Die Aussicht war sehr gut, wir hatten die Suite gebucht mit Whirlpool, welcher schön vor dem Fenster platziert ist. Das Bett wirklich gross und bequem und im Zimmer hatte man gut platz. Die Unterkunft ist gut gelegen, das Personal bei Anliegen hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war lieb angerichtet und konnte auf der Terrasse mit bester Aussicht genossen werden.

Bis der Whirlpool gefüllt ist, geht es sehr lange. Das Badezimmer war sehr klein und wenn man duscht, wird alles nass- nicht sehr vorteilhaft. Ebenfalls hätte das Bad etwas sauberer sein können und eine Lüftung fehlt, gegen die Feuchte.

Location was excellent for exploring the fairy chimneys and the castle, within walking distance of the hotel. We weren’t able to see the balloons while we were as they weren’t able to fly due to the wind but I would imagine that the view from the rooftop terrace would be amazing. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.

The rooftop terrace was in a bad state of repair and nothing like what the pictures portray. There was a sign saying don’t go too near the edge, which was very advisable due to the condition. Felt that the overall condition of the hotel needed some renovation as it all seemed a bit tired.

Enkel lof voor de eigenaarsfamilie en het team rondom. Het totaalplaatje: hotelkamer, zwembad, uitzicht, ontvangst,....

De passage en capadocce nous avons passé une nuit à l’hôtel qui dispose d’une vue exceptionnelle! En revanche, pas d’ascenseur, pas de pente permettant l’accessibilité pour PMR. Autre gros hic, nous avons trouvé un scorpion, un vrai de vrai dans la chambre sur le lit… nous avons donc très mal dormi. En revanche, le personnel est exceptionnel et très serviable ! Un grande merci à l’équipe !

Wifi and GSM facilities are very poor, the coverage is available across the hotel premises and outside 300 metres, but the reception of wifi is not available within the rooms.

The location, staff and food was amazing. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who us travelling to Cappadocia.

The location is incredible with fantastic views of Uchiser castle and the surroundings. We got to see hot air balloon actually fly over us and got some amazing photos of hot air balloons each day. The breakfast was really good variety with plenty each day and fresh. They changed few things on different days. Had various areas to sit and enjoy views as you ate. The hotel was quieting an evening but only short taxi to the hub of Gerome. Hotel staff happy call taxi each time. This hotel is rustic, we only wanted room cleaned once and they did it lovely and it smelt so nice. The staff very much let us just get on with our holiday but helpful when asked anything. There was no encouragement to use restaurant or bar area, for us this was very relaxing. You really did feel you were enjoying Turkish experience and it’s got everything you would need with very good shower and great views as you stepped in to balcony. We on room 208 and really liked it. Air con worked really well once we worked out how to use it.

Not so much didn’t like but we had 12 hour delay on our flight arrival so had been up 24 hours, it would been so nice for hotel to actually give a welcome drink , if they also had put info package together with the hotel menu, map etc I think we would eaten a meal but wasn’t anything like that. Not sure why but two days before we left they took all cushions from upper outdoor Turkish viewing spot, then put chairs,rugs in a big pile ,then covered up small pool and stacked chairs. Maybe 8th September end of their season? But very odd when you still have quite few guests? But we just unstacked some and still sunbathed on roof top that had incredible views.

I stayed there for one night. Check-in and check-out was a bit inconvenient as we couldn’t find any by the reception desk. Other than that everything was good.

Location is amazing

You'd expect a hotel to be managed, wouldn't you? Well, Hermes cave hotel certainly isn't managed, though it is being run. Ok, so what do I mean by this? Well, singly, you'd expect a hotel, and emphasis on HOTEL here, to offer servicing of your room, even if it's the simple task of replenishing toilet roll and providing new towels. This is of significance when your stay is longer than "the norm" of a couple of days, as I opted for a week long stay, which was perfect as the region has much to offer in terms of exploring, walking and sightseeing in general. As other reviews have highlighted, there is >no< cleaning or servicing of rooms here. I hung up one of those "please clean my room" signs on the door handle of the room in the vain hope that this would indicate to the staff that _something_ was required inside. After a days adventuring, my return was greeted with removal of the sign and no actions to refresh my abode. Off I trotted to reception to request a couple loo rolls, and after some rummaging around, the lackey returned with a singular roll, muttering that this was the only one available. Well, my route to reception takes me past the dungeon where the cleaners obtain their supplies (it's a darkened room, with no windows and no natural light, save that which pours through the rickety door that's always left open - hence dungeon). What do I see in there as I pass by, but piles and piles of rolls of toilet paper, some what gives? After a further couple of days, I managed to secure a fresh bale of towels by speaking to the lovely cleaning lady, rendering the bathroom to resemble some dhobi on another continent, as staff obviously daren't enter in case some rabid denizen savage them about the lack of cleaning. My lovely room has a great balcony, overlooking the pool, so, having had my fill of watching hot air balloons float gracefully in the distance one early morning, I thought.

Old world charm in the midfle of a modern world

Hotel ist ein wenig runter gekommen. Schöne Terrassenaussicht. Zimmer waren sauber und wurde während dem Aufenthalt geputzt. Pool war sauber. Lage des Hotels top ! Total ausreichend für ein Kurztrip, wenn man kein Luxus erwartet! Die Mitarbeiter waren alle sehr bemüht und sehr hilfsbereit! Frühstück kann man lassen wie gesagt es war alles da und wurde auch gleich nachgefüllt. Ala carte Restaurant hat auch super geschmeckt. Das einzige Manko ist - KLIMAANLAGE fehlt . Wir haben nur einen Ventilator bekommen. ;(

The jacuzzi bit leaking

The view from the room was gorgeous. Breakfast spread was great and sumptuous. The staff was friendly and had good intent all throughout the stay inspite of the language barrier. They were generous and adjusting about a late checkout. The rooms had a terrace area with seating which was relaxing.

I had upgraded the room online before checking in. The only reason I upgraded was because the pictures showed the a sizeable luxury suite with spa jacuzzi overlooking the castle etc. This was misleading because the room that was assigned did not have the same as what was shown online. The spa jacuzzi was in a corner wall with no view and was majorly blocking the room space, making the so called 'luxury suite' tiny to move around and not spacious at all. Plus the jacuzzi was dirty and seemed like it was never cleaned for a long time (lots of dirt came out when they came to clean after we complained). Fortunately, they moved us to another room the last day but the jacuzzi was inside the bathroom. I would advise the hotel to PLEASE be transparent about these luxury suites and mention that there MAY BE only one or two suites that have the spa with open views (as advertised online). That way expectations are set prior to the stay.

We booked this room last minute as our hotel in Göreme had messed our booking up cutting it short three days. The location for this hotel is spectacular. You have a clear view of the air balloons taking off and they move towards Uchisar castle which is directly opposite. Both terrace and balconies have a gorgeous view of the valleys. Breakfast is buffet and has a lovely variety and staff are attentive and keep everything topped up.

Damp spores in the shower seal and shower door is all mucky and yellow.

İnstead of 2 separate beds requested we had one but the hotel immediately addressed this issue

The original room had a problem(ceiling fan fell into the bathroom) so we were given a significantly more expensive room for the duration of the stay. The hotel is very good with an amazing location, but the rooms have some quirks and are somewhat outdated/need maintenance or small improvements. The personal was very accommodating, though we relied heavily on google translate :) in general the hotel has potential to be a 5* masterpiece with some investment and improvements.

Pool was not working. Wifi and cell signal was missing from parts of the suite. No power sockets in the bedroom. (Expected to have at least one per person for phone/laptop). Some Light switches are far from the lights. One Very squeaky board in the floor.

Staff is very friendly. Always ready to help. Breakfast was good. We were traveling by car so staying in Uchishar was not the problem for us because in 5-7 minutes we were in Goreme where are all the main restaurants and entertaining places. The hotel has a good terrace with a good view.

HK is the only minus for the hotel. They are very unattantive. Terrace needs to be paid more attantion. When we checked in it was not clean and during our stay (5 days) no one cleaned it. The room daily also was not cleaned properly. They do not use vacuum cleaner and do not take off the trash...

Amazing location with direct view of Uchisar Castle. Staff very friendly. Rooms are unique and wonderful.

Excellent location, with a view of Uchisar castle and watch the balloons. Some even flew above the hotel. Friendly staff, breakfast was good. Dinner we had at the hotel’s terrace was also delicious. I would definitely recommend the hotel.

We stayed in the family room with a terrace. It has two sleeping areas, one does not have an airconditioning but the part with double bed has and connected to the other room with a curtain. In the summer season stating in the part with no airconditioning might be a problem but we didn’t experience that. The furniture and bathroom may welcome an update. Other hotel facilities, terrace, restaurants are good.

One of the best views in Cappadocia, facing the beautiful and historic Uchisar Castle and the balley where all the hot air balloons rise from. The resort staff is friendly and breakfast service is amazing too.

The hotel is located in a very good spot just in front of the Uchisar castle which is few mins walk way in distance. The location is so convenient that travelling to any nearest site seeing places is very close. The staff were really good and supported well during our stay, the food was good too.

Breakfast might have been different(on rotation basis rather than same varieties daily) or improve choice of food for the guests.

The hotel is right next to Uchisar castle so the view is amazing and the staff are so kind. Special shout out to Aslihan and Anna for your warm welcome throughout our stay. The breakfast spread is delicious and not to mention the kitchen staff kindly prepared breakfast packs for us as we were going to our balloon ride as well as for our early check out. Would definitely recommend staying here during a visit to Cappadocia as it is more relaxed with parking right in front of the hotel and less packed compared to central Goreme.

The furniture on the uspstairs terrace could be replace by more comfortable ones.

It's all about the view which is spectacular from this hotel. It must be one of the best. The staff were friendly. The breakfast was awesome.

The bedroom had a musty smell that despite opening the door regularly to let fresh air in, we could never get rid of. This had nothing to do with the level of cleaning which was fine. The outside areas, terrace and furniture, were actually quite scruffy and need attention. The upper terrace was unusable which was a real shame. No comfy furniture to relax on.

Perfect location overlooking the castle where you could sit with coffee and watch the balloons. One cleaning lady was particularly very friendly and polite and spoke every time she saw us.

Other staff were less customer friendly, often not acknowledging you when you said hello. Breakfast tables were not properly cleaned from night before for breakfast in the morning.

The view from the hotel was spectacular, probably one of the best in Cappadocia. Particularly at 6 am when all the balloons are being lit and going into sky. It is opposite the castle which again has spectacular views and convenient if wanting to go up early in the morning. The room was spacious and very clean. The bed was comfortable and the shower had good hot water. The cleaners/maids always tried to communicate and were friendly. Sufficient cupboard space if needed. The breakfast was a decent buffet of a mixture of hot and cold food and you could take it on to the terrace. We dined at the restaurant on the first night and it was outside. Although cold, it was lovely, as fires around tables lit and we were given blankets. It was very atmospheric and there were two lovely singers. We could not believe our luck. there was only one person who spoke English, who may have been the manager? and he translated for us. the food was excellent and we managed to try the Cappadocia wine. Bathrobes were provided on request.

Due to wind, our 2nd night dining was moved inside. As no staff working this time spoke English, it was a different experience to our first night. There was only one vegetarian main dish so my husband ordered several starters as a main, this totally confused staff. No other diners in the room, but there was the two singers with microphones. It was a small room and the sound was loud and vibrated badly. We could not hear staff or our selves speak. I ordered a wine, it didn't come. No staff attended upon us for 50 minutes, yet we were the only diners? We left after mains with no drink or dessert and went to the restaurant a couple of doors down. Music does blast out all day and the singers were on each night till 11pm, even if no audience. On one night it was midnight. The speakers are loud and underneath the rooms and sound travels over the valley. It's not good if you want an early night for 4.30am start for balloons.Around 2-3pm every day, Eminem was played, very loudly. I love Eminem, my husband doesn't due to.crude references to sex, violence and fowl language. It seemed an odd choice for a tranquil setting that is predominantly Muslim, and not really what we were expecting. On our second night we were woken at 10.30pm by a staff member who stood at our door and kept saying Iron. We have no idea if she was asking us for the iron? or asking if we wanted one? Who does ironing on holiday? and why knock on a guests door at 10.30pm. Our last but one day, I came out of the shower to grab my hung up robe to find it and my husbands had gone, along with a sentimental string bracelet made by my grand-daughter that was in the pocket. No notice this would happen. We also learned from our first morning to move the car if parked in front of the hotel before 10am, otherwise you are blocked in by coaches of day trippers. The bathroom smelt of blocked drain, but OK if window and door left open.

Good location with a good view Dinner was tasty

A hotel that looks better in pictures. Old rooms, poor breakfast and staff not speaking English made our stay quite unpleasant.

We liked the location of the hotel and the view.

1. Staff doesn’t speak ANY English, you need to use translator at all times 2. Our shower handle broke down within first shower and nobody ever came to replace it 3. There was a storm and our room got flooded, we reported to reception and nobody ever came to clean the room, the water had to dry itself (imagine!), all carpets smelt of dump after. 4. Breakfast was poor and mostly we didn’t like it. 5. I ordered alcoholic drinks and they were always making it filling glass with plenty of cucumbers or oranges (not talking about one or 2 slices, 3/4 glass was filled with fruits, seemed like they wanted to save on mixers or something I was confused).

Hotel is in a very good location, the view is the best in the area. Breakfast is very complete and good quality. Unfortunately the main receptionist is very unfriendly and was not dedication or service to the guest. The hotel have good potential if the personnel get some training on how to treat properly the guests… a simple smile go really fare…

It is misleading to say it is a cave hotel, or a cave room. It is not. However, it's location is spectacular and the views are amazing from here.

It shoukd not be sold under the pretence of being an authentic cave hotel. It is not.

Wow. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Such friendly staff, and superb location - we could walk everywhere. Still can't get over the stunning view from our window, the pool and the restaurant.

Hotel is not maintained. In our room all doors were broken. First day we got stuck on the terrase, as door was broken and did not open. Technician came to save us after some time. Second day my husband got stuck in the bathroom, same reason. We told the staff, but they did not do repair the door. There was no warm water last 2 days. Staff is polite, but cold, and their english is very poor, communication is difficult.

The hotel was peacefully tucked away in Uchisar and opposite the castle with a stunning sunrise view. We loved having our morning coffee outside and dipping into the pool in the hot afternoons. The hotel staff made our stay beautifully comfortable by accommodating to our requests and being flexible. We stayed during summer but the room was quiet cool and had great air conditioning and nice bed. Overall there was a relaxing atmosphere and a friendly homely vibe.

There isn’t a lot to say about the hotel that was bad. It was an incredible stay.

Everything about this place was incredible, started with amazing and friendly staff , great size and clean rooms , very accommodating to out of our questions and request. The beautiful Terra’s outside of your door , delicious food and magnificent views all day long on top of it all , very relaxing atmosphere

Loved my stay at this property, front desk girl was very helpful, told us Al the places we should visit since we had no tour schedule. The room was nice and clean and the pool was my son’s highlight. They stored my luggage on arrival since I was there early and also on my departure day. Food at the restaurant was delicious, best caprese salad we had in Turkey.

The view is just amazing! You can see the castle and have a walk there, ballon’s can be seen from the hotel as well! Rooms are charming tho our cave room had a little of humid smell. The restoration serve very tasty food. Not all the personnel speaks English, but there’s always someone at the reception with perfect English to assist you. Pool is nice as well. Staying in the hotel was like being in a fairy tail ))

Uçhisar Kalesi ile vadiyi birlikte gören eşsiz bir konumda. İşletmeciler ve çalışanlar çok yardımcı ve nazik. Odalar geniş, ancak mağara konsepti nedeniyle biraz loş. Her akşam canlı müzik var. Günün diğer saatlerinde müzik sisteminden yapılan yayında ilk gün çok yüksek sesle Türkçe pop vardı, rica ettik değiştirdiler. Kahvaltı çeşitleri makul, fakat açık büfenin olduğu bölüm karanlık ve bakımsız. Çok küçük dokunuşlarla düzelebilir.

This hotel has the most incredible view of Uchisar Castle, it was simply stunning. Breakfast was incredible, they bring over so much food and the staff is very friendly and helpful! Perfect if you're looking for a nice stay in a quiter location compared to Goreme which is much busier. We absolutely loved it!
