La struttura è posizionata su una delle spiagge più belle dell’isola. La piscina ha una vista splendida. I bungalow con vista piscina sono spaziosi, anche se spartani. Il ristorante ottimo sia per la colazione che per la cena. Noi abbiamo apprezzato anche l’accesso diretto alla spiaggia, anche se occorre fare qualche passo nell’acqua se si scende quando la marea è alta.

In generale la struttura manca di manutenzione e potrebbe essere maggiormente curata. Dato il prezzo pagato ci si aspetterebbe di meglio. Peccato anche non avere l’opzione con colazione compresa.

Zeer vriendelijk personeel, mooie infrastructuur

-Zeer hoge prijzen voor transport via hotel, beter dit zelf te regelen -Het hotel laat mensen van buitenaf die iets consumeren in het restaurant toe in het zwembad. Dit zorgde ervoor dat wij als betalende hotelgast soms geen plaats hadden aan het zwembad. Dit waren oa ook jongeren die jointjes aan het roken waren op de zwembadrand. Niet echt aangenaam voor een familiehotel -De trip naar het nationaal park ang tong die werd aangeboden vanuit het hotel was echt slecht. De tijden uit de brochure klopten helemaal niet met de realiteit waardoor je bijna geen tijd hebt op de eilanden zelf en de hele tijd ah varen bent

Location was nice.

Pool has too many chemicals. Kids got a rash and it stung my eyes so we couldn’t use it. We stayed for 5 days and the linen was only changed once even though we requested it. The towels weren’t changed regularly and even when they did change the towels we ended up with only 2 or 3 and there were 4 of us. They overcharged for taxis compared to normal taxi companies. The restaurant reviews aren’t accurate as they promise a “free gift” to anyone leaving a 5 star Google review. I’d say the restaurant was average at best - good views though. They also take 15mins to make two coffees when there’s nobody else there. Hotel guests were using drinks glasses in and around the pool.

Schitterende plek! Heerlijk zwembad met mooi uitzicht over de baai en het strand van Haad Yai. Ontzettend vriendelijk personeel en goede service. Drankjes werden zelfs keurig naar onze bungalow gebracht vanaf het restaurant. Restaurant zelf was ook dikke prima. Airco boven en beneden ook heel prettig.

Kamer was oké. Niet heel bijzonder, maar gewoon in orde.

Staff were so friendly and helpful. Location was excellent, right on the beach! Beautiful resort with a local charm where the rooms are in the jungle area. The pool was beautiful! Food at the restaurant was 10/10 and I could not fault the staff.

Shower and water pressure was not great. The waters provided each day were smaller than other properties we have stayed at.

Heerlijk huisje met prachtig uitzicht over de baai en het strand. Lekker bed, goede airco. Bijbehorende restaurant is van goede kwaliteit en biedt ruime keuze. Personeel is super vriendelijk. Huurauto / scooter parkeren kan bij de ingang, een scooter kan je direct naast de ingang huren.

Het zwembadwater is te warm en bevat te veel chemicaliën. Gelukkig ligt er een prachtige zee voor je neus op je te wachten.

Wat een prachtige omgeving, gelegen boven op een soort “berg”, met een fantastisch uitzicht over de baai. Het restaurant van het hotel is echt een aanrader; wij hebben er iedere avond heerlijk gegeten. Het ontbijt is niet inbegrepen, maar kan wel in hetzelfde restaurant worden bijgeboekt. Wij vonden het tentje ernaast, What’s Cup?, echter ook erg gezellig en waren daar erg over te spreken. Het zwembad is mooi en biedt eveneens een prachtig uitzicht over de baai. Ons huisje had bovendien een buitendouche in een bad, wat wij ontzettend fijn vonden. Een leuke extra! Ook kunnen er via het hotel gemakkelijk taxi’s worden geregeld, wat erg handig is. Al zijn de kosten hoog voor een taxi, maar dat is op het hele eiland.

Ik geef deze accommodatie een 7, mede doordat wij het bovenste huisje hadden, waardoor we behoorlijk wat traptreden moesten lopen. In combinatie met de warmte vonden wij dit best pittig. Als je minder goed ter been bent, zou ik het afraden om dit hotel te boeken. Het tweepersoonsbed vonden wij helaas wat wiebelig. Wanneer de één zich omdraaide, voelde de ander dit behoorlijk duidelijk. Ook het zwembad viel ons wat tegen. Het water was vrij warm en een beetje troebel, waardoor je niet echt lekker kon afkoelen. Daarnaast hadden de kussens van de zwembadbedjes en de handdoeken op de hotelkamer behoorlijk wat vlekken. Tot slot ben je wel afhankelijk van een scooter of taxi als je naar de baai wilt, waar meer vertier is. Lopend is het best een stuk, zeker omdat je door de heuvels moet.

Posizione eccezionale con vista sulla baia di Haad Yao. La struttura è molto bella e curata e lo staff gentilissimo! Ci è piaciuta moltissimo anche la piscina e il ristorante dove si mangia benissimo!

The location itself, although it may be more useful for those who choose the beach. On the west side of the island is this beach (Haad Yao) I consider it the most balanced, equally remote from other places in the west and northwest of the island. The hotel is also conveniently located. There is an opportunity to go to the main beach, and there is also an opportunity to go to a small private beach where there is practically no one. The hotel itself is located away from all the fuss, but you can reach the water in 2-3 minutes. the amenities in the room are not the first freshness, but I did not see any severe wear and tear that required replacement. There is a cafe on site with high-quality and varied food, from Thai to Italian. the prices there are higher than in the city, but I think it's justified, especially for those without transport. I think the main feature of the hotel is the panoramic view of the beach itself. It opens especially coolly from the pool and cafe, where you can watch the sunset. This is actually one of the best places in the whole neighborhood.

The a4 bungalow has noisy air conditioning. also, the view from this bungalow loses to some others. I think the best view will be from the a1 bungalow. The Internet in the a4 bungalow is unstable, constantly disconnected

Beautiful outlook, pool and grounds, very well maintained. Ferry pickup and drop off was excellent, very efficient. Fantastic value for money, bungalow was basic but clean and comfortable with everything we needed. Staff were helpful and friendly. Lots of restaurants and bars available along the beachfront nearby.

Un coin de paradis perché sur les hauteurs une belle plage. Idéal pour les promenades et les jogging matinaux. Bon restaurant avec personnel sympa et piscine très agréable avec une vue magnifique. Le coin est assez animé avec bar, resto et massage.

La belle vue nécessite pas mal d’escaliers assez pentus pour descendre à la plage et remonter. Ça se médite ; )

De locatie, het zwembad met uitzicht, het restaurant, het vriendelijke personeel en het eten was er heerlijk. De 4 persoons kamer had een fijn balkon met een hangmat.

De 4 persoons kamer en badkamer waren wat gedateerd. Maar daar hadden we geen hinder van!

Perfekt udsigt fra værelse mod vandet. Der ligger en autentisk thailandsk restaurant ca. 2 km fra hotellet, som varmt kan anbefales, pure pure kitchen, hvor der servers thailandsk mad og til rimelig penge. Absolut et besøg værd.

Værelse fremstår slidt. Maden er ikke pengene værd, smagløs. Der er for få restauranter der tilbyder thai mad, virker til at der er mere fokus på europæisk mad.

I don't mind people smoking weed, but not during dinnertime. The house with a garden view was basic and, compared to the rest of the villas, needed updating.

The view is priceless. It is the unique selling point of this property and that is the main reason for booking. Also the ease of having an apartment poolside with the kids is super comfy. The waiters and workers were really nice as in whole thailand. Owners also very nice. The restaurant is really good too!

The lcleaning ladies did not do a proper job cleaning the room. They cleaned twice during our stay but there was still dust and in the bathroom the sink was not clean, we would still see stains of toothpaste so we questioned their efforts. I shared some of this feedback with the owner, who said she would take it up with her husband and look into the necessary improvements. Wifi was good in all areas except the television did not connect to Wifi during our stay. The apartment is generally pleasant, but there are a few areas that would benefit from attention. It could use a fresh coat of paint, and some of the furniture is showing its age and should be updated. Several tiles around the pool are broken and should be replaced, so extra care is needed when walking there. The lounge sets have mould stains underneath the covers and are due for replacement, and some of the beanbags are torn and should likewise be replaced.

I stayed in the Seaview room. The view was amazing, bed very comfortable and the room was spacious. Staff friendly and helpful.

Pool area the loungers a bit old and broken tiles around the pool. Could definitely do with more vegan food options. One slice of bread with the avocado toast was mean for the price. We only ate there a few times due to limited vegan options.

Great location, hillside with gorgeous view of Haad Yao beach. Recommend a scooter as the hills surrounding are steep! The restaurant has lovely food and the staff are so friendly. The pool is stunning. The room was basic, comfy bed and did the job! Worth the money for the resort and area. Would upgrade if returning. The male receptionist was so kind!

Ac in my room was quite loud when swinging. Could invest in some newer towels and bed linens (even for the cheaper rooms) as they seem a little dated.

Das Personal war unglaublich freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Restaurant der Unterkunft hatte alles, was man sich wünscht. Der Pool und die Anlage waren sauber. Es war ein wirklich schöner Aufenthalt.

I have stayed at highlife a few times and I love the location on the beach, the food is great and staff are brilliant.

We opted for the superior double room and we were quite disappointed by the loss of atmosphere from the other lodges. The sofa was broken, when I messaged to inform I just got told yes, it is. We payed more for a better room but it was on the road so we had the noise of traffic whereas the other rooms do not.

2nd time staying here, We had 6x sea facing rooms. This resort is very special. From the greatlocation of Haad Yao beach, its an exceptional beach, good for swimming, quiet area, yet still vibey. High Life's position is amazing on the hillside, beautiful views of the bay, ocean and sunset, depending on time of year. Great restaurant offering very good food breakfast - Dinner. Pool is exceptional. Rooms are nice and spacious. Aircons work very well. Bathrooms are simple but good. Bed & linen is good and comfortable 8+.

really nothing to complain about.. Just find some rooms a little basic and starting to show wear. Especially for price, i think this can be improved in some rooms.

Let’s start with the positives. Mimi and her colleague at the reception were absolutely outstanding throughout our stay. They were always kind, welcoming, and genuinely helpful, and they are a real asset to the hotel. The setting is spectacular. The views over the bay are breathtaking, especially at sunset, and the swimming pool is large enough both for relaxing and for actually swimming. It does contain quite a lot of chlorine, but overall it’s a lovely place to spend the afternoon while enjoying one of the best views on the island (not a big fan of the techno/house music played in the afternoon). During our stay, we experienced both the Garden View Bungalows and the Sea View Room (A2). The smaller garden bungalows felt a little dark, while some of the newer ones looked much more comfortable and recently renovated. Overall, I think the garden bungalows could benefit from better maintenance and a few simple improvements, such as adding more power outlets, bedside lamps, and paying greater attention to small details. These are points that have already been mentioned in other reviews, so hopefully they will eventually be addressed. That said, the gardens themselves are beautiful. They are incredibly well maintained by the staff and truly feel like walking through a tropical jungle, which creates a very peaceful atmosphere. The Sea View Room (A2), on the other hand, was noticeably better maintained and offered an absolutely stunning view over the bay. If you’re considering staying here, I would definitely recommend choosing one of the sea view rooms if your budget allows.

Unfortunately, our experience at the restaurant left a sour taste. The food and cocktails were genuinely excellent, and although prices are high, that’s expected at a resort like this. However, after a simple misunderstanding where the wrong dish was brought to our table, one member of the restaurant staff became unnecessarily aggressive, telling us we should pay more attention when ordering. It was a very unprofessional way to handle what was clearly an honest mistake. What made it particularly disappointing is that my family and I had been eating breakfast and lunch there almost every day, as well as ordering drinks and cocktails throughout our stay. After that incident, we simply didn’t feel comfortable returning and started visiting nearby restaurants instead, where we found excellent food at more reasonable prices. Would I return? Perhaps just for 1 night and for the overall resort experience and to enjoy its incredible location, because the setting and the views over the bay are truly unforgettable. However, a beautiful location alone isn’t enough to create guest loyalty. At this price point, I expected a more consistently relaxing experience and a higher standard of hospitality throughout my stay.

הבריכה נהדרת, האוכל מצויין וצוות המלצרים מקסים. מכל הטיול בתאילנד הכי אהבנו את המסעדה והמלצרים. המסעדה עם שפע מנות טעימות, תפריט סופר מגוון ממש כמו 10 מסעדות באחת. המיקום נהדר ממש 5 דק הליכה מקו רחם וסיקרט ביץ. וכמובן על האד יאו. אבל רוב הזמן היינו בבריכה המדהימה והחמימה שפתוחה עד 10 בלילה. לקחנו את הבקתות עם הנוף לים. אחת בסיסית ואחת פרימיום. ממש נהדר. נוף מטורף. נקי וכייפי. יש קצת לטאות ומרבי רגליים וזה ממש כיף כי זה מצד אחד ג'ונגלי ומצד שני חוף ים.

לא ממליצה על החדר משפחה על הבריכה שהזמנו בהתחלה. בנוי לא טוב ואין פרטיות. עדיף בהמון לקחת 2 בקתות, פי כמה יותר מפנק ושווה את התוספת מחיר.

La piscina es bonita y tiene buenas vistas, se esta muy agusto. En general el personal es amable y el bungalow estaba limpio.

Suerte que tienen restaurante en el Hotel porque el centro está muy lejos y no sabiamos que el transporte era tant caro en Koh Phangan. Puedes alquilar una moto pero solo abren de 8h a 18h asi que la ultima noche te puedes quedar tirado ya que el centro esta a casi 2h andando.

The view from bungalow A3 is amazing. The room is comfortable and the bed is big. The staff were always friendly with a can do attitude. I really enjoyed my stay.

Highlife Bungalows is the most magical place I have ever stayed. Stunning views, on the most amazing beach. The room was absolutely perfect, such a comfortable bed, the food and drinks were next level and the staff were faultless. Can’t recommend this place enough and I look forward to my next stay.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Der Pool sowie das Restaurant waren sehr schön. Die Aussicht war traumhaft!

Nach unserer Ankunft wurden wir auf unser zimmer gebracht. Wir haben sofort gesagt dass wir dort nicht schlafen werden. Wir bekamen ein größeres Zimmer zugeteilt. (Natürlich gegen knapp 100€ Aufpreis) Die Zimmer sehen nicht so aus wie auf den Bildern. Es war dreckig und das Bad runtergekommen. Zusätzlich war das ganze Badezimmer voller Ameisen. Die Betten waren unbequem und die AirCon war übertrieben laut und hat viele laute komische Geräusche gemacht. Es gibt eine Kerze geschenkt wenn man eine 5 Sterne Bewertung hinterlässt. Muss jeder selber wissen...

So many stairs…but the view was worth it.

La vue est magnifique et le restaurant de l’hôtel est vraiment bon, ce qui sauve en partie l’expérience. En revanche, plusieurs points sont très décevants pour un établissement de ce standing : les serviettes sentent mauvais, les serviettes de plage sont complètement délavées et devraient être remplacées depuis longtemps. Certaines installations semblent laissées à l’abandon, comme la baignoire extérieure inutilisable. Nous avons également eu la mauvaise surprise de trouver plusieurs cafards dans le logement, et il n’y avait pas d’eau chaude durant le séjour. Le plus incompréhensible reste le prix demandé au vu de l’état général, surtout en basse saison. Le rapport qualité/prix n’est clairement pas à la hauteur. Dommage, car le potentiel de l’endroit est réel avec une si belle vue.

Es sind keinerlei Haken im Badezimmer sowie im Schlafbereich. Außerdem gibt es keine Nachttische und das Licht ist auch nicht sehr gemütlich.

Great pool for the kids and amazing food

This hotel was great. The restaurant served some of the best food we had eaten whilst in Thailand and great value. The staff were all very friendly and the views and sunsets were amazing. The hotel is located at the bottom of a very steep hill. Our room was a large family room with a very big bathroom. We had a big balcony with a hammock and an outside bath. The hotel is set in lots of beautiful trees and grounds and feels like you're in the jungle. There was lots of wildlife including lizards but unfortunately this also meant lots of mosquitos. The bar had a nice vibe to it in the evenings and you can book the big round table that over looks the beach for food/drinks and to watch the sunset. There were around 12-15 steep steps down to the beach with lots of bars and restaurants along the beach to visit. The hotel has a lovely pool with sunbeds and larger square seated areas.

The larger family rooms are very far from the reception, restaurant and pool. There are many steps to these rooms that can be extremely deep and therefore these rooms are not suitable for anyone with mobility issue. The roofs of the accommodation are corrugated metal and as you are in a jungle, lizards frequently run across them which makes it very difficult to sleep. There are mango trees and when the mangos drop on the roof its very loid and scary until you know what it was. The outside bath whilst seemed like a nice idea, was covered with ants so couldn't be used for anything other than rinsing shoes.

Die Lage unseres Apartments (siehe Foto). Wir sind nochmal umgezogen, mussten dann aber viele Treppen laufen und waren direkt an der Straße. Wahrscheinlich lag es daran, dass wir zu dritt waren und die schöneren Zimmer nicht für 3 Personen geeignet waren. Das war sehr enttäuschend für uns.

Location is perfect, right on the beach but still ”secluded” enough. Nature, great clean pool and room for relaxing. Staff was very welcoming, polite and helped. Liked it so much I extended my stay 2 times

I was happy with my stay, but small things could be made to improve the bungalows even further. Reading lights by the bed would be nice, and some hooks for towels. There were hangars and a towel rack, but since there’s a pool and the sea, there will be a lot of wet things at the same time so more room for drying those would be nice :) i got to experience 3 different bungalows during my stay, older and newer, and the older wooden ones had a smell of maybe some kind of chemical for bugs (?). I got used to it, but at first it bothered a bit. But I understand also, that since it’s a bungalow, things need to be done to keep the bugs out, so better this way than with a lot of bugs. That said, there still were some small ants in my room, but as said, there’s nature around so pretty impossible to keep out. Really enjoyed my stay.

Les espaces communs de l'hôtel sont sublimes, notamment la piscine, et la vue sur la baie est magnifique. Les bungalows sont très propres, fonctionnels, et la décoration épurée. Le personnel est aux petits soins.

Les espaces verts qui gagneraient à être davantage entretenus ainsi que quelques finitions/rafraîchissements qui pourraient être faits dans les bungalows, notamment au niveau de ma sdb et des rambardes d'escalier à la peinture un peu écaillée. Mais cela n'empêche pas le confort et le caractère agréable du lieu.
