The staff were lovely and helpful, and the food was delicious. The size of the bedroom was good for a superior room, and the view was lovely.

The mattress needs updating as it was lumpy. Some of the lights didn't work. Although the shower was a good size, the bathroom was very pokey.

Handy location for an early morning business meeting

The hallway and stairs to the bedrooms were very dirty - floor/carpet. The bathroom shower had seen better days and even though I’m quite small, my elbows still hit the sides Breakfast was ok. In my experience though, there was not much choice.

I'm always a little surprised to pay what I call 'London prices' when not in London. £150 per room per night isn't cheap but the rest of the experience made up for it.

The noise. As two old people we found the noise in the bar in the evening loud to the point of deafening. A separate quiet room is definitely needed.

Location is excellent, close to town, shops, restaurants. Food is exceptional at The Queens. Clean comfortable rooms. Highly recommend to all. We had a family room which was perfect for 3 Ladies. We had a bed each.

The room we had didn't have a view (windows frosted out) - the bathroom must have had the kitchen below as we got lots of cooking smells coming through our bathroom window.

Location to lytham town centre

Breakfast was great. Staff were all very friendly.

Bed was too small. Bathroom door rattled continuously so had to keep it open. Room situation was close to rear entrance where we heard bottles and noise both late at night and early in the morning. Plug in the sink broke the morning we were leaving and sink unable to hold water. Staff informed of this.

Location is perfect , on the front and minutes walk to the centre of town.

The carpets , especially the stairway are really grubby . I appreciate this is a heavy duty area but it doesn't give a good impression to see things that dirty . Arrived back at hotel one evening just before 11pm. We wanted to take a drink up to our room but were told rather rudely the " the tills are off " rather disappointing, surely they could just have been added to the bill . The second morning my husband went down for breakfast alone . He ordered eggs benedict ( eggs were cold ) and asked for some toast & marmalade . He was told he couldn't have 2 things !! A bit petty considering I wasn't having breakfast at all .

The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The view from the king room is lovely. The breakfast which was included was very fresh and delicious. All in all the Hotel rooms are well kept and clean, a bit of luxury.

The bed could have been more comfortable but that's my personal preference.

Loved everything about the hotel - perfect location, lovely family room with comfy beds, bath, everything we needed including extras like toiletries, tea/coffee/hot choc & biscuits, fresh towels each day. Breakfast was delicious. We ate in the beer garden one afternoon and food was delicious then too. Staff really welcoming and helpful too. Couldn’t fault our stay at all, our 3 children didn’t want to leave, we will definitely be back! Thankyou so much!

The room was lovely we had a sea view and a balcony. The bed and pillows were were very good quality and comfortable. Breakfast was amazing. Fantastic location.

The piped music personally I don’t think it needs it there is a fantastic atmosphere and it’s lovely to hear people chatting which to be honest is difficult to do when the music is on. It’s such a lovely sociable venue and it spoils it.

The music in the busy restaurant was too loud. I asked to turn it down it was uncomfortable. I was ignored.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fabulous - cooked to order with a wide range of options to choose from. The hotel is in an excellent location facing the estuary but just one block away from the centre of Lytham, where there are lots of nice restaurants to choose from. Hotel's own restaurant was excellent. It was also very easy to park outside the hotel which was a pleasant surprise as it didn't have its own car park.

The room was a bit smaller than I was expecting with just a window in the corner. This window looked out onto the back of the kitchen which whilst we were there for the view meant that it was too noisy to have the window open at night. Some parts of the room hadn't been cleaned very well although the main areas and bathroom were fine.

Massive family room with comfortable beds and thoughtful extras, lovely staff, superb location and the breakfast was absolutely first-class. Unbeatable value for money and we will return!

Everything from the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the staff who took all our bags from us and had them placed in our room as we arrived well before check-in time.

There was absolutely nothing not to like.

Beautiful hotel & in the centre of town. Sea view, room had everything we needed iron + board & hair drier. Food delicious (breakfast) plenty to choose from on the menu.

We drink a lot of T so for us more T bags & milk - we could of just asked for more

Location a couple of minutes from sea front and shops. Well maintained inn with a lovely bar, great food and comfortable rooms.

Room was small as it was a single but nicely done out and very comfortable bed. Somewhat hot but a fab was provided in the room.

Loved it. Perfect location. Beautiful room with period furniture in the bedroom and an ultra modern bathroom. The TV was cleverly hidden inside a piece of furniture. Plenty of drawer space. Bottles of water and clean towels daily. Plenty of tea bags etc and biscuits. The jelly beans were a nice touch. The breakfast was excellent - just the right amount of buffet put out but then serviced hot breakfast too. The staff whether checking us in, behind the bar, at breakfast or at any time were so friendly and nothing seemed too much trouble. Reasonably priced parking directly opposite.

Beyond the hotel's remit was the fact we stayed during a heat wave, and even with a big fan the room was very hot. For the same reason some blinds would have been useful at breakfast as it was starting to get uncomfortable on the 2nd day with the sun on our heads/backs.

Great location on the sea front. Good vibe with music and great selection of beers on draught. Breakfast was included and was a brilliant selection again and tasty. Rooms were very soundproof.

The pillows were very uncomfortable. One wasn’t enough and two was too many. The room was very warm so we had to pop the fan on all night. Sounds from the corridor were very loud when someone was outside the room.

Difficult one to write, as the staff, setting and breakfast were all very good. Problem was the room. Cold tap ran very hot every time before cooling down, dangerous. Sink was blocked and filled up before slowly emptying. Door to bathroom was sticking on the floor, dangerous as you're walking in and out. No mat in the bath for showering or handle to use to get in and out of high sided bath. All of which must be known by the management. Reported to staff. Others had a constant terrible banging noise from a compressor or similar disturbing their sleep from the early hours. Must have been reported before? Such a shame as it's a great location and beautiful old building.

Very convenient for Lytham Town centre, shops and restaurants. Great atmosphere inside and outside on the patio in the great weather. Staff were helpful and the breakfast was out of this world, served by a member of staff. I have never seen so much food on one plate.

Very limited TV channels, only a handful of obscure channels. Although we were on the second floor we could hear a constant banging of bottles into a bin presumably in the area below and had to keep the window shut to minimise the noise.

Fabulous food, relaxed atmosphere and all round first class experience. We travelled over 100 miles for lunch based on a ‘must try recommendation’ and we were not disappointed. A spacious interior, comfortable place settings and relaxed ambiance. For context we booked a table for 1.30pm, but arrived half an hour early and were seated instantly. A quality menu range and we opted for ‘Beef Wellington’ - superb and Tandoori Chicken on Naan (special menu) - fabulous. Served in a timely fashion by attentive table staff. With a wine spritzer and coke, mains and coffee with service charge a touch over £60.00 so great value for a memorable lunch and dining experience. Looking forward to our return. Thank you to the staff both front and back of house.

It was an extremely hot night and the fan provided was efficient but noisy. Not a complaint- it was the hottest night for years!.

The hotel and bar is lovely and in a great position with a beautiful beer garden. Breakfast was excellent and plenty of it too. We had the small breakfast.

TV might be better on a different wall depending upon structure of course.

Only negative was asked for fried egg without garnish didn't arrive how I asked for it dont know if that's lack of communication between waiters and kitchen or how its put in on computer only a small problem but didn't have breakfast the last day wish it would have been perfect

The location was excellent. The hotel was lovely food lovely. Staff very friendly.

We were in room number 4. The window was frosted due to being by a fire escape. It felt a bit like a prison cell. No shelves in the bathroom to put your toiletries. Apart from that very nice stay.

I liked the location, friendly staff, the character of the Hotel, the food and cleanliness. The bed was very soft abd comfortable.

I can manage the stairs ok, but there's no lift for those of limited mobility.
