Very beautiful grounds and surroundings. Meticulously maintained.

Loved everything!

Lovely large room. Good to have 2 comfy chairs and not have to toss coin when only one. Good size bathroom excellent shower even if overbath. Bar meal very good

Breakfast some elements poor. overcooked bacon snapped in half white and black pudding very dry. Didn't meet expectations due to breakfast only.

The customer care/customer service was second to none. We were make to feel like valued guests from the moment we arrived. Staff seemed genuinely pleased to help, and that we had chosen to stay there. The room was really large and had everything in we needed. The view overlooked the ruined Abbey and parkland.

Breakfast, although tasty and of good quality was self service which meant it was kept on a low heat. Food which should have been crispy (bacon and hash browns) were a bit soggy.

Breakfast was just what anyone would want in the morning , staff friendly and helpful if want something else

Bar was being refurbished and consequently was closed. Drinks available via floor staff in lounge areas. Just unfortunate timing.

The expertise of the staff. Very helpful from our entrance to the breakfast room till we finished. Everything for breakfast from Porridge, fruit, juice. All types of bread. Really top class layout. Rashers sausages puddings eggs. Tea/Coffee. Hope I havent left anything out. Outstanding

There was nothing that we didn't like.

four star abbey hotel seems to think of their guests as suicidal louts, smoking in their rooms (250 Euro fine warnings everywhere ) , trying to throw themselves out of second floor windows, so now only one opens merely a hand's breadth, no matter how stuffy the room. and what annoyed me most is the bored barely friendly receptionist who would not even check if our room was ready an hour earlier but made my feverish husband sit in their lobby for an hour. The room was spacious and nicely furnished, cleanish ( dirty window with cobwebs) the view excellent, abbey ruins! slightly marred by a big gas tank, a huge parking space and an assortment of waste bins. stay there if you have to, but better if you don't!

The leisure facilities, pool, sauna, jacuzzi were excellent

Beautiful building, staff were very friendly and helpful, great location. We had a great view of the abbey from our window.

Came for a short break. The room was big and spacious, very comfortable bed.Staff were lovely.The exterior of the hotel was beautiful.

My only negative was the breakfast.They did have a great selection of cooked and continental.We sat down to eat most of the food was okay, but the hash brows were cold.

It’s clean and old world quaint. The staff at reception and pool were very nice and accommodating.

The dinner service in the restaurant was exceptionally slow . We counted at least 6 staff and with the exception of 2 guys who were v pleasant and friendly, the others all seemed totally disinterested and not customer friendly or focused. That night staff on a ground floor corridor were banging canteen carts into corners and then discussing everything at the tops of their voices despite it being 11.50pm In the morning the breakfast buffet should have been restocked more regularly.

Loved the older world feel of the hotel. The Staff were all lovely and helpful. Loved the bar/lounge layout and the bar food was lovely. The pool area Leisure was lovely and not too busy when we were there which was great. Near the centre of town which has lots of nice shops and places to eat.

Bring your own hair drier as the ones supplied in the bathroom are dreadful. See through window in our en suite with just a net curtain. No iron in the room. You could ask for one but didn't bother. These were only minor things and didn't in any way affect our stay.

I have been booking different hotels through Booking.com for the past five to seven years, and this is the first time I have experienced such a disappointing level of service at a resort. I hope these concerns will be taken seriously and addressed appropriately.

Roscommon is a great place to visit. The Abbey hotel is a nice stay for a bit of luxury.

La salle de bain était trop petite, la chasse d’eau ne fonctionnait pas correctement. Aucune place place pour poser les affaires et aucune prise. Lit un peu dur et la télé minuscule. Aucune chaîne internationale

La habitación estaba bien, espaciosa y con camas cómodas. El personal muy amable en todo momento.

Para el precio que tiene las instalaciones son un poco viejas. En especial el spa es muy justito.

Great location, lovely staff and food

Had a lovely stay in this beautiful hotel with it's fabulous grounds. The staff are so friendly, professional and helpful. The food is lovely with an excellent menu. The Leisure Centre is an added bonus.

We could hear the tv from the room next to us.

Overall the hotel and facilities aren't bad but I wouldn't say it's a four star hotel. What really let it down was the food. We ate in the bar which is nice and relaxed. I ordered a medium steak and my wife ordered a chicken salad. My steak was medium on half the steak and very well done on the other half. My wife's salad was mostly a plate of lettuce, some dried olives and fried onions, covered in oil and topped with some chicken. The breakfast had a very good choice on offer, from fresh fruit, yoghurt and cereal to a full Irish breakfast. Eggs could be ordered, poached, boiled or scrambled. I ordered 2 poached eggs but what I got was 2 half raw eggs. When I cut the eggs it ran clear. I'm not someone who complains normally as I understand the pressures that kitchen staff are under but this was totally unacceptable. I did say it to the staff and they were very apologetic and asked if there was anything they could do which I appreciate. I really hope they address this issue as I overheard a couple of other guests complaining about their meals in the bar also.

Staying for 2 nights to visit family. Frist night room was beside kitchen vent so I asked to be moved next day as couldnt sleep with noise. They moved me no problem.

Tiny bed and uncomfortable with a headboard that banged against the wall with every move, dreadful nights sleep … very little choice of food in the restaurant and shockingly overpriced

Went to Roscommon races and stayed for one night. Excellent experience, upgraded to a beautiful room, tastefully decorated and spotless clean as was entire hotel. Great food and staff exceptionally friendly , one of them definitely candidate for bartender of the year. Would recommend without a doubt. A little gem.

Good location, less than 10 min walk from Roscommon town. Air conditioning in room was good. Liked the gym, pool looked good.

Hotel interior is really dated. Breakfast could have been better, seemed a bit disorganised. Had to wait a while in reception for someone to come check me in.
