MStar Hotel

Excellent location, spacious room, tea, coffee and muffins!

Breakfast

Overall service was exceptional

good location centre of town comfortable beds and clean rooms excellent room service

No breakfast offered .

Perhaps offer some sort of a breakfast if possible ! ?

I was surprised with the newer/renovated structures, I was expecting the standard older Canadian hotel from the north.

Great location for Kitimat

It was all wonderful

Friendly, clean and well appointed for its location. Delicious muffins and full coffee set-up are nice touches. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Clean, welcoming staff, and snacks and coffee in the lobby

Didn't have and issue

Room was very well equipped and clean. I stayed for six nights on business and found it's location in the city center to be very convenient. There are a few restaurants immediately surrounding the hotel, and a big grocery store around the corner. The room was very large and I appreciated having access to coffee/tea not only in my room, but also downstairs. Staff was very nice.

Very clean. Central location. Quiet in room at night.

The room was really clean and the front desk folks answered all my questions. Great stay.

Beautiful room ❤️ Very spacious. Super comfortable bed. Slept like a baby. Great coffee and very hospitable staff

Great place with nice staff, huge rooms, great coffee and muffins in the lobby, and super convenient location. Couldn’t have asked for any better. Highly recommend!

Made arrangements for a very late arrival and a late checkout the day before. Arrived to find out they had cancelled my reservation 30mins prior to my arrival. Checkout was not good either they wanted to charge me a whole extra night just to get an extra hour on check out. Not very helpful staff.

It was a great room! Really clean and comfortable.

All very clean, well maintained and very quiet!!!

The stay was great

Convenient location, quiet and clean. Hotel was fine but mall in which it is located is in need of a face lift.

Clean and new!

Room was large and clean. Staff was friendly. Hallway carpets definitely need replacing, lots of stains. I think it was a bit overpriced for the amenities.

Very clean and everyone was so friendly. Lots a places close by that you can walk too. Would definitely stay here again.

Excellent

The MStar is a nice hotel considering how old the property is. The room was clean, the lobby is nicely updated, and I appreciated the free latte machine and muffins every morning. The bed was a little hard for my liking, but it was a quiet place so I slept good. There are many shops around the hotel so you can walk to get whatever you may need. I rated it average because of the price and it is not a luxury hotel. The cost should be lower because of how few amenities there are.

Had a wonderful time found a place to be clean. People are well mannered and helpful. Looking forward to staying there again.

convenient location

Great as always

Old building with a good facelift,

It was great

Bed was comfortable enough but person sleeping with me felt it whenever I got up or moved; restaurants are close by for food options. Would have been great to have vending machines with drinks so we wouldn't have to leave the building.

good

Great clean place with easy check in

We were booked in for 2 nights but ended up needing an extra night due to medical issues. Even though they were fully booked they managed to accommodate up for the extra night. Very friendly staff. Would recommend to anyone needing to stay in Kitimat

Great location

Very clean, quiet and comfortable. However, the cost of guest laundry is excessive when taking into consideration the cost of the room...but all's well at Mstar

Great stay, friendly, large king rooms, 24 hour coffee bar great for early morning

The property was fantastic. It was in a great downtown location close to restaurants and shopping. Complimentary muffins and coffee are offered all day and the muffins are very good. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Sharing on behalf of one of our Board Members who advised that the accommodation was great.

Very high quality.

Area around the hotel is run-down and lacking amenities.

Will definitely stay here again when i return! Perfect spot..girl at check in was so friendly and patient. My favorite was the free coffee options and muffins.

We absolutely had an amazing stay! The only bad thing about it was that we had my 78 year old father sleeping on the hide a bed and it was the most uncomfortable bed ever. He said it was like sleeping on pins and needles. If they get proper mattresses for the hide a bed or switch it to a futon it would be a five star rating! Very clean, courteous staff! Awesome hotel! Please make the pullouts more comfortable!

Great staff super clean room

Friendly staff

F

Staff are wonderful. Great location. Super friendly.

Always a good experience. Kitimat’s best hotel.

Great rooms and service. Thanks!

I always stay at the M Star as the service is always great. Rooms are extremely clean and neat. Location is convenient and lots of parking.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at MStar. So many nice touches from the friendly greeting at the desk to the free muffins and coffee centre loaded with all types of creamers etc. Room was spacious, clean and had all you would need.

Another perfect M stay, my home away from home!

Fantastic staff

Very nice. Quiet. Great location and amazing shower!

It is a very nice hotel, friendly staff and easy to find and close to restaurants, quite and clean.

Good service. Quick hassle free check in.

Excellent stay at MStar for a week-long business trip. The room was quiet, spacious, comfortable and clean, with a microwave and fridge. Nice staff. Great shower and bed. They clean the rooms every day, unlike the other mainstream hotel in town. Well located in the heart of the little town. Good food at the “bistro” (actually a sports bar) that’s steps away.

All around perfect

The staff were amazing when we got in! So helpful.

Good service

This hotel is a gem, the facility is new and well appointed with a modern design. The staff is outstanding. Service is impeccable. The room was spacious and clean. In the lobby, you can enjoy complimentary drinks and muffins. The location is the best you can get on Kitimat, with dining and grocery options at walking distance.

Great downtown location.

We had a great stay here, the room was super clean and comfy. They have a latte machine too that's really fun and makes great drinks. I would definitely stay here again!

The staff at the M Star are top notch! The care they demonstrated makes every stay feel right at home and part of the family. From personalized notes, fun towel art, locally made muffins for breakfast. And always a warm welcoming smile and chat from the front desk as you pass, are just a few of the little things that make M Star great!

Lovely staff, very clean, and easy check in.

Re-booking for a second night was made simple & efficient by the young lady at the front desk. Clean. Quiet. Accommodating. Thank you again! Robyn

Amazing stay here with very friendly helpful staff, beautiful view from the room, complimentary items not usually offered at hotels made our stay very pleasant!

A good solid hotel, lacks amenities and food, but many restaurants nearby although mostly fast food.

Its has clean rooms and very friendly staff. The hotel is next to a near-vacant mall with some stores. Also, located by some fast food chains (2; A&W and Tim Hortons). A few restaurants and pubs in walkimg distance. The Bistro which is conveniently located next to the hotel is pretty good.

It was a nice stay at M Star, very friendly staff and and it was a quite and clean hotel.

We stay here Several times a year as we have family in Kitimat. The phone rang at 10:59 nine with a reminder that check out is at 11. We were actually just leaving the room. Never had that before in a hotel!! Thank you for the reminder to check out and I won’t be checking back in!

M Star is a great, clean, and friendly hotel that is right next to Kitimat Mall and variety of other amenities including fast foods restaurants, sit-in restaurants, a pharmacy, and boutiques.

Great hotel!!!

Comfortable rooms and beds with good showers. Disappointed that there was no tea or coffee in the rooms though freely available in the lobby. Muffins were also available free of charge but, sadly, the promised fruit in the morning had all gone by 8 with the exception of 4 inedible green apples. When we asked for some we were told that no more was available. Unnecessary poor planning.

The M Star is a great option and exceeds expectations for Kitimat.

Clean and comfortable

Clean.

The room was modern and comfortable.

Convenient location. Quiet

Close to everything

Great Staff and coffee!!!

I always get greeted well and the staff are so nice. The rooms are nice and the facilities are nice to be in that area. Lots of walking paths close by. Definitely would go stay here again ❤️

Beautiful rooms, wonderful staff, bed and pillows were fabulous and hotel was super quiet. We were able to get a great night’s sleep. Loved the complimentary coffee, tea and muffins. Loved the personalized hand written note on the bed, letting us know they check every room before you check in. Stay was for a medical trip, but will definitely stay at this hotel in future for personal, business and medical. Thank you so much for the amazing experience!

PERFECT! The king bed was great. Morning coffee was a nice touch. And the quietness took some getting used to. No traffic sounds or sirens blaring at all hours.

Great staff

The staff really make the difference. They are friendly, polite and always helpful. I love staying at the M Star.

Warm welcome, comfortable room. Wifi so-so.

I enjoyed my stay. The room was extra nice. The staff were super nice and welcoming. Would recommend this hotel to anyone that is looking for somewhere to stay in kitimat

Nice beautiful spacious room in a mall with lots of parking

All good

Very clean, friendly staff, and nice area :)

The only problem for us was the MStar sign on the hotel. We were new to Kitimat and we couldn't see it from the road. There was a giant sign that said HOTEL, but we didn't know which one it was. This is an excellent hotel...you can put MStar in big letters as well!

Great stay which is always the case when I stay with M Star.

Excellent job Kelly!

Pro: Close to a lot of amenities Con: Town closes early.
