Accommodation fantastic. Location great. Staff very helpful. We booked this for a 25th wedding anniversary. The night before, we stopped in a very unique accommodation at twice the price. Hendrick's couldn't compete with the uniqueness but everything else 100% winners.

Spacious, beautifully decorated room. Large bathroom. Huge windows with a beautiful view. The staff were extremely helpful and kind. Perfect location within walking distance to everything but quiet at night. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to return.

There are stairs to reach the lobby entrance (not many) but we had large suitcases from our month long stay in Europe and it was hard to bring them up those stairs (I was travelling with a child). On the way home we did reserve the hotel’s taxi service and they were great, they came to the lobby and took our suitcases to the car.

Absolutely brilliant property! Located very close to the centre. So calm and serene midst of the hustle bustle of the city. Will highly recommend !

The location, the bathroom, the reception design

Air conditioning was not cooling enough, you have to go through the stairs to get into the hotel and it’s inconvenient with luggage.

Ett litet boutique hotel med 26 rum, vänlig personal och bra läge i Amsterdam. Vi hade rum 26 men när vi bokade var bilderna på rum 25 som har utsikt mot vattnet. Rummet nås via hiss och slutligen via trappor (vån 4). Ett mysigt vindsrum. Hade egentligen sett fram emot rum 25 som har utsikt mot vattnet men detta var helt OK. OBS välj inte dessa rum om Ni är 180cm eller längre då rummet har synliga takbjälkar. :) Frukosten är både buffé och rätter för beställning. Väldigt trevligt!

Bilderna på det rum jag beställde var troligen från rum 25 och inte 26, utsikten var inte över vattnet men trevligt över takåsarna istället. Kanske tänka på vilka bilder som visas. Om man har stora väskor eller problem med trappor så är rummen på våning 4 inte optimala.

Rustig en kleinschalig hotel, ideaal gelegen om de binnenstad te verkennen en op wandelafstand van het centraal station en Oosterdok Parking. De ontvangst is vriendelijk en hartelijk. Naast het ontbijtbuffet kan je elke morgen kiezen uit meerdere gerechten die à la minute voor je worden klaargemaakt, van omelet over een broodje zalm tot american pancakes. Prijs/kwaliteit verhouding was voor ons voortreffelijk.

De ontbijtruimte is wat klein, waardoor er gevraagd wordt om in shiften te eten. Lijkt bij de vraagstelling wat bizar, maar eigenlijk is er steeds voldoende plaats.

L hôtel est très bien situé. Proche de tout mais au calme. La chambre est très spacieuse, magnifiquement décorée et très confortable. Le personnel est vraiment très sympathique. Nous y avons passé un excellent séjour et nous recommandons vivement l établissement.

Perfect location on river and canals near Amsterdam Centraal station for local and international connections. Excellent restaurants and bars nearby. Lovely spacious room and lounge with breakfast and drinks served. Staff very responsive and friendly in this family run boutique hotel. I would certainly recommend them highly and will aim to return soon.

Very well located, about 10 minute walk from the train station. The room is spacious and cosy. The reakfast was simple but good. The complementary drink on arrival is a nice touch. The staff is helpful and welcoming.

The AC can be noisy at times, but not unbearable.

Location was an easy walk from train station and easy walk to all the sights. Beautiful building which had been tastefully but modernly updated. Staff were helpful and offered us a complimentary drink upon arrival. Our room was spacious, spotless with a very comfortable bed and a lovely bathroom. We will definitely return if we are visiting Amsterdam again.

I genuinely loved everything about this hotel. It was a short bus ride or walk from Centraal Station, as well as a quick walk throughout Centrum. Every member of the staff was friendly, helpful, and easy to talk with. The breakfast buffet was absolutely worth the extra money, offering fresh fruits, pastries, meats, and a kitchen that made such delicious Poffertjes (Dutch mini pancakes) that I ordered them everyday. My room was one of the best I have stayed in - massive, with a King bed, high ceilings, large bathroom, and a stunning view of the water. The lobby was charming, and served as a great spot during breakfast, but also to relax in the afternoons, and I even grabbed Surinamese takeout and had it there with the staff offering plates and utensils.

Nothing, this was the best hotel stay I have ever had. I stayed at other hotels during my trip including in Tallinn and another in Amsterdam on my layover before returning home. My stay at the Leonardo was so bad I considered travelling back to the Hedrick's to tell the staff how much better it is.

Good location, but plan on about a 15-minute walk from the central train station—everything looks closer on the map than it is in reality. The reception area is relatively small, and guests have breakfast in the same space where people check in. This is most likely because the building is old, special, and protected (historic). We stayed in a Superior Double room. The rooms are truly an experience: large windows, high ceilings, and very nice design, including the bathroom. The view from the windows is better than you would expect when you first enter the hotel. Breakfast is perfectly fine, though you might expect a wider selection at a 4-star hotel. The air conditioning worked perfectly—quiet and kept the temperature just right, which was especially nice when it was 90°F (32°C) outside. The receptionists were very sweet and knowledgeable, and the service was excellent throughout.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would happily rate it 5/5. I stayed for one night in a Premium Twin Room, and it exceeded my expectations. The room was spacious, beautifully maintained, and spotlessly clean. The bathroom was immaculate, and the shower was excellent. The location is another major advantage—it’s only about a 13-minute walk from Amsterdam Central Station, making it very convenient for exploring the city. Breakfast was very enjoyable. The hotel offers an à la carte menu where you can choose your main course, along with a small buffet that provides a nice selection of additional items. It was a great way to start the day. As a thoughtful welcome gesture, the hotel also provided two complimentary drink vouchers, which was a lovely touch and made us feel appreciated. What truly made the stay special, however, was the exceptional hospitality. Being a boutique hotel, the service feels very personal, and every member of the staff was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. I would especially like to thank the two wonderful ladies at reception who checked me in. Their kindness, professionalism, and warm welcome set the tone for a fantastic stay. Everything was perfect from start to finish. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Amsterdam.

This boutique hotel has air conditioning! Much needed during the heat wave when I was there. Location - a 10 min walk to the train station, De Wallen (red light district) and restaurants. However, note that it's about 30 min walk to the museums and Anne Frank House. Room - tastefully decorated with high ceilings. We had the ground floor facing the street but windows are soundproof so didn't hear the outside noise. The noise we did hear while sleeping was doors closing and people walking above us. Service - amazing. Kelly helped with our large suitcases up/down the steps to the front door upon arrival and departure, also recommended a great Chinese restaurant, and gave us the tip when taking the train to the airport that if we were paying by credit card, to remember to check out at a yellow machine at the airport. We wouldn't have known otherwise! Also, thanks to Renato who made a great complimentary welcome drink (I chose Hendrick's gin and tonic) with such detail and we had a great conversation in the meantime. Even our room cleaner, Obi, was great. She folded our PJs and placed them in the wardrobe closet. :) We enjoyed our stay at this boutique hotel.

Quaint quiet hotel with a lovely vibe in a very good location. Was greeted very warmly upon our arrival & as we flew in early morning our room was made available for which we were very thankful. Our room (22) was very nice with a view overlooking the canal, we didn’t require housekeeping every day but everything was well stocked and clean. We ate breakfast here which is a buffet style and consisted of a cooked breakfast with lots of pastries, fruits and drinks to choose from. The service we received from the front desk to the housekeeping was friendly and helpful.

Lovely decor, really large comfortable rooms, we were at the front of the building and had a fabulous view of the river and science museum building. All the staff were incredibly helpful, we drove from the UK and we used the valet service as there is no car park and it was really efficient. Really lovely boutique hotel. We had two double bedrooms, both very slightly different, due to the history of the building, but beautifully decorated, comfortable and lovely clean, stylish shower rooms. You could help yourself to the coffee machine in the lobby/lounge area, plus every guest gets a free drink when they arrive, and it was rude not to have the Hendricks G&T! Would definitely recommend!

The staff were wonderful, the room was spotless and cleaned every day, all new linen provided daily, and the location was ideal for excursions and exploring the city- 15 min train ride plus 15 minute walk from the airport, or a ~20 min taxi. I also loved that in my room I had the option for a shower OR a bath. Breakfast was included and I enjoyed the spread every day. Both buffet style and the option to order from a small menu, but very tasty and very convenient. I had read reviews about difficulty with prescheduling a time slot, but I never had any issues calling down when I woke up late/missed my slot and asking if I could come down at a different time. They were always very accommodating. I loved my stay here.

The bed and pillows were fine overall, but I didn't love them. I stayed for 9 days, so maybe a shorter stay I wouldn't have noticed that they were a tad uncomfortable for my preferences.

Gorgeous and reasonably spacious at the top of the building with an amazing view. Cosy, comfortable, good wifi, love the two free welcome drinks, and great location for cruise ship terminal or railway station..plus easy walking everywhere around the streets of Amsterdam

Stayed for 3 nights for our wedding anniversary. We spent months searching for the perfect hotel and we were not disappointed. The staff were all exceptional and nothing too much trouble. The room had everything you needed, air con was very welcome as it was hot and the view incredible. Very comfy bed and the bath in the middle of the room really was a feature. 5ish min walk (depends how quick you walk) to the train station. Thank you so much

The location is really good. I am actually staying at the hotel right now. I rather give them a feed back while I am staying not after I leave. If you have heavy luggage well the entrance has steps. So watch out. The rooms are big enough, the bathroom is small but that is quite alright too. Chekin in, the girl who checks me in wa sweet. Courteous. However the two people are manning the desk now. Barley raise their heads doesn’t fret did not explain the breakfast works. I had a questions about the house keeping, the woman was condescending. If they don’t want to be of service then they are both in the wrong industry. Being polite and helpful is what service in a hotel is. I don’t want to see some grumpy rude people manning the desk in a hotel that has been boasting good reviews.

Our first stop of our European journey was great. We arrived from the airport into central station and literally walked down the street a few blocks. They provided us with a nice welcome cocktail of our choice since we booked directly. Our room was on the 1st floor facing the large canal and street below but it was quiet. It was great to have an elevator since we had large heavy suitcases. Breakfast was served as early as 7am and included a buffet as well as à la carte choices. They provided great recommendations and service, especially Thais.

Stayed at the Hendrick’s while visiting Amsterdam. We stayed in room #6, which was unique and fun. The staff was excellent, the hotel and rooms are well appointed and clean. The hotel is located close to the Central Station and within walking distance of many landmarks and points of interest. I would recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in Amsterdam.

I have a lovely twin room, great shower, and a softish bed. The place is clean and lovely inside. The staff were friendly, helpful, and efficient. It's not too far from Centraal Station, De Wallen, and Dutch Resistance/Holocaust Museums. Only stayed 1 night but would have happily stayed more.

Our second stay at the Hendricks Hotel. We were excited to be returning and our stay didn’t disappoint. This is an excellent hotel; clean and comfortable. The location is ideal- easy walking distance of the train station and the city centre, but sufficiently away from it all to allow a good night’s sleep. All the staff we saw were friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to family and friends. If ever we return to Amsterdam, we will definitely ensure we book here again.

The main selling point of this hotel is without doubt it's staff! They are all incredibly warm and friendly, nothing is too much trouble, and we felt very welcome throughout our stay. The hotel is perfectly situated to walk from the train station, and our room had a lovely view over the water. The area the hotel is in, is quiet and peaceful, which we personally liked at the end of the days we had been surrounded by people and bikes. It is however quite a walk from the tourist areas, attractions, and restaurants, which we knew before booking, and were happy with as we don't mind a walk, but for some people getting an Uber to the main thoroughfare might be preferable. We did use Uber for a couple of trips, but it was a bit unreliable to start with, then Thays explained why, and she helped us resolve this issue quickly and easily. Thays was incredibly helpful, friendly, and informative. We are both vegan, and there was nothing on the a La Carte breakfast menu we could order, but Kelly was amazing and she immediately spoke with the chef and each morning we then had delicious, cooked veggies made for us. Renato was also wonderful, he gave us some great suggestions of places to visit, and we especially loved the bar he recommended. Our only negative about our stay, was the design of the room we had chosen to book. We did not realise prior to booking, the toilet is separate to the shower and sink, with heavy, loud closing fire doors separating them. Had we known this was the design of this room, we would have chosen a different room, where the toilet, sink and shower were all together in one room. Other than this one issue, our room was spotlessly clean, spacious, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the views were lovely. If we ever return to Amsterdam in the future, we will definitely stay at The Hendrick's Hotel again, and we would just book a different room.
