Such a beautiful place!!!

Die Eigentümer sind das Herz dieses Hauses. Sie haben uns persönlich empfangen, sich Zeit genommen, alles in Ruhe gezeigt und waren durchgehend aufmerksam und herzlich. Dazu ein wunderschönes, ruhiges Grundstück mit nur vier Wohneinheiten – man hat den Garten fast für sich allein.

Der Gesamteindruck ist an manchen Stellen einfach in die Jahre gekommen und nicht mehr durchgehend zeitgemäß, auch beim Schlafkomfort. Geputzt wird spürbar mit Sorgfalt, aber im feuchten Inselklima bleiben in den Details doch ein paar Spuren zurück. Als private Ferienunterkunft zu entsprechendem Preis wäre das stimmig; wer bei diesem Preis ein kleines Boutique-Hotel erwartet, wird die Lücke spüren.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

The owners are incredibly welcoming and helpful, making us feel at home right away. The property is vast, offering perfect peace and quiet, enhanced by a beautiful garden and the relaxing sound of trickling water. Our accommodation was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway!

Tout y est parfait! Le logement est tres fonctionnel, propre et confortable. En plus dun accueil personnalisé et chaleureux , les alentours du logement sont merveilleux. La nature, la riviere et les cours d'eau partout, le jacuzzi et sauna...je reve d'y retourner... Un endroit de rêve , au grand calme sur une île magnifique. Merci pour ces 3 jours de bonheur

Beautiful and clean with great staff and wonderful hosts. Delicious breakfast. The property had so much to offer including walking paths, hot tub, sauna, and the relaxing sound of water throughout!

If I want to be super picky, the mattresses could be updated, but this would not stop me from returning. We had the most amazing and comfortable stay, and the mattresses were not a big deal! The peppery was beautiful and so enchanting!

We had such a wonderful stay at Quinta da Mo! From the moment we arrived, the hosts made us feel more than welcome — truly at home. The houses and the entire property are beautifully maintained and created with so much care and love. Unfortunately, we had a bit of bad luck with cold and rainy weather during our stay, but even that was handled perfectly by the hosts, who immediately provided extra heaters for us. In summer, this place must be absolutely amazing, as the stone houses probably create a wonderfully comfortable indoor climate. There are also air conditioning units for both heating and cooling. Even the short morning walk to the breakfast area instantly puts you into a peaceful, zen mood. The gardens and park surrounding the property are simply breathtaking. Thank you for your kindness, flexibility, and hospitality. We will remember this beautiful place very fondly. Love, Christel and family

It’s perfect

Property is amazing and needs to be seen to believe

Lost power one morning No proprietor on premises (she’s 45 minutes away and not easy to reach when there’s a problem like when we awoke one morning without electricity). Hard to heat the house.

Onze afgelopen 12 dagen in Quinta da Mó waren in één woord: perfect. Vanaf het moment dat we aankwamen, voelden we ons meer dan welkom dankzij de ongekende gastvrijheid van Luisa en Abel. Zij doen er werkelijk alles aan om hun gasten te behagen. Onberispelijke service en warmte Niet alleen de eigenaren, maar het hele team verdient een pluim. Onze accommodatie werd dagelijks schoongemaakt en de bedden werden keurig opgemaakt. In het bijzonder willen we Pamela noemen; de persoonlijke klik met haar maakte ons verblijf nog specialer dan het al was. Wat ons verblijf echt onvergetelijk maakte, was de oprechte gastvrijheid. Toen we Abel toevallig in de buurt van hun woning tegenkwamen, werden we zelfs uitgenodigd om hun prachtige tuin te bewonderen en naar hun persoonlijke verhalen te luisteren. Deze persoonlijke aandacht is zeldzaam en hartverwarmend. Kortom: De combinatie van een prachtige omgeving, een brandschone accommodatie en een team met een gouden hart maakt Quinta da Mó tot een absolute aanrader. Luisa, Abel en Pamela: bedankt voor alles!

Le cadre est très beau et paisible, un vrai jardin tropical. Tout est pensé pour vous relaxer (jaccusi sauna) ainsi qu'un espace pour les grillades. Le patron et le personnel est très serviable et disponible. Le tout a fait de notre séjour un moment magique et hors du temps. Un auvent sur la porte d'entrée serait un plus en cas de pluie et un peu d'entretien des installations est à prévoir afin de rester au top niveau ! Merci à tout l'équipe de quinta da mo

A very beautiful and individually designed holiday home complex with extremely friendly staff and excellently equipped houses. We would love to come back. Many thanks for the wonderful time!

Just a small note: the washing machine and dryer were not directly available in the house but located in separate rooms and usable for an extra fee. Had we known this in advance, we would have packed a little differently.

Eine Unterkunft, die wirklich keine Wünsche offenlässt für Menschen, die Natur und Entspannung lieben. Sehr großzügige, luxuriöse Chalets mit einem tollen Frühstück und eingebettet in eine wunderschöne, gepflegte Natur. Hier kann man die Seele baumeln lassen! Die Gastgeberin hat sich anfangs persönlich sehr viel Zeit genommen, um uns anhand von Karten alles genau zu erklären, uns Tipps zu geben und auf Fragen einzugehen. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Incredible place located in a magical garden, full of beautiful exotic plants, hidden alleys, waterfalls and ponds. Truly exceptional people who own Quinta da Mo made this stay even better - we felt like we were visiting old friends and had the best service we could imagine. Will definitely be back to see them again!

Luisa, the gardener and the rest of the staff were amazing hosts, and incredible caretakers of the property. I've never been to a hotel quite like Quinta da Mo. I felt like I was living in a lush, temperate rainforest where I could truly relax and unwind. They have great amenities on the property and are within a short walk of some of the most amazing hot springs I've ever been to. The photos don't do the property justice! I can't wait to take another trip to Quinta da Mo.

It’s is magical place -complete relaxation and privacy ,in town Furnas and close to everything but staying fairy tale.hostesses -Luisa and Abel are very warm and accommodating even helped with planning and all tips .jacuzzi in the gardens .,sauna and steam ,comfortable bed after long day of hiking mountains and lakes and you ready again for more hiking. Breakfast done by Pamela is so delicious and filling.home made jams by Luisa 😘

We need to leave

The amazing garden inside of this boutique hotel makes you immediately feel relaxed. What is also super cool is that there are different fruit trees around our bungalow, which both the owner and Luis told us we can just pick the fruit and try, they all taste amazing. Also, the super short distance to the hot spring is another extra point, which is super convenient to have a less crowded late night hot spring session:)

The grounds of the hotel feel like a hidden oasis, with vibrant plant life that creates a tranquil, almost magical atmosphere. Every corner invites you to slow down, breathe deeply, and soak in the natural beauty. Perfect for those seeking a retreat surrounded by nature!

The surroundings of the hotel are extraordinary. It reminded me of Bali in the 1990s, before tourism hit the island. Very pristine and simply beautiful and peaceful. The breakfast lounge above the waterfall is exceptional. Breakfast is very good. All staff are amazing, Pamela at breakfast is always smiling, Luis is a gold mine of information and Luisa the owner is a very charming and nice person.

The towels could be a bit softer.

My husband and I stayed in the 3-bedroom house because there were no one-bedroom units available. It was beautiful to stay in the old mill house with a balcony overlooking the stream! The bedrooms were well presented, and we'd been provided with mattress toppers when I mentioned I struggle with harder mattresses - this was very thoughtful. The kitchen has everything you need, with a nice dining table (although it wouldn't fit everyone if 6 people were staying). The living room downstairs is quite unique! The location in Furnas is great - we enjoyed walking around town and to the gorgeous lake area nearby. The grounds of Quinta da Mo are beautiful and luscious - it was wonderful to have breakfast in such gorgeous natural surroundings, and Pamela was so kind and attentive! There was also the hot tub and sauna, not to mention a trampoline! It really is a lovely oasis, and in a convenient location for exploring this great part of the island.

It's clearly hard to manage humidity in the house, so towels and swimsuits didn't dry easily - and yet extractor fans in the internal bathrooms weren't working properly. We only realised towards the end of our stay that we could use the air conditioner purely as a dehumidifier, which helped to some extent. We didn't like having to pay 10 Euros to wash and tumble dry one load - we had already paid a lot to stay for a week, and there was also the faff of gathering sufficient coins to operate the machines. There were some areas where greater attention to detail would make the experience even better. For example, the loo seat hinge in one of the bathrooms was broken; the bars of soap kept falling into the bathroom sinks without soap dishes; and the DVD player wasn't working. We appreciate we could have raised these issues during our stay and the staff would have been happy to help as far as possible - but we didn't want the hassle, so we found our own solutions.

Loved our stay here. Absolutely beautiful property. Quiet and relaxing. Breakfast was delicious every morning with a stunning view. Accommodations was spacious and clean. Property was a close walk to many restaurants, a hot spring, and hikes. Would highly recommend staying here.

Great place, calm and relaxing. The service is professional, the owner of the place explains a lot what there is to do in the area and it really is the most beautiful place I've been to in Europe

The environment of the hotel is wonderful, when you come in , it is another world, very fresh air, trees, bamboos, water fall. etc. It is a very good place for the people from city to have a silent and relax place.

The entrance door is a bit difficult.

We ended up in the large expensive house which was strange for 2 people. The grounds were incredible, breakfast was fantastic. Extras in the facilities like the spa were amazing and you can walk everywhere

Breakfast was very nice, though a little limited for a vegetarian. Some tomatoes would have been nice to go with the scrambled egg. Pamela was a superb host at breakfast. She was efficient, very friendly and most helpful, as were all the staff we met.

Loved everything. If pushed, a toaster in the chalet would be a welcome addition.

Property was amazing. Beautiful grounds and gardens. Staff was lovely. On check in, we were provided a detailed map and outline from our host regarding key places to see on the island. The breakfast was excellent and something we looked forward to every morning.

From check in to check out, Quinta Da Mo was magic! Luis was there to greet us, tour the property and give us so much information on the island and what to do etc. We stayed in the main yellow house (2 adults and our four kids) and every moment of our stay was perfect. we used the amenities, the sauna, hot tub, Turkish bath, lounge area and I cooked most of our meals at the house both inside in the kitchen and in the outdoor kitchen where we lit a fire in the brick oven and grilled local steaks and veggies. The bamboo walkway greeted us every morning as we met Pamela in the lounge area daily for the delicious breakfast that was included. The table was set with chocolate milk and fresh orange juice for the kids and Pamela made us cappuccinos, Americans, espressos to order. Breakfast included fresh eggs, various fresh rolls, egg custards, fresh island fruit, bacon and a cheese plate. It was a serene way to start our day. Paola tidied up daily and was so helpful if we needed more towels etc. The owners checked in twice and are truly invested in your happiness!

what a DREAM! I felt like I was in an exclusive-only-see-it-in-the-movies casita! the grounds were beyond tranquil and stunning. I couldn’t stop taking photos of the paradise we were in!

Well appointed room, great hot tub and saunas. Nicely prepared breakfast, excellent staff who were exceptionally helpful. Enjoyed the use of their outdoor barbeque. Grounds were nicely landscaped and provided a peaceful environment.

Wish that it were closer to downtown.

The place is beautiful! You have everything you need to have a very enjoyable stay. We enjoyed the outdoor bbq and the breakfast was delicious. We even booked a private massage in the spa area ! The parking on the property was very handy. The rooms where very comfortable and the entire property is immaculate. I want to go back !!

The bed was not that comfortable (quite firm) but on par with what we have found in other accommodations in the azores.

Beautiful oasis, property manager Luis was amazing and always accessible. He sat down with us on the first day and went over suggested itinerary - down to where to eat. Above and beyond! My family had such a peaceful wonderful time there.

This place and our stay was so special that I know it will be ingrained in my memory forever. I can't wait to go back. We stayed in one of the bungalows which was comfortable and well equipped (including WIFI). We had a car and there was onsite parking inside the gates of the property. The grounds are simply stunning...like staying in a botanical garden. A lovely stream runs through the property and breakfast is served above a waterfall. The owner Luisa was very sweet and welcoming and we were impressed with the way she runs her business... so much attention to detail! We appreciated the her handwritten note and gift to commemorate our stay. Her staff was simply wonderful and we particularly appreciated Pamala who cooked a lovely breakfast for us each morning, gave us advice on on what to see, where to eat, and helped us find a clinic to get a COVID test for our return to the US.

very pleasing , unique and comfortable little "resort" feeling place to stay . There is no staff around at all time , You do have to be independent . Otherwise , staffs and owner helpful as needed . There is a homey feeling not found in a regular hotel . We are glad to have that experience .
