Dinner closes at 10pm. Last order is at 9.30. There are no places outside where you can get food post 11pm. The property can have a basic menu available during late nights for snacking

Swimming pool and the location was good

I have booked the room for 2 adults and 2 kids which is a deluxe room for 5900 rupees. When I check in, staff showed a single room and informed that this will not be comfortable.. you can pay additional 500 rs for a another room which is spacious and looks like a deluxe room.. it's clearly a motivation to get extra money.. this was totally unacceptable from the hotel

the environment was cozy and close to nature, full of greenery, closely located to the main sights of mahabalipuram, The staff were helpful..,

The bed was very uncomfortable to sleep in, not enough toiletries, no liquid handwash, property was dated and outdoor area including balcony chairs were not at all clean, it could have been maintained more nicely, we ordered soup in dinner which was very less in quantity and not made properly, no salt and pepper provided in the room service, intercom was not working, didn't get any hot water in bathroom, there was no elevator in the hotel and showing that reason reception staff was trying to convince to take more pricey rooms downstairs which was not very professional

Convenient location. Large room with balcony. Pleasant pool with plenty of shade. Friendly staff.

Hotel was a bit run down and could use some maintenance.

Would highly recommend Mahabs. We booked a family suite. Rooms were large and comfortable at reasonable cost. They have onsite parking. Food was tasty. Swimming pool is nice. Above all is their location. You can cover all the monuments and beach by walk.

During rain the common area became a bit muddy.

It was a very bad experience. Qe had two rooms. In one the bathroom clogged. There was no shower. The bed linens were dirty and toen. There were cockroaches in the room. The other room had broken shower. The TV had no English or Himdi channels. The breakfast ran out the next day. It is not worth paying anything for.

I had very bad experience with Booking.com I had paid Rs3360 thru gpay and booking was unsuccessful by them it was onthe July 30th now we are on the 16th August till now I have not got the refund pl be careful with Booking.com

Perfect location. An oasis of calm in the city centre. Big nice rooms. Gorgeous garden and pool.

Le personnel est prévenant et efficace. L'emplacement permet de voir beaucoup de choses en se déplaçant à pied. La piscine est propre et grande. Le jardin est très agréable.

L'hôtel était en travaux pendant notre séjour si bien que c'était plutôt bruyant.

Super mooie locatie, midden in Mahabalipuram. Tempels op 200 meter lopen vanuit het hotel. Mooi zwembad on in af te koelen en mooie ruime kamers. Eten was ook goed. Aardige jongen in de bediening.

Er werd gewerkt, waardoor er veel lawaai was. Ons was verteld dat dit tussen 9 en 18 uur zou zijn maar helaas om half zeven in de ochtend al gewerkt door het boren.

Restaurant gave some decent food.

Staff should be professional and courteous. They totally lack this. Cleanliness of the rooms, Providing bath towels, toiletries etc are basic things. They need to be schooled for this.

I loved the beautiful, clean and large pool with the trunk and branches of a tree hanging over it. The Shore Temple and the beach were just a short walk from the hotel. The staff was always cordial and helpful. It was very kind of them to offer me an upgrade on their own to a quieter and more beautiful room on the second day of my two-day stay at the wonderfully green Hotel Mahabs. I loved the quaint old furniture and the paintings of chrysanthemums.

Es ist wunderbar im Pool unter den grossen tropischen Bäumen zu schwimmen. Überhaupt sehr schöne Atmosphäre. Sehr freundliches, hilfsbereites Personal! Saubere Zimmer.

the room size was good; in the family room (2 bed, 2 bath) one ac worked eratically. beds were comfortable; location of the property was good very close to Shore Temple, bus stand, shopping, food options and the sights

the property was very run down; fear of tripping on the uneven surface is real; no lift facility; family room could only be accessed via spiral staircase which wasnt suitable for senior citizens. this is not disclosed in the listing. they called 20 minutes before we arrived to ask if senior citizens were travelling. since we were travelling with senior citizens we had called the hotel directly 2 days before and the lady confirmed that ground level room was available. When we reached the property she absolutely denied having the conversation; even tho we showed proof of 5 calls having been made, they said a very bland sorry. we were allocated a 1st floor family room through an uneven metal staircase and my 85 year old mother had to climb up and down several times. they had allocated all ground floor rooms to others before we arrived. Bfast price on booking.com was Rs. 350; but they charged Rs. 400. It was listed as pet friendly property, but they didnt mention that they will charge Rs. 500 per day. Pool had too much chlorine which irritated the eyes. the pool changing room was horrible. Wifi never worked. Telco network was bad inside the room

It was a good stay overall. Really nice rooms and clean.

only issues with walking out of the hotel, and a lot of mosquitoes. Also hotel room was not supplied with water, shower gel or soap, towels, tea or coffee until requested. Had issues with getting drinking water. Hope this is something they work on for future travellers. Rooms should be at least cleaned everyday too.

Property is not well maintained. Everything leaks in the bathroom including WC . Towels, bed sheets everything is dirty. Pool looks clean but looking over all maintenance you don’t wNt to risk getting into the pool. Will not stay there again

Pool was deep but small in size, but still enjoyable, can give a plunge. Room was very spacious and bathroom was very huge too, water pressure and fittings were all decent. The AC was working, but for the size of the room , the cool air circulation needed with an dditional fan. Also we had given room only in the top floor, despite asking them multiple times to give in lower floors. No Lift is a big minus, but we managed. Restaurant is there inside, but we did not give a try. Location is in the center of the town, hence food, essentials are available very easily. Right opposite the Hindu Temple, should not miss visiting the same, as the God is very unique here

staff could welcome guests in a better way than giving them a kind of treatment if booked from booking.com, which was unexpected for me. If so, they should not have listed their property in booking.com

Comfort to stay with family in greenary place. Ambiance are very nice. Neat maintenance and polite staff. Restaurant foods are awesome.

The letters are so dull in name board, so just change those in both entrance.

This hotel was an oasis of mature green trees and a beautifully clean swimming pool in the central courtyard. We were on floor 3 and at the top end in a deluxe room. Very good shower and hot water . We got fresh breezes on our balcony and it was a quiet room. Mosquitos very few on the higher floor. The staff were very caring and the housekeeping supervisor Shanmugan and in the restaurant Arjun were outstanding in customer care. The kitchen had really good cooks and we enjoyed every meal. The reception staff were very good and arranged the hotel taxi to take us to Chennai airport.

I really didn’t like leaving the hotel as it was so restful and there were no pavements as such to walk with ease . Always to be aware of traffic.

Hotel infrastructure and maintenance

No hot water, No details or hotel landline to intercom to get assistance (landline available but not working) No spa services. ( Wasted 2 hours waiting for the person to come for massage and finally we didn't get any service) Hotel kitchen uses old deformed tawa for dosa(non stick tawa not recommended to use for long time after coating wear off). Hotel staff were not making real efforts to meet our requirements. Hotel staff said Photos shown in booking.com were random and not accurate. It was the hotel standard.

The pool was nice and refreshing in the exhaustingly hot weather. There is good working AC that is life saving. Staff was also nice and helpful

Rooms were not cleaned properly before arrival. For the Wi-Fi you get a card with username+password but is only valid for 24h and we were not told that beforehand. The sink in the bathroom was leaking and the drains would overflow when showering making it a sail challenge. Tried to tell the staff but they couldn't understand, only cleaned

Das Hotel besitzt eine großartige Lage. Aufgrund seiner dezenten baulichen Gestaltung und auch der unmittelbar umgebenden, von Blumen bis Bäumen reichenden Vegetation, fügt sich die Anlage in harmonischer Weise in die umbaute Umgebung ein. Der Pool im Zentrum krönt diese Anlage. Sehr angenehm war unser sehr geräumiges Zimmer, von dessen erhöht liegender Terrasse wir einen wunderschönen Blick auf dieses Ensemble hatten. Es war ein Genuss hier zu sitzen und auch die vielen Vögel zwitschern zu hören. as Hotel besitzt eine großartige Lage. Aufgrund seiner sehr dezenten stilitischen und Gestaltung außerhalb

Etwas getrübt wurde unser Eindruck leider an einem Wochenende. Hier entwickelte sich im Pool ein lautstarkes Szenario durch die hier eingetroffenen Massen an entfesselten Besuchern. Nicht wenige von diesen Personen trugen ihre Tages-Kleidung. Pool-Aufsicht ist hier dringend geboten.

J'ai adoré le personnel, en particulier Arjun, un jeune serveur d'une grande efficacité. Le restaurant est doté d'un excellent cuisinier (ses crevettes à l'ail étaient parfaites). La chambre était meublée à l'ancienne. Et la piscine est entourée d'arbres. Que du bonheur.

Personnel très accueillant , surtout au restaurant . Piscine très propre , chambre spacieuse et propre , bonne douche . À proximité de tout les ponts d’intérêts !

Super rapport qualité prix, chambre propre et confortable avec balcon, vue sur la piscine et la végétation. Accueil très sympathique. La piscine et la végétation ! Emplacement idéal pour accéder aux attractions touristiques. Possibilité de réserver une navette pour l'aéroport.

Il n'y avait pas de serviettes dans les chambres. Néanmoins, en demandant à l'accueil, nous avons eu aussi des serviettes pour la piscine. La piscine mériterait un peu plus d'entretien. Notre chambre donnait sur la rue et était très mal isolée. Le restaurant n'est ni excellent ni mauvais, mais le service est extrêmement long.. une heure d'attente pour un jus de fruit...

Le cadre de l hôtel est très agréable, un beau jardin une belle piscine. La chambre est spacieuse avec un balcon. Le petit déjeuner bon et copieux. Le personnel est très sympa.

Es como un oasis en medio del caos de la ciudad con su piscina y zonas verdes

Que los alrededores de la piscina estaban muy descuidados pero vimos que estaban trabajando en arreglarlos. También había algo de basura debajo de las escaleras
