It’s so clean
Location is excellent being just next to the Mejiro station
All good, just someone smoked in room which make whole floor smelly ....... and staffs not pretty good to understand English, therefore even complained which useless
This property couldn’t be closer to the train station on the Yamanote line. It was immaculately clean, and the staff was helpful.
Was very lovely and in a fab location! So close to mejiro station that I could see the platform from my room.
Great location, right beside the station but super quiet. Comfortable beds/pillows, v clean, lovely staff, would definitely stay again. And coffee Starbucks in the lobby which was handy! Convenience store's & restaurants close by.
Long time customer. Love this hotel.
Very convenient for transportation
Fantastic stay because its just infront of Mejiro station, yet just 3 stops to shinjuku, 6 stops to shibuya. Love that its not a crowded station, so we are near the popular spots but still get to enjoy the peace & quiet when coming back to hotel after a long day. Highly recommended :)
Lovely hotel with wonderful staffs. They were extremely accommodating and helped us a lot during our stay. We look forward to returning to Mets Mejiro next time. Thank you so so much.
Good location beside train station with restaurants around.
Really clean and very close to the train station
The property was very clean. Great internet speed. The laundry worked great. It is connected to the train station so it was super easy to get around.
Amazing! Great location next to Mejiro Station
Overall are goods
hotel is just next to the station easy access to Shinjuku you can find cafes , convenience stores and mini markets nearby
Wish I could give 10 stars
While the daily rubbish collection, towel changing, and scheduled room cleaning were convenient, the hotel's two washers often proved insufficient, leading to long evening wait times. Guests might want to consider packing lightly or planning their laundry around peak usage hours. The hotel's proximity to the JR line and its quiet location were major advantages. A nearby food truck offered affordable dining options on weekdays, and the Starbucks just downstairs that provided a convenient spot for coffee. The hotel's daily provision of bottled water was a thoughtful touch.
Lovely and in a quite area so close to shibuya
Amazing staff and location. I highly recommend staying here. I stayed for nine days and every moment was great.
Amazing Hotel and staff. I can’t say enough good things. The location is the best because you are right above the train station. You can’t hear it. There’s no disturbance whatsoever. The benefit is you only have to walk 10 m to get into the station making this, hidden gem of a location in Tokyo. You’re very close to transferring to the major stations and can get anywhere quickly. And again the staff here is so lovely. Even without any Japanese language skills they’ve made my stay so great and treated me like family. Visiting from Detroit and I will definitely be back.
Clean and very friendly staff
This hotel is perfect. I can’t say enough great things about the staff. The location is amazing right above the train station. It’s so convenient because you only have to walk outside 10 m to get into the station which takes you directly to Shibuya and Shinjuku. You can get to Shibuya and Shinjuku so quickly because you are right at a direct line to there. This location is really fantastic and again the staff is so lovely. As an English only speaker they took great care of me. I stayed six nights as a tourist.
とてもよかったです。東京にくるときはこちらに泊まりたいと思います。ありがとうございました。
Great
Amazing staff!!! They were so helpful and nothing was a bother. My first time in Japan and as expected hospitality was too notch. Room was clean and happy with all amenities. Great value for price.
Lovely hotel right next to Mejiro station. Walkable to shopping, restaurants, and gardens. The hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood, and it is easy to get around via the metro.
When we visit Japan, we always stay at Mets Mejiro. Very convenient location to Mejiro station, drug stores, now they have an excellent Isetan food court within 3 minutes walk from hotel. Hotel employees are very friendly and professional. We will stay at Mets Mejiro again!!
great hotel
Arrived very early but able to leave bags for the day. One of the staff assisted me with setting up my travel sim as the english instructions weren't working and the japanese instructions looked different. She was extremely helpful and I was very grateful for the time she took to assist me. The room, while small, was laid out in such a manner that it didn't feel as small and was sufficiently comfortable for 3 adults with large suitcases. It was right next to the station making it very convenient for days out and plenty of food options nearby. We did not experience any noise concerns which is often a worry that close to a train line. We would book again.
Good
My secret go-to spot in Tokyo, Mejiro is a quiet oasis in the middle of Tokyo and I love being able to walk on to the Yamanote sen and be anywhere in seconds. The Mets is cheerful and user-friendly and we’ve always found the staff ready to help. Love it. We’re going to stay in the same hotel in Koenji later this week!
Excellent service
The train station nearby was so convenient.
1 minute to JR station. 3 convenience stores nearby. Starbucks is just downstairs. Will come again.
The location of the property was the best. Right next to a train station on the Yamanote Line made this so convenient. The hotel was comfortable and clean. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.
This hotel is one of Tokyo's best kept secrets. It is near the Yamamoto line which can take you anywhere in Tokyo or provide an Easy train change the staff is friendly and helpful to English speakers. The hotel has many amenities and the Starbucks next door is wonderful when you need a morning coffee to recover from jet lag.
一人でさっと泊まるのにピッタリでした。窓から富士山がくっきりと見えました。
Very clean and well maintained. Staff was excellent. Location was fantastic. Only problem was the bathtub didn’t drain.
Basic but comfortable and a clean modern room. Cannot expect loads of space in Japan. Connected to the station and convenient. Amenities can be picked up for free from the lobby is plus . Breakfast for 1200 yen seems over priced based on other options available nearby.
Perfect cleanliness and perfect location 👍 Wish they provide daily free bottles of water.
This hotel was clean, staff was very helpful and pleasant. Train station very close made it easy to get to different parts of Tokyo. Quiet neighborhood. Convenient stores close by with some dining options
Room is very clean, and easy access to JR Yamanote Line.
Right next to Mejiro Station(JR Yamanote). I believe this hotel just got renovated not long ago, they provided everything I need such as 24 hour front desk, baggage storage, room cleaning with new bottle of water, laundry&dryer machine, free ice machine, Keycard system in elevator for each floor, ect. Front desk was polite and helpful. Starbuck inside of hotel. close to Familymart, 7-11, and Trad shopping center. I like Mejiro neighborhood, not too crowded nor too quiet. There are many nice local and chain restaurants to eat, stores for cosmetic, skincare, and snack shopping with tax free. The only downside is toilet, which is really small and uncomfortable to use.
The hotel was very clean and the staff was friendly. I also loved the location of this hotel.
It s very conveniently located, 1 min walking distance from Meijiro station, which is only one stop away from Ikebukuro. Many food options all within 5 min walking distance. Good for those who wants a quiet and yet convenient place to access other parts of Tokyo
Very comfortable hotel, and convenient location, just next to the train station. The the train station can bring us to any major station in reasonable time.
Comfortable and clean. Lots of amenities available at the front check in counter for you to take to use. Right by the train station. Small but functional space
We had a pleasant stay. The staff were helpful, friendly, and courteous. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The hotel is right next to the JR station, literally a minute walk.
We could choore amenities based on our needs
JR hotel so you know it is right close to the railway line. The Yamanote line is very convenient for travelling around Tokyo. The room was above average size for the Tokyo area and all the amenities were clean and modern. Great value room. Basic shops and eating places within easy walking distances.
Highly recommend
Next to train station makes access very easy for travelers with large luggages.
Location and room condition were good. But, automated check-in system with only Japanese and unfriendly staffs were not good
Check in and check out were simple and the proximity to the station was good.
Have stayed here twice a year every year for a decade. The service by the staff is like a 5 star hotel. They are immaculate. So is the room. And the hotel is literally a 1 minute walk to the JR station. Wonderful.
Loved the location (especially in the winter) since it’s right next to the train stop. It’s also on the JR Yamanote Line so it’s easy to get around the hot tourist spots in Tokyo. I thought the breakfast was fine, husband loooved it. Everything feels pretty new and clean. The staff at the front desk and also in the restaurant were super friendly and spoke great English. Housekeeping accidentally dropped and broke my hairbrush in the bathroom and the staff went out of their way to replace it for me, and also left notes with apologies and explanations. That was super sweet and kind of them, and I truly appreciate this effort since it was probably my fault anyway. Thank you for a lovely stay!!! We would love to return when we are in Tokyo.
Staff were really friendly. room was spotlessly clean, but tiny and no room to unpack your bag or put any clothes anywhere. Location is great, right next to station. The coffee bags are awful and so is the breakfast. The breakfast has nice coffee, but no food for vegetarians or a western palate. The breakfast is aimed at locals not tourists. The area is quiet, not much around.
Very good location, staff are helpful, reasonable price!
Staffs at the front desk were very helpful and professional; Good breakfast and great location!
Right next to JR station. Friendly with good service of staffs. With Good restaurant and Breakfast is delicious.
Hotel is very convenient. JR Mejiro station is right next door. Great breakfast is included. Nice and clean room. Would definitely come back to this hotel again.
Just 30 sec walk to the hotel from JR station, across the street there is a supermarket in the B/F, and good restaurants upstair. Silent and clean district, good for girls travel alone. Breakfast buffet is included, many variety of drinks. Simple breakfast, eggs and breads, yogurt, I think it is good enough. Room is a bit bigger then others in Tokyo. I lived in AMP before.Plus it is Clean and tidy. There are plenty daily use items you can get them for free in the lobby, such as cleanser, bath salt, brush, moisturiser... Smoking rooms is not preferred cos the smell is very strong, so if you are a smokers, better choose a non smoking room and smoke outside the hotel.
The room size although scarily small, but is definitely well equipped with everything we need to feel comfortable. Especially like the toilet. The only down side is front desk staffs has really limited English communication skills.
Conveniently attached to small station that's not very busy. Quiet area near school, with just enough shops nearby for food.
Excellent location next to a train station, yet surprisingly quiet. Clean room, thoughtful staff.
Very convenient location. Clean and tidy rooms with a good breakfast spread. The daily housekeeping is efficient. Would recommend this to friends looking for a quite, economical place to stay close to the JR Yamanote line. The free bath amenities are a plus point. Air conditioning temperature was centrally controlled and this is the only area where I am deducting points. Would have like a more responsive air conditioner that is not centrally controlled.
Great hotel in a great location, small but quiet rooms, beds a little hard but still slept okay, good breakfast included, close to restaurants and trains, great location for exploring Tokyo.
The hotel is comfortable and clean. The location was convienient as well.
Excellent location. Wonderful wide range of bath salts.
Very good
Super convenient location!
This hotel is truly located in an absolutely PERFECT location. I say this as a person who has lived in Tokyo for half my life and just visited after 20 years. It's next to the Mejiro station off the Yamanote Line. Shinjuku is a 7 min ride, Shibuya is a 11 minute ride, Ikebukuro is a 2 min ride. Mainly for travellers from North America, please keep the following in mind: Tokyo is a densely populated city and as such most of the Japanese hotels are going to be small and not just small; very small. Same is true for this hotel. If you are used to the standard US brands where you have a good 300+ square feet of space and that is what you absolutely want, this hotel isn't for you then. Location wise: It is RIGHT NEXT to the train station. No stairs, etc. required. There's an elevator that takes you from the platform to the street level if you have bags and there's also an escalator. You walk out of the station, turn right and the next building is the hotel. If you travel with one or two suitcases then you know lugging that around can be a pain. This location takes that pain away. The rooms are tiny. The bed is between a US queen and US king and there is not much room to open your bags. If you are the kind who likes to travel as a couple and carry as much luggage as you possibly can, you will find the rooms tiny and will be disappointed. Famililes of 3 or more should get more than one room. If you are a vegetarian, I would skip the breakfast (book without breakfast) as almost everything has some sort of fish/animal extract. There's a WONDERFUL bakery right across and some restaurants you can use. There is a Family Mart convenience store that has all sorts of goodies. There is also a really good Japanese Curry restuarant called Coco Curry which is about a 5 minute walk from the hotel. If you've never tried Japanese curry, this is the place to try it.
Location to train excellent. Service excellent. Clean and comfortable. Affordability.
Terrific service. Terrific location, only 30 seconds from Mejiro JR Station.
It was a decent hotel overall. It was close to the JR train station (if you want to take the other lines you would need to go Ikebukuro which is a 15 minute walk). Room was clean and small and hotel staff was friendly.
Hotel Mets in Mejiro is a place I actually come back and stay. It’s affordable and quiet and the location is central enough to get places quickly and quiet enough to not be a confusing train station. The staff is friendly, the rooms have always been clean and some of the larger rooms I’ve seen in Japan.
I will definitely come back to this hotel! Great location and price.
Excellent location - right next to JR station. Nice & clean room. Breakfast was nice as well.
Hotel is very convenient. It is directly next to Mejiro station. Few stops away from Shinjuku and Ikebukuro. Hotel is new and bed is very comfortable. I have daily buffet, breakfast is quite standard and same throughout my 3 nights.
This hotel is right on top if the JR Station and within a quiet and cosy community, surrounded by greens, universities and schools. Isetan Queen, Family Mart and many shops r just a stome throw away. Very reasonable hotel price with excellent location
- Very close to Mejiro station. Just turn left and you will find the hotel. - Good facility, the room is bigger than most of Japanese hotel. - Delicious breakfast. - Definitely recommend!
My wife found this, close to central train line, quiet, friendly staff; perfect. Nice breakfast, mix of western and Japanese, go with it. Your in japan the room size is standard, but why stay in the room? If you want a refuge steps away from a station that can get you there, stay here.
If you don’t want to stay in the mix but want to get get there quickly this is the place for you. Great location next to the Mejiro Station along the Yamanote line. And I mean right next to. Just south of Ikebukuro and a few stops north of Shinjuku so easy access to the major tourist spots. Friendly staff. Typically small Japanese hotel room with mini fridge, fancy toilet, deep tub, and plentiful hot water. Our room overlooked the train tracks and we barely heard a rumble. Amenities bar in lobby with toiletries including 9 different bath salts. Quiet neighborhood next to a university. Not many touristy thing to do but plenty of local restaurants, small shops, and convenience stores within a few blocks. The front desk has a map of the area in English. Our room came with a breakfast buffet in the hotel restaurant. They served a Japanese breakfast with rice, miso, fish, salads, and pickled veggies along with Western offerings of scrambled eggs, toast, cereal, yogurt, fruit, and pastries. Drinks included juice, coffee and tea (both hot and cold). Overall we loved the sense of calm in a quiet neighborhood where we felt a part of Japan and could recharge before heading out to the hustle and bustle of the higher traffic areas of Tokyo.
it was very pleasant stay. Although the hotel was located next to a JR station with frequent trains, it was quiet at night.
It was amazing.
Close to JR line. Quite residential area. Visited local stores.
Wonderful hotel! Has great location as just round the corner of train station - do not have far to walk after a long day. Hotel have a coin laundry facility including a dryer which you can do your washing. This is great! Great breakfast too!! Would definitely come back to this hotel again : ). Enjoy!
Hotel was conveniently located adjacent the train station on the Yamanote line between Ikebukuro and Shinjuku which made commuting so easy. Hotels nterior and exterior appeared clean and newly refurbished or renovated. Ammenities were wonderful (a/c, bidet toilet, flat screen tv, refrig, etc). Our booking included breakfast which worked out just fine. Employees throughout the hotel were very nice, professional, and helpful.
excellent place and beautiful neighborhood
Great hotel, larger than most double occupancy rooms I've stayed at in Japan. Right next to the train station and plenty of food options in the area.
I’m writing this review on our last night of 8 here. My first time here but my husband has stayed once before. We came to this hotel as we hire a car and getting a hotel with parking near Tokyo is very hard, but we also use the train a lot and this is also perfect for that - literally a 30 second walk from the station. Previously my husband has stayed here in a twin room which he says was not a bad size, this time we have a double room and it is very small - the smallest I have stayed in while in Japan, the double bed is up to the wall on one side so you have to get in bed from the bottom or crawl over your partner if they’re already in bed, there’s some hanging space but no draws so unpacking is difficult (I didn’t completely unpack, just got stuff out as needed) there’s not really even anywhere to put your case but we found a nook at the end of the desk to put one of the cases. As the days have gone by we have got used to our little room, we would return to this hotel but would choose to pay extra for a bigger room if that’s an option. Breakfast is ok, unfortunately I’m not a very adventurous eater so it was toast every day for me but if you like Japanese breakfast then I’m sure you’ll have a daily feast! There is scrambled egg but I got to the point by the 3rd day where I couldn’t eat it again - luckily I had bought peanut butter with me but there is jam available. Back to the room... bathroom is small but it doesn’t need to be big, toilet, bath and shower- all toiletries supplied, lovely smelling body wash, shampoo and conditioner, also in the bathroom basket are razors, Alice band, earbuds, cotton pads, toothbrush’s, bath salts and combs so if you forget anything you’re covered! And there’s a hair dryer. There’s a kettle and cups in the room, you can help yourself to delicious coffee in reception but there’s no tea bags. There’s a fridge in the room and a family mart right over the road so you can get milk and water. I would say this is mainly a business hotel but it was perfect for us as tourist. We will stay here again and I would recommend it.
Nice buffet breakfast. Fabulous location at JR subway Mejiro station. Wi-fi can be wonky at times.
Hotel close to train station, restaurant, and shopping but room is small and bed is hard.
Great - nice and close to station but no noise at night
Hotel Mets Mejiro is in a super convenient location, just steps away from the Mejiro Station exit (JR Yamanote Loop) and a few stations away from Shinjuku, Shibuya, Harajuku and Ikebukuro. Another plus is that it is in a quiet district, away from the madness of the busier stations. There are nearby 7/11s, Family Mart, and Natural Lawsons. The room was a bit dated and small for 2 people, plus 2 rolling carryons. But toilet seats were heated and i loved the bidet! 😊 Breakfast is included in the rate, but menu did not change the 3 nights we were there. I would stay there again.
I had very very good experience staying here for 3 nights. Location is the best. Quiet and convenient. Will defenitely stay here again next trip.
Good location, clean room. The bed is hard, breakfast can be better.
A City traveler, based in BKK Thailand. Passionate in modern architecture things. Cafe seeker. Matcha fan and love spring weather.
The hotel is located next to JR Mejiro Station, which is on the Yamanote Line, so it's very convenient. Walking to Ikebukuro or Takadanobaba takes about 15-20 minutes, which allows more transport options. Free breakfast is good for us to start our day. Room is typical Japanese business hotels, but not the smallest we've been to so it's good. Has enough amenities and the washlet toilet.
