Great location
Bathrooms are tired
Lovely staff, very pleasant & helpful. The food was great

Location was good. staff were very helpful Evening meal and breakfast excellent Very useful to have a Waitrose next door Bed was comfortable
Room was very small and tired looking . We managed to get window open with difficultly for some fresh air.
Nice staff Large bathroom with tube Directly at the Wales Coast Path Next to Waitrose and bus station Excellent food
La literie est très confortable. Le restaurant est excellent et les personnels sont extrêmement gentils.
Clean, well catered for. Staff so helpful.
No lift. Noisy until closing time
Lovely location with great parking Dinner was absolutely gorgeous The cooked breakfast was ok with a great selection of fresh fruit, yogurts and pastries
Room quite noisy
Plenty of parking, staff very welcoming, good service, comfy rooms, lovely breakfast.
Breakfast on the first morning was excellent, however the breakfast the second day was disappointing & cold. The bed was really comfortable & so was the bedding.
The breakfast on the second day was extremely disappointing.
Location , restaurant staff all good
Unfortunately we stayed when there was heatwave and no air con in the bedroom or window that opened more than a couple of inches. It was the last room available was at the side of the hotel the window was blanked out it was noisy because of air con/ extractors that were housed on lower roof outside. I’m sure it was not typical of other bedrooms and it wouldn’t put us off staying again but I would check room location before booking again
Location idea for Greenwood family park and welsh mountain zoo. Hotel bar and restaurant, warm, cosy and lovely quality food. Staff helpful and friendly
Rooms very noisy, thin walls, even on 2nd floor could hear music, people in next rooms talking, snoring. Manageable for one night but couldn't stay longer with little sleep
La posizione è molto comoda, la camera è spaziosa e al ristorante si mangia molto bene
Il letto matrimoniale era fatto da due letti singoli uniti, con due materassi. In camera non c’era un vero armadio. Il servizio è lento e un po’ macchinoso.
Staff were friendly and helpful, rooms were clean and comfortable, location is ideal for exploring North Wales with kids (boys age 7 and 9)
The staff were excellent, thank you also to the dark haired young lady on the desk who gave us some helpful info on places to visit, I saw 3 of those seaside towns today ty, and thank you to the blonde lady who helped me take my suitcase upstairs The breakfast was amazing, the room was wow
Everything beautiful location lovely hotel Lovely staff
Nothing
Verder was alles top!
Great location
Being in the top room loads of steps and room being very warm
The location is great , staff were nice
For the price the room was very small and basic , the drainage in shower and toilet weren't great , and the bathroom door was broken , they were aware of the issue as it was the same for last people that stayed but someone came to fix it as we were settling down before going out so wasnt the best timing
Will certainly look forward to going again, our visit was short and there's a lot more to explore in its immediate surroundings.
The atmosphere and the renewed decor
For the price the room was very small and the toilet had a slide door which due to weight was almost impossible to move. So uncomfortable when going toilet

It is very rare that as a family of 8 we have a great all round experience when we go out for a meal. After eating here twice during our holiday to Anglesey in July, we had a fabulous time, the food was freshly prepared, tasty and delicious. The staff we wonderful, helpful and attentive and even remembered us on our second visit which was lovely. The team catered well for our two gluten free diners and one of our children with an egg and peanut allergy. My daughter was thrilled with the vegan donut option on the kids dessert menu! Our only regret is that we didn't eat here more during our holiday. This pub is real gem, you definitely need to visit!
Staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Rooms were very comfortable and clean. The hotel is situated in an excellent position just over the other side of the bridge.
Food and staff were excellent.
Very small hot bedroom (101) about 9ft x 10ft there was very little space for bags or anything so the floor was used and we had to be carefull not to trip over them. Noisy Hotel Kitchen aircon Unitil 10:30 outside the vey hard to open window, but also waitrose nextdoor had a very high pitched aircon/extracter going all night. Doors in hotel were always slamming from other guests which made the walls shudder, so early night is out of the question. the ensuite was tiny. The shower was big enough but tiny sink and a very noisy slidding door which didn't seem to be on runners just slidding over the floor. No hot water in the morning.
Lovely location with nicely set out, clean restaurant. Food was expensive for what it was - arrived simply on a plate rather than being presented with any apparent flair or imagination. Expensive for what were small portions across all courses. Steak was cold rather than warm having been rested. Chips were excellent however. Staff were friendly and efficient.
Everything, the room was spacious and spotless and we had a great night sleep.the food was excellent staff were brilliant..no complaints at all.we were made so comfortable in the Anglesey hotel thank you.....from Michelle and Michael.
Nothing
Very clean, all but one of the staff were very pleasant, lots of parking, spaces, had a fan in the room which was needed and liked the nearby Waitrose.
Room was small - shower was so small it was difficult to get in. For the price, breakfast was very ungenerous. 1 mushroom, half a tomato, 1 medium sausage .... it was like rationing. Toast was 1 piece of bread cut in half, the coffee jug provided one cup. I disliked keeping having to ask for more. No glasses for fruit juice on the second day, and the fruit was all lumped together so difficult to select.
Pleasant staff. Hotel located in a good position with large carpark. Breakfast good. Nice garden.
Great nice breakfast
Room a bit on the small side
1st time that I've stayed here and it was excellent in every way. The food is exceptional as were the staff. Great atmosphere too.
Nothing. It was excellent.

Fabulous breakfast
Lovely hotel and great location - I have stayed before and is still very good
Nothing
Very friendly staff, great bar, comfortable room, fan provided and on in the room when we checked in.
Couldn’t get hot water in shower.
Good selection
Worth a visit post refurb. Really lovely venue , tastefully done up. Thoroughly enjoyed our meals which were nicely presented and very tasty.
lovely breakfast, evening meal in the restaurant was excellent and the staff were very friendly and easy going, allowing us to be flexible with our table booking to allow us to meet and have a drink outside in the sunshine before dining
The door would benefit from having a carpet strip on it to block out the landing lights, which were on 24hours and did shine through the gap under the door. Tiny thing really and easily corrected with a rolled up towel on the floor
What a beautiful stay we had here, the staff are so helpful and the bedrooms had everything in to make our stay comfortable, even during a heat wave! the fan was a welcomed addition. Food in the restaurant was lovely. I will stay again for sure. Next time i will get around to playing the giant Jenga!
Convenient parking
Uncomfortable room, small bed, bad value, tiny bathroom
Lovely atmosphere
Nothing
Ideale locatie als je van de Holyhead Ferry komt. De pub oogde erg gezellig maar helaas waren we te laat voor het restaurant.
Kleine, muffe, gedateerde kamer. Personeel meer focus op restaurant dan hotel. Kortom er was eigenlijk geen tijd voor ons.Te duur dus voor wat je krijgt.
Friendly

The Anglesey Arms is a wonderful family and dog friendly hotel, set in the perfect location, for exploring Anglesey and Wales. The staff were all very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. The room was great and very spacious and clean, with a very comfortable bed. Just wish we’d had air conditioning, although we did have a fan which helped. We brought our dog, who on arrival received a treat box full of goodies, which was a nice touch. The restaurant and bar area is spacious with modern decor, they also have outside seating and a children’s play area. It was very peaceful sat out in the evening listening to the birds singing, whilst eating our meal. The breakfast is amazing, there was so much choice to choose. We went for a cooked breakfast, which did not disappoint. Overall The Anglesey Arms Hotel is definitely worth a visit and is a stone’s throw from the Menai Strait, which is a must. Hopefully we’ll be back, one day.
The staff were brilliant, really friendly and attentive. We loved the location which was very close to where we were meeting our friends. The outside patio was lovely and cool for breakfast and the cooked breakfast was delicious.
The room was at the front of the hotel so was a little noisy but it didn’t bother us too much. The decor is a little jaded but everything worked well and the shower was hot and strong. Comfy beds too.
We were here for a family funeral. We were given our own room for a late lunch which was in the conservatory area at the back of the building with access to the patio and a grassed picnic area, Ideal. The staff were pleasant and helpful and the lunch was good. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Beautiful garden and landscape.
Good selection of food items Good service.
Booked Sunday lunch for Father’s Day and wasn’t disappointed! It was extremely busy but service was great and food arrived in good time. The food itself was delicious (oh the lamb was melt in the mouth!) Will be back again real soon!
Room cosy and spotlessly clean with. Staff exceedingly helpful. Food delicious and nicely served.
Difficult access to bedroom for disabled husband.
The location was perfect for us and the staff were very nice. Good bar and restaurant. It was a real bonus that there was an EV charger available.
Nothing.
Perfect location for our needs
No AirCon in bedroom and only one window opened for ventilation room 103
Lovely staff especially David at breakfast.
Good food
Very friendly staff. We had a great time.
Good location with free parking, breakfast was great.
Room was a little small.
Great location, great hotel bar and resturant. We went as Golf group of 12 and we're looked after fantastically!! From the moment we walked in the staff service was amazing. Easy check in with great staff, rooms roomy clean and modern, bar area busy with great serving staff, breakfast and Resturant food and staff amazimg nothing to much trouble when trying to satisfy 12 golfers!! J W Lees you should be very proud of the entire team at this hotel.
Great evening, we all enjoyed our lovely meal . Will be calling in again . The. Service was great atmosphere was great and a lovely host behind the bar .
Excellent evening meal and breakfast
Called for some tea and from the moment we stepped though the door, we was made welcome our waiter David was extremely helpful and friendly. The food was excellent and the price was very good. Can't recommend enough.
A well run hotel
No lifts
The staff were exceptional and couldn't be more helpful. The atmosphere was buzzing in the bar. The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was fresh and tasty Can highly recommend.
A little slow in the dining room in the evening but not a problem.
Good location and parking.
Evening meal was very poor , although. In fairness it was not charged for.
Breakfast was good quality and generous amount.
Bicycles had to stay outside in the rain.
Virkelig hyggeligt hotel med god mad
The bed was very comfortable. Room had everything you needed. The food was delicious. The location was lovely.
The shower wasn't very powerful or very warm.
Quiet atmosphere with lovely seating. Food was absolutely delicious but the best thing about our meal was Dave’s service, he was immediately welcoming and fast. He took care of our every need and was happy to answer all and every question we had.
we started with the prawn and mussels, then we both had the duck as a main, good was gorgeous the jus on the duck definitely star of the show! Dave was our waiter, absolutely wonderful service, what a lovely man :) will return again soon!
Nice hotel met all my needs
Really helpful making space for our cycles in a secure location. Outdoor space is lovely Good location so close to the Menai Bridge Excellent choice at breakfast
Very welcoming and hospitable. Just there one night on our way to Holyhead. Conveniently placed next to Waitrose, which was useful Small but warm and cosy bedroom, very clean . Bed very comfortable.Food good and well priced with a good atmosphere in restaurant. Would definitely recommend this place
Fantastic food and service. Never lets us down. Friendly staff and lovely atmosphere. Visit regularly and always good.
We had breakfast on three mornings. The choices were excellent as was the food. Staff were on hand and helpful but not intrusive. When asked for a variation to the cooked breakfast this was given. We had two evening meals in the restaurant: starters and mains. All were well presented and excellent value for money. Again the service from the staff was good, polite and friendly.
We had no complaints with our room, the service or the meals.
The best meal we have enjoyed out in a long while. We will definitely be returning The atmosphere was brilliant. The staff were fantastic and great value for money
Called in on the way to Benllech. Never fails to produce lovely meals and has never disappointed. Staff very friendly and also dog friendly.
I had a lovely experience here. We arrived early and the staff went out of their way to make sure we could check in ahead of time, which was really appreciated. The household staff, restaurant team (including the managers), and bar staff were all fantastic — friendly, attentive, and professional throughout. The food was great with plenty of choice, and everything ran smoothly. I couldn’t fault a thing.
I stayed at this hotel for one night with my 7-year old during the Easter holidays. We took the ferry to holyhead and the main purpose of our visit was to see Caernafron castle. This hotel was a gem in the ideal location. An old pub with a small number of rooms, charming and comfortable. The staff were excellent. We stayed from 6th-7th April and I cannot remember the names of the staff on reception on the morning of the 7th. They were also serving breakfast and were just lovely. Very welcoming. We would definitely stay here again!
Great location and comfortable
Lots of stairs
The breakfast was very good good choice
The only thing that let it down were the inside of the window frames needed to have a good clean and the silicone around the bath needed to be replaced.
Visited with a friend on Thursday evening 30th of May lovely greeting quick seating excellent value Will and the lady waitress was amazing always always happy and smiling
It is right over church island on Menai straights a peaceful delightwith the Menai bridge majestically framing above the swirlls of the seaway between GWENETH and Angelsay. A wee historic gem
Too short a stay in this gem
I usually stay in a Premier Inn when I’m in this area however I was booked into this lovely hotel and I have to say I’m gonna find it impossible to go back to a premier upon arrival. The welcome that I received that reception was prompt and felt personal and the rooms are just lovely clean well catered for and spacious. I went down to dinner and was immediately greeted by Dave who was just world class showed me to my table and took my order for drinks and my food throughout the evening I was also looked after by Anya who was so lovely and I assume she’s quite new because when I said I was going to write a review on the world class service that I received she said it would be her first review so I’m glad to be that person that could feedback such a wonderful customer service and skills so for me the three people that I came in contact with upon my arrival are Alan Dave and Anya who are just world class if you haven’t tried this place you must it’s very reasonably priced. The area is stunning and the food is just world class and all very reasonably priced. Can’t wait for my breakfast and I certainly will be back again, thank you, Roger Davies.
Good good and bar areas, very popular.
Nice staff
Small room, quite shabby
Breakfast was nice and bed was good
Forgot about us when ordered dinner .starter came then nothing else .then charged for it .water not very hot in room
The breakfast......
Leaving after one day
Good breakfast! Friendly staff!
View of a roundabout not great!
Séjour très agréable. Très bonne literie, petit-déjeuner très complet, personnel attentionné et possibilité de profiter du pub ou du restaurant. Très bon point de départ pour visiter l'île d' Anglesey. Les chambres sont au calme malgré cela.
Rien.
Lovely breakfast.
Friendly, comfortable
All good
I was invited to a meal for a family members retirement. We were well looked after and the food was great!
Room was clean, food was good, hotel in good location.
The room was very small, with nowhere to store anything. No bedside table on one side, the bathroom basin was very small. It was necessary to turn on the bathroom light with the sliding door open, so it lit up the bedroom and woke the other guest.
i fid think our room was small for the cost bit parking and breakfast included gave it the scores we have given.
Plenty of parking, good food and comfortable rooms.
Excellent location and setting! The staff were incredible y helpful and friendly!
Bathroom was not very clean, lots of black mould in bathroom
The location was superb and the food in the restaurant both breakfast and evening meal was excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful
The hotel just seemed a little tired and in need of refurbishment. In example our room had loose electric sockets, the tap in the bathroom required tightening and on the day of arrival there was a lack of hot water
The location was great, very eady access and plenty of parking. Just Anglesey side of the bridge which was perfect for me.
It seemed there wasn't enough staff. I waited 10 minutes just to check in. The staff though, were really friendly and helpful. The room had everything I needed and there was plenty of tea and coffee and 2 bottles of water. My evening meal was spot on and a great pint too. The food was excellent value for money. I didn't have 2 or 3 courses but 3 courses was only £20 from a fixed menu and I think £16 for the 2 course so great value.
Good location Comfortable beds
Bathroom very cold as it needed a replacement window Average breakfast
Not much
Very small room and bed. Certainly not worth what was charged. Breakfast was dissapointing.
A spacious, comfortable and clean stay! Particularly good for those that enjoy an evening at the pub :)
Quite expensive.
Was a business trip booking but the stay let down by bathroom quality and condition. Bedroom quality is dated and pillows very uncomfortable...
