Majitel vyzvedl na letišti, ale potom nám to stejně naúčtoval i když to bylo kousek. V pokoji bylo horko, klimatizace sice běžela, ale nechladila a navíc byla neuvěřitelně hlučná. Co mě nejvíc naštvalo bylo to, že při placení majitel použil absolutně nevýhodný kurz z $ na LRK. Nikde jinde na Srí Lance se mi to nestalo.

Reviewed Mar 17, 2026Mit Abstand das sauberste und größte Zimmer unserer Reise. Riesiges altes Gebäude mit kleinem Garten. Mit dem Auto 10 Minuten vom Flughafen entfernt und trotzdem relativ ruhig. Verkehrslärm hat man keinen, da es abseits von der Strasse liegt, aber die Flieger hört man natürlich etwas.
Wir kamen abends an und mein Sohn hatte noch Hunger, daher fragt ich ob wir noch Pasta mit Butter haben könnten. Mitarbeiter war nicht begeistert dass nur eine Sache bestellt wurde und meinte es dauert 40min. Was mich sehr wunderte aber eine Erklärung bekam ich nicht. Später kam dann ein Roller mit der Lieferung. Wurde also außerhalb bei einem Restaurant bestellt. Kostete uns 2150 LKR. Mitarbeiter half nur auf Nachfrage das Gepäck in den 3. Stock zu tragen (ich reise allein mit 5 jährigem Kind). Bei Abreise musste ich erneut runter gehen und um Hilfe bitten.

Reviewed Jan 5, 2026We had a great stay at Norfolk Heritage Hotel. The location is fantastic, only 7 or 8 minutes to the airport. Has running hot water for showers and a decent bed. Clean room, decent size, a pleasant and affordable stay. Parking for motorcycles was available. We also had an excellent evening meal. They have an extensive menu. Transport to and from the airport, at a small cost.

Reviewed Dec 28, 2025The guesthouse is conveniently located very near to the airport and the manager arranges the transportation super smoothly. Also, it was a cool experience to stay in a old-glory colonial villa. The room was v+extremely spacious !
We arrived at the evening and the area and the villa were quite dark. The old - almost empty - building and furniture give a creepy vibe.

Горячей воды не дождались, хотя просили персонал решить проблему. Мебель обветшалая. Кондиционер старый и ужасно шумный. Чайник древний и не совсем исправный. Место хорошее, но давно требует ремонта.

Reviewed Nov 28, 2025Ich konnte spät einchecken, wurde dort freundlich empfangen und am Morgen gab es ein Frühstück. Die Unterkunft war sauber und nah am Flughafen, was wegen der Ankunft in der Nacht wichtig war. Ich durfte sogar erst spät frühstücken, was sehr lieb war damit ich erstmal ausschlafen konnte. Ich habe mir am nächsten Tag ein Uber nach Colombo Fort gebucht und bin dann mit dem Zug weiter in den Süden gefahren, somit war die Unterkunft perfekt geeignet.

Reviewed Sep 7, 2025Wij verbleven hier de laatste nacht voor vertrek dus we waren er maar kort en het was al een beetje donker. Fantastisch gebouw met een mooie tuin, dichtbij het vliegveld in een rustige wijk. Alleen villa’s en hotels. Comfortabele kamers. De vriendelijke gastheer gaf ons een advies voor het diner. Het restaurant was op loopafstand en beviel goed. Omdat we om 05.00 moesten vertrekken hebben we geen ontbijt gehad dus geen oordeel. Het is vlakbij het vliegveld maar we hebben geen last gehad van vliegtuigen.

The bedroom and bathroom were rather tired and in need of some thorough cleaning and maintenance . The bed was a a bit hard and squeaky.

Wifi worked well, plenty of hot water in the shower, double bed was comfortable and the a/c worked well. Close to the airport - we paid LKR400 in an uber.

Reviewed Feb 5, 2025The hotel is just about value for money. It is basic with a modest price. The room was large as was the adjacent private bathroom.
We had a hiccup about collection from the airport. I believed it was agreed that I was to be collected. When I found no one waiting I tried to call them when I found a message sent after I started flying saying I should message them on my arrival. By then it was late and I did not have a local SIM so I tried finding them in a local taxi. The hotel is difficult to find so it took a while. I was not asked what I wanted for breakfast which meant that I left much of it.

Reviewed Feb 2, 2025Very comfortable family run villa near airport. We had a large bedroom with its own large bathroom. Delightful breakfast in the downstairs dining room. Others had theirs on the verandah. They arranged airport pick-up and driver to Galle for reasonable price too .
The location maybe wouldn't suit if we were staying longer but perfect for transit stay from airport..

Mosquitoes readily available. Non evident from the main road, since it's at the far end of a compound. Breakfast very "flat"

Reviewed Jan 19, 2025Gorgeous hotel, huge rooms and wonderful staff. We were waiting for a friend coming into the airport so stayed for breakfast and lunch. The manager was very friendly and cooked us an incredible Sri Lankan lunch!
The bath looks appealing but there is not enough hot water in the tank to fill the the tub. So it is purely aesthetic but we still appreciated it!
