La posizione è eccellente, nel cuore del centro storico. Dall’hotel si raggiunge tutto a piedi e, nel caso servisse, c’è la fermata del tram a due passi. Le camere sono abbastanza pulite e hanno il condizionatore. Il personale è gentile e disponibile.

NON soggiornate in questo hotel se sarete a Zurigo durante un festival come il Dörflifäscht che si tiene a Niederdorf, il quartiere dove si trova l’albergo. L’ingresso della struttura, infatti, è situato in un punto che, in quei giorni, a causa della quantità spaventosa di gente, di sera era TOTALMENTE INACCESSIBILE. In più, la musica ad altissimo volume va avanti fino alle 3 del mattino e dormire è praticamente impossibile. Negli altri giorni dell’anno, invece, la zona è tranquilla e non avrete problemi. Un altro difetto di questo hotel è la colazione veramente scarna che andrebbe un po’ migliorata.

Great location

We had ants in our bed and the room was very small.

Available room booked 10 mins before arrival due to thunderstorms impacting flights at Zurich airport so we had arrived too late for our connecting train.

Unfortunately our overnight stay coincided with the Old Town music festival that did not end to 2am so there was external noise.

Good location. Close to trams and just a short walk to the central station. Room was small but comfortable and our high floor meant there was very little noise from the busy street below. Lift available. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast options were limited but sufficient and tasty.

Room was smaller than would have liked and the shower was a small cubicle type which would be difficult for a large person. Despite our prior notification, the breakfast options did not cater fully for my wife who has a dairy allergy.

Good central location in busy area but room on high floor eliminated noise from street below. Breakfast was nice, albeit limited. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Proximity for trams and short walk to station.

Location

The property is a restaurant first and a hotel second. The manager is grumpy and hates you coming through the restaurant to get into the hotel. You must use the dodgy back entrance like a thief in the night. The only time you can enter the restaurant is to eat breakfast which is very ordinary

Top Lage!

The location is perfect and the breakfast superb! Helpful, friendly staff and the AC and the room so quiet and comfortable. It’s a bit pricey, but everything in Switzerland is, so that’s the way it is. We loved our stay here!

Nothing.

Hotel Old Town had the one thing sorely lacking in most every other place we have stayed in Europe and the UK. That is, effective cooling, with reverse cycle air conditioning in the room. Yes it made an appalling noise at random intervals, but it was worth it after barely sleeping for days.

The stairs were stylish black stairs with slippery surfaces and near zero distinction of where they started and finished. White tape on every edge please. No one cares how cool it looks when they fall down.

The young girl doing the breakfast was friendly and so were the guys working the restaurant. Location is the only other thing going for it

The owners were not very friendly. The room keys constantly failed and the owner didn’t believe us. The location was noisy with restaurants downstairs packing up furniture at night. The rooms were barely made up just a flick of the blanket but I have a feeling one girl was doing the lot. The hotel is on top of the restaurant so made it hard to locate. When we checked in you went into the restaurant and breakfast was there also however the owner insisted that you go in and out the back door which made you feel like a you were not valued. It was a dodgy back door.

L'hotel è in una posizione strategica per visitare il centro storico e ha un ottimo ristorante che permette di cenare sia all'interno sia all'esterno

La stanza era un po' piccola, ma adeguata al fatto che l'hotel è in una costruzione del centro storico. Purtroppo la mattina della partenza non ho potuto fare colazione, perché sarei andata via presto rispetto all'orario previsto.

L’emplacement ! Proche de la gare et en plein centre, difficile de faire mieux ! Chambre très propre. L’ascenseur qui m’a évité de porter ma valise jusqu’au 4ème étage !

Pas de meuble pour poser la valise ailleurs qu’au sol. J’aurais apprécié un tabouret et une patère dans la salle de bain pour poser mes vêtements.

レストランのスタッフに声かけてチェックインする方式です。スタッフも慣れていますし、荷物もホテル入口まで運んでくれて優しかったです。何よりエアコンがついているのが本当に良かった。朝食は宿泊価格に見合った素敵なものでした。チーズ2種程度、サラミ3種程度、スクランブルエッグ、シリアル、パン。どれも美味しく食べれました。これ以上求めるのはわがままじゃないかと( ;∀;)

シャワー室は確かに狭いけど、体重80㎏の僕でも問題はありませんでした。そこはお客さんも我慢しましょうねって感じです。

Brilliant location in the heart of the Old Town close to cafes, shops, restaurants and tram stops. Around a 15 minute walk from the main train station. The room was small, but very clean and well equipped. We thought it might be noisy but the windows had really good sound-proofing. The staff were friendly. Breakfast was nice and had a good selection. The steak restaurant was a little expensive, but so good that we ate there both nights.

The ideal hotel for a few nights for one person. Convenient location, the room had air conditioning, despite the center on the night from Monday to Tuesday it was very quiet, 100 m there is a store open until 00:00,

I couldn't turn on the TV. I had two remote controls, one for the TV and the other for the set-top box with a TV signal. I couldn't turn on any program in any combination.

Staff helpful when we arrived. A good breakfast.

Poor entry/exit door leaving hotel. The hotel, for the cost, was below standard in most areas.

Room very comfortable for 2 .Air-conditioning was awesome. Breakfast very tasty and high quality. Staff was very friendly. Super convenient to train station and an easy 15 minute walk. Numerous restaurants and bars within walking distance

The floor lamp wasn't working but we managed.

Loved the central location. Staff were lovely and the breakfast was really good.

A bit noisy at night due to the bars located nearby but not really a problem overall.

The restaurant below the hotel was a bit loud

Location was exactly what we wanted - more local flavor. Breakfast was perfect. Check in and check out was easy.

This was my fault, I didn't inquire about the times breakfast would be served. I had to leave at 6:30am to catch a flight. So, although I paid extra for breakfast, I was not able to have one, nor could they prepare a take-away breakfast for me. That was disappointing because I wasted my own money.

(1) Modern, clean, simple bedroom - everything worked & good shower; (2) TV with international channels

(1) Reception upon arrival (inside restaurant) was not welcoming. Flight had been delayed so was later than indicated but not excessively; (2) Access to the hotel part of the building is awkward with opening availability of side door uncertain, hence access best managed through restaurant; (3) Commercial focus of the enterprise appeared to be on restaurant vs. hotel; (4) Overall experience did not represent value for price paid

Great location in Old Town, great for a 1-2 night stay. Bathroom was very small, shower small but that’s to be expected in old buildings. Bonus was the air conditioning. It was hot in Zurich so it was nice to have a cool room.

Location for Old Town

No reception (just the bar in the restaurant), no safe, poor lighting, no tissues, sparse facilities (less than in our cruise cabin), hilariously small shower space, noisy, encouraged not to enter the restaurant, except for the (very basic) breakfast, dangerous staircase, no evacuation plan.

The 'hotel ' was in a good location in the heart of the old town. The staff were friendly enough and the room was clean

To call it a hotel was a bit of a stretch. It was a restaurant with ensuite rooms above. No reception area or lounge bar and the entrance was a door round the back. The breakfasts were meagre to say the least. One morning when we went for breakfast there was hardly any food left even though we arrived well within the timescale. Other guests arrived after us and had poor fair indeed.

Well the best part of this visit was the staff. Lovely people, very friendly. Louisa and Kennen were very kind and interested in what we were doing and seeing. The breakfast was unexciting but the breakfast lady was very nice and made great coffee. The room was small- in fact everything was small - but was really clean which is the most important thing. The location was pretty central and therefore noisy. Can’t really have both. Access via the back door was absolutely fine but we varied - if the restaurant wasn’t busy then we went through there. We were very unfortunate regarding the price. We booked way in advance and could have saved a lot of money by booking later. It’s not a hotel we would go back to as it wasn’t really good value for money.

Basic and very basic breakfast - check in was in restaurant so felt impersonal

Bonic i petitó hotel al centre històric de Zurich. Habitació petitona però amb tot el necessari per passar una nit, excel·lent neteja i molt bona atenció per part de tot el Personal. L’esmorzar era molt bo i hem gaudit de la nostra estada en aquest hotel.

Optimale Lage in der Altstadt, tolle Verkehrsanbindung, es dauerte lediglich 3 Minuten bis zur Tram; Fußweg zur anderen Seite ebenfalls kurz. Frühstück war vielseitig und ausreichend.

Towels and bedsheets were old and had holes. However, room was really clean.

La ubicación ideal para ir caminando a todos los lugares de interés. Que en el restaurante se puede hacer el chekin y se come muy bien, su especialidad las carnes rojas. El desayuno bueno .

Very poor breakfast

The location was excellent — right in the city center and within walking distance to almost everywhere. Breakfast was okay by European standards.

The room was not very spacious, and the building felt slightly slanted due to its old structure. Also, since the hotel is owned by Old Town Steak House, there was a strong smell of meat in the hallways and near the elevator, which was unpleasant.
