Mizizi House of Sandton Bed & Breakfast

From April 15.-24th, 2022 we had the opportunity to stay in Mizizi‘s House of Sandton B&B. We experienced a warm welcome by our hosts creating a feeling „at home“ from the very beginning. We enjoyed a good room and an excellent breakfast throughout our stay. The beautiful garden and pool area was always open to us. Whenever needed we have been served with tea and coffee during the day. Our hosts Mary and Mumbi were always prepared to support our planning with fresh ideas. We could experience the highlights of Joburg and the region, meet the friends of our son and return home with the good feeling that our hosts will be available for some words about our day. We recommend to stay in Mizizi's House of Sandton for nice and safe holidays feeling at home!

The property is in a quite, safe neighbourhood. There is a good, well-maintained wwimming pool and lawn. Decent rooms for a business stay. Very close to town for business in Sandton, Johannesburg and Pretoria

The property was absolutely beautiful, great location, one could easily walk to the mall, my room was perfect overlooking the swimming pool and the breakfast was delicious. Mary and her Daughter were amazing hosts, they made me feel very much at home, always checking to make sure that I was okay. I will definitely go back, and highly recommend the place should you be visiting Sandton. Mary

Very friendly staff that makes you feel like family. Breakfast is delicious each day and some days they integrate traditional south african and kenyan cuisine. Very safe and if you email the host she will help you coordinate whatever details you need.

Really enjoyed the friendliness of the staff. Felt like staying with family.

Beautiful, clean, neat, safe and tranquil place to stay. The hosts are absolutely amazing and their hospitality is exceptional. If you are ever in Sandton or in the vicinity, then Mizizi House of Sandton is the place to stay.

Breakfast was very average and not to standard. The host was very friendly and I was welcomed. I was cold at night so I don't know if i would come back again . The outside is quite nice and pretty. Thanks

The booking details and photos did not match the actual room at all. I ended up leaving without staying there. The room booked according to the photos was not the room I was put in and when it was queried they said the better room was more expensive.

The B&B is in a safe area. The room is very clean, and the breakfast is great. There is a shopping mall nearby (around 10 to 15 mins of walk).

A lovely place clean place to stay. All of the staff were really friendly and helpfuland good size rooms. A lovely safe and quiet location. We will look forward to staying here again on our next visit to Johannesburg

Not too bad. Close to Sandton so that helps. Breakfast wasn't ready on first morning but they made a great effort to get something done. Room wasn't serviced at all. I would have told the owner but I never saw her after arriving.

Very accommodating and eager to please! Making sure guests are happy and comfortable! Friendly, lovely staff. Peaceful and lovely accommodation. Thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast! Fresh fruit, yoghurt, eggs bacon / sausage! Toast, jam and cereals were available - Talk about spoilt for choice! Absolutely will be back!!

Was there for business. Very close to Sandton central. Easy access with uber. Friendly owner and staff but staff could be more attentive to detail with service. But very good value for money especially in Sandton

Warm and Comfy. A great service and good location.Our stay was short but unforgettable. My friend and I stayed there for 3 nights, the location is easy access and silent at night. It is also a safe neighborhood.

My flight delayed but the host waited till I arrived very late in the night.The host went out of her way to explain the best places to visit in Sandton and how to get to there - extremely helpful.Lovely place.

A guest house is more than a place to stay. It's about finding a space that feels like home. The hosts were incredible. I had a small problem with my bed's electric blanket and they jumped to fix it and worked so hard to make up for the hassle. Further more, they are humiterias. The owners is doing mission work with less privileged kids across Africa. So supporting them indirectly support kids in need. Apart from that, the house is beautiful with an awesome sun room for breakfast. Worth a visit

I stayed here in April 2018 on business in Jo'burg for three days and i must say i was impressed by this place, more so on the location (near the CBD), 15mins walk to Nelson Mandela Square but also Mary (the proprietor) and her husband were such great hosts. Next time am in Jo'burg this is where i'm staying again! Very homely!

We stayed at Mizizi House for two nights. Mary and her team were most helpful. The location was very convenient. The rooms were very comfortable and the hospitality outstanding. I would recommend this place to all JHB travelers. Mary - the owner - is a delight!

If you are looking for a quiet relaxed and homely stay in Sandton, look no further. The guest house is located in a gated safe neighborhood in Parkmore. It is very close to all major city attraction like the convention center and the US embassy and offers a wide variety of choice. I was on work/course and needed to rise very early and leave very early. Aunty Mary was very motherly and kind enough to help with my needs at all times. The rooms that i stayed in was compact facing the pool. They were clean and well looked after. One piece of improvement that i would suggest is the addition of a fan/air conditioner as it did get a bit hot in the evenings (PS. Aunty Mary did provide a fan on request) Rengith

Mizizi House is fantastic. The staff are incredibly friendly and cant do enough for you. Its clean, tidy and very comfortable. You can relax in the lounge or the garden. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was brilliant.

Do not expect any help from them for anything, they will simply tell you to google whatever you might ask. Do not expect service or assistance, in fact do yourself a favour and search for another accommodation.

Overall I enjoyed the hospitality, will definitely recommend it, with a lovely poolside area to relax and unwind, also very clean and breakfast was not too bad as well, safe location nice and peaceful.
