The Golden Pine Hotel

Excellent location in the heart of Baguio city. Some of the friendliest staff I have ever interacted with.

Some maintenance issues need to be addressed. No remote for aircon and it was impossible to turn it off. Electrical fittings need to be checked.

We liked the large room with 1 sitting chair but 2 would ve been even better for 2 of us? We had an electric jug n fridge but no coffee or tea sachets or creamer but might be asking for too much there? Staff were helpful and friendly and seemed to accept our family n friends dropping in to visit. We had no trouble hailing a cab but needed to exercise for about 1m5km n half hourcwalk to get to Session rd strip but I guess still ok location. Night clubs were a bit noisy last Saturday night but rest of week quiet enough overnight to sleep soundly. Breakfasts were good but our evening meal wasn t as good as our restaurant quality we're used to at our favourites in baguio. We needed to ask for helping working the shower head from tap on to shower head and the face sink plug lever but when we asked for help service desk and housekeeping wasted no time in coming to help us: within 2 minutes even.

As above but not absolutely disliked. Just room for improvement on a few points we reckon. Coming from Australia where business or service staff can seem impersonal and too business like even unfriendly towards potential or actual customers here we enjoy the informal and friendly and helpful relationship with hotel staff.

The TV and internet access needs upgrade/ improvement. Internet access is a necessity nowadays. No small refrigerator that we used to have.

Location was amazing. The staff was nice. The food was great in the morning as well.

We upgraded to a room with window on a higher floor at a reasonable extra charge. Helpful and friendly staff at reception and in dining area. Convenient location in 10-15 minutes walking distance to town center/Session Road

Ustabilt wifi som ofte falder ud - rækkevidde heller ikke bedst. En del trafikstøj men til gengæld er man i hjertet af Baguio.

It’s hard to lock or open the doors at times…both the bathrooms and the main doors..I think it needs upgrading..

Shower was good

Construction going on, was woken up at 7am by drilling! Upon check in was not informed about any construction! The breakfast was unacceptable, was served cold ham sandwich meat, one scrambled egg, and was charged 50p for the milk for my coffee!

Staff was very friendly and attentive.

Room was advertised with tub. That was the reason we chose the room. Staff said none of their rooms have tubs but stated that their sister hotel has tubs. False advertising and paid higher price expecting a tub. Coffee pot, cups, water in room, but no coffee. Has the prep for coffee but does not offer coffee. Can not even by single use coffee packets on premises. No refrigerator

1) Extremely over priced for a very old hotel, no fridge, broken ac, not clean. See pics! I stayed at a clean, new hotel for 1/3 lesser price and better amenities after this 2) Noisy and can't sleep as people being loud on the streets late night and there is zero sound protection. 3) So called free breakfast is lame with just rice and some salad and fish set for 220? Fish looked dry and unappetizing. Skipped it the second day. 4) Deceitful behavior of staff- They gave me a room that was super old with a broken ac and I then see the window screens are torn and windows don't close with insects entering. I raise an issue and they offer to spray insecticide!! So, I can sleep with that smell!! I refuse and ask for another room, they show me a super small room saying all rooms are full so I said okay but since this is at a lesser price, I need a refund. They refuse and say it is same price. Then, I said the booking.com app clearly shows a different price and will raise an issue with booking then they finally give me a room that was same as my booking which was better kept and windows shut. They tried their best to swindle me and their attitude was disgusting!! Don't know why it is so highly priced.

The room is noisy and dirty smelly. Seems like nothing works in that room. We have to call the maintenance and he fixed it

Clean and simple, comfortable bed, reasonably good location near the park. The decor is pretty bizarre but it's a decent place to stay at.

The staff was really unhelpful recommending places to eat around the hotel. The electricity in the room took a little bit of wiggling to work. No plugs next to the bed, but seems to be pretty common in the Philippines.

The location was perfect. The staff, elevators, cleanliness and breakfast were all very good.

The murals on the walls were from Mine Craft, a video game. The artist was lacking some skills around depth and shading while attempting 3D illustrations.

Receptionist wanted to charge us again even though we've already paid via website as evidenced in the booking confirmation and email, but i refused. Then she wanted to copy my card details including my card cvv, which i refused.

We're a couple booking for a family suite so we enjoyed the bigger space. 1 large bed, 1 bunk bed and sofa. I liked the elevator access, the refrigerator, the hair dryer, free slippers and shower with hot water. They had hotel toiletries like shampoo, soap, toothbrush, toothpaste. Free breakfast included. The restaurant below is open until 9pm. Located just behind Burnham park so easy access while walking.

Lack of utensils Lack of toilet paper. Not many options for vegans in the free breakfast. But there's salad you can order (not included in free breakfast). The owner wasn't pleasant. Wifi was not working well. It kept disconnecting.

Great location accessible to reach SM mall, Burnham park tourism activities & restaurants. Staff is very friendly and accommodating I have extended my stay and was offered a discount rooms are very spacious & clean with hot showers. There is a restaurant available downstairs with an international & Filipino cuisine.

The breakfast could be improved! But the Filipino cuisine is great in the restaurant and would recommend.

The room was large and comfortable, with a spacious balcony. The breakfast options were plentiful. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was a short walk to Burnham Park.

The hotel is a little dated for the price. There was a problem with the shower. However, it was fixed the next day. The location is somewhat noisy with traffic for those who like quiet at night.
