Everything was wonderful! Walk out the door - shops, restaurants and brief walk to Acropolis - totally awesome stay!
Great location
Great place, No elevator. No breakfast. But good location.
The rooms are clean and comfortable. If you’re expecting a huge hotel with lobby and exercise facilities this is not the hotel for you. The hotel is small 6 to 10 rooms. The staff is excellent. I suggest you book a room with the balcony. The area is perfect for first timers. Walking distance to museums and Acropolis. The area is safe with many choices for shopping and dining. The experience in Plaka for me and my wife was exceptionable. We enjoyed it and we will be doing it again.
Charming place, great location.
Internet was good.
This hotel is located on one of the very busiest and loudest streets in Plaka. There is no elevator. There is an outdoor cinema aross the street. Its nice to watch a free movie from the balcony - but the loud sondtrack is very annoying and doesnt stop until 11 PM. This would be a great budget hotel, but it charges 4 star prices. Not cool.
Staff was exceptional! Location is very good, but we were surprised that you could not drive up to the hotel, so lugging bags was not easy and getting a location for a pick up to the airport was stressful until the gentleman at the hotel did a wonderful job figuring it out for us. The neighborhood is lively ( also loud) so it can be noisy at night.
Staff excellent… so helpful with everything and room services daily. Room overlooking Akropolis so view was amazing!!! Breakfast was fantastic! Centrally located to EVERYTHING and easily walkable!!! Best restaurant in Athens right outside the door… Trattoria. I would definitely stay again!!!
Upon booking our stay, I had requested with Palladian Home that they would arrange for our transportation by taxi back to the Athens Int'l airport the morning of our departure at 6 am for a 9:20 am flight. Had I not asked the front desk clerk the afternoon before our checkout date to reconfirm our transportation, I would've never known about a taxi strike that was due to start the next morning at 6 am! The strike had been announced in the evening 2 days before which was the day we checked in. Had I not taken the initiative to reconfirm, it would've been a disaster! They were able to work it out and scrambled to book a taxi for us at 5 am the next morning before the official start of the strike at 6 am. I was thankful for that, however, I was completely appauled that no one with the hotel had bothered to alert us to the impending strike and it's impact to our airport return schedule ahead of time! That is unacceptable, and it would've led to us having to take the subway (entrance was many blocks away) and almost certainly would've caused us to miss our flight. It indicates that the staff at this hotel has no regard for and really doesn't care about their guests! I would've considered staying there again if I'm ever visiting Athens, because of it's excellent location, but not after that fiasco! Hotel desk staff gets a WORSE THAN POOR rating from me for this!
The staff was so helpful, friendly, and pleasant.
Great location, friendly staff and nice rooms
Excellent location and great decor and feel. Rooms were small but well set up and quiet for such a busy area. Bedding was not great. Mattress was mediocre. Foam pillows were too big and the sheets were rough - almost abrasive. Theses are easy things to fix and require for the price paid.
Great service from all the employees. Great location. Amazing breakfast and location. Will definitely come back and recommend.
The front staff were amazing..helped withbthe luggage, stored the luggage and i was vwry impressed they found us a ride and made sure we got into the right vehicle...kudos
Excellent location in Plaka! In the heart of shopping, bars and great restaurants. Beautiful views of the acropolis, especially at night. The included breakfast was amazing! Staff was very kind and accommodating.
Many great dining options just outside the front door. Great neighbourhood, can walk to the Acropolis, shopping. Nice staff.
The location of the Palladian is conveniently located to shopping, restaurants, and visiting the Acropolis. The room we had was spotless and very quiet. The staff were friendly and very helpful with luggage and early airport transfer.
Staff were very accommodating. I arrived early and my luggage was securely stored. I was assisted to find transport and was escorted to taxi area and helped with luggage. Views of the Acropolis and fantastic location. Oh and the breakfast was amazimg
Location and helpful staff
Loved this little hotel. We only stayed one nigjt but the staff were fantastic, the room was comfortable and right outside were restaurants and cafes. Wonderful stay
Room with a view on the Acropole, stunning especially at night! Comfortable bed and welcoming atmosphere.
Quadruple room was excellent for our little group. Very walkable. Breakfast at adjacent restaurant was excellent and convenient. Staff very nice & helpful.
This is an amazing property located in an amazing location! The immediate area is quaint and walkable with lots of food and shopping options. Safe after dark. Highly recommend. Probably made the difference in how we would rate/explain our Athens visit! To be in the middle of the Plaka neighborhood was a amazing!
We wanted to love this property but unfortunately it missed the mark due to the number of loud guests who staff did not quiet during late hours of the night. Do not choose the room with an adjoining room (2 bedrooms with city view), you will hear every thing because the room is next to the main entrance and as aforementioned, the incompetent staff does nothing to quiet the rowdy guests who enter the property during sleeping hours. I actually had to come out one night asking the other guests to keep it down while the front desk guy just sat there and said nothing. Ridiculous. Book elsewhere, you will thank me.
The area is fantastic. Very safe, and close to everything. The ac in our room was very nice. Able to cool off after a long day site seeing.
Close to acropolis and syntagma square
I really enjoyed my stay. My favorite part was sitting on the balcony in the evening. The room was comfortable and staff was friendly and welcoming.
Property was great. I have traveled to three spots in Athens to stay and this had the closest and best view. However, even though they said they have Free Wifi, it was 100% unusable. They claimed it was "old lines" and couldnt be fixed. less than 1MB download and 0 upload speeds which made it impossible for me to work without using my phones hotspot.
Rustic. Perfect location. Quiet and friendly. But watch out for the stairs! It is a 3 story circular stair- not possible for elderly or disabled
Best location for walking around shopping and nightlife - right next to acropolis
Very nice quaint hotel in a beautiful area! Staff was exceptional!
Amazing, absolutely loved! The supervisor was such a peach. He helped me when I had a last minute problem with my flight and really hooked me up. It was amazing. Gorgeous place, amazing staff. Helped me bring my extremely heavy luggage up 3 crazy flights of steps so I didn’t have to. Highly recommend.
Great location in Plaka neighborhood. View from balcony was awesome. Breakfast was wonderful at cafe across the street
Very nice stay at Palladian home. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Lots of steps up to our room, but it was very comfortable and clean. Nice location.
This property is fantastic!! It’s location is perfect!!!
Excellent hotel. Will stay here agin on next visit to Athens.
We had a fabulous stay. The staff were fantastic and helpful especially helping us with our lost luggage. We highly recommend this property. It is in a great location, with lots of shopping and restaurants around.
I recommended to go again there
This is a nice location and the service is super good . But be aware that there are not elevators, so if you are traveling with kids, it can be a problem. Otherwise, this is one of the best options to stay in Athens.
Great service and super clean. Amazing location !!
The hotel is in a nice area, walking distance to most of the highlights. The only issue is that the room is very small. It is just big enough to put a bed.
Beautiful old home turned into a hotel. Rooms a little small but everything else grest!
The staff at the reception was really friendly and supportive. The room was very clean, well-maintained and cozy. Loved the little yet antique communual tea room as well. Overall, I'd highly recommened the place! I will stay here again if I come back to Athens in future.
Location and authentic vibe unbeatable! Literally in the center of main attractions. A little smaller facility than I expected, but this lent to a home-like atmosphere. Rooms clean and spacious. Our balcony looked up the street right onto the Acropolis. Breakfast on the piazza was awesome.
Great location. Staff was very helpful.
Super convenient to dining and shopping; staff was very accommodating and helpful.
Centrally located so accessible to shopping, restaurants, and the sights. The hotel staff were extremely accommodating. The room had excellent air conditioning and all other amenities we needed. The included breakfast was delicious. Would stay again!
The hotel is in the perfect location and the room was very nice. The bed is also super comfortable. Amazing experience all around.
Amazing location and cute house style hotel. Comfortable and clean
Great location, as it is situated in the non-commercial districts and is just minutes away from major tourist sites. I would caution people with mobility issues as the hotel did not seem to have elevators, and if you are taking a taxi, the taxis are not able to park directly in front of the hotel due to pedestrian streets
Location location location
The room was like a basic 2 star hotel, not even close to what it was advertised as. There was even mold in the bathroom shower! In addition, one of the employees of the hotel looked through my suitcase and decided to steal a Ralph Lauren navy blue t-shirt. The t-shirt was in my suitcase when we arrived at the hotel but a day later when I wanted to wear it, it was gone. I brought this to management’s attention and he did nothing about it. Also, he has not replied to my emails inquiring about it. I want to be reimbursed for the cost of the t-shirt which was brand new and had never been worn. I noted while reading the reviews of this hotel that another customer had money stolen out of their safe when they inadvertently forget to lock it. They apparently employ thieves. I would stay somewhere else.
2 rooms but only one with air conditioning. Don’t get 1st floor room your balcony is at street level right across from a restaurant. Small bathrooms. Floors were painted and when you walk on pulls up paint.
The location was great!!
Really unique property and great location.
Youth hostel style. Poor service small room dirty shower. Stay away at any price
Great location, with friendly and helpful staff.
Personnel not once asked how was our stay. Acted like we were an inconvenience to them. Property pictures of room selected not accurately depicted. Would not recommend.
Cannot beat the location! Staff was very helpful and friendly.
The property is in a perfect location.
The stay was great, rooms were clean and served our purpose well. The staff was really great. My baggage was lost from the airlines and they made sure to hold it for us(once.dropped off) when we were out explorong Athens that day. Came back and it was waiting for me without question. When we left they arranged a car for pick up and walked our luggage over. The location is great, many restaurants and amenities/shopping. Easy walk to acropolis and museums. Bring good walking shoes. Below photo was taken about 10PM.
Just needed a place for a night and Palladian Home suited our needs. Communication from the property was excellent. Great location.
Location was perfect to see the acropolis and many walkable dining options. The staff was extremely helpful. We were notifed the day before we arrived that our scheduled ride to the airport was canceled due to a 48 hr taxi strike but when i called the hotel Nicolis was able to get us a ride. When we checked in and during the stay Costas was extremely helpful getting us a tour of the acropolis and making our stay very enjoyable. We would definetly go back.
The front desk staff was extremely personable and friendly. Helped with luggage, late check out, arranging transfer to airport and providing general information.
Great area, but they built a outdoor movie theater right across from hotel, films played loud from 9pm to 1am no sleep whatsoever even with ear plugs, we had balcony suite facing Acropolis nice view but theater ruined this, great staff walkable to everything, but if you want to sleep book room on other side of building, other guests said they didn’t hear theater from that side
This hotel is located right in the center of the Plaka neighborhood, where you can walk to all major attractions. The view of the acropolis is incredible from the balcony (highly recommend requesting this room). The area is bustling with people and there is an old movie theater on the roof nearby. The room has sound proof exterior doors so you cannot hear all of this activity once you close them. We would stay here again!
This place is in the middle of the Plaka, very convenient to shopping, restaurants, the Acropolis…and lots more. The staff was incredibly helpful with restaurant recommendations, getting cabs, really anything we needed. We had an excellent time here.
Very unique and quaint. Walk outside and there are 4 or 5 restaurants in the square. Street shopping for souvenirs and you arw able to walk to the acropolis and many other attractions.
The location is amazing and the hotel is beautiful
This hotel is in a fantastic location and the staff are very helpful but we were disappointed with our room on our second stay, it was in poor condition both the room and bathroom badly in need of some attention. The bed was comfortable.
Very kind and helpful reception. Much appreciated.
Very nice property and close to the acropolis! Warning though, it is right in the Plaka district (tourist area) and so if you want peace and quiet, this is not the best option.
We loved the charm of the hotel, our balcony overlooking the square. We ate dinner at an open air restaurant mere feet from the front door!! It was amazing!
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The location was perfect and everything was walkable. The hotel is beautiful and we loved the old charm. We will definitely stay here when we are back in Athens.
The room is pretty basic for the price
!
Over 200 years old but very comfortable with modern amenities. Staff very helpful arranging transportation. In the Plaka area full restaurants and a short walk to the Acropolis. We had little balconies.
The view from our room was amazing
Great private hotel in a very quiet, beautiful and convenient location! I would definitely recommend.
Beautiful hotel next to a bustling square of restaurants and cafes. The room was very nice with a balcony overlooking the square. The front desk provided google map lists of recommended restaurants, cafes, and bars which was a huge help.
Super location. Friendly staff. Good comfortable bed. Caution- this hotel has no elevator but staff will carry your bags to your room. You must manage your climbing the stairs to and from your room.
Very comfortable and exactly the simplicity I needed. Super happy with my stay. The only downside was noise, it can be quite loud at night with people coming in and out. My room (a standard with queen bed) was on the same level as the check in desk, so anytime any guests came in or out it woke me up, but it wasnt horrible since there are only a few rooms. Would def stay again since this was in the heart of plaka. It was so convenient to walk to the meet up locations of my activities. Bed was comfy!
Concierge staff were outstanding. Specially, Costas and Pantaleón were kind and helpful. The restaurant for breakfast were very kind and the food 10/10.
Great location and view
Awesome location, friendly staff, and really neat building!
Another fabulous stay in Greece! If you’re visiting the Plaka area of Athens, be sure to check out this hotel — it’s right in the heart of everything. We were able to walk everywhere, visiting all the major sights without ever needing a taxi. We loved strolling through the shops, enjoying the tavernas, and experiencing the lively nightlife. While we stayed in Plaka, we often found ourselves in Monastiraki as well, exploring its many shops and restaurants. There’s so much to see and do — plan a few days to truly take it all in. We can’t wait to return! Our room was amazing and had open rollout windows overlooking Plaka streets and Parthenon views were fantastic . Coffee you say?? You have a fully equipped kitchen with espresso maker and tea if that’s your thing.. I really felt like I was staying with family .. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
There was a hole on the door.
Awesome location! Old charming hotel with good sized rooms.
The location was amazing -- an amazing eating square was literally outside our door, and their were hundreds of cafes and little shops all around. Hadrian's gate is at the end of the street and old town is right there, too. The staff were also very kind (we came in super early and they stored our suitcases so we could do a tour before our room was ready), they arranged a car back to the airport for us, and had special Easter candles in our room. They were incredibly helpful and kind!!
It starts with the excellent location, yet goes well beyond at this must stay property. A landmark building with an exceptionally helpful, professional, and warm staff, topped off by what may be the best hotel breakfast in Athens.
Just stayed here for 5 nights. Our room was on the third floor - so if stairs aren't your thing - that would be something to ask about ahead of time! Staff was great, room was nice, it was nice having coffee/tea available in the kitchen. The guys working carried our bags for us (bless them!). Really easy location for Acropolis/Plaka/Acropolis museum. Lots of dining choices nearby. All in all a great stay. And our shower was very nice (hot water, great pressure!)
Location was central to Plaka district. Very walkable region. Staff were very helpful
Great location and friendly staff!
It was a very charming property, with a great old world feel. Our room and restroom were clean with nothing broken or dirty. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful when we asked for recommendations and a reservation for a taxi ride. The area is very walkable with most attractions being 5-10 minutes away and food options right outside the door. 10/10 definitely recommend staying here.
The staff was extremely helpful.
Great location! Everything is walkable from here. The hotel is great. Everyone was friendly. There is a hallway echo when people open and close the door, so that might wake someone up. Otherwise, it was a great stay. We would come back here.
Easy access to all the sites very friendly staff overall just a good stay
The Palladin Home was such a pleasant surprise! Located a short walk from the Acropolis and in a beautiful neighborhood. The staff was wonderful and so very helpful. More restaurants and shops than anyone could ask for. Will definitely stay there again when we visit Athens! I highly recommend!!!
Nice boutique style in great location. Could be better maintained. Friendly helpful ataff
