The hotel was very clean and staff very welcoming. Our room was lovely and my partner especially loved having a bath.

We stayed in Biggar for a wedding, we were running a bit short on time, but the manager met us on arrival allowed us to check in early and leave our bags. We made it just on time. Super friendly staff, breakfast was excellent, the room was clean and spacious. Couldn’t have been better.

Perhaps just an oversight but we only had 1 big towel for the two of us when showering.

Not obvious it had tea/coffee & glasses in room as in a cupboard. Arrived late after a wedding but couldn't find a glass to have a drink of water. Our room a little dark. Skirtings in room & bathroom definitely needed a wee clean. Lampshades askew need fixed.

So relaxed,no hassle,nothing a problem.Plenty of advice about parking,eating out,taxi's & gave us an extention to check out as we had 2 busy days at the fantastic Cornhill Castle & we're not getting any younger.Lol.The staff were just lovely & a special thank you to them.Would defo go back.x

Modern building tastefully decorated. Excellent staff and breakfast. Ideally situated on the high street but set back far enough to be peaceful. Rooms a decent size and shower was great.

Lovely big bedroom. We enjoyed the garden sitting out and the lovely scented flowers. Breakfast was first class and staff were very nice and helpful.

Reception staff was helpful. Rooms were ok but would have been nice to open the windows. Appreciated having a fridge. Location was perfect. Nice coffee and sandwiches directly across from the hotel. Biggest drawback was available parking. There was none with the property. We needed an accessible spot for my dad and although there is parking right in front, it is time restricted . We had to park quite a distance and it is a busy high street. Breakfast was terrible. It was free but we chose to skip the second day.

Clean, excellent location and close to local amenities

Breakfast was good. I would have preferred not to go out for an evening meal after a tiring journey.

Bed was very comfortable, room was clean but dated. Food was excellent & staff went out of their way to please you.

The location is very good. The staff are very pleasant. The bed was comfortable.

We have been there before and it wasn't as clean this time. The mirrors and glass surfaces had been sprayed but not wiped. The breakfast wasn't as good as before. The 10%discount arrangement with The Crown Inn has now also been removed of which we weren't aware

Breakfast service could be more customer focused. Although we orderd the day before one person did not get all of what they requested. Since the main was brought we did not bother to request the porridge. Toast arrived when we were nearly done with our main. Food quality was average with only a small selection to choose from. .

Very friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere. The room was a good size and had all that you would need in a hotel room. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was spacious. We really enjoyed our stay at Kirkstyle!

We just arrived home from a 3 night stay at the kirkstyle hotel! We absolutely loved it! We were made to feel very welcome, and as a same sex couple, we have been to a lot of hotels which don't make us feel welcomed at all. This hotel and especially the staff are just amazing. We will definitely return! And the breakfast was freshly cooked, piping hot, and of beautiful quality! There's nothing I would change about it! FIVE GOLD STARS ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Comfortable room with all that was needed for my 2 day stay.

This was a perfect place to stop off on our way north! The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We made use of a meal discount offered at the local restaurant.

Really helpful service to drop our bags prior to our room being ready, but receiving our key and allowing us to go to our friend’s wedding. Good, easy service. Makkelijk te bereiken, parkeren voor de deur, ontbijt was te doen genoeg keuze.

Gevraagd om een kamer met uitkijk op de tuin, bij aankomst was alleen nog maar uitzicht op de straat, vroegen om 2 aparte bedden, moesten zelf aan de kant schuiven.

This a gorgeous little hotel. We were in room 1, it was spacious and with the lovely big windows it was so bright and airy! Everything was immaculate and had everything we needed. Check in was so easy and smooth. Cathy was lovely and couldn’t have been more helpful!

I booked an accessible room no rails in shower. Small space one side or bed and no staff on premises over night. No parking. Good job a friend came with me not my husband who the room was originally booked for.

Central location. The bed was very comfortable. Room was very clean, but basic, which is to be expected in a 3 star hotel. Staff were very kind and friendly. A very lovely little independent hotel that would be happy to stay in again as was clean & comfortable which is all that was required.

Excellent facilities and stocked fridge. Choice of cereals and juices as well as a smashing breakfast. Cathy, the Duty Manager was most welcoming and helpful.

The room was a decent size, on ground floor so good for elderly relatives. Staff were attentive and very nice people. Excellent breakfast. It absolutely suited our needs as a base for a short stay to attend a family wedding. The bed was massive, which was a definite bonus for two people who are finicky sleepers.

Very tired needs some TLC,

The bedroom chair was very stained, the bathroom was not very clean, and the mirror over the dressing table was of no use, I am 5’6” and when I sat on the chair at the dressing table all I could see in the mirror was the top of my head. Breakfast was not good at all, the toast was only toasted on one side. You had to tell them what you wanted for breakfast the day before and I still did not get what I ordered

I have stayed here several times, the room, service and location have always been the main criteria for returning back.

Parking car on main street pretty good considering how busy it is. Check in service excellent, room as expected. Lovely and spacious and heating can be controlled as it was too hot at first for us. Location to be able to walk around town is excellent for Biggar. And our favourite bit was the lovely breakfast served by the friendly faces of the Kirkstyle. A wonderful range of choice for the guests to choose from and the morning coffee was fantastic.

The rooms shower was poor, slow flow of water and the electric shower struggled. Pillows could do with an upgrade too.

In the centre of Biggar - within easy walking distance of everything! Very comfortable bed, making for a good night’s sleep. A very good breakfast with plenty of choice.

On checking in there was a poo in our toilet. Clearly the staff had not bothered to clean the bathroom between guests.

Room was not warm on arrival. Staff said the heating had come on shortly before. At this time of year with a forecast of snow it should be put on in plenty of time. The price was high for the facilities on offer. The check in process was rushed, and I had to make my breakfast choices there and then for the following day. However when it actually came to the breakfast next day my choices (porridge and scrambled eggs) arrived almost simultaneously at the table, which was annoying as I didn’t want either of them to get cold. On departure no one asked how my stay had been.

It is bed and breakfast so if you want evening meal You have to go to restaurants nearby.

We stayed in The Albion Suite which was perfect for my wife and I and our grown up daughter. We used the hotel as a stop over before continuing to Edinburgh for the Military Tattoo. It was perfect for this as the location is superb. The Full Scottish Breakfast was brilliant too and set us up perfectly for the day.

The staff were lovely, very friendly and welcoming. When we arrived we needed to grab some food and head into Edinburgh so the lady who runs the hotel recommended the Chinese takeaway and put some plates out for us in the dining room. (The takeaway was excellent, nicest tofu dish I've ever had from a takeaway.) The room was great, really big and well stocked with drinks and biscuits. Good breakfast buffet with cooked and continental options, plus top quality coffee. Biggar is a charming little town with lots of nice independent shops. I'd definitely return to Kirkstyle Hotel to explore the area more and to use as a base for going into Edinburgh.

There's no dedicated parking area but you can park on the road. Some spaces are limited to two hours, so the lady in the hotel advised us where to park.

Hotel was located right in the middle of the town which was perfect! No hotel parking but not a problem parking on the street! Staff were extremely pleasant and the rooms were clean and comfortable and a great size! Breakfast was good too.

Not sure about the room key situation. There was one key which fitted the main front door and your room. I might be wrong but we were a bit worried about all keys fitting all rooms if they all fitted the main front door!.
