Provider-sourced guest reviews.
Check-in was excellent, the room was clean and comfortable, check-out was also excellent and staff were all friendly and helpful. The location was great and the parking was about 2 mins walk away.
Nothing.
Location - centre of town no more than 5 minutes walk Nice comfy bed All areas clean and tidy Nice bar with good selection of drinks All staff we encountered were cheery and helpful
Rooms at front of the hotel face a very busy precinct but that is beyond the control of the hotel
The staff were wonderful. While they had stress from a malicious customer, they remained cheerful, helpful and attentive.
Nothing bad happened!on
The location
The blood stains on the pullow. The broken connection on the tv set The fire alarm problems on the Saturday night The children running up and down the corridor at 1am.
Very friendly staff, nice bar and very nice breakfast. Only thing my girlfriend was missing (as a real Dutch girl) was cheese at breakfast 😃
If you have a room at the street side there is much noise from people in the street who are at music bars and a discotheque in the street. We were in the hotel in the weekend, maybe on other days it will be more quiet.
The rooms were well equipped with most every amenity, including safe, ironing board, TV. We did not eat there but the pub was warm and cozy.
It was okay for just me, but had there been two of us the room would have been tight.
Central location and very clean rooms .
I was in room 107 very very noisy. Extractor fan ran the whole night and in a small room it was reverberating around the walls. Also very vey noisy guests .
Amamzing location especially if you are a Rugby School parent.
Staiors and size of rooms
The hotel was in a pedstrian area no access for a car. Had park off site in ASDA Car park ovwr night at a cost of £5.40 for 24 hrs. The room was small had to climb over the small double bed to get in and out of it.
Being given the information about the hotel being in a pedestrian area and details of parking.
Urey clean and close to town
Little warm but our fault as didn’t notice the fan until leaving 🙄
The olde world charm. The excellent breakfast.
No chance of an evening meal because of a wedding.
Breakfast was very good, made to order
Conveniently located in the centre of Rugby. Parking was reasonably priced and close by. Accommodation was reasonably priced. Staff were helpful.
The room was smaller than expected. The bed was not a full sized double and with it being against the wall in a small room, it felt quite claustrophobic and airless. We had an issue with the sink - the plug got stuck so the water would not drain. We were offered another room, but we chose to stay in the same room given the amount of luggage we had with us.
Clean, plenty of room for a stay on my own. Comfortable bed, Tv, kettle, hairdryer & a lovely shower.
Nothing to report.
Reception lady was really busy but gave great service
Information about car parking was confusing
Tranquilla pulita e staff cordiale
Great location in centre of town. Clearly been a lovely hotel historically.
Despite a renovation of rooms the public areas were very tired. Options for food and beverage were limited and basic. No AC. Sofa bed very uncomfortable
Great location

Good central location and friendly staff
A top floor room during the summer was like a sauna, even with a fan, it was hard to sleep. Very small bathroom, in a room called ‘executive’.
Very nice and helpful staff. Good location and room
Heart of town Nice rooms - modernised
Parking is a little tricky if you need an early start, if not Asda is perfect and closely located
It was central and very clean
Our television didn’t work but as we needed an early start the next day it wasn’t problem. Then I forgot to tell the manager.
Good location with easy parking. Comfy bed. Complementary coffee, tea, bottled water, toiletries.
Nothing
The location was great, staff were helpful and friendly, the room was clean and the bed was comfy
The single room didn’t have a full length mirror, or a mirror on the dressing table. Not ideal if you’re staying there for an event and dressing up.
Really friendly staff couldnt be more helpful. Comfy and clean rooms couldnt fault it. Worth the money if booking cheap hotel
Location.
The bed was comfy. The bathroom was good.
It said it was a double room but it was a 4 ft bed against the wall. Okay for one but not a double.
Very good omelette at breakfast. Bed comfortable, good shower, friendly and helpful staff. Rooms have obviously been refurbished.
Public areas are a bit ‘tired’ - paintwork and carpeting in corridors and staircase could benefit from updating.
Your right in the town in the high street perfect location walking distance from the train station, a car park and the best pub crawls. Friendly staff and definitely back again
No problems
Location was great for what we needed
Bathroom was compact for a delux room
2nd time staying this visit we stayed in room 211 it was really comfortable great size very clean lovely staff

Proximity to the school......and town shops.
Staff sickness meant no bar food, one evening. Many stairs to climb ( 2 floors ). It's an old building, of course. Rooms are small.........but adequate.
Clean linen, comfortable beds. Lovely building with much potential. Friendly staff.
.Junior suite right by kitchen extractor - noisy in room from 7am. Hot water took an age to come throught. Decor throughout tired - corridors, rooms, bar. Limited evening menu. Understaffed. Couldn't find staff when tea coffee supplies in room ran out. Area has many empty shops and feels run down.
Central location.
Noisy local close to local bars .
Breakfast
Bar selection poor
Room was clean and tidy. Bed was comfortable Modern Bathroom.
Couldn't get the TV to work. Only 4 milks provided, should be more.
Very clean and the bed was so comfortable, nice and quiet , had a great sleep The open fire in the downstairs lounge was very warm and cosy , perfect for just before bed.
I couldn’t fault it, you would expect it to have a higher rating on booking.com
Hotel as aged well, was clean, well maintained and full of character, centrally located to town centre
Booked a double room which was small and difficult to move around in at times
Convenient to town centre. Compact room with tea and coffee facilities. Clean bathroom and good shower. Staff were great and very helpful.
Car parking signage a little confusing…followed instructions, parking on upper levels where 2 hours free (Asda)with option to pay extra hour, but no longer than 3,enquired at hotel, where you scanned a QR code at teception to pay parking and override the 3 hour limit…could be a little clearer in instructions.
Location
Could have had breakfast included!
Location
Room was too small for a double

Hotel was in town right for me.
Det typiskt engelska med mycket trevlig personal .
Inget att klaga på
Location was great. Room was perfect for what I paid.
Wifi was awful. Couldn’t do any work at all as it kept going off.
The staff were friendly enough
Room needed up dating rooms very basic
The bathroom and the drinks provided were good.
My daughter and her boyfriend were given the best room on arrival. We were left with the smaller rooms. Considering we were paying it would have been nice if the larger room was given to the bill payer. It was very hot but at least we had a fan.
Historic building in a good location with lovely staff who were welcoming and helpful - we enquired about taxi services and they organised it all for us. Room was nicely decorated, if a bit small, with good size ensuite and shower. (Didn't eat in or stay for breakfast, so can't comment on the dining areas or food.)
One window pane had a large crack in it and it also opened out onto a flat roof so we kept it shut, which meant the room got quite hot overnight. Also, the bed was only a small double rather than a king which most places now offer. The communal hallway we walked through to get to the room was also looking a bit rough/tatty in places and not reflective of the quality of actual room itself.
It is a quaint hotel with nice history in a good loaction. It has nice facilties. The staff are friendly. The decor is nice for the most part.
The hotel is cluttered with chairs standing on one another in the one reception room, bicycle stacked up, books, etc. Cleaning clothes and bottles standing in the breakfast area. Reception area needs some work to fix the counter. Office is a mess with the door standing open.
Clean new bathrooms bit old in corridors but fine!
The bed was tiny, cosy double too small for two
Easy access near town centre
Very friendly girl in the bar. Comfortable bed. Plenty of pillows. Electric heater provided....good as room often cold. Kettle and iron provided. Good selection for breakfast.
No lift. Only 2 floors but i have a bad knee and was on floor 2. Paid for a bigger room but it was very cramped. Bathroom very tiny. Toiletries didn't include conditioner. One light in the bathroom was motion controlled so went on if you went to use bathroom in the middle of the night. Absolutely infuriating. If i get up in the night, i want it to remain dark. Got into the shower one morning with only the motion controlled light on. In the middle of my shower I was plunged into darkness! Wasn't happy. Very little space to leave bags. Only 2 hangers for 2 people! Only 1 small bottle of water provided.

Didn't have breakfast. Location was very central.
Staff very helpful, room very clean
Parking not great ,to noisy due with lots of clubs around the hotel
An Amazingly convinient loaction to Rugby School. Value for money and freindly and courtious staff. Very decent facilities and Toilets/Bathrooms are amazing.
Internet connection was poor at times. Breakfast options could be better.

Good spot, easy walk to most places. Great staff
The room was clean and comfortable for one night (might be a bit small for a long stay). The bathroom seemed very newly done out.
It wasn't clear where to park (Asda, it turns out) - we had to phone the hotel after driving around in the dark. Would help to be sent that information beforehand. The walls were thin and we could hear the guests in the next room until the early hours. Bring ear plugs! If you book it through them you get breakfast included so maybe consider that.
Great location to visit Rugby School
The walls are thin and we could hear people arguing late into the night in the rooms around us
Location
Small room and noises from bars
Very helpful, pleasant staff who were swift to rectify any issues. Room was nice and quiet, big and very clean, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. Really central location too. Lovely breakfast. Would definitely recommend as a very reasonably priced place to stay in the centre of Rugby. Some lovely restaurants and bars nearby too. Excellent.
I didn't get an email to say you need to Park at Asda and pay £5 and couldn't get through to the hotel for a while to ask where to park. All sorted and Asda is very close to the hotel. You just scan a QR code and pay.
Bedrooms comfortable and clean; good breakfast.
Upstairs central areas pretty tired and showing wear and tear; understand the hotel had been shut to the public to house migrants which would explain this.
Location was good. Breakfast was OK! Large rooms are good. Easy to park at Asda
Noisy creaky hotel Basic rooms very small 1 or 2 staff on duty Television problems with wifi If updated it could be a great hotel to bring to a 4 star.
Great hotel, clean, tidy and the staff very polite. Will definitely come back when I'm in the area.
Comfortable bed, good shower and nice tea and coffee choice. Clean sheets and good towels.
Room 110 is really hot, the radiator doesn’t have a valve. Unfortunately the TV didn’t work. The room looks into a back street that on a Friday night is a popular place to loiter and drink! The loo roll was 3/4 empty and no spares- all in all unfortunately I was disappointed.
Friendly lady receptionist help d with advice on parking.
Excellent location , very clean and cool bed
Nice and clean hotel, not many amenities, but all good
Maybe slighty overpriced for be in Rugby
