Everything was so old and dirty in the room! The bathroom was stinky. They didn’t change towels therefore they stay wet all the time in the humid climate. No AC in the room and it was impossible to open a window widely. The hotel is a real mess!

Very small room. Roof top closes at evening time (without any valid reason). No bidet. Weird cafe in the neighborhood ! Its on a mountain so you need someone to help carry the luggage.

O Abdel foi muito simpático e prestativo. A área comum do hotel é uma gracinha, assim como o quarto. O banho é muito bom.

Ainda que no papel o hotel seja muito bem localizado, a diferença cultural faz com que andar pelo centro seja desconfortável. Numa próxima oportunidade ficaria hospedada mais longe. Para quem quer uma experiência mais autêntica certamente é uma ótima opção.

I had a wonderful stay at La Balcon Tanger. What stood out most was the staff—they truly went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed and were always kind, attentive, and quick to help with any questions or requests. I really felt well taken care of throughout my stay. The location is fantastic. It’s just steps from the Medina while also being very close to the marina, making it incredibly convenient if you’re arriving or departing by ferry. One thing to know before you arrive is that there are two entrances. One requires walking through the Medina, and the other is accessible from the road. Taxis can drop you off at the road entrance, but they can’t pick you up from there. Once I understood that, it was easy to navigate and definitely worth it because the location is so central. The terrace has an amazing view and was one of my favorite places to relax. The entire property has the charm and personalized feel of a boutique hotel, which made the experience even more special. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Tangier.

I did have a small issue with my room key, but it was resolved immediately, which really showed how responsive the staff is.

Het ontbijt was correct; vers appelsiensap, variëteit van pannekoeken. Zeer mooie woning die met heel veel smaak gedecoreerd is. Uitzicht op zee in onze kamers.

De 6 kamers waren kennelijk allemaal bezet. Alle werk (zowel poetsen, huishouding, bagage ophalen aan taxi, alles moest door één man gedaan worden. Wij vonden dat er meer personeel zou moeten zijn, oa een echte goede poetsvrouw. De hygiëne kon beter. In de andere riad waar we logeerden (Kasbay) waren er 3 mannen die ontbijt verzorgden, 1 receptionist en 2 poetsvrouwen 's morgens. Alles was daar spic&span. Engageer meer staff!

L’hôtel ne dispose pas de parking contrairement a ce qui est annonce, ni meme d’un voiturier. Il faut chercher le parking public le plus proche Pas de télé dans la chambre, ni café / thé. A ma demande on m’a d’abord explique que l’hôtel n’offrait pas de café avant de m’en ramener un Chambre exiguë

De locatie is handig. Er is een mogelijkheid om langs de achterkant binnen te gaan, de taxi kan dan daar even wachten. Je moet dan wel wat trappen doen, dus opgelet met veel bagage. Het terras met zicht op de haven is zalig. Het hotel ligt aan de rand van de medina, dus een stuk rustiger dan mocht die centraal liggen, maar je moet dan te voet wel even zoeken welke straatjes in en uit. Abdo is een excellente gastheer, hij hielp ons ook direct uit de nood met een sim-kaartje voor de gsm. Het ontbijt is lekker. De kamer is ruim en mooi ingericht.

Het inchecken na 21 uur was betalend. Dat stond wel duidelijk vermeld bij booking.com maar samen met de verblijfstaks was dat 90 euro, dat tikt dan wel aan...

Ni la habitacion, ni la relacion calidad precio, es sumamente caro para lo que ofrecen, el alojamiento es caro los servicios pesimos, demasiado viejo todo, almohadas pateticas, la terraza no existe, las fotos son una cosa, la realidad es otra y muy diferente, yo no volveria me he sentido estafada con lo que pague y lo que encontre, todo super viejo, el area de ducha deberian ponerla en obras, en fin no volveria a este alojamiento.

- La terrasse est inaccéssible entre 21h du soir et 7h30 du matin - On peut pas ramener la bouffe qu'on aime, il faut prendre celle de l'hotel sinon interdit de manger en terrasse. - Le bruit strident et continu de la station d'assenissement à moins de 50 metres de l'hotel(24h/24) - Le prix exorbitant des petits dej (110 DH par personne) pour un continental - Pas de verre de thé ni de patisserie à l'arrivée comme dans d'autres établissements du même type.

Das Haus und das Zimmer ist sehr atmosphärisch konzipiert und eingerichtet. Es hat eine schöne Terrasse (wobei wir aus nicht ersichtlichen Gründen) nur auf die untere Ebene durften. Das Zimmer hatte ein großes Bad (was man angesichts der Bäder zuvor sehr zu schätzen weiß). Das Frühstück war gut- eben marokkanisch. Hervorhebenswert war ein kleiner Obstsalat.

Es ist schwer, eine gerechte Bewertung abzugeben Auf der einen Seite ein wirklich schönes Haus, auf der anderen Seite ein Gebaren des Chefs (?, Rezeption und alles was mit Geld zu tun hat), das die Beziehung zu seinen Gästen zu vordergründig der Frage unterordnet, wie viel Geld aus ihnen heraus zu holen ist. Beispiele: Am ersten Abend würde uns mitgeteilt, dass das Trinken von eigenen Wein auf der Terrasse. durch den "Owner" nicht gewünscht ist. Am nächsten Tag teilte man uns mit, dass auch auf dem Zimmer das Trinken von eigenen Alkohol verboten sei. Stattdessen bot uns "Chef" eine Flasche marokkanischen Wein für umgerechnet 35 € an. (Ein marokkanischer Wein der höheren Preisstufen kostet 10- 15 €. "Chef" begründete den Preis mit den Lizenzgebühren, die er für den Alkoholausschank zahlen müssen. Wir entschlossen nach langem aufdringlichen Gespräch ein Glas zu bestellen und mussten "Chef" 4-5-mal darauf hinweisen, dass wir nur ein Glas wollen. Er hat dann jedes Mal wieder eine aufdringliches Verkaufsgespräch angefangen und die Flasche "versehentlich" auf dem Tisch zurückgestellt. Übrigens kosteten die 100 ml Wein am Ende 12 €. Das Frühstück stellte er uns mit 11 € in Rechnung, ein halbes Jahr vorher waren in einer Bewertung 10 € zu lesen und das war schon absolut überteuert für das, was da auf dem Tisch stand. Am nächsten Abend sollte uns der Zugang zur Terrasse gänzlich verwehrt werden, weil "Chef" für ein anderes Pärchen ein Dinner ausrichtete usw. usf. Mit dem Bett bin ich in der ersten Nacht eingebrochen, da mehrere Latten aus Ihren Verankerungen herausgerissen waren und lose auf dem Rahmen lagen. (Das Hotel kostet nun gerade nicht Peanuts.). Der Parkplatz-Hinweis sollte dringend aktualisiert werden. 3,50 sind schon lange durch 6 € ersetzt. Schließlich ist es bei den Preisen, die das Haus für separate Leistungen (Frühstück etc.

we really liked stay at Balcon de Tanger, we arrived late at night, and the receptionist was there waiting for us, even the check-in was closed. it's located inside the Medina, so really easy to find

Tánger tiene algo especial… pero encontrar el Riad perfecto lo eleva a otro nivel. Hace poco tuvimos la suerte de alojarnos en Le Balcón de Tánger, y sinceramente, superó todas las expectativas. Desde el primer momento, Abdel, el host, se volcó en hacernos la estancia fácil, cómoda y totalmente despreocupada. Nos ayudaron con los transportes desde el aeropuerto, coordinados con Souleymane, el taxista, haciendo que la llegada fuera cómoda y sin ningún tipo de estrés. Pero lo que realmente marca la diferencia aquí son las vistas, ubicación dentro de la Medina y recomendaciones especiales de restaurantes y lugares imprescindibles para visitar de su Host Abdel… absolutamente brutales. Despertarte y encontrarte con el Estrecho de Gibraltar frente a ti, desde tu propia habitación, es una experiencia difícil de igualar. Pura paz, pura magia. Las habitaciones están cuidadas al detalle, con ese encanto marroquí que te hace sentir en un lugar auténtico, pero con toda la comodidad que buscas cuando viajas. Todo limpio, bien mantenido y con una ubicación ideal para explorar la ciudad. Y si hablamos de calidad-precio… simplemente excelente. De esos sitios que cuando los descubres sabes que has acertado de lleno. En resumen: si vas a Tánger y quieres vistas inolvidables, comodidad y una experiencia auténtica sin pagar de más… Le Balcón de Tánger es una apuesta segura. Repetiríamos sin dudarlo. 🌊✨

This is a wonderful place to stay on the edge of the Medina and looking out over the harbour to the Strait of Gibraltar. In particular our host Abdel was fantastic - polite, respectful and genuine, he was a pleasure to talk with.

En booking se publicitan con parking (fue uno de los filtros que aplicamos para buscar alojamiento) y luego no es así, te mandan a un parking público descubierto a unos 10 minutos. Además, tienen un horario de check-in hasta las 20h, del que si te pasas te cobran 35€, de lo cual no te avisan hasta el mismo día de la llegada.

It felt more like a hotel than a riad or dar which we had been staying in and they had strict rules on eating in the bedroom

We were in Moroco for 8 weeks and unfortunately this was the only hotel which we were very unhappy. Very good hot water, but the shower was very small including a shower curtain which was in poor taste. There was no Television to catch up on the news. which was disappointing because we were paying a higher price. The reception stated that we owed the hotel for the room, but we went in our computer and showed the contrary. We did not eat breakfast because we thought because of the cleanlyness of the room, the food would be very marginal. We read many of the comments which were very positive, and very surprised that we did not find more comments critical of the hotel.

The room was dusty, very poor lighting, we were offered an upgrade to larger room for Euros 400, but had to pay in cash. We did not take the proposed room because it smelled musty. The heater broke down and the last two days no heat. We called and requested assistance for going up 15 stairs since my knew was bad, after the fact, the hotel was charging Euros 5 when I offered less, they raised their voices. When requesting a taxi to Med Port, the hotel requested 650 DH, were as other hotels in the Medina were charging between 400- 450 DH. We ended up finding a taxi for 400 DH from Tangiers to Med Port. For a number of days, we did not notice other clients in the hotel. We thought that the hotel was on the coast from the pictures in their Booking site.

Abdel was a wonderful host. Full of excellent recommendations and very helpful overall. Plus the filtered water he provided helped us not to have to buy plastic water bottles.

No view from the room. The no food policy in the room (esp for vegans, we need to carry some food with us). No way to have a coffee in the room.

L'endroit est idéalement placé dans la Médina et facilement accessible depuis l'aéroport. Abdelatif est un hôte excellent, poli, compétent et attentionné. Le petit déjeuner sur la terrasse est très bon copieux et la vue magnifique ! La décoration du Riad est superbe.

Le rapport qualité/prix est moyen pour les prestations. On aurait aimé accéder à la terrasse le soir pour voir la vue magnifique sur le détroit au coucher du soleil. On se serait aussi passé des 35 euros de "late charge" pour un vol retardé :) Nous sommes néanmoins très satisfaits de notre séjour :)

Nos tocó habitación con vista al puerto y la verdad hermosa la vista. Bien ubicado dentro de la zona histórica, llegas caminando a cualquier parte.

Que dentro de la propiedad también hubiera que subir escaleras, había leído sobre el acceso al hotel pero no dentro del mismo. Las almohadas no eran cómodas, deberían cambiarlas y/o poner más.

El desayuno, su ubicación en Medina Vieja, las vistas al mar, la terraza y la amabilidad de Abdel.

La cama podría ser algo más cómoda, pero dormí bien.

Die Lage der Unterkunft ist traumhaft, in der alten Stadtmauer, mit einem fantastischen Blick auf den Atlantik. Die Frühstücks Terrasse ist ein Traum, die Zimmer sind super schön ausgestattet, mit tollen Kunstwerken und marokkanischen Möbeln. Abdel ist super hilfsbereit und hat uns jeden Wunsch von den Augen abgelesen und das beste zum Frühstück zubereitet. Wir sind mehr als zufrieden und können es sehr empfehlen.

We stayed here in March and it did get cold at night. The aircon heating helped.

Tout était très bien: la maison, ses chambres , son emplacement dans la Casbah et un grand merci à Abdel, le jeune homme de la maison qui est très attentif à ses hôtes et prépare le petit-déjeuner comme personne.
