Hotel Rue

Hotel Rue is located in downtown Omagh with many restaurants and amenities within easy walking distance. One of the hotel breakfasts especially enjoyed was the poached egg, salmon and hollandaise sauce with brown bread which included a side of arugula and cherry tomatoes. Our fourth floor room was spacious, very clean and quiet. It was accessed easily by elevator. Hotel Rue is within a 15 minute drive of The Ulster American Folk Park which is well-worth the two hours (minimum) it takes to truly appreciate. (There is a lovely onsite cafe at the park to enjoy before or after your self-directed walking tour.)

Our multi-generational family members were completely satisfied with every aspect of our Hotel Rue stay.

The food in the restaurant is amazing! The rooms had AC, the staff was friendly.

The rooms are extremely dated. Also the facilties could use an update. I was stuck in the lift for 40 mins - not ideal.

Sehr schönes Hotel mit einer tollen, weitläufigen Anlage, die fast wie ein kleines Dorf wirkt. Es gibt einen Pub gegenüber und ein hervorragendes Restaurant direkt im Hotel. Das Essen war wirklich überragend – wir haben kein einziges Mal schlecht gegessen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Zimmer waren sauber, wurden täglich gereinigt und das Bett wurde jeden Tag gemacht. Insgesamt eine wirklich schöne Anlage mit viel Charme.

Das Hotel ist teilweise etwas in die Jahre gekommen. An den Fenstern und am Badewannenrand war leichter Schimmel zu sehen. Der Teppich im Zimmer hatte einige Flecken und könnte eine Reinigung vertragen. Ein Kühlschrank im Zimmer wäre ebenfalls schön gewesen. Ansonsten war das Zimmer sehr sauber und gepflegt.

I am so appreciative of the exceptional service from staff member Melissa. I accidentally left one of my 50th birthday gifts in our room when we left. I phoned the hotel after arriving home and Melissa was so kind and caring. She immediately located it at housekeeping (thank you also to housekeeping) and arranged delivery for me. I am so grateful. The hotel itself was wonderful. Beautiful rooms and superb food. Excellent location. Will definitely be returning again.

The double room was exceptional value but the family room to include just one child was a bit higher than we would normally like to pay. We will still definitely return though.

Great Location just steps from everything but tucked down an alley so it's quiet. Check in very easy & smooth. Loads of free parking. We had dinner & breakfast there and both were very good Staff are all friendly & accommodating We stayed in the small double room. It is quite small but ideal for a short stay.

A small thing but water in the room would be nice, especially in warm weather. However the barman gave us a jug of water to bring up.

A large pillar in the centre of the room was not a problem for me as a blind Customer, but could be an issue for other visually impaired guests.

1. Deluxe room was quite small and near entrance door which banged each time someone shut it so could not get to sleep till midnight 2. Food quality on evening very poor, grossly over priced but staff knocked off main meal cost as I did not eat it and were very apologetic and helpful Starter was ok and pudding good but main meal was a sag aloo that just didn’t taste fresh, flavourless and brown (doubt if there was fresh spinach in it and potatoes I suspect were several days old. The naan was tiny and basically not fully cooked dough 3. At breakfast asked if Americano which came with vegetarian breakfast made in same machine to espresso could be switched but told not without an extra charge despite fact it’s same amount of coffee with just less water !!! but they would not budge so left and had a lovely breakfast for far better price at a local cafe

A really nice modern hotel in a great central location with parking.

Despite signage it wasn’t that easy to locate.

Zag er allemaal prachtig uit, entree verrassend in binnenplaats en mooie, luxe uitziende kamers met heerlijke douche.

Er was geen stoel in de kamer, op bed zitten is niet fijn omdat het matras lekker is, maar wel zacht. En de muziek op de binnenplaats houdt niet op en is veel te luid. Een raampje open aan die kant is geen optie.

Ciara on Reception was very helpful as was the waitress for breakfast.

Finding my room (321) was a little confusing.

Perfect location, with free parking across the road making it an ideal place to stay. The rooms are pristine and newly decorated, with a rain shower, powerful hairdryer in the room and USB-C and A lamps. Wonderful.

Close to bus station and start line for the half marathon I did today

The manager said we had enough drink on use both had nothing traveling all day from clonakilty with trains and buses was told food served up to 8 in evening went down at 7/35 SAID WERE TOO LATE AS WE SHOULD BE DOWN EARLIER SAW HIM WAVE AT CHEF SO WE COULDN'T GET SOMETHING TO EAT AND IT'S A ROOM ABOVE THE PUB NOT IN THE TACHED COTTAGE AS SHOWN IN PICTURE IT MUST BE BECAUSE OF OUR SOUTHERN AXENT ROOM FINE BUT NEVER AGAIN WOULD I STAY THERE PURE IGNORANT AND LEFT US WAIT NEARLY HALF AN HOUR AT RECEPTION KNOWING WE WERE THERE AND HE WAS NOT BUSY 2 PEOLE IN BAR DRINKING SO NO EXCUSE

We liked the town view from the room itself and the heat was really good, The blackout curtains made the room so dark at night it was bliss and the complementary shampoo and hand-wash was lovely & smelt really good.

There were a few things we didn't like, unfortunately.. The fire alarm ended up going off in the middle of the night due to a fault or something and it had awoken me & my partner out of our sleep and there was no apology for this we were very worried incase there was a fire. The beds were far too firm and very uncomfortable we ended up having to use the blankets off the other beds for comfort I had awoken in the middle of the night with excruciating back pain with how firm the bed was just wasn't for me unfortunately. It was also very confusing as to why it was two single beds put together instead of a double bed anytime one of us had rolled over it was right onto the middle of where the two beds meet. Lastly, our room was not provided with water, and we had to come downstairs to pay for bottles at the bar, which was a bit annoying because why would there be drinking glasses but no bottles of water? We were not going to use the bathroom tap either....

Heater only worked when key in wall entered cold room everytime upon returning. But it was fine. Heated up pretty quickly.

When we bought a drink in a bar opposite the hotel which was actually part of the hotel, the barman refused to accept Scottish sterling stating it was house policy. We later used the same money without question in the main hotel. The following night the same barman stayed clear of us in the hotel bar where we were spending Scottish sterling. We could not find a manager to ask for an explanation. The hotel operated a table reservation on the Saturday night. We were never informed of this verbally or on their website.
