies that price is dishonest.
Like coming home.
No complaints
Central location with all facilities.
The bed and pillows were not very good for a good sleep.
Clean and comfortable rooms. Staff are always pleasant and helpful. The restaurant food is good value and tasty.
Loved the room.. and the guest services lady, Donna. The bartender was wonderful, good was good in the pub. The Cafe, I had a problem. They made me feel like I was a problem. I had asked for a couple coffees to go.. whether they we understaffed, I don't think so.. but there was 6 people in the Cafe. They could have been alot more polite. I just walked out. They were grumpy, and acted like I was a bother.
The Cafe as stated above.
The staff is always friendly and helpful.
Room was clean, bed was very comfortable.
Pillows are way too thick, brought our own
Great!
Nothing
It was awesome 👌
Nothing much
very good
very good
Breakfast and location were good
The mattress was really worn and the floor felt sloped
Very good
All good.
Easy check in
Sink didn’t drain how does that get unnoticed when it comes to cleaning!
Pool to be opened and not in maintenance! Continental breakfast should have been free!
We ordered the Prairie breakfast but were served the traveller's breakfast in error.
Staff are fantastic. Room was very clean.
I booked online at a rate of $110 but when we got to the hotel they charged us $153. So I don’t think I’d book with you again because your price was not guaranteed.
Staff were cordial
Very few supplies in the bathroom for two people. Bed uncomfortable.
Clean and friendly staff
The property is in older condition but it’s well kept from what we saw
The staff at the location were very nice and tried their best to accommodate us.
Not being able to resolve the bud bugs as we booked with booking.com, instead of direct. Major flaw in the travel booking system
Good breakfast and location
It’s very clean for an older building .
I had asked for a main floor room as they don’t have an elevator. Our room was in the 2nd floor.
Staff were very polite. Beds were extremely comfortable and rooms were clean.
Door key had to be changed out several times.
.
Carpet was filthy, sound between rooms was so noisy. Room service food wasn’t great. But Staff were very nice.
Got checked in then was told no pool then had dinner in the dining area and seen mice on the floor at the next table. We will never come back very very disappointed
Clean rooms, comfortable bed, quiet.
Great
Most comfortable bed
Staff were friendly and courteous. Lounge food was very good and breakfast was very good in the restaurant.
For an older hotel I was satisfied
Clean enough, very old, needs renovations very badly. Breakfast not included. Was convenient due to mom’s surgery at hospital down the street. Lucky enough to get a room during wild fires not too far away and evacuees there
It was nice to have eating in the facility without having to leave the property. No elevators, so access to rooms involved climbing stairs.
Clean and big room
The air conditioning is like rocks crushing machine
breakfast was perfect. we were traveling for medical reasons so the location was ideal.
the stairs to reach the 1st floor room was not ideal for my husband on crutches.
Polite staff, clean and comfortable bed.
Entrance and exit to the parking lot needs attention, big potholes..
The room we wound up in was comfy. The restaurant/breakfast included was good. Staff friendly. Room was clean, bedding nice.
First we paid extra for the pool. We could have gotten other places for less but decided on the inn as there was a pool. We were looking forward to using it. Got to check in and there was a sign saying pool closed. Seriously I was so annoyed because we specifically wanted this place for the pool. I politely said something to the staff and she barely acknowledged me. I said you know this should be on the website because we chose this place for the pool. She didn’t respond to my concern. I would have been happy had she offered me a bit of a discount or something extra, but like I said she barely acknowledged my concerns. Then we got up to our room and the fridge was rattling loudly. We unplugged it for a few minutes to reset the compressor, so requested new room. That was seamless and smooth, but of a pain since we had already taken our stuff up. The hotel itself is becoming rundown with tape on carpets to hold it in place. Also the tv didn’t work very well. We thought it was the remote but after new batteries it still didn’t work well. In order to get it to do anything we had to stand directly in front of it with the remote almost touching the sensor, and then had to press buttons repeatedly to get it to work. One of the rods to move the curtains came off in our hands.
Property is older, no elevator to 2nd floor could you use some updating convenience location was good
A very dated hotel. The pool was under maintenance which would have been nice to know ahead of time. But, we woulsnt have used in anyways since it was in the banquet/buffet area which was kind of weird to us. The room keys also kept demagnetizing so we had to get new keys coded twice.
Really liked how quiet the property is, the only thing that would make it great, not a big thing but having a couple bottles of water in the room for the guests. The bed was comfortable clean and loved the Business Rooms.
Little disappointed that they didn't mention that the pool was out of service at the time of booking.wbook hotels with pools to give the kids something to do. There should be a discount given.
Good
At check in, the front desk clerk was rude and condescending. My worst experience checking in ever. This Hotel is not for people with mobility issues. No elevator to second floor, only stairs. The hotel should state this on their website. Check out staff were very friendly
When 4 guests are booked there should be 4 towels, four cups etc
We were pleasantly surprised as the room overlooked the pool and courtyard. Great breakfast
The Traveler's breakfast was great. The front desk staff were very helpful and very lovely to deal with.
The pool was closed with no indication that it was when I booked.
It was an okay stay. Its really gone downhill and needs an upgrade. The beds were okay. Our room was hot. Air conditioner took all night to cool it down . And it stunk. Bed was nice though. Breakfast was okay.
Was disappointing to not use the pool but overall very very happy with my stay
Clean, friendly staff, good price, good restaurant, free breakfast.
Nice place good food .
The staff was absolutely amazing and so helpful and easy to talk to. I had an amazing sleep. The hotel was a quiet and restful. The pool was so much fun.
I didn’t like that there was not a coffee bar or something that I could take coffee up to my room. I had to sit in the restaurant to drink it.
