Le petit déjeuner pourrait être un peu mieux - il est préparé le soir/ tôt le matin donc certains pains/ focaccias sont un peu dur. Le reste du petit déjeuner est très correct.

Reviewed Sep 14, 2026Privacy was a major issue for us during our stay, as there were simply too many people in one house. Unfortunately, the room was not very clean, and we found mold in the bathroom, which led us to leave the property early and find alternative accommodations. I don't want to sound unfair, as I honestly believe the house has a lot of potential. However, significant changes need to be made regarding cleanliness and capacity management. I hope this review is taken as constructive feedback so positive improvements can be made for future guests.

Reviewed Jul 7, 2026Paula is so great! Warmest, sweetest, kindest, coolest person one could possibly hope to meet. Her apartment is well appointed with mid-century furniture—so cute! The view from the balcony is incredible, and the location couldn’t be better. Grocery store below the house, parking a block away, and a few minute walk into the old town. My girlfriend and I git goosebumps and waxed emotional on our walk in the first evening at sunset. Breathtaking views the whole way in, and the walkway is right below the apartment. Bedroom was comfortable, shower hot, spacious, and plenty of pressure. Loved our stay. Would highly recommend 🍀😎🇮🇹🥰

Also we very much liked the sound system in the bathtub (we had the room with balcony and bathtub)! The level of detail is amazing in the flat and the view from the balcony just amazing!
Only thing that could be improved was the bed/mattress was already a bit "deep" and had recognizable flat-spots (holes) where most people lay (which is totally normal, don't get me wrong, however this is the only thing that could be improved in our room). Everything else was EXEPTIONAL!!

La camera doppia con balcone molto comoda, grande, ben suddivisa e arredata con gusto e tutto il necessario, super pulita come il resto della struttura. La signora Paola gentilissima e molto disponibile e professionale, è un piacere intrattenersi con lei ed essere suoi ospiti. Ci ha dato anche molti consigli utili. Struttura consigliatissima.
Niente, tutto è stato sopra le nostre aspettative.

Reviewed Jun 19, 2026Unglaublich sympathische Gastgeberin, tolles Zimmer mit beeindruckendem Ausblick. Sehr guter Ausgangspunkt, um die Stadt zu erkunden. Im 3. Stock ohne Lift. Das ist es wert. Frühstück im Selfservice ganz entspannt. Öffentlicher Parkplatz gratis gleich in der Nähe. Wir kommen wieder!!

We waren op de hoogte dat het 3 (hoge) trappen hoog was. Dat kan een probleem zijn voor ouderen. De kamers hebben geen view als omschreven, wel vanuit de gezamelijke ontbijt en leefkamer We hebben gemeld dat we tussen 4 en 5 in de namiddag aankwamen. Dat was blijkbaar niet specifiek genoeg, Paola wou niet staan wachten in de regen... die er trouwens niet kwam. Haar verwelkoming was uiterst vriendelijk. We kregen ook een uitgebreide uitleg hoe we zelf ons ontbijt moesten nemen en klaarzetten in de rommelige keuken samen met 3 andere koppels wat telkens chaotisch verliep. Toen wij en de andere koppels het appartement verlieten was er niemand om de resterende betalingen in ontvangst te nemen, het geld mocht op de kamer gelegd worden of afgegeven aan in de groentenwinkel beneden. Onze ervaring is dan ook dat de verhuring gebeurt met een minimum aan inspanning door de gastvrouw.

Die freundliche Vermieterin kommt nur täglich kurz vorbei um Kühlschrank für den nächsten Morgen zu füllen, Kontaktaufnahme nur über Handy. Die 3 Zimmer zur Straße sind sehr laut .

Petit déjeuner bof contrairement à ce qui était vendu dans les commentaires et malheureusement le lit n était vraiment pas confortable . Il n y avait pas de sommier mais une planche ce qui rend la literie vraiment inconfortable, j’ai malheureusement très mal dormi ce qui vaut sans doute moins de points parce que cela me semble la base dans un logement . Une cuisine qui aurait mérité un peu de rangement même si on n y reste pas vraiment …

Reviewed May 23, 2026Paola was erg vriendelijk en stond ons al op te wachten. Ze gaf veel nuttige informatie over de oude stad en had vooraf ook al diverse tips gegeven over o.a. het parkeren. Wij hebben een prima plek gevonden. Het verblijf is praktisch ingericht en op loopafstand van de oude stad. Het ontbijtbuffet voldoet prima. Wij waren erg content met dit verblijf.
Uiteraard zijn er gebruikssporen maar dat hoort bij een locatie die veel wordt geboekt. Wij gaan ervan uit dat 1 keer in de zoveel tijd de kwast er doorheen zal gaan. En ja het is derde etage en trappen, maar dat wisten we van te voren!

Reviewed May 23, 2026Super Lage, außerhalb der Sassi aber easy innerhalb von 10min (max.) zu Fuß zu erreichen. Parken ist auch super easy, entweder auf der Straße oder auf einem kostenfreien Parkplatz in der Nähe des Hauses. Paola war sehr zuvorkommend, immer gut zu erreichen und total herzlich. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Reviewed May 8, 2026Tout d'abord c'est Paola, notre hôte qui nous a le plus marqué. Accueil plus que charmant, chaleureux et sincère. Excellente communication, confiance et conseils . Une belle rencontre. Appartement confortable et bien aménagé. La chambre avec la terrasse (il n'y en a qu'une ) est super. Spacieuse, confortable et avec une vue sur Matera waouw en plus d'être parfaitement située pour aller découvrir les sassi avec parking gratuit à côté en plus.

Reviewed May 4, 2026Wat een super ontvangst gekregen. De eigenaresse is zeer vriendelijk en doet echt haar best om je zo comfortabel mogelijk te laten voelen. De kamer beviel ons zeer goed. Het was vrij comfortabel en er was voldoende ruimte. Het ontbijt werd door de eigenaresse geregeld en je mocht zelfs spullen uit de koelkast pakken. De koffie en/of thee mocht je ook helemaal zelfstandig zetten. Daarnaast was er een balkon beschikbaar, waar iedereen op mocht zitten. Je kreeg dan een prachtig uitzicht over Matera.
Het parkeren bij de locatie is niet even gemakkelijk.

Reviewed Apr 21, 2026Paola ist eine super herzliche Gastgeberin und die Kommunikation auf Englisch war zu jeder Zeit bestens. Ihre Infos zu Matera und guten Restaurants waren sehr hilfreich. Alles ist fußläufig erreichbar und unser Auto parkte kostenlos quasi vor der Haustür (wir hatten Glück). Das Frühstück ist ein Selfservice Buffet, was Paola am Nachmittag/Abend des Vortags frisch bestückt. Die Atmosphäre im Limen Guesthouse ist sehr persönlich.
Nichts. Man sollte wissen, dass das B&B in der 3. Etage ist und es mit schwerem Gepäck schon eine Herausforderung ist 💪

Reviewed Apr 19, 2026Es handelt sich um eine induviduell geschmackvoll eingerichtete Wohnung. Die Lage ist gut, man hat eine hervorragende Aussicht. Das Zentrum ist in wenigen Minuten zu erreichen.
Es müsste stärker darauf hingewiesen werden, dass sich die Wohnung in der 4 Etage befindet und kein Aufzug vorhanden ist.

Reviewed Apr 17, 2026Everything was superb. Paola is a very nice host, she has made sure we had everything we needed. We loved the view, the room and its amenities. Breakfast was delicious and very diverse! Super close to the city centre, beautiful view from the room :)

Reviewed Apr 13, 2026Paola is a very kind and helpfull host, but this needs to be said.
The apartment is located on the 3rd floor (no elevator), the apartment is quite small and contains 4 bedrooms. We were located in the smallest bedroom (the one with no name). The 3 other bedrooms which are bigger are named : Lentiges, Ferula and Tima. Our room had a very uncomfortable bed (= matress on a plank). The (once) white walls were full of black stripes, which gives a dirty and not well maintained athmosphere. The street noise is very loud (also during the night). Bring your earplugs. The shower is moulded. Price/quallity for this room is not ok.

Reviewed Apr 12, 2026Beautiful room with amazing views of the sassi. The location Is a few metres away from the Sassi Caveoso. The host was extremely helpful, explaining everything in detail. Breakfast is self service and you can help yourself to coffee all day.

Piękny pokój dobrze wyposażony- czajnik, lodówka, różne herbaty i ciasto dla gości dostępne w dowolnym momencie. Dobra lokalizacja, blisko do historycznego centrum. Śniadanie wyjątkowo nie było serwowane w obiekcie tylko w pobliskiej kawiarni, ponieważ Paola miała wizytę u lekarza, mieliśmy budżet 7€ na głowę.

Reviewed Jan 13, 2026La ubicación era excelente, muy cerca de los sassi y con unas vistas espectaculares desde nuestra habitación.Muy fácil aparcar en las inmediaciones, justo detrás del piso hay un amplio aparcamiento. El piso era muy acogedor y decorado con buen gusto.El desayuno estaba bien: café o té, zumos, repostería, yogur... Paola fue una anfitriona muy atenta, nos proporcionó buenas indicaciones para aparcar y movernos por Matera. Las pizzas en la pizzería Mavi estaban riquísimas..
No era fácil ajustar el agua caliente. Tardaba bastante rato en salir. Es la única pega, pero tampoco fue un problema, pues finalmente salía caliente. Los viajeros con dificultad de movilidad o con niños pequeños han de tener en cuenta que se trata de un tercero sin ascensor. A nosotros no nos supuso un problema

Reviewed Jan 11, 2026Paola è una vera padrona di casa di altri tempi. La posizione del b&b è ottima per raggiungere il centro soprattutto perché si trova facilmente parcheggio libero nelle vicinanze. Colazione tipica,in parte self service.. ottima
Alcune camere possono affacciare sulla sala comune e in caso di presenza di altri ospiti non è garantita l'insonorizzazione e la privacy del tutto..

Everything was well-organized and exactly as described, making our stay truly enjoyable. Paola was an exceptional host, incredibly kind, welcoming, and always willing to help. She made us feel at home from the very first moment.
