Sundowner Motel

Location was good. Pick up and drop off free. Use of umbrellas. Lady at reception was lovely beds comfy.

Picked up in a car that was full of dog hair by young girl who seemed in a hurry. She also made comments about Greymouth having nothing, not a great introduction for our stay. Then when we checked in with her she told me we hadn’t paid. I told her that I had but she wasn’t interested, didn’t enquire at all about how or when I had paid. I wasn’t going to unpack my suitcase there and then to prove it so we paid again and then had bookings.com sort it out. We were a little disappointed that we were only afforded a small bottle of milk for the first day. We had to go and buy our own the second night. There was also no option for a do not disturb so staff had entered our room when we were not there. They had made up one bed but not the other and had turned the heating off. It felt a bit intrusive. Overall it was a bed for the night and it was clean. The older lady was nice but for the price It was a bit less than.

The staff were amazing, went out of their way to help us, and the room was quiet and comfortable. Great location so close to town

It was an extremely cold day and a small wall heater simply did not heat the room, we ended up purchasing a heater. Need to upgrade to heat pumps.

It located very near to the railway station. Clean room with very friendly and helpful team members taking care of the detail of what customer needs.

Fit my needs perfectly, well equipped with almost anything you could think of.

Parking around the back of the building is a bit tight but there’s plenty of room out front if you need it.

Everything that I required was available including the laundry, which for a 10 day stay does become essential. Reasonably priced and Easy access off street parking. I will be staying here again when I come to visit family. Thankyou for a pleasant stay 😆

The location was great, very easy to walk into town. we appreciated being picked up from the train station when we arrived. Great staff.

The location is perfect for walking to town (cafes/restaurants) and supermarket. Awesome place to stay, great host and perfect facilities.

There was a good set up for cooking. We were able to make a lovely dinner. The grocery store and cafes were easy walking distance. We had a nice walk on the Riverwalk too. The staff were friendly. It was clean. Beds were good.

Some privacy curtains would be great as it is very open to the other rooms. Even the main curtains dont go to the ground so the light shone thru the bottom

Very welcoming and helpful staff. Very clean and comfortable room, great shower pressure and cosy comfy bed. Close to everything.

Good, comfortable motel near the CBD. Driving distance to the supermarket etc and a pop up Mexican food vendor on site.

Friendly management. Pick up and drop off at the train is a huge benefit, making it a great stop when traveling through the town. Easy walk into town for restaurants and shops.

It was very tired. The queen bed is past it with awful roll together and awful pillows. Cheap synthetic bedding. We had to ask for extra dishes as there were only 2 bowls for 5 people. Poor communication, me messages and emails were not replied to.

A sunny spacious unit, clean and close to a large eating establishment. Our host was delightful.

Passing trucks could be a bit noisy and the bed was quite bouncy.

This is a lovely little motel close to the train station with courtesy pickup on request. Rooms were spacious and comfy. To our pleasant surprise, Abby the host opened her little Mexican cantina at 5pm so we didn’t even have to leave the motel to have a scrumptious dinner. The food was yummy and plenty of choices. Anna the staff member was very friendly and courteous as well.

We were picked up from the train station, which was very nice. Brief overnight stay. Was clean and comfortable. Walking distance to shops, cafes and restaurants.

We had a v large cumbersome truck to park, but the parking facility out front was awesome. Everything inside was perfect

Bed and dining seats could do with replacing. Also suggest a couch or at least a good chair to sit and relax on.

Accommodation convenient for walking to town centre. Friendly reception. High pressure shower!

Loved the shower, however take care not to turn on to full pressure at the start.

The lady that greeted us was delightful. For the price we paid it represented great value for money.It was spotlessly clean. It's a no frills kind of place but terrific value for money. Shower was excellent, bed comfortable, all good thank you. Wish we had eaten at the on-sire food van- we didn't see the menu until it was too late but it looked really nice.

The host was such a kind woman, rooms were clean and facilities were adequate. They even have a laundry room. Additionally the highlight of the stay was the host runs a Mexican takeaway from the property in a cute trailer outside. The Mexican food was the best I’ve ever had and was very affordable. Geniuenly I would recommend this place to anyone staying around here.

Zero privacy, the main walkway is the balcony infront of your room. Pulling the curtains defeats the purpose of a second story room. A ton of dust and musty odor behind the bed.
