Wigle's Motel

Clean and spacious rooms . Friendly staff. Would come again .

The room was clean and quiet

Just wow! When you see "rennovated motel" your brain can go places. Wigel's goes to the good place. The rooms are super clean, comfortable and very nicely appointed. Check-in was fast and easy. Parking is mere steps from your door. For the price, you will be pleasantly surprised.

Good value for the money.

Everything was great. Things were clean and tidy. The area was good. Only small issue was the sliding door for the bathroom was missing the handle so it was difficult to open and close. Otherwise everything was good. I would come back again.

Room was clean. Slippers provided was a nice touch. Pillows could use replacing. Good value overall for the price but if your someone who wants to watch TV in the room the cable is terrible. We asked someone to take a look at it but they couldn't improve the picture. Very snowy picture and barely watchable.

A bit chilly

Clean quiet room. Friendly and helpful staff

The property seemed well maintained. The room could have had curtains along with the blinds to block out more light that filtered through from the parking lot.

Great location for birding

Fantastic stay at a great price.

Pet friendly

Everything was excellent all the way around. Staff were very helpful.

Bed and furniture was dated; Bathroom had rusted accessories/bars

Great for the price, just not much in the area.

First, this place was falsely advertised with photos of a pool and hot tub. The pool and hot tub are contained in a private suite not available to book through Hotels.com. This was very disappointing and the front desk staff is aware and explained this to me. Our room and bed were very clean and comfortable for the two nights we stayed. Fridge was marginal - it kept our drinks cool not cold and there was no way to adjust the temperature. We had our rooms cleaned and bed made each day without asking, which was awesome. The complimentary slippers was a nice touch. However, there appeared to be people living at this location who spent most of their time outside, talking loud, drinking alcohol and smoking until sometime after 11 PM. Needless to say, we did not have a restful sleep the first night. I called front desk the next morning to complain and that night, it was quiet around 9 PM but they still gathered outside to talk, smoke, and drink alcohol during the day. Motels need to place long-term guests elsewhere especially if they are noisy and active to prevent them from disturbing others. I would not return to this motel.

The room we received was at the back of motel. It had a residence above it and was really loud. Would ask for a different room if staying there again.

It was perfect thank you

Nice and clean. Front desk staff was great.

Buildings are well kept and painted and the landscaping is beautiful with potted plants all around.

Meets the basics. Not constantly staffed and had to wait for someone to show up from off-site to check in. It quiet and safe.

Good size room. Quiet. Clean. Close to a number of restaurants

Estuvimos dos noches en el hotel está muy cerca del puerto para tomar el Ferry a Pelee Island y Pelee Point National Park hay restaurantes muy cerca y el personal que trabaja allí es muy amigable lo recomiendo

The room and property were clean, though the bed had a bit of a squeak. Other than that, we were very satisfied with our stay. Staff at the reception is accommodating.

Comfy bed. Very nice shower, great water pressure.

The hotel is extremely well kept. I love the flowers at every unit, so inviting. The bathroom was the cleanest I have ever seen and we have been to hotels that were more expensive and yet not as clean. It is just on the edge of the business core where the choice of Mexican restaurants is unmatched in Canada. So it was convenient, clean, welcoming and I would not hesitate to recommend it.

We very much enjoyed our stay here. The room was updated and very clean. The location is excellent only a couple blocks to downtown. Would diffantly stay here again.

Nice well kept hotel, clean renovated rooms, good location, helpful staff

Staff friendly. Small room and bathroom but in good condition for an older motel. Had plenty of pillows and it was easy to get a good rest on the bed. Economical when travelling and you are only in your room to sleep. Plenty of towels, has fridge, microwave and toiletries. Close to Point Pelee Park and the ferries. We would stay here again if in that area.

Fantastic value for the money. Staff was friendly and efficient, very nicely renovated. Would highly recommend.

Very clean place.

I liked that we were close to everything, it was pet friendly and the price was affordable. Would definitely come again.

Would have liked a pool. No ice or vending machines

It needs to be rated as a 5 star

Quaint little motel close to town. Nice upgraded rooms. Downside was that the platform bed frame was dirty and didn’t appear to have been vacuumed ever, crumbs/who knows what at the sides and dust along the back.

Dust around the beds. Wipe/wash bed frames….other than this excellent IMO

Staff were friendly. The room was large. Air conditioning was excellent. Convenient location. Daily housekeeping. As a solo woman traveller I felt safe. Parking is right in front of the unit.

Suited me fine.

Our stay at the Wigle's Motel was great! The staff at check in was friendly and efficient. Our room was spacious, clean and updated. The outside table was nice to have, with an overhang to block from the sun or rain. The area was quiet also. Definitely would stay here again if in the area and would recommend!!

Easy check-in as desk clerk was there when we arrived. We saw others who had to call a number as office was locked but clerk arrived quickly. Our room (104) was close to the office and road so there was noise from road if sitting outside but once in the room it was quiet. The room was spotless. It was tiny for sure but for the price you cannot complain. We stayed two nights and we had maid service for our next day which is unheard of these days. So I would say great value for money just ask for a room further from road if you want to sit out and watch the fireflies at night. Thank you for a nice visit.

Clean quiet older style motel that has been completely updated. Good location and good value.

Good feeling

Staff was kind and our room was very clean and comfortable. I appreciated the makeup wipes provided. No issues whatsoever! Would come here again.

We were delighted with the room and property! The room seemed brand new, everything was clean and comfortable, temperature was nice and cool, and the bed was amazingly comfortable. We were very impressed! There's no question we will refer people to Wigle's. In fact, we already have! And we'll happily stay again next time.

This was a lovely property in Leamington. The rooms had obviously been newly renovated and looked great. I liked that the room had a fridge and was fine with having only a walk-in shower, no tub. The pillows were nice. It was close the downtown and quite a few restaurants. My only real complaint was that they didn't include blackout curtains - they only had horizontal blinds. They provided privacy, but did absolutely nothing to block out light.

This was our first opportunity to stay at this property, and we would most definitely return! We spent 2 nights there from June 22 - 24. We were greeted warmly by the charming young lady at reception, and she provided great tips for dining and catching the sunset over the lake. We stayed in Room 111. This is an older property that has received some very nice updating at some point - probably recently. Our room was spotlessly clean, nicely appointed with furniture, a mini-fridge, and microwave. The bed was extremely comfortable as well. The property is close to many restaurants, shops, and grocery stores. The only VERY minor "ding": there's a light right outside our room, above our door, that was on all night - so, the room did not get super dark at night, even with the blinds closed all the way. But, since we had two fairly active days exploring the area and Point Pelee National Park, we were tired enough that we still slept pretty well. We feel the room was an exceptional value, especially considering what some of the nearby chain properties were charging (albeit with more amenities). All in all, yes we'd return.

Great ..small nice room with everything we needed.

Everything is excellent. Best choice if you need to take the 10am ferry to Pelee Island, as driving times are quite unpredictable with HW401.

The graasy area was great for our dog and safe for us.

Very nice!

Very clean overall and great value. Second stay and would highly recommend it for anyone looking for great value.

Clean, quiet, convenient, affordable.

Excellent place to stay. Renovated and updated. Comfy bed

The front desk staff sets the bar for excellent service!! Ice machine was out of service, but they quickly brought me a bag of ice from their sister motel. The Standard queen room was comfortable, but small. If you're bringing in a lot of luggage, upsize your choice of room. Shower power was delightful.

Property and room were very clean, will be staying again on our next visit to Leamington.

Enjoyed my stay at Wigles motel. Bed was very comfortable.

Solid choice in Leamington. Clean and comfortable room near the center of town. Nicely equiped, great shower. Walking distance to several restaurants and just a few minutes drive to the ferry dock. We would not hesitate to stay there again.

We had an excellent stay at Wigle's Motel. The room was clean and comfortable, nice bed, desk space, mini fridge that was perfect for our short stay, and a wonderful shower. The water pressure is unbelievable, and the amenities (shampoo, conditioner, lotion) are really nice! Free and fast wifi available, and easy parking right in front of our suite. We will definitely be coming back.

The property was very clean and recently renovated. Great location, we stayed here in order to catch the Ferry to Peele Island.

Nice to have Microwave and Fridge, slippers for cold floor.

Very friendly, a little expensive. Very clean, very calm at night. No rug (yes!), and wifi is very bad, always disconnecting (that's why 4 stars instead of 5). 10-15 min. from Pointe-Pelee park's.

Room is a little small with no place for a table or chair, but very clean and comfortable, had a pleasant stay. Quiet residential area, with good places to eat within a short walking distance.

A warm and friendly reception when I arrived. And a nice clean room with a comfortable bed.

If you are looking for a nice ( clean comfortable ) stay in the area this is a great option- the young lady at check in - (Brooklyn I believe) was the perfect fit for us upon on arrival after a very long day (9 hours) of driving- she was very accommodating, informed and most importantly she was friendly - the quick overnight stay was perfect for us ! Thanks for sharing your place !

Wasn't happy with this place. Woman who works the evening weekend shift she was wonderful the woman in the morning needs a new job. There was only 4 people total at this hotel i booked two nights asked to check out at 12pm on the sunday and the lady in the morning was so rude and denied the late check out

Nice and clean room.

Excelente lugar para pasar la noche muy agradable el ambiente

Great motel

Very nicely decorated. Felt like home. We had a King size bed, very comfortable. Nice to have mini fridge and microwave. Floors are clean, but ceramic so it was cold, but they do have complimentary slippers. So again a homely touch.

clean, welcoming and comfortable. only issue was that the atV wasn't working.

It was above my expectation

The room we got was pretty good, the night lamp didn’t work and the tv was a little old and didn’t work well other than the room was clean and cozy

easy access to the town it was good

Neat and tidy property with easy parking, lots of maintained grassy areas, and easy to walk to restaurants, cafes, bakeries. Easy drive to Pt. Pelee, wineries, and other attractions. The room was clean and had pleanty of space (even with dogs) and had everything needed. The bed was comfortable. Bathroom was clean with great water pressure and a nice tub. Liked the tiled floors throughout. And it was a dog friendly place with a reasonable pet policy and fee. Lots of places to easily walk dogs. Staff was nice and helpful. Looking forward to staying here again.

Clean and recently remodelled. Very accommodating staff.

The check in was fast and friendly The rooms are updated and modern and clean Good location for us to visit family

Room was a bit small but but clean and comfortable bed.

Small but sufficient and had everything necessary for a comfy stay. Even slippers were provided.

We've stayed at the Wigle motel a number of times. It's always clean, comfortable and good value. The only complaint, if you can call it that, is that in the winter the floors are quite cold. I know tile floors are easy to clean, but in the cold weather, they are cold. But it is a great place to stay in Leamington.

Everything was perfect! Liked the property. Will come back again.

Nice clean comfortable room. Would stay again.

The Getaway suite was almost perfect! Wish we had known how to turnoff lights for sleeping. Netflix only access was fine once we knew about it. Loved the pool. Wish the hottub had stronger jets. Pool and hottub attached meant hot tub wasnt as hot as we are used to. Overall property was fantastic and very well decorated. Surprisingly Upscale motel rooms.

We were a little upset about the fridge not working we were travelling with perishables- snacks. We were offered to keep it in the main office - which was fine but, not really accessible. No offer of compensation for the inconvenience- they were aware the fridge wasn’t operating. Otherwise it was ok for a budget stay

Everything was excellent. The only thing I would like to see is a recycling container in the room. Staff are doing a great job here!!

Nice relaxing stay for two nights while we were birding at Point Pelee and Holiday Beach. This was our fourth time at this location and we will be back.

Excellent

There was a fluctuating temperature problem in the shower

Very comfortable, super clean room. This is what used to be called a “motor court,” but modernized and very, very nice. We’d absolutely stay again and recommend.

The Wigle's is a very well ran place. Clean, quiet, conveniently located, easy parking, comfortable. Could not have asked for a better place.

Our stay was amazing loved the room worked excellent with our dogs,, staff was very friendly and helpful,,, will be back again for sure

The room itself was clean minus the potato bugs on the shower floor. The refrigerator did not work and there was no ice in the machine. The shower itself was awesome with excellent water pressure. The lady at the front desk has excellent customer service and very very helpful with directions.

An affordable and enjoyable stay. The rooms are small but well appointed and clean. The overall property is well maintained and staff are helpful and friendly. If you are looking for no frills affordable property the Wiggle Motel is an excellent choice in the Leamington area.

My wife snd I stayed here on business forn3 nights. Everything was wonderful and we have no complaints. The room was newly renovated and modern, spotless and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful and the location was very convenient.

Very underrated property, very very nice

Very clean!

Room was very cozy, loved having a fridge and coffee maker , bed comfortable , water pressure was great . Great place to stay

It would be better if shower head has extension cord.

This is such a cute, clean and comfortable place to stay. It's an "old school" motel with totally updated rooms. The renovations are quite beautiful! We arrived too early for check in and happened to speak to the two young people cleaning rooms at the time. They were so friendly and helpful! We loved staying here and will definitely return on our next visit to the area!!!

This motel is very conveniently located and very clean and comfortable. Quiet and well appointed. The only drawback I can see is that the room was quite tiny. Otherwise we enjoyed spending the night. Checkin was easy and quick Price was reasonable All in all a good deal

Always clean, and comfortable
