The hotel is far way from the town centre and 10 minutes drive to the nearest metro.

the maintenance guy service is no good. as my recent trip my stay 9/4 untill 12/4 for the 1st night after i request the maintenance to check out my room aircond for 2 times. the maintenance feedback the aircond is ok no issue . my room air cong is not cooling enough always maintain at 26.5 celcious at the end my 1st night is really nightmare for me which i cant really sleep due to too warm the room temperature . i am hoping that my coming end of this month trip the room is no issue for me . ( 20/4 untill 25/4)

Falta de ar condicionado primeiro ficamos num quarto muito quente e após queixa, de que o ar condicionado não funcionava, o funcionário abriu a janela do quarto e a porta e trouxe um balde de gelo... No dia seguinte, mudámos para um quarto e repetiu-se a cena, mas ao contrário, o quarto era frio e o ar condicionado também não funcionava para aquecer o ambiente... Desligar o ar condicionado é uma decisão absurda da gerencia...

Reviewed Aug 29, 2025The hotel was very elegant, new, and clean. Everything was at a high standard. Breakfast had a wide variety, and everything was very delicious. If you plan to stay at this hotel, I definitely recommend choosing the breakfast option in advance.
The only downside for me was that the hotel was farther from the city center than I expected. It is more suitable for those who will be using the train (though you still need to take a taxi or bicycle to reach the train/metro station). I had to take a taxi to the city center every day – which meant extra time and money – but the service at this hotel was so good that the long distance did not really bother me. And I should also mention that it was not possible to use a VPN (ExpressVPN) while connected to the hotel’s internet.

Reviewed Jun 27, 2025Returning to Hilton Garden Inn Shanghai Hongqiao NECC reminds me why it continues to be my preferred accommodation when staying in Hongqiao. Assistant Front Office Manager Damien ensured that the team was well-informed and that all arrangements were communicated. His coordination allowed everything to proceed efficiently, which I appreciated given my schedule. The service team was equally dependable. Front Office Manager Nikki continues to lead with consistency and attentiveness to guests’ needs. Guest Service Manager Cyan went the extra mile when I accidentally left my phone behind. He located it promptly, contacted me and made arrangements for its safe return. Guest Service Manager Christian maintained a steady presence throughout the stay, helping to ensure that all guest-facing matters were handled with assurance. Jenny kindly assisted with a task at the front desk one evening, handling it patiently even though it required additional effort. Jack from the F&B team also stood out for remembering my breakfast preference each morning, which added a thoughtful touch to the experience. Although two team members, Mark and Vicky, are now with another Hilton property, I remain grateful for their prior support. Mark once facilitated an efficient check-out during one of my visits, and the small gift he gave me at the time left a thoughtful impression as I was preparing to leave the hotel. Vicky always made sure water was prepared in advance, something I appreciated as someone who values staying hydrated. Under General Manager Christine’s leadership, the team continues to uphold a guest-focused standard of excellence in hospitality. I look forward to returning when I next visit Hongqiao.
