Best hotel pick if you are planning to visit the Mission Hills area and the Karoo Ice World. The mall is also just opposite for all your shopping and dining needs. Hotel decoration and vibes are chic rock trendy style. First, you will be greeted by the friendly and helpful staff at the check-in counter, particularly Diana. There is also a popcorn and cotton candy station to welcome the kids. The kids playroom also offer activities for the kids like cookie baking. Then, the room is big and spacious with all amenities provided. Bed is big and comfortable, giving us a good night's sleep every night. Hotel breakfast spread is big and tasty, and the dinner buffet is also highly recommended after a long day of play with your kids. Pool is relatively small and might get crowded. Overall, this hotel is great pick if you are visiting this area.

The overall look and decoration of the hotel is great. It is clean and the bluetooth sound system in the spacious room is nice. The breakfast was divers and nice with a great decor in the restaurant. The bed was quite comfy,

The airco unit was a jet engine and far too loud to have running at night for me. Therefore it had to be turned off by which it got quite hot in the room eventually with sweaty wake ups. And well you are in China, so not everything works as great as it looks like. e.g. the shower door did not close properly so the bathroom floor floods will showering. The drain of the bath did not open after having taken a bath so you had to pry it open with a coin. A fridge in the room that did not get very cold. Such things takes away the 5 star feeling. It would have been nice for the desk to be positioned to face the room rather than a wall. Pool closing at 19:00 is early

I stayed in an excellent room for an incredible price, the check-in, check-out (especially Cherie), concierge, Rock Royalty Lounge, Hard Rock Cafe, room service, and housekeeping staffs were just so attentive, warm, welcoming, and lovely to interact with. I truly miss this level of hospitality now that I'm in Malaysia, where the exact opposite it true. I hope to stay at the other Hard Rock properties in China as soon as I have the chance! Thank you Hard Rock Hotel Shenzhen! Also, this hotel's Hard Rock Café will always be special to me because of the tireless work ethic and kindness of its main worker, who I sadly never caught the name of, and she was the reason why we decided to dine two nights in a row here. She was so attentive, and the service was so fast. To see her managing the dining area, bar, and Rock Shop so effortlessly and always with a smile was so inspiring and heartwarming. She also was incredibly polite with my large order at the Rock Shop so late at night, and her English language skills were the best I witnessed not only throughout the entire hotel, but throughout Shenzhen!

I love that there is a live plant in the bathroom. It made the room feel less cold. I loved that the quilt has a proper quilt cover on it, and it is not sandwiched between 2 flat sheets. The shower was great, with nice water pressure.

The breakfast and the coffee. The breakfast is probably good for most, but I find it does not cater to my dietary preferences. Luckily there is a starbucks nearby and they have cold brew. I hate that the quilt is tucked in at the feet. Why do hotels do this! The bed is too hard for my liking.

Perfect location for our needs, exceptionally friendly and accommodating staff, room was very big with cool decor, free guitar rental was fun.

Cafe allowed smoking which wasn’t nice

Situated in the Mission Hills area, Hard Rock Shenzhen is a good base to start your exploration of the surrounding area. Most of the visitors I noticed were families as there were plenty of things to do there, like the Harry Potter forbidden forest, the snow world and the eco park, etc. The hotel was launched in 2017 but it must have undergone renovations as the rooms still looked and felt modern and new to me. You could find USB charging ports and LED lights on the bathroom mirror. Besides the modern amenities, the room itself was spacious, with a large round bath tub as well as separate area for shower and toilet. As for all hard rock hotels, you could borrow guitars and vinyl records so you could basically enjoy your own music inside your room. (although we didn't have time nor the talent to try these out… but they actually included a crash course on guitar playing on the TV! How thoughtful!) There was a swimming pool at the roof top but it was winter so perhaps it was not the best time to try it out. Breakfast served was buffet with both Western and Chinese food like congee and dumplings that you would get in most hotels in China. Now for the area of improvement - My only complaint was the lounge. We had opted to buy the lounge package (Royal Royalty King room) that included access to the lounge during our stay, Having been to a lounge in Hong Kong, I was really surprised the lounge was just another room that looked like a restaurant than a lounge. There were tables and chairs but no comfortable sofas and space that you would expect from a proper lounge. Even the food choice was bad. You only got a tiramisu or strawberry (bite-sized) cakes and slices of watermelons and dragon fruits and that's all. Drinks were self-served from a coffee machine or from tea bags, or u could get a can of coke or a lager from the fridge. There was a bar that had no one. Comparatively, in HK proper drinks were served from your seat and they had afternoon tea time with proper sandwiches/canapés and desserts and then a sunset happy hour session with different food and drinks. Even the paid lounges in the airports were better. So don't bother paying extra for the upgrade as it was not worth the price. (though tbh, it was not much) Overall, I think this hotel is worth your money if you need to stay in the area. The staff service was exceptional. I am a Hard Rock pin collector and before I booked the hotel I asked if they would sell any pins there and they not only answered my query but also went to take and sent me pictures of the pins available. I think this was definitely above and beyond.

Staff were very helpful and responsive. Rooms were available before check in time and good flexibility about check in and check out hours

Huge room but the kids playroom needs renewing

The worst executive lounge I've ever experienced, and I've been to many. They only served a few cookies, bread and peanuts. We had to ask to get additional food, which they provided only after asking, and then it took more than an hour to get it. Also, the following day, after I had ordered room service, someone came into my room while I was away at breakfast, even though I had the "do not disturb" sign on, and took out what was left of my room service meal. They came into my room without asking while I was gone. It made me feel very uncomfortable.

I had a pleasant stay at the Hard Rock Hotel in Shenzhen. Firstly, I like the cyber atmosphere and unique rock-themed style which created an exciting feeling. Secondly, the staffs were exceptionally helpful and willing to answer my enquiries, guiding my family how to go to the sport centre nearby. However, I was disappointed with the limited dining options available on-site, which are too expensive for me, which made me had to walk about 5 minutes to dining in the nearby shopping mall. In general speaking, it was a memorable stay, but improvements in dining variety would enhance the experience.

the hair dryer has poor connectivity and sometimes works and sometimes doesn’t. The room is reasonably clean, but a bit old. I am staying here with my family, and we have four rooms in total. Three of them have executive privileges, but when the staff found out one of our room numbers, they said we couldn't enter. They probably didn’t check properly. The hotel pool is extremely small, overcrowded with too many children, making it very cramped. This hotel seems to be a mid-range establishment, but the size of the pool is unbelievably small. Not recommend.

A beautifully designed hotel in a great location! Hard Rock Hotel Shenzhen is an excellent choice for anyone visiting the city. The hotel is beautifully designed and located right next to a metro station, with a shopping mall just across the street. We stayed in a spacious, clean, boutique-style apartment that was both comfortable and stylish. The breakfast was outstanding, offering a wide variety of delicious options. The staff were always helpful and friendly, and the hotel managers were especially efficient and professional. This is a truly high-class hotel and one I would highly recommend

Great location with convenient access to public transport (underground). The rooms are very comfortable and clean. Friendly staff and a good on-site restaurant. The hotel is located just across the street from an air-conditioned shopping mall. A modern and well-maintained place.

The staff’s communication in English needs further improvement. However, they were always willing to accommodate requests through phone translation.

Breakfast Food could have had more western options. Hard rock cafe food was good but service was terrible. Forgotten orders, food was delivered cold, and it was really quite, not busy so reason for this.

I have stayed at this hotel multiple times now. It is conventiently located between Dongguan and Shenzhen. The mall across the street offers anything you could possible miss in the hotel.

The swimming pool is opened from 10.00 to 18.00. I would like to have a swim in the evening after a long day of work.

While parents play on their phones, their ignored children will climb on chairs at your table and will touch your food. -I had to step over a toddler lying on the floor during checkout. His father was playing on his phone and didn't notice. -The pool is only open from 10:00-19:00, and is packed with unobserved children. -The elevators are not capable of serving the hotel during peak times (I waited over 10 minutes to get one that wasn't packed with people). -The halls reek of cigarette smoke, as people openly smoke in the hallways. The staff will clear the smokers out if requested. -Don't purchase anything at the gift shop. Get it on Taobao for 1/10 the price. -The internet was incredibly slow. Most searches just timed out.

Fabulous hotel! I loved it! After this experience I will always search for Hard Rock during my travels if available. The rooms are marvelous, the huge bathroom with huge round bath, wow. The corridors are great, the lifts, everywhere you feel like a pop star, haha. Services of first class.

The room is very nice and the food is fresh.The children's club on the 6th floor of the hotel had a great time，Waiter Samy Serve me warmly,The swimming pool viewing platform on the 26th floor of the hotel is a good night view place，There is a beautiful sunset to watch.That's great！

The outlook and room interior design is great! However, due to Christmas time, it could not be able to check-in on time due to the fully booking of hotel while the morning breakfast arrangement needs to be improved during peak time 9:00-10:00. Besides, the shower hot water is not hot and comfortable enough, the room temperature is too cool and the temperature controller did not work. Moreover, there is booking error between the hotel and Expedia platform such that there is only one breakfast offered for two guests per each room by the hotel but clearly mentioned breakfast included for the two guests in the booking order of Expedia. It’s fine that the hotel manager eventually willing to offer back one more breakfast per each room after several time of negotiations.

住宿體驗算好，也很方便，只是有些門較不易開關，甚至乎關不上，而我房間冷氣系統出了問題整晚難以入睡，第二天就馬上給我調房了，服務還好。

I have been booked this hotel several times and they‘re still keeping the good services and quality during we staying.

Like the room, the decor, the breakfast, the room was comfortable.

Staff in the Hard Rock Cafe were not helpful. We were given complementary coupons for food and drinks which were not explained and we were left confused as to what was actually was complementary. When the food arrived it was very poor. We had told the hotel in advance that it was our anniversary.... if these complementary tickets were a gesture of good will ....there are better ways to do.... a wine or fruit in the room or happy hour standard drinks. This was not good PR for the hotel.

Went to this hotel with my family for a few days. Location is great next to huge shopping mall etc . When we arrived you could clearly see the Unity Membership advertising, but ABSOLUTELY NO ONE had a clue about it. The same applied to Hard Rock Cafe when staff had to ring someone and we waited for ages for my points to be added. The room was nice and big , comfy bed etc but it wasn’t clean. It was covered in dust and you could smell it throughout the room , can’t open windows to let the air through. Our shower get wasn’t replaced until I asked for it. When I asked for some more coffee sachets I was told I have to pay for it. ?! Really. Staff barely speak English… okay we are in China but it’s hard when no one knows what’s going on. Kids were asked to wear a cap in a pool. Ffs in a dirty hotel they care about pool cleanliness? The pool staff were actually amazing ! The rest rude and didn’t wanna know .. I wouldn’t return

This the first time to live Hard Rock Hotel Shenzhen. It was out of my expectations. The location of the hotel is good, it is very near by the Karoo Ice Show, and a big shopping mall just opposite to the hotel. Also my child very enjoyed the cooking workshop that provided by the hotel.

The location was good because outside of the centre of Shenzhen. Easy to get there on the Metro, Line 4.

It’s not that I didn’t like it, I just found it strange that reception was on the 5th floor.

Dust are everywhere in the room and bathroom. There are stains on the bedsheets. Only one socket has electricity supply in the whole room and bathroom, we had to call someone to fix this. The power is out all of a sudden in the middle of night , we needed to ask for help again. This is unbelievable! We tried the breakfast and lunch buffet at the hotel and it was ok, the price was reasonable. We wrote to the hotel to ask if there are kids amenities but no reply at all. When we arrived we found out that they do provide kids toothbrush, toothpaste and slippers. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful in general. But we will not come back again.

We booked a suite and it was excellent. The view, the decoration, the size of the room. Breakfast was very good as well. The room we booked was supposed to have access to the executive lounge, but there wasn’t much happening there, maybe it was closed. They offered us a daily happy hour treat at the hard rock cafe on 1st floor instead.

There was a second toilet in the suite, but it didn’t have towels nor soap. The requirement to wear a swimming cap to access the swimming pool is completely unnecessary

Used to be good and up to expectations, kids like it. Now still good but not good as a five star one. Small TV screen, breakfast buffet has fewer choices, swimming pool not clean.

Excellent hotel, great service and location

The location of the hotel is great. With a big shopping mall with loads of restaurants just across the street. The rooms are clean and tidy with a big bathtub. The hotel staff are very helpful and friendly. Will definitely stay there again.
