Overall, the hotel was clean, but the mini fridge wasn’t properly cleaned, and the extra bed cover in the closet didn’t look very fresh. On the positive side, the staff were very helpful and friendly. Special shoutout to Berat; congratulations on Galatasaray’s win.

Good amenities for the price. Staff was friendly and kind and spoke English which was very convenient. Clean bed sheets and linens. Nice extra perks such as free coffee and hot chocolate machine, as well as rosehip tea made daily, with a nice veranda to sit in. There was also a kitchen on the premises and family room for the kids to play and hang out in.

staff was nice and helpful. property smells very bad, no elevator and stairs are vey hard to climb with insufficient light, bedroom so small hard to move around in It's unable. to handle our two suit cases easily. surrounding. are very tight streets ,uneven roads very dangerous to walk safely, with cars driving fast around us, place no good for older people with mobility issues.

It was excellent.

I had a great time in Istanbul, the hotel was located really close to the Sultanahmet T1 station and that was helpful. But the best part of our staying there was the staff, specially Berat, he went the extra mile every time we needed anything, guidance, help, comments or suggestions, thank you Berat!!!

Its good for group but not for family

The Hôtel is very good place ,bute the local isnot attractif because is behind everything and so hard to access.

I don’t usually write reviews, but this place was unbelievably bad. The room was filthy when we arrived – dust everywhere, stained sheets, and a disgusting smell of mold and dampness. The bathroom looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks, with hair in the sink and mold in the shower. The staff at the front desk were rude and unhelpful. Every time we asked for assistance, they either ignored us or gave vague excuses. The walls were paper thin – we could hear every word from the neighboring rooms. Breakfast was a complete joke: cold, tasteless, and clearly not fresh. Nothing like the photos they advertise online. This place is a scam. I would NEVER stay here again and strongly recommend that you look elsewhere. Spend your money on literally any other hotel – it can’t be worse than this one.

The location is wonderful very close to the sea and most of touristic places, the staff was fabulous and very friendly.

Property is okay

It was a very neat and clean place with a great location, accessible to the popular areas, bus and treme. It was only 4-5 minutes walk to the water and you can see the sunrise every morning. The staff are very polite and nice! I followed their recommendations and I was not disappointed at all. 100% recommended if you want to have a budget friendly experience with great service.

Definitely would stay here again. The staff were super easy going and were very patient with us. One thing to note is that they personally don’t offer free breakfast, but their sister hotel does. They are also located in near everything which was super convenient for us because we walked literally everywhere .

Great location, pretty basic rooms but all amenities present in the room. Chose this place for good prices near to blue mosque area.

Comfortable and nice receptionist staff. Excellent location, close to popular sites, restaurants & shops. The local tram for transportation was about a 12 min walk away. The double room was small so if you have lots of luggage, try to get a larger room than just a double bed room. Quiet at night, no clubs nearby.

My go-to hotel in Istanbul. The best staff ever.

I booked “Ferman Konak Hotel Special Class VIP access” through Expedia, but when I arrived, the place was completely different from what was advertised. I reached the accommodation at 2 AM, and the next morning, I immediately contacted Expedia to inform them that the photos advertised their website were actually from a nearby hotel called Ferman Hotel. We visited that hotel and confirmed it matched the advertised images. The place we stayed in felt more like a rented room in someone’s house. The road outside was littered with rubbish, and there was ongoing construction. Breakfast wasn’t even served at the same place. The entire experience was terrible, especially since I had travelled for medical reasons. The building reeked of cigarette smoke, there was severe mold in the bathroom which triggered my asthma, the hot water was not enough, the shower drainage was constantly blocked which probably caused the mold as well, and upon check-in, the staff informed me that I had been “upgraded” to a three-person room—without asking if that was something I wanted. When I got to the room, I realised there were no mirrors, despite them being shown in the Expedia photos. I feel completely scammed by this booking. I contacted Expedia immediately, and nearly three weeks later, I am still waiting for a response. Every time I call, I’m told they are waiting for the property to get back to them. I am at a loss for words.

Great place with super nice staff. Berot and Emirhan were very nice ans helped us make all arrangements. 5 of us were able to have a comfortable stay.

Excellent experience overall special service by Latif was exceptional. Location was perfect only 5 mins walk to Sultanahmet square.

This is a very good kept, quaint hotel. All rooms are equipt with toilet and shower facilities with shower gel, shampoo, hand wash and tea/coffee making facilities. There is also a communal kitchen and seating area on the ground floor with free hot drinks and mineral water. The location is perfect as it is a very short walk away from restaurants and shops as well as The Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia(Sultan Ahmet Square) as well as Topkapi Palace/Museum. The staff as very helpful and friendly. I would recommend this hotel to all.

Incredible location, like 5 minute walk to Blue Mosque. The staff is so incredibly helpful and they can help you arrange many tours and such with pickup and drop off service to the airport. The only thing that’s a bit is the room is not impeccable but it’s not bad.

My family and I had an excellent stay at Ferman Konak. The location is perfect as all the major attractions are within walking distance. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the hotel staff were very friendly & helpful. They also helped book a Bosporus tour for us as well as arranged airport transfers. Free tea and coffee is available in the foyer, and breakfast is at their other branch which is only 1 minute walk away where you get views of the Blue Mosque, Aya Sofia and Bosporus. Breakfast variety was excellent and only €5 per person which is great value for money. Overall we would definitely book this hotel again next time we visit Istanbul!

This one of the hotels that is hard to rate as you will have mixed feelings about it. The place vibe is really good, service is good too , yet location and entrance is not that much.. i traveled with my family and we got a connected room. The room amenities and cleanness were superb.

Friendly staff and great location

This was an absolutely amazing experience, not because of the hotel, but because the amazing staff. Latif and Emir are absolute stars, amazing hospitality, great knowledge and advice, but most importantly, they made us feel like VIPs. They were busy, but still took the time to converse with us, always offered drinks, shared their excellent knowledge of the city. It really felt like home. The hotel was great too, the garden is a great area to sit and relax, have your meals, and enjoy the July heat. Cant recommend this hotel enough, thanks to Latif and Emir. Wish you both a lot of success in life!

A small yet cozy hotel with clean room and bed. Location though is not that great with narrow road access only. Staff are awesome!!!

This hotel is in the old city and close to attractions. Our room was small but adequate for a short stay and extremely good value for the price. The breakfast was served around the corner on a rooftop with spectacular views, great food and cheap. It’s a very touristy section which for the first time visitor makes sense. The restaurants are expensive by local standards and there seems to be a lot of enthusiasm to get you into a carpet shop or the like. We loved our few days in Istanbul, couldn’t fault the service at the hotel.

EXCELLENT service from the team at Ferman Konak. Accommodation is perfectly acceptable but what you're really paying for is the location and the service (especially from Latif who is amazing). Little things like free bottled water, warm greetings and getting a level of getting care is so refreshing when you're treated by the numbers elsewhere. Highly recommend.

An old styled Ottoman hotel is a short walk to major sights and lots of restaurants. Arrival is a bit bleak down alley by railway line, but inside the staff are welcoming and the rooms are fine. Small but modern bathroom. Courtyard for coffee is pleasant. No views but staff and positioning make it great value for money. It is an old and always remodeling city so this hotel is one you will remember . It is not a bland anywhere hotel.

This hotel is a hidden gem in Sultanahmet. It is a traditional Ottoman style building with big rooms. It is very clean, nicely decorated and staff are amazing. It is very close to historical sites in Sultanahmet and the seaside which is great for exploring the old city walls. I stayed in a famous hotel on the same street a few days ago, which was awful. This one is miles better than that. No breakfast in the hotel but they offer nearby place for a reasonable price. Saying that I enjoy having breakfast in different places near the historical sites. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who is interested in exploring the main landmarks. And they provide free tea and coffee both in the room and the reception area. It has a garden where you can relax and read your book etc. I loved this place and yes, I would stay again.

Lovely place to stay, good location, very friendly and helpful staff.

Very close to Blue Mosque as its inside the historic district, and nice walk to different restaurants and local bazaars. We used Google Maps to just do walking tours on our own and this is the perfect spot. Room was large for family size and was discounted. They also booked our hotel to airport transfer.

We had a good stay at this property for one night. It is very small and the staff are very helpful and friendly. The only downside was that our room was on the first floor and the front desk was only a few feet away from our door so it was a bit noisy for sleeping. Overall would recommend.

Service and location is great. At the heart of old town. This hotel does not disappoint! It could be a 4 star quite easily but other factors do take effect. Would recommend to anyone and would definitely revisit.

We have been to Istanbul many times and know the Sultanahmet area well. The hotel is located ver close to Topkapi, Ayasofia and the Blue Mosque, making it ideal for tourists. Trams and shopping are within walking distance. We picked the hotel for its location and value for money and were not disappointed. The reception staff could not have been more helpful and it was clean. Breakfast was available for 240TL at the sister hotel round the corner. The all you can eat buffet was great value for money. The only thing I would have liked is some comfortable seating in the cafe area to sit and read a book. The tables and chairs weren’t comfortable for a long period of time but I guess most people are out most of the time so maybe it’s not a big issue. Would certainly stay here again.

the room feels really small and there's limited space to even put your suitcases down and open them- its a tight squeeze and I find it difficult to justify the price our booking was meant to be city view but it was more so garden view. you cant see the blue mosque from here but you can definitely hear the than there's no lift in the building and the stairs are narrow and winding the hotel itself is located 10mins walk from sultanahmet area (although an uphill walk) Amir on night duty was really helpful in helping us book taxis, arrange for a wheelchair hire for my grandma, help us understand the metro map and even deliver food to the hotel using his app

The location is excellent! It’s in close proximity to the main sites. The staff are very friendly and willing to offer guidance on the local sites and amenities. We would stay again in future!

Good hotel in central location, within walkable distance of many attractions

Very good experience; the guys ar the front desk was amazingly helpful. The only thing I like to warn people about the step staircase.

We had a group family vacation of 17 people all coming from different countries. We had a total of 5 rooms booked to accommodate. All rooms were clean and spacious. There is a livingroom/salon area for us to sit back and chat in, a huge kitchen that was stacked with everything one would need, and a cute indoor/outdoor seating area. The hotel itself was charming and authentic. The staff were very helpful and accommoding. They even arranged a Bosphorus breakfast cruise for us with transportation. Walkable to the Blue Mosque, Ayasofia, tons of restaurants, the tram, and a 10 min walk to McDonald's and Burger King , which was a blessing for my sometimes picky kids. Our stay at Ferman was pleasant, enjoyable and stress-free. Would highly recommend staying here , especially if travelling with a large group, we had the place to ourselves!

Small little hotel close to Blue mosque and Hagia Sofia. The hotel does not offer free breakfast but it has a 24 hours coffee machine in the kitchen area the garden area is nice to eat meals or just relax. The staff was very nice and helpful. The room was clean and spacious. The beds weren’t the most comfortable but for the price no complaints. Overall we enjoyed our one night stay at Ferman Konak. I’d highly recommend this hotel for budget travelers to Istanbul.

Great service

We family loved the old-fashioned atmosphere of the room with wooden ceiling and wall. We felt like staying home. Staffs are very kind. The room cleaning is excellent.

The Staff go beyond the call of duty to help you out. Calling cabs, advising sites and timing etc. It was as if we have permanent travel agent on site. The staffs are active 24/7 ready to serve. Hot Tea and water all free 24/7. We did find our room to be smaller and narrow than what is shown on site.

Lovely place

this is a very cozy hotel ideal for families located a few blocks from main Istanbul attractions ideal for a family who is planning to stay for a few days in the city

Cute little hotel. Breakfast was served (for 5 euro) at their sister hotel, which was a 3 minute walk away. Water pressure and hot water was fine. The room had a kettle for making tea. You will hear the call to prayer. The stairs up to the second floor were a bit steep, but the hotel manager checked me in and carried my suitcase upstairs. They have tea and coffee available in their kitchen area any time of day.

it is not easy to find this hotel, and the surrounding environment is not ideal. We were given the wrong room when check-in but reception then upgrade to the new room when we found the mistake.

Stayed for 3 nights for my husbands 50th, lovely hotel, the staff especially Dogan , could not do enough for you, extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and had everything you could want. The breakfast is at their sister hotel round the corner, buffet style , amazing selection and plenty of it, you sit on a roof top terrace and can see all the sites around you. For 5 euros each definately not to be missed. Would highly recommend staying here and would go back.

Me and my friends stayed here for a night . It’s quit sketchy when shuttle cruise around the area coz we arrive around 11pm . The street still have a lot of people walking around But in the morning you will love it! The Hagia Sofia , Basilica Cistern . Blue Mosque & etc is just 4-6 minutes walk . Sultanahmet is one of the oldest district in Istanbul . The room and specially the bathroom was clean .The receptionist ( I forgot their names) these young men were so respectful , accommodating and helpful. The only disadvantage is the stairs is not good for older people and we have to walk about a minute to go to Fermann Hotel for Breakfast. But all in all it’s a good place to stay on a budget.

The customer service was awesome and the cleaning lady was very kind and did a great job. The front desk was very helpful and made the stay enjoyable. The location was great and is very close to great sights. The hotel itself is very nice and it has a nice sitting area that is outside. They have many services available such as dry cleaning, ironing and a coffee and tea machine downstairs. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Everything was great from the check in to the check out, the receptionists, Latif and Dogan, were extremely perfect & cooperatives and very friendly. The hotel only lacks of rooms sound insulation, you hear everything that happens outside the room and even who is talking on the street, in addition to the absence of blinds for the windows that block the light

The hotel is conveniently located walking distance to some significant attractions such as Blue Mosque and Grand Bazaar. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They arranged for an airport transfer, the sunset cruise (which was wonderful) and hammam. Highly recommend this place for the location and cost. The only major inconvenience was that there is construction happening near the hotel that makes very loud noises (we were told it will be a bike trail and possibly a train line). But it’s not the fault of the hotel. If it’s a deciding factor, reach out to the hotel to find out of the construction is still happening. It was very loud in the morning when we were trying to sleep. It woke me up but not my kids.

The Ferman Konak Hotel is an excellent place to stay in Istanbul. We had a great space for our family of 5 including plenty of space, a small kitchen area and comfortable beds. Everything was clean and nice. The staff was also super helpful. They helped arrange airport transfers and had drinks available when we arrived. They also gave us an excellent overview of things we could do in Istanbul and helped call and make reservations for a show we wanted to attend. The location is also fantastic within easy walking distance of the blue mosque, grand bazaar, spice bazaar and topkapi palace. We would highly suggest this hotel and would stay here again the next time we are in Istanbul.

The staff at this hotel are fantastic, I had the misfortune of being unwell during my stay and they really went above and beyond to help. The rooms are small but comfortably furnished and immaculately clean and the location very central. Overall a really fantastic hotel.

Charming hotel in a fabulous quiet location. Easy walk to all the sights. Awesome rooftop breakfast was a great deal. The staff goes above and beyond to serve their guests. Adorable patio is a nice place to relax and plan for the next day.

Very comfortable hotel,the sea view rooms are amazingly beautiful but we found a slippers and a lighter under the bed, the housekeeping next day cleaned but didn’t put water bottles , breakfast buffet is beyond perfect, internet was average in the rooms , over all, amazing stay,I would comeback to this amazing hotel every time I will visit Izmir
