Reviewed Aug 12, 2026The breakfast was amazing. The room and overall environment exceptional. The service was also great all communication was sent timeously. They also made an exception for an early check-in at 12 noon though their check-in was at 2 pm
The fact that at some point there was no water in the toilet so we wore not able to flush. I went and complained at reception the lady explained they having a water issue but they will turn on the Jojo Tank for us which they did.

Some of the detail in rooms/bathroom/showers do need attention. (Maintenance hand and eye) probably. Aircon system is noisy and maybe cleaning the grids.

Reviewed Jul 13, 2026Friendly staff at breakfast and dinner. Loved the room service. Appreciated all the Springbokkies visiting and wandering around. Spending time in the room adds to the breakaway.
We were expecting underfloor heating as advertised and requested and disappointed to hear it's no longer available. A little bench to put your suitcase on for unpacking will round it off nicely.

Instructions re finding the hotel could have been better and perhaps should say that it is located in an Estate. The decor is dark and gloomy...all dark greys and brown ... not my style. The shower in our room was small and the drain was a deep hole making it difficult to feel balanced.

Reviewed Jun 22, 2026There was a lady that helped me with my coffee and despite the other lady that gave a bad review about waiting so long for her coffee and actually thought she was very nice to assist me with the coffee because one can see the machine says it needs cleaning. I just want to let that lady know that she was great and all staff at Trendenham boutique hotel for the personal touch they out to hospitality. I am not an expert but I have slept at a lot of places that doesnt come close to what you offered at trendenham remember just to not as I think the lady afterwards thought it was me that wrote the review as she became a bit cold towards me. People will be people just dont lose your humanity and kindness. Not body has the power to steal that from you. Excellent thanks.

There was not heating beyond the aircon. Bloemfontein gets very cold in winter, I was in the presidential suite which is quite a large room and without even electric blankets, this can get uncomfortable.

Reviewed Jun 8, 2026Set in a secure estate with lovely big rooms and fantastic staff. The meals in the restaurant were delicious. We only stayed for the one night as a stopover on our way to Cape Town. We had a very enjoyable experience, can’t fault anything at all. Would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it.

We phoned and the reception told us that they got the items and will keep it safe for us to collect with our next stay. When we arrived no-one knew of any arrangement and could not locate the items.

WC was not clean but they cleaned it after but if you are receiving a new guest this is something for sure that should be spik and span. Also it is quite remote from center.
